Author's P.O.V. 
"Finally. Home sweet home!" Manic groaned loudly as he opened the door. "I'm going to sleep. Wake me up when food's ready." He walked straight to his room and closed the door then plopped on the bed. 

"Okay!" Sonia chuckled and sat on the couch. "Today was a rough day." She sighed. 

"It was…" He groaned and walked to the kitchen. "And we forgot to go buy groceries. Should I go? I want to go for a run." Sonic groaned as he grabbed a water bottle and drank some water. 

"Sure." Sonia shrugged. "Be careful." She added and laid on the couch then turned on the TV. 

The azure one nodded and walked to the door then locked it once he was outside and dashed off trying to find a store. When he made it, he stopped and walked in. He walked around the aisles and yawned since he was tired.

"Hey Sonic!" Amy smiled and walked to the azure hedgehog when he noticed him. 

The azure one looked around and saw Amy then waved at her. "Hey, you are, Amy, right?" He asked just to be sure as he put some stuff on the basket. 

"Yes." Amy giggled.

"Hi." He walked to her.

"Hello!" She smiled sweetly. "How are you?" 

"I'm fine. Umm…" He wasn't used to talking to people. "I'm sorry… About what happened at lunch." 

"That's okay, it was very brave of you to stand up to your sister and Sally." The pink hedgehog shook her head. "But you should be careful around Shadow, he doesn't like when people try to put him in his place." 

"Thank you for warning me." The azure one mumbled and he looked at the cart. "I think I have everything I need. I would invite you to come have dinner at our house but we haven't finished unpacking yet so it's a mess." He chuckled. 

"Oh, that's okay. We have a whole semester in front of us." She laughed. "I'll see you later!" She waved at Sonic and walked away. 

Sonic sighed in relief when she left and tried to calm himself down, he had a light blush across his muzzle and his ears were lowered. He wasn't paying attention to where he was going as he looked at what he had again to make sure he didn't need to come back. He accidentally bumped into someone.

"Watch it." The man said and growled lowly, but quickly stopped when he saw who hit him. "You again? You don't listen, do you?" He grabbed his basket and growled. 

"Hey!" The azure one tried to pull the basket back to him. "What's your problem?" He tried not to stutter. 

"My problem? You're my problem, idiot." Shadow let go of the basket. "You won't get away with this." 

"You're such an ass, you're crazy if you think we'll let you get near our sister." The azure one growled lowly, he almost tripped when Shadow let go of the basket since he was pulling back. 

"Keep talking, see where it will take you." The ebony hedgehog glared at his now rival. "You'll regret messing with me." He walked away after that. 

Sonic scoffed lightly. "Typical fuckboy talk." He rolled his eyes and walked to pay for his stuff. Once he had everything in bags, he glanced around to see if Shadow was around then dashed off. 

"What took you so long?" Sonia asked when she saw her brother walk in. "Did you find Sally at the store?" 

"No, I found Amy and Shadow at the store." He corrected as he locked the door and put the stuff in the table. "I don't feel like cooking."

"Nobody does." The pink hedgehog yawned and stood up. "But I guess I'm doing it since I was sleeping while you and Manic were unpacking." She chuckled. "Still didn't get enough sleep though." She walked to the kitchen. 

"I'll finish cleaning the living room while you cook." He was going to finish quickly either way with his speed. 

"Fine. What do you want to eat?" Sonia looked at what Sonic bought. 

"Anything. I'm not in the mood for anything in specific today." He dashed around the living room cleaning. 

"No running in the house." Sonia laughed softly as she started making chicken. "You might wake up Manic." 

"Too late. I finished." The azure one plopped in the couch and groaned. He was tired. 

"You need to get some sleep after you eat." The pink hedgehog said. "You seem exhausted." 

"Because I am. I didn't sleep much last night and I also didn't eat at school." Sonic groaned and closed his eyes.

"Well then get some sleep, I'll wake you up when the food is ready." Sonia went to Sonic's room and brought him his blanket. 

"Thanks." He wrapped himself in it then fell asleep almost immediately.

This made Sonia chuckle and smile slightly as she continued preparing the food.

"Sonic! Manic! Get up! The food is ready." Sonia shouted. 

"Coming…!" Manic groaned since he was still tired. 

The azure one hummed and covered his ears with the cushion he was sleeping with. He didn't want to wake up, he was still really tired.

"Sonic." The pink hedgehog grabbed the blanket and threw a cold wet towel at his face. "Wake up."

The blue hedgehog gasped and sat up then threw it to the floor. "Hey!" 

"I'll do the same to Manic if he doesn't get up!" She said a little loud for Manic to hear.

"Leave me out of this!" Manic opened the door and walked to his siblings. "I'm up." He groaned. 

"Whatever. What did you make?" He stood up as he dried his face with his blanket then walked to the kitchen. 

"Chicken." The pink hedgehog sat down, she had made the table. "Sit down." 

