KEIRA'S POV

After we finished dinner, we went straightly to Lilly's room. I already took a shower and Lilly is now in the washroom. Lilly's house has a guest room but then we normally sleep together because of our nonstop chats. I already told her everything during dinner. Everything, except Edward's "business proposal"

I am reading a book sitting in the bed when I heard my phone rang. It is Daniel, my heart stopped beating for a moment thinking if I should answer his call.  I just looked at it and let the ringing stop. Then I received a message coming from Daniel.

It says,"Love, I am so sorry for everything. But believe me when I said that I love you." 

"Bullshit!" I said as I threw the phone at the side of the bed. That was the time when Lilly came.

"Hey what's wrong?" She asked me with her eyebrows furrowed at me.

"It was Daniel," I said frowning at her, looking at my phone.

"The nerve! He really have the guts to call you! huh?" She said with a voice full of irritation.

"Until now, I cannot imagine that Daniel will do that to you. I thought he already changed." Lilly told me as she is scanning the scene that I sent her this morning. 

"You really are a wild witch Keira! Imagine? You even thought of doing this to Daniel! I am so proud of you!" She said laughing as she is watching the video again.

"Come on! They both deserve that. If I only have ants, or scorpions or snakes I will throw it at their faces." I told her laughing

"Such a cunning idea! Men should never mess with my girl!!" She said as she put down the phone and went into my back and gave me a massage.

"You go girl!" Lilly said as she continues to massage my shoulders.

"Enough you psycho!" I pushed her hands away laughing at her. We talked about different topics but and finally decided to go to sleep when it was already 9. I really love to stay with Lilly when I am not feeling well because talking to her makes me feel better. Though we talk about Daniel, the talk was a bit lighter because I never want to bring back those heavy emotions within me. When I closed my eyes, I saw Edward's face smiling at me. Then I remembered his proposition. Instantly I opened my eyes again and sat on the bed.

I glanced at Lilly's direction and she is already sleeping soundly on the other side. When I went back to bed, The next thought that comes into my mind was Daniel. The happy moments that we were together. I have known him for almost 5 years. And now I will have to move on and learn how to live without him for good. I feel so devastated and broken but crying is not an option for me. Today is the last time that I will ever cry for Daniel.Those were the last thoughts in my mind before I fell asleep.

It is 6 am when Lilly woke me up.

"Wake up Lazy Bells!" Its strange, even if I slept late I always get up at 5 am. But maybe because of the crying I fell asleep really hard.

"Why are you up so early?" I asked her yawning and I stretched my arms.

"Its already 6 am Keira, are you going for work today?" She asked me.

"Oh, Yes, But I did not bring any clothes with me." I suddenly sat down on the bed as I told her with my eyes wide open. I cannot believe that did not thought about that.

"Its not a problem, you can choose any clothes from my wardrobe, like the old days." She said and hugged me.

"You are really my angel" I said and leaned my head to her shoulder.

"I know! But your lover boy is already waiting downstairs!" She said giggling.

"D--Daniel?" my mood suddenly changed horrid and turned to her direction with wide eyes and my mouth agape.

"Silly! I mean Edward! The Demi-God!" She said rolling her eyes because of the way I reacted.

"What is he doing here so early?" I asked her looking so confused.

"I don't know, that is what I am about to ask to you." She told me in a teasing manner, poking my waist.

"Silly! I will just take a bath real quick!" I told her as I jumped off the bed 

I quickly took a bath and went to Lilly's wardrobe. To my surprise this girl doesn't have any dress corporate dress. So I just took the most decent dress that I found and fix myself quickly. I just applied some blush on and lipstick, and some light make up. Then quickly went down the stairs. Lilly and Edward are both in the living room talking casually. Edward, instantly stood up as he saw me heading their way. 

"Hi." Edward greeted me with an unreadable emotion. 

"Hi, why are you here so early?" I asked him

"You have to come with me. Let's go?" He said looking a bit uneasy. He is not in the usual arrogant and bossy tone this time.

"I haven't eaten anything yet." I told him as I looked at Lilly. It is so strange that Lilly is looking at me with an amused expression.

"You're foods are already packed sweetheart." Lilly said while handling me my morning shake and winked at me looking like a dork.

"Go!" she said pushing me and Edward away. 

She is acting so weird, I can't understand. Edward guided me to his car. We were already inside when he started to talk again.

