Chapter 18 - Meeting his family?

The next day, we had made it to London safely. I was sitting outside waiting for Stephen to come out of the bathroom. I go into my snapchat snapping pictures of myself.

Swiping to my friends' stories I notice Stephen just added a picture to his story.

This guy was really taking pictures right now. Clicking on his picture, I click chat and send him a message.

Elijahgirl12490: Elijah, come on! Or else I'll find myself another British hottie.😉 Ooo..I found one.

A few minutes later, I see Stephen walking towards me. I get up from out of my seat, turning back around I pick up my bag from the seat next to mine.

Stephen catches me off guard, and kisses me hard. "E-Elijah! What are you doing?" I mumble.

Breaking the kiss, my chest arises up and down erratically. "Showing other guys you belong to me." Rolling my eyes I walk pass him.

"Such a guy!" He grips my waist walking beside me. Pecking my forehead he grins cheeky.

"This is why I don't like you sometimes." I sigh. Stephen and his cute little grin.

I could never be mad at him for too long. Especially, with that smile of his always igniting something inside me.

We grab a taxi once we get out of the airport. He said his father was working, and his mother was cooking dinner for our arrival.

I was kind of scared to be staying at his parents house. I had no clue if his mother was old school, and made us sleep in separate rooms.

I mean, I would respect her wishes regardless, but I was hoping that wasn't the case.

It took us about thirty-one minutes to get to Stephen's hometown in Hammersmith, London. It was actually nice in London.

I had never been out of the country before until now. But I was really liking London a lot.

The streets were very narrow, but I noticed that there was a lot of traffic here. Feeling my hand get squeezed, I turn my head to see Stephen staring at me.

"What?" I ask confused.

"How are you liking London so far?" Smiling I lean over towards him pecking his lips.

"I like it. I can't wait to see where you grew up at." I smirk. I was looking forward to Stephen's mom showing me old baby pictures of him.

I could already see the hint of worry in his eyes. Laughing at his facial expression, I peck his lips again.

"Don't worry baby. I promise I won't poke fun at you." Sighing he turns away from me, and continues staring out of the taxi window.

"Elijah..I was only joking" I pout. I move closer towards him hugging him, and pecking his cheek.

"I know, mi amor. I just wanted to see what you would do." Turning around in my arms, I see that same cheeky grin on his sexy face.

Rolling my eyes I move away from him, but he holds me in place. "Don't you move away from daddy, mi amor." He whispers lowly, so only I could hear. Tensing up I feel the heat circulate throughout my body.

Biting my bottom lip I nod my head looking down. "That's a good girl" Breaking up our little heated moment we finally get to our destination.

The taxi stops outside a cute little house. Stephen opens the door, and gets out first. Extending his hand out I grab ahold of it as he helps me out.

When I get out, our bags are already neatly placed on the sidewalk. Turning towards the driver, Stephen pays him the fair.

Grabbing our bags, I follow behind Stephen towards the house. He knocks on the door making sure it's loud enough for them to hear.

Hearing shuffling on the other side of the door. The door unlocks, and it slowly opens up. An older woman opens up the door smiling widely.

I could already tell she was Stephen's mom. Same brown hair, and those captivating green eyes.

She was slim with nicely proportionate curves for an older woman. She had to be around 5'8, but she was overall beautiful.

" 'Allo me boy. We missed you. Come in 'ere." She smiles engulfing him in a hug. She pulls him inside, and I follow behind them.

The house was neatly decorated, and there were many family photos that hung around the walls. Walking Stephen into the living room, I see a whole bunch of people.

"'endry finally came back to visit, man" A guy that had similar features to Stephen grins at him. I was guessing that was his brother. They give each other a hug, patting each other on the back.

"'endry, who's yor mate right 'ere, isit? I thought yer said yer was bringin' yor girlfriend. Wasn't it Grace?" His mom asks him.

I was really confused, I couldn't understand what they were talking about. I mean, I understood some of the things that were being said, but overall I was lost.

At times I even had trouble understanding what Stephen said to me, because of his accent.

But honestly it wasn't as thick as his family's. I guess due to living in Barcelona, he learned how to turn it on and off. I don't know.

Standing there awkwardly, I look down biting my bottom lip. Stephen looks at me, then at his mother.

"No mum. Me and Grace broke up a year ago. This is me girlfriend ____." Stephen's accent was more thicker, I could tell he felt more at home.

