Kyla pov: 

I lay in bed flicking through a book on the akatsuki, trying to find anything about Itachi when there was a loud bang on the door, I ignored it hearing Fukka-sensei getting up to open the door, I sighed as I heard somebody ask for me. 

"Kyla, it's for you" Sensei yelled and I got up to see Neji and a spiky haired shinobi in a chunin jacket. 

"Sup?" I asked leaning against the door frame looking at them. "Sasuke Uchiha left the village with Orochimaru, Lady Tsunade asked to see you" Neji stated looking at me carefully knowing that he's my brother. I was pissed. How dare he betray our village! I punched the wall next to me breaking it before thanking them and leaving for the hokage building.

"Lady hokage, you requested me?" I stated bowing to her and she half smiled at me before saying "Your brother, Sasuke, has became a rouge ninja, I'm sending a team to go and get him, however, you will not be on this team, I want you to stay in the leaf, we have a ninja shortage thanks to Orochimaru's attack, and sending a team out for you brother isn't making matters better, I need you to run a session at the academy, Iruka-sensei is sick so I need somebody to fill in I know its not your area of expertise but it might take your mind off events and Kyla, I know now isn't the right time but, the elders and myself have decided to promote you to chunin" She explained and I clenched my fists annoyed that I wont be on the recon mission but nodded none the less and accepted the green jacket she held out, I guess I'm baby sitting today. 

I arrived at the academy at 8:30, school starts in 10 minuets I entered the classroom where all the kids were already sat down quietly watching my every movement, creepy.

"Hello class, I'm Kyla Uchiha, you don't need to call me sensei, Kyla is fine, I will be covering for Iruka-sensei today" I stated looking around when one girls hand shot up.

"Sensei, how are you an Uchiha, I thought they'd all died" she exclaimed, even though I'd asked not to be called sensei... 

"Well obviously not all, anyways who's ready to learn about the chakra flow?" I asked and everybody sighed and pulled out massive text books.

"Ew put those away, we're going outside" I stated disgusted they would be taught this from a book when its obviously a practical exercise.

Everybody followed me in an eerie silence before standing in a line outside. "Okay kiddos, chakra comes in many forms but can anybody tell me some of the types, when I pick you I want you to tell me one" I stated before pointing at a boy with black hair and green eye. "Fire" he muttered and I nodded giving him a thumbs up before picking a girl who said "Lightning and wind" I only really wanted one but okay... I then chose somebody else who said "water and earth"

"Very well done, so does anyone know how to test what nature you have?" I asked them while wondering how the recon mission is going. 

The hand of the girl who made the comment about my clan shot up and I nodded in her direction "You put your chakra into chakra paper" she exclaimed with the first emotion I've seen since I got here.

"Very good, so we're going to test you for chakra nature now so I can teach you something useful" I then rummaged through my ninja pouch before finding a scroll that I knew had chakra paper in, I then released the scroll revealing a pad of chakra paper, I gave one to each student and told them to focus their chakra into it, the majority of them turned to ash or dirt, two of them split right down the middle, and six got lightning and 4 got water.

I was going to get them to stand in groups with their chakra nature and teach them all a special jutsu when an anbu popped up at my side. "Sup?" I asked annoyed he's interrupting.

"You're being sent out as a back up team, 3 other members will be coming from the sand and medical from the leaf, medical has been dispatched, you need to go now, I will take over your class, be quick they could be hurt" he stated kinda monotone and I nodded at him before waving a curt goodbye to the children and running off.

I left the village gate following the root to the hidden sound, when I found a large kid on the floor, he was probably from the Akimichi clan base off his size and the logo on his back, the medic team tending to him looked as though they only arrived five minuets ago, I continued on my way with hope the kid will survive, I hurried up worried about Neji and Sasuke, the next battle field was covered in chakra threads spun like a spiders web, Nobody was here that I could sense, that was until I felt Neji's chakra in the far background, I followed it until I found the Hyuga boy leaning against a tree, he was low on chakra and he was severally injured.  I wanted to bring Sasuke back, and I that's what this mission is for, but I'm  not a medic, Neji might die if I leave him.

Sasuke left on his own accord, he obviously doesn't care for me or anybody else in the village, Neji isn't going to suffer the consequences of my dumb ass brother. I picked Neji up, placing him on my back before running as fast as I could to the leaf.  It took me a little longer than it originally did as I'm carrying another body, but he still had a pulse when I reached the hospital, it was weak but it was there.

The nurses took him away from me the moment I entered the building and put me in the waiting room and even though 90% of chairs were empty, I couldn't help but pace back and forth. This cant be the end of Neji's life, he must get through this... We... we have to get married like our clan want, we need to go on more missions, I want to meet his team I don't want Shiori and Nico to go through the pain of losing him, he's our best friend and he has to stay! I will murder every last God in this sinful world if they dare take him from me! Tears were in my eyes but there was no point in wiping them away, because they just come back.

A nurse walked out of his room and I looked at her expecting her to say something about his condition, but she walked straight past me and got another doctor, e saw the fear and sadness on my face and gave me a small smile in attempt to calm me but nothing worked, as their figures disappeared behind the door, I grew in fear, I was terrified for Neji, he has to make it he just has to.

Hours passed and I was still standing anxiously for Neji's status, the rest of the recon team had returned and Akimichi was rushed into the hospital as well as Rock lee, but the others weren't critical, but Sasuke, Sasuke hadn't returned.

The nurse came out with the rest of those inside, granting me permission to go inside, and I didn't waste a second. Neji just lay there. He was asleep, the heart monitor was stable and he looked peaceful, he looked as though he's dead, but I know he's just asleep. I brushed his hair off his face and smiled at him before pressing my lips to his forehead and muttering "please be okay"