"It is a great idea that you slept in your friends house. Your house was full of reporters outside. I think you can never get out the house if you have decided to sleep there last night." He said as his voice is full of concern.

I just gasped but I am unable to utter a word. I wanted to ask about my dad but I cannot find my voice. Suddenly, I felt his hands holding mine.

"Are you ok, Keira?" He asked me again.

"I -- I guess I am." I told him and smiled awkwardly. We are still on the parking lot outside Lilly's house when my phone rang. It was Airah. She is asking me to come to the hospital. She said dad would like to see me. So I told Edward immediately. I want to see what is going on with Dad now.

"Uhm, Keira, there is something that I have to tell you." Edward said as he faced me properly.

"What is it?" I coaxed him.

"I-- I told your Dad that I would like to ask for your hands in marriage. Since Dad already interfered, he offered financing to your Dad's business should we get married. Your father is planning for expansion and he will be needing to raise his capital. " He said weighing my reaction to his revelation

"So why do I need to marry you if Dad would need an expansion? He always expand his business and was able to finance on his own. It is so strange that this time I would have to marry you in order to raise capital?" I asked him in disbelief

"They have decided that the best way to expand is to merge our company's assets. And it will only happen if we agree to marry." He said and his eyes is trying to convince me.

"Funny, why me? Why not you and Aira? Or Daniel and I?" I asked him with my mouth agape.

"Are you out of your mind? We are way better than our siblings. Have you forgotten how my brother tarnished our family's reputation with his wild partying? Same goes with your sister? Think about it for a moment, for now we have to go to your father and talk to him" He said as he drive the car. 

The traffic light turns red so we stopped the car. As I was sipping on my shake I saw Daniel with a girl entering inside the restaurant. He is holding her waist and they were happily talking to each other. I felt my heart is being crushed, I feel so broken and devastated. 

How can he move on so fast?

I just caught him yesterday.

Does he ever really loved me?

The fact that he sent me a message this morning. He is really a jerk and thinking about it I have made an instant decision.

Edward has made a very clear point. There is not much to loose anyways. So I looked at Edward who started the car as the light turns green.

"E-Edward. I've made up my mind. I am accepting your proposition." I said as I heaved a sigh and looked at him.

"You made up your mind so fast. What is the reason behind this?" He asked as he glanced at me. We are now heading the hospital's parking area.

"I want your brother to see that I will not go crying over him." I looked at him as he is now parking the car.

"Great! Now you have your reasons so we will have to keep up with each other." he told me looking into my eyes.

"There are press people outside the hospital, we have to act like a real couple. Today I will release a statement to clear your name." He said touching my chin 

"You have to be comfortable whenever we kissed and touch, like now there are press at the back, act natural, I will have to kiss you." He said leaning his face closer to me. 

I felt his wicked lips brushed against mine. He caressed my face with the touch of his hands and kissed lightly. I felt how his lips tremble as mine does. I also notice him trying to hold back as if controlling himself.

"I guess that was enough to show" He said whispering at me as he placed his forehead to mine ending the kiss

I wasn't able to talk for a moment. I don't understand myself every time I am with Edward I feel lost and unable to find my tongue back. I don't understand his plans, what is he up to, and why does he have to kiss me? I have no idea. I just agreed to marry him but I never Imagined that we will also be physically involved. I am so naive not to think about it. "What mess have you entered again Keira!" I asked myself as I mentally slap my self.

"Shall we?" Edward asked after opening the door of his car. I did not respond as I don't want him to notice that my knees were shaking from the kiss that we just shared.

INSIDE THE HOSPITAL

"The moment of truth." I told him, I did not expect Edward's next action, as he hugged me towards his chest when we were entering the hospital.

"What was that for?" I asked him but he just walked very fast almost carrying me from his hug.

"There were press all over. Walk fast!" He said whispering to my ear,Finally we entered the hospital. Security stopped the press from coming to us.

I didn't know that the hospital will have that much press and I was caught off guard on what is going on. 

"We hired the security team to watch over this hospital, your sister is so busy taking care of your father so My Dad took care of that matter." He explained as if he read my mind.

When we reached Dad's room, Aira opened the door and looked surprise when he saw Edward with me, but did not say anything. My Dad is on the bed with Fluids connected to his hands.

"D-Dad, I am glad you're awake." I said and instantly hugged him while I sat at the chair close to him. My eyes brimmed with tears as I hugged him. I did not hear any reply from him, which made my heart sank with more sadness. I know he is still mad at me.

