Author’s P.O.V. 
"I-I…" Shadow stuttered as he blushed at the cute smile Sonic had on his muzzle. He sighed and gave in, knowing he didn't have anything else to do in the castle either way. "Okay…" 

The prince looked at his blush and stayed quiet about it. He knew Shadow had feelings for him but he didn't say anything about his own feelings yet. He nodded still smiling at the ebony one. "I'm here for you Shadow, and I would love if you were to trust me a bit more." 

The ebony hedgehog looked at Sonic and slowly nodded. "I mean… It's hard to take you seriously with all that paint…" 

Sonic laughed and looked down then shook his head. "Get used to it, I really can't take it off." He laughed and looked up at him. 

"You look like Knuckles." Shadow rested back on the bed frame, finally calming down a little. "I hope you don't have bad temper like him." 

Sonic laughed again. "He has a bad temper? He was really nice when we met him." He chuckled. 

"Yes. He was my first target when I wanted to mess with someone. You just tell him he has a bad temper and he loses it." Shadow chuckled quietly.  

Sonic shook his head and sighed. "Too bad we moved from that school. I was getting along with Silver." 

"I have his number if you want to talk to him." Shadow took his phone out and wiped another tear. 

Sonic shook his head. "That's fine, he gave me his number the day we were leaving." He looked at Shadow. "How are you feeling?" He smiled softly. 

"Better, I guess." The ebony hedgehog put his phone on the nightstand. "Still depressed, but it'll get better." 

"Is there anything I can do to help you…?" 

Shadow stayed quiet for a bit and glanced at the smaller one's lips but shook his head. "You did enough already." He laid down. "You can go now. I'll be here if you need me." 

Sonic slowly nodded and stood up then grabbed his hand and squeezed it. He smiled cutely at him without thinking. "If you need anything, I'll be in my room." He let go of his hand and walked to the door.

The agent quickly hid his face under the blanket when the Prince left and madly blushed at the smile. His mind was stuck on Sonic and wasn't leaving him alone. 

Sonic blushed as soon as he closed the door of the room. He rubbed his face trying to calm down and shook his head. He walked to his room before anyone saw him blush and locked the door. 

"Sonic." The agent tapped on the azure hedgehog's shoulder, he had chaos controlled in the room.

The prince tensed up lightly and turned around to face him. "Shadow…?" 

"Forgive me." Shadow whispered before he leaned in and kissed the smaller one as he pulled him closer. 

Sonic's ears perked up and gasped as he tensed up but quickly melted into the kiss and kissed back. He dropped his ears as he kissed him. 

The ebony hedgehog let one last tear out in the kiss, he felt relieved that he didn't get punched or kicked.

Sonic was madly blushing, up to the tip of his ears as he slowly pulled away when he felt his tear. He looked at Shadow in the eyes with his ears dropped. "W-wh-what… w-was… W-why… d-did you k-kiss me…?" He stuttered as he madly blushed. 

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything. I like you, I didn't want any of this to happen." Shadow held the Prince's muzzle. "I know I hurt you, but I promise I won't do it again. Just give a chance. Please." 

The azure one couldn't stop blushing and stayed quiet for a bit then slowly nodded and leaned in his touch. "I'll… I'll give you a chance…" 

Shadow smiled slightly and kissed the azure hedgehog again, he didn't move his hands at all and kept them above his shoulders. 

Sonic's ears perked up and kissed back again. He purred very quietly and blushed a darker color at that. 

The ebony hedgehog heard that and pulled away then wiped his lips that had a bit of paint from kissing Sonic. "You should probably take a bath." 

"I-I was about to…" He stuttered again and looked away trying to calm down his blush. 

"Did I make you uncomfortable?" Shadow took a small step back to give the other some space. 

"N-no… I-I just…" He shook his head and rubbed his face trying to calm down. "Y-you took me off guard… I-I didn't expect you to kiss me… Or say any of that…" 

"I didn't expect you to give me another chance." The agent sighed quietly in relief. "Now I can sleep peacefully."

"Mom?" Sonic walked into the dining room and looked at Aleena. "Can I talk to you…?" He smiled softly. 

"Sure, Maurice, what is it?" Aleena asked softly and looked at her son. 

"Well… Shadow and I need to talk to you." He motioned Shadow to come in the room. 

The ebony hedgehog walked in the room and look at the Queen. 

"What is it?" Aleena smiled slightly, getting an idea. 

"I-I well…" He looked down and lowered his ears slightly. "W-we… Just wanted to tell you… T-that we are dating…" He said trying to stay calm.

"That's great news." The Queen smiled. "I believe now you're feeling more comfortable with us, right?"

"Yeah…" Shadow nodded, surprised that she took it so calmly and didn't kick him out. 

Sonic walked closer to Shadow and smiled then held his hand and rested his head on his shoulder.
