I sat crossed legged, my eyes skimming over the information we recovered from Kabuto, the location of a few of their hideouts was included, each one was raided within the past month and they were completely wiped out, nothing but walls and floor, it feels like our step forwards was in fact a jump back.

A knock on my door snapped me out of my trace that "come in" I stated my eyes not leaving the information there has to be one more clue... one more piece of information... anything.

I felt arms wrap around me from behind and I turned to face them "Neji" I muttered before leaning my back onto his chest as i continued to skim through the information. "Naruto came home yesterday, he was sent off on an emergency mission, my team is being sent as backup we leave in 20 minutes, the akatsuki are involved" he explained running his fingers through my hair gently.

I kisses his cheek and muttered "be safe... And Neji... if you see Itachi tell him to tell Sasuke before it's too late" I muttered picking up one of the scrolls labelled 'Sasori of the Red Sand'.
"What should he tell Sasuke" Neji asked quietly almost like it was a question to himself. "Spoilers" I replied before noticing some important information.

"Change of plans, I'm coming with you!" I demanded more than asked and he sighed before nodding. I made a quick hand sigh that teleported me to Lady Tsunades office where I cleared the arrangement and my goal to her as I tossed her the scroll and a sly smile crept onto her face like a spider crawls up a wall.

Excited to finally have a lead I decided to follow it no matter the cost so that's what I did, we moved swiftly through the woods not caring for conversation what mattered was the task at hand the only noise was our feet hitting the tree branches as we rushed towards our destination, Suna.

A normal trip takes 3 days to arrive in the hidden sand but with the super athletic team youth was blooming from their eyes in determination and aching legs we arrived in only 11 hours which has to be some sort of record but I have no reason to complain, the faster, the better.
We approached the gate and was welcomed in a hurry with urgent pleas from the people wanting their leader back as soon as possible and Lee being the goof ball he is, promised them all he'd be returned alive, rule number one! Never promise to get something done it's crushing for them if we fail. Three day's Lee three! He could be dead by now don't promise that shit idiot.

We were met by a nervous Temari who informed us Team Kakashi had already arrived, that brought a smile to my lips, the knuckle head ninja is on the job may as well pack up and go home now he would have everything under control with or without us. But I need that information.

It only took a few minutes before we were on the road again, catching up to the fools. An easy task I'm sure with Lee and Gai.

And as predicted it wasn't long before we caught up with Kakashi's team. I hoped this mission wasn't one of complications but not everything goes as planned.