"Patrick and I have already decided---" I cut Dad with his talking 

"D--Dad it's fine, I have already agreed to Edward. We will get married." I said hugging him more.

"K--Keira!" He said with wide eyes and mouth agape.

"It's alright Dad, I will make things right." I said with a weak smile as I looked at him.

" We have decided to get married as soon as possible sir." Edward intervened as he place his hands at my shoulders.

"Why did you decide so abruptly?" My Dad asked as he looks at me.

"I told you Dad, I will do anything for you to forgive me again." I told him and hugged him again.

"If you two are not fooling around, then where is your ring?" Dad asked eyeing Edward.

"I was just waiting for your blessing sir." Edward said as he took a red velvet box from his pocket and opened it. I was mesmerized by the diamond ring inside the box.It was an oval shaped diamond ring. He kneel down before me and in front of my father and sister.

"It's the first time that I will get married so I want to take the chance. Keira Soarez, I know It may look and sound probably crazy but will you m--marry me?" My mouth is agape in disbelief. I did not expect that Edward will do this. I looked at Aira and Dad smiling at me.

"Keira?!" Aira called my name impatiently as she is holding her phone and taking a video of me and Edward. 

"I -- I will!" I said and handed my trembling hands to him as he slide the ring into my hands and to my surprise it fits perfectly to me. But what surprised me more is when Edward kissed my lips in front of my sister and father who is now enjoying the show. Edward crushed his lips hungrily to me leaving me breathless after the earth shattering kiss. 

"Woo--hoooo! Go Girl!" Aira came to me and hugged me and said "I cannot believe my little sister is getting married now." She said and hugged me again.

"I don't know what games are you playing but better play it right with my sister, or else you will get your own dose." Aira told Edward but later on giving him a hug.

My Dad did not say anything but just gave me a hug. And later he asked Aira and I to go to the living room adjacent to his room as my Dad is in the hospital suite. 

"I will post this Keira, for sure everyone will get crazy about this revelation." Aira said uploading the video that she took a while ago.

CAPTION: "I can't believe my small sister has finally found her happily-ever-after"  

"Aira you don't have to do that, anyway Edward will have a press con later today." I said trying to stop her.

"Too late girl, I already posted it." She said and winked at me.

At the same day Edward gave a statement that we were both in a relationship for a long time and just hid our relationship to the public. But now since rumors are spreading fast he decided to reveal the real score between the both of us. Instantly, all the issues and speculations went down the drain. Plus the fact that Aira posted the video of Edward's proposal to her IG Story made Edward's confession more genuine.

"How come you have a ring?" I asked Edward, we are now in the restaurant having dinner together like real couples.

"Welcome to my world princess" He said shrugging his shoulders.

"What do you exactly mean by that?" I asked him curiously

"In my world everything is certain, everything is well prepared, so you have to be used to it, since you are going to be my wife." He answered while he continues to eat his food.

"So you were certain that I will marry you, huh?" I asked him while I cut the salmon and took a bite.

He did not reply but just shrugged his shoulders and continue eating.

"And do you really have to propose in front of my father and sister? Plus the fact that you kissed me in front of them is not really necessary, since my Dad already knows about the whole thingy, right?" I asked him as I stared at him intently.

"You're father knows, but your sister doesn't so I have to put up a show." He said still eating heartily which starts to annoy me.

"You know what? You should be an actor instead of Daniel." I told him, which made him gave me that grim expression but just continued his food. After few moments he talk again.

"Anyways, we can get married this weekend at the resort once your father gets discharged. It will just be a private ceremony, so we will only invite selected people. We just have to get this done fast." He said as if he is discussing an ordinary business topic to me.

"Are you sure everything will pull off the right way?" I told him in disbelief

"I have your gown by Ellie Saab tailored already. It will be ready for fitting by Wednesday, and the wedding can be held by Saturday." He told me

"How come? It should take months before it will be ready? And anyways I can just buy a ready to wear gown by Ellie Saab, you don't have to bother. You have to remember everything is just a charade." I told him and rolled my eyes, hiding the fact that my heart is hammering. Does this mean that he planned all of this things ahead of time? 

"I know that this is just a charade, but you don't have to remind me every time!" He said in an angry tone. 

Why would he be mad when he was the one who suggested this made up wedding plan. 

After that Edward did not talk to me the whole night. He just drove me back home after our dinner. 

"Goodnight soon to be Mrs. McDonaugh." Edward said as he bid goodnight.