"Oh. Yer know I don't keep up wiv yor relationships. Grace were such a nice girl though." Shrugging her shoulders, she turns towards me smiling.

"'Allo. I'm 'endry's mum, Olivia. Nice meetin' yer." I was a little hesitant at first, but I return her smile.

"Nice to meet you too, Mrs. Hendry." I greet her back.

An hour later, we settled into Stephen's old room. I had saw old photos of him when he use to play soccer or 'football' as it's called here.

He looked so young and youthful. Now, he looked all grown up and so handsome.

Sitting in the living room I had met Stephen's two brothers and sister. His father had even came home from work.

I could see where Stephen got his looks from. His father, him, and his brothers all had identical features.

I had also found out that his mom and him were messing with me. They knew I wasn't going to understand cockney dialect. I was relief to know that they were only joking around.

"endry! Dinner is ready bring ____ with you." His mother yells from the kitchen.

Grabbing my hand he pulls me up from off of the couch. I follow behind him towards the dining room.

The table was set up with different types of plates and bowls of food. I couldn't wait to eat, my stomach felt as if it would eat itself at any minute.

Stephen pulls out my chair for me, taking a seat I thank him. He sits in the chair next to me.

A few minutes later, the whole family was sitting at the table with us. We first said a prayer, and then digged in.

The food was very good, I was enjoying having dinner with Stephen's family. "So, 'endry. What happened with you and Grace?" His mom asks him.

Looking up from his food, Stephen almost chokes. Coughing he looks up at his mom. Looking across the table, I see one of his brothers smirking.

"Mum. It's not important. _____ is my girlfri-" He starts to say, but his brother cuts him off.

"Oh, 'endry. What number girlfriend is this now? 8th? 9th?" His brother smirks smugly.

Turning my head I face Stephen, his eyes were a dark shade of green and I could see his body tense up.

"Shut the hell up!" My eyes grow wide, and I flinch at his outburst.

"Stephen James Henry! Watch your mouth." His mom glares.

"But-" Stephen begins to say, but his father cuts him off this time.

"Listen to your mum." His father sternly says.

The room grows awkwardly silent. Everyone avoids eye-contact with one another, and continue eating. I didn't think things would go downhill this fast.

And why did his mother keep asking about this Grace woman? Was Stephen cheating on me? Was I just really another one of his ex-girlfriends? I was beginning to feel very uncomfortable, and I had just gotten here not too long ago.

After dinner, everyone goes to their rooms to get ready for bed. I sat in Stephen's room looking at the different metals, and pictures that hung around his room.

I knew he was great at playing football, and played midfield for the Marfin Laiki League team Nea Salamis Famagusta FC. He also played in the Coca-Cola Football League one for his youth career.

The guy was talent in every way possible. But I didn't understand why his family was acting so strange. Was it because of me? Did I cause a ruckus?

Breaking me from my thoughts, Stephen walks into the room closing the door behind him. He sits on the bed next to me. Looking down I let out a sigh, I turn my body facing him.

"Look, I don't know what's going on. But if this has something to do with me being here then tell me. I don't want to be a burden." I frown.

Grabbing both my hands, he intertwines our hands together. "Baby, it has nothing to do with you. My mom is just still a little on the fence about my career. She wanted me to continue football. And as for Grace she was just an old ex-girlfriend. I won't lie to you I've dated a few girls, but nobody has ever made me feel the way that you make me feel. I'm in love with you." He confesses.

My eyes become glossy, and I knew I was going to cry. Stephen was an amazing guy, and he was always brutally honest with me. I loved him for that.

Moving forward I kiss his lips, he responses kissing me back. The kiss was soft and gentle.

I could tell this kiss held meaning behind it. He had finally confessed to me that he was in love with me. And I wanted to let him know that I felt the same way too.

"I've been in love with you, since the first day I met you in person. And I fell back in love you, yesterday when you went through all that trouble to do that picnic when it wasn't necessary. But I do appreciate that you did it." I mumble breaking our kiss.

"You fell out of love with me?" He asks puzzled.

"Elijah, we have are ups and downs. But that doesn't mean I wasn't in love with you. I was just..hurt. I love you, Elijah so much it freaking hurts. I would have never stood with you this long if I wasn't head over heels for yo-" Cutting me off his lips smash back onto mine.

He pushes me back onto the bed without breaking our kiss. His body weighs on top of mine, and it just felt so right.

"I love you, mi amor." He whispers against my lips.
