Edward's POV

OFFICE

1 Week forward

The Hotel Interior is almost finished. However, we need to source some more supplier since the completion of the project is approaching. I just reached the office and wanted to see what is in store for me.

I dialed Elaine's number which she answered in one ring.  "Elaine, I need my schedule for today." 

"Yes Sir." She said on the other line. I did not reply but just put down the phone in my side.

Doing business is my passion and I was trained doing this things since childhood that is why I want everything to be organized as possible. Even my work space area should be clean.

I heard a soft knock in the door and It opened. Elaine went in wearing her normally very short skirt with her long legs. I know she was obviously trying to get my attention but no one caught my attention apart from my wife, Keira. Just a thought of her make me smile.

"Sir." I was back to reality in just one instant when Elaine called my name. I was smiling like a stupid moron but that smile suddenly fades when I saw Elaine's flirtatious look at me. I shook my head in disapproval and just talked in my casual tone.

"Tell me my schedule now." I told her without even looking at her.

"Uhm, yes sir. As usual I did not put on any schedule for your morning schedule. You have things to do in accordance to your availability. But these non urgent matters are such:

- Meet with the logistics department for the imports of Construction Materials and Supplies

- Discuss your insights with the PEES Department for the New Tender.

And your meeting with suppliers and investors starts at 2 pm after lunch.

"2 pm -3 pm you have a meeting with the glass supplier from Italy for the glass panels installations.

3pm-4:30 pm you have a meeting with Mr. Yusaku, our Japanese investor.

4:30pm-6 pm you have a meeting with Ms. Marian Grayken, I suppose you know her, she is also from Ireland. Anyways, she is also one of our investor in our New Port Project." Elaine said after checking on something from her small notebook.

"Would that be all?"I asked her finally lifting my head to glance at the schedule that she has printed for me. Elaine maybe a bit of a bitch but she is really efficient in her work. 

"Yes Sir, I believe so. If there are any changes, I will inform you." She said

"Okay then you may leave." I was about to dismiss her when she spoke.

"Oh yeah sir, By the way, I would like to inform you that Mr. Soarez's Secretary called a while ago to remind you for the Board Meeting tomorrow. I believe he like to know the progress of the preparation of the Grand Opening of the Hotel." She said checking on her notebook again.

"Right, Ask Ms. Lewis to come to my office in 30 minutes." I told her and dismissed her initially.

Samantha has worked for us for a very long time. Though she is a Brilliant Interior Designer, every time that there is an event she handles it very smoothly so I know I can trust her with these. 

The day hasn't even started, But I am already aching for Keira. I switched my focus to the materials that I am reading. I need to finish this before 6 pm so Keira and I can both go home early.

My hands unconsciously move on its own and called on Keira's number. It was ringing but she was not picking up her phone. It made me feel uncomfortable and worried. I know she will be in the site at this time to see if those furniture that she ordered has finally arrived. But It's quite strange that she is not answering my calls. Keira is so stubborn. I told her to stop working as interior designer and focus on helping us in growing  our business. She refused because she said there might be a conflict since our companies are rival in one industry. But it can easily be solved if we merged. But I don't think that is an option now.

I am about to finished all the documents in my desk when Elaine knocked in the door to inform me that Samantha has arrived.

"Sir, Ms. Lewis is here." Elaine peeped her head from the door and asked.

"Please let her in." I told her motioning for her to let her in.

"Ms. Lewis." Elaine said as she gave way to Samantha and motioned her hand to let her in.

"Thanks Elaine." Samantha told her nicely went on her way to me.

"Hey Sam, how is everything going on." I asked her instantly and motioned for her to sit. 

"Oh Everything is great, well how about you. How was the honeymoon?" She asked I can't help but roll my eyes, I don't want to share anything personal at work actually but this is Samantha and she is like a big sister to me. Besides I cannot hide the fact that I am also still feeling static remembering Keira.

"Sam, I'm actually asking about the preparation for the party that you are organizing. Mr. Soarez and I will be having a meeting by tomorrow so I just need few pointers. If you can send me an email of the updates then that would be perfect." I told her leaning towards her and smiling

"Oh boy, there he goes again. I thought you would loosen up a bit when you decided to get married, but I feel nothing has changed to your work routine, if that will please you I will send it through e-mail, alright?" She said patting my shoulder

"Sorry, I Just wanted to make everything settled so we will have no issues later." I told her smirking

"It's alright Edward, I knew you since you were little."She told me shaking her head

"What was that suppose to mean, is it a good or a bad thing?" I asked her frowning

"Na-ah! Edward! So now, how was the honeymoon?" She asked not giving up the topic.

"It was amazing Sam, that is why I am arranging everything fast. I can't wait to go back home to pick up my wife." I told her impatiently. I never have to hide anything to Samantha. She knows too me well.

"Oh young love what can I say?" She said holding both of her hands excitedly.

"I bet wish me babies?" I Just said and smiled at her and started to flip some papers and sat down and continue to read some papers. Sam knows me very well so she don't mind if I continue the work but also talk to her.

"Of course, I do! I hope when you have babies you will learn to loosen up a bit." She said smiling with my remarks.

I did not say anything but smiled and continue reading.

"Hey, what about Marian? I heard she is in town now? " Samantha asked curiously. She knows very well the story of Marian and I. 

"Yeah, Just work. Their company wants to invest in ours so, that's it." I answered nonchalantly.