"So, whenever you cook, we have to keep it fancy?" The green one raised a brow and sat down. 

"I hope not. I'm not going to be making the table everytime we eat." Sonic started eating already. "I can't believe it's barely 5 in the afternoon." He groaned.

"Yeah, time hates us." Manic groaned. "I have to do my homework." He groaned even louder when he remembered.

"I already did mine." The pink hedgehog chuckled. 

"I forgot to tell you guys but Sally said we can get away from doing the homework once the teachers see we are 'special kids' but Manic, you need to still do it." The azure one said.

"Nope." Manic shook his head. "Ain't doing it."

"Manic." Sonia said sternly. 

"Do it or I will not go to the clubs with you and Scourge anymore. I don't see why you are still trying to hook me up with someone." The azure one chuckled as he ate.

"Well, you never know." The green hedgehog shrugged. "Alright. I'll do it. But you're coming with me to the club this Friday." 

Sonic groaned and sighed then nodded. "Fine." He rolled his eyes and finished eating. "I'm going to do my homework then sleep." He stood up and went to his room.

"Same." The green hedgehog stood up. "Thanks for the food sis." He walked to his room and plopped on the bed then called his boyfriend.

"Hey babe~" Scourge answered the phone. 

"Hey." Manic yawned. "Am I bothering?" He knew Scourge was always in trouble so he wanted to make sure.

"No, I'm at home this time." Scourge was laying down on the couch watching a movie and eating chips. "What's up?" 

"I'm bored." The smaller one groaned. "The school sucks. I already have homework to do." He hugged his pillow. 

"Then come live with me, instead of doing homework, we will be having some fun~" The other smirked.

"If you mean stealing, then I'd love to." Manic rolled his eyes. "But I can't 'cause Ma will have me locked in the castle if she finds me." 

"Come on, you guys are already living alone. I doubt your siblings will snitch on you." He scoffed.

"And I doubt you know my siblings." Manic chuckled. "By the way, are you free on Friday?" 

"Depends, what are we doing~?" 

"I wanna to go out. Get some drinks." He sat up and grabbed his backpack then took his books out. "Because I can't stand school." 

"Sure I'll go, are we still trying to hook up Blue with a guy?"

"Nah, I'm just taking him to get his mind off of school." Manic started doing his homework. "I still don't understand why Maths exist. What the hell is this?!" He looked at an equation. 

"Aren't the teacher going to pass you either way?" He chuckled. 

"I hope so, because I don't understand a single thing. What are those letters?" Manic raised a brow and looked closer to his book. "Too bad you're as clever as a potato, I can't ask for your help." 

"Oh whatever. I don't need school." He rolled his eyes and put his boyfriend on speaker as he ate some chips. 

"You're just too stupid." Manic chuckled, he gave up with his homework and put it aside then hugged his pillow again. 

"Yet you're dating me." He chuckled. 

"Because I feel pity." The younger one hummed. "And I can teach you some things about stealing." 

"Mhm. Sure. I am way better than you." The older one said on the other side of the phone. 

"At getting caught? Absolutely." Manic smirked. "I've stolen so many things from you and you haven't even noticed." 

"Wait What?" The other sat up. "What?" 

"Yeah, why do you think you're running out of cigarettes so fast?" The smaller one chuckled. "I have your pillow right next to me." He lied, he was hugging it but he knew Scourge will think wrong so he decided to change it a bit. "I check your phone from time to time. You want me to continue?" 

"You check my phone? Hey! You're paying for those cigarettes." He rolled his eyes at what his boyfriend said. "I'm getting you back this Friday, you'll see." 

Manic laughed. "Yeah right. You'll be busy checking out the girls that walk by us at the club." He joked, even though he felt a bit insecure about that. He usually didn't care about who Scourge was looking at, but now that they are far from each other, he can't help but worry. 

"Are you getting jealous babe~?" The other one chuckled again. "Can't I see you before Friday?"

"I ain't jealous." The smaller one rolled his eyes. "I don't think you can. There's no way Sonia will let me." 

"What if I go?" The other groaned, wanting to see his boyfriend.

"Nope." Manic sighed. "I don't know… Maybe I can see you tomorrow…?" He rubbed his face. 

"Great." He smiled slightly. 

Manic hummed. "Yeah." He yawned. "I don't have anything interesting to say. How was your weekend?" 

"Boring. I need you to be here."

The smaller one smiled slightly and chuckled. "You missed me~?" He teased and looked at the pillow. 

"Oh shut up." He rolled his eyes not wanting to admit that his boyfriend was changing him.

"Okay, okay. I'll stop." The younger one sighed. "I'm so tired." He groaned. "I'm gonna pass out." 

"Then go to sleep, call me tomorrow." 

"Mhm." Manic nodded. "See ya tomorrow." Scourge hummed and nodded then hung up the phone. 

The green hedgehog smiled softly and hid his face in his boyfriend's pillow then fell asleep almost immediately, quietly purring.
