Lucy's P.O.V

It was Thursday afternoon, it's been a good five months since the news of the Fairy tail Guild. I was working overtime at my job, collecting random sources of research for an article about some activity in Clover town. Hana was kind enough once again to look after Luke while I work late out in the office.

I was scrolling through the computer lacrima, checking out some articles and the latest reports about Fiore. That's when something intriguing had caught my eye, my heart almost dropped at the sight of the article's headline.

'Dark Guild Serpent's Wing publicly resurfaced with  an act of terror'

Interested in the story, I click it. The contents are something I would have never expected.

'The illegal Guild known as "Serpent's Wing" was recently spotted in the town of Magnolia. Various members of the Guild made an attack near the Guild known as "Sabertooth" and attacked celestial mage Yukino Aguria. Their motives unknown, yet the community is concerned'

I cover my mouth in shock, this was alarming. 'Poor Yukino, why would Serpent's Wing be after her? And why now? They've had no recent activity besides this...'

Just then Jason barges in, already aware of the news I had just read. "Wow Lucy! One of the most fearsome Dark Guilds has made a comeback so, cool!"

'Right, cool...'

"Do you mind if I do more research on this?" I ask him, fiddling with my fingers, as a celestial mage myself I would like to keep tabs on them. "I can gather more info for an article.." I continue, although it's not the actual reason.

"Of course!" Jason replies enthusiastically. "There's always a good juicy article to come out of drama in the magic community!"

"Thanks so much!" I turn back to my computer right away, I had to figure out what Serpent's Guild was planning...why they were at that mansion back in Taro years ago...and why they're here now. These two incidents have to be connected.

Hours later, by the time the rest of my co workers have left I continue searching. The glare of the computer lacrima is was the only thing lighting the room up, my eyes so focused on the screen in front of me it began to hurt. My goal was to reveal why they had attacked Yukino in the first place, their true motive.

I push back away from my desk for a moment, deciding to take a break. I stretch out and let out a deep stifled yawn.

'It's getting too late...I should head back home and continue this tomorrow.'

I arrive back at my apartment and see Hana asleep on the couch, Luke probably already put to bed. I sigh, I can't believe I got so lost in my work that even Hana began to fall asleep. Usually it's my job to return early enough to tuck Luke in.

I smile seeing her peacefully sleeping, she looked cold and the room was chilly so I pulled a spare blanket that was draped on one of the sofas and use it to warmly cover her up.

"Thank you." I whisper softly, even though she's not awake to hear it.

I carefully tiptoe to my room and glance at my son who's in his crib, sleeping as well. I heave out a sigh. I promised myself once Luke was born I would focus more on him, but it seems I've become more focused on work lately, maybe I should have a small vacation soon and let Hana have a few days off herself.

As I was about to change into some comfier clothes and head to bed, a buzz comes from my phone lacrima. 'It's probably Jason again...'

And I was right, as I pick up I can tell he's got some exciting news for me. "A news outlet revealed more details on the attack with Yukino Aguria!" He practically shouts in my ear.

"Oh what is it?" I ask genuinely intrigued, not only was I on this project, Yukino was an old friend.

"Apparently those Serpent's Wing guys stole her Zodiac keys! Just the rare valuable ones!"

I lightly gasp, quiet enough no one could hear it but me. "Jason I—I cant finish this job. I have to be removed this project, this article..."

Hearing that those goons had stolen her Zodiac keys reminded me I'm also a celestial mage with Zodiac keys, if their motivation was to gather all twelve of them I could be—Luke could be in danger. "It's best I stay away from this."

"I understand, Lucy! I'll get someone else to cover this story."

I have a breath of relief. "Thank you, bye." I hang up and plop on my bed. I really hope it's not the Zodiac keys they're after.

I then hear the small cries of Luke, I must've been talking on the phone too loud, my bad. I walk over to his crib and tickle him a bit which makes him gurgle out a laugh. "Aw I'm sorry baby, we can all go to bed now." I reassure him and gently pat him on the back. After holding him close in my arms a bit, I can tell he falls asleep. I place him back in the comfort of his crib. "Goodnight."

Levy's P.O.V

It was a sunny day in Magnolia, not a single cloud in the bright blue sky. I wonder if was the same for Lucy in Crocus. Mirajane and I were currently taking advantage of the good weather, we were strolling about the streets and passing by shops.

Her and I have gotten closer due to Lucy's secret, we are the only ones who know it so in a way we have to stick together. Our only worry is the Guild getting too suspicious, as we hang around each other and talk about Lucy and her son a lot.

"Oh, that dress would look marvellous on you, Levy." She comments as we pass by a boutique, in the window display was a skimpy red dress with a slit down the side.

"Definitely not!" I retort, knowing she must've made a joke. I get all flustered thinking about myself wearing such a thing, even though I shouldn't.

"Would you wear it on a date with...
Gajeel?" Mira teases making my face heat up even more.

"Where did they come from!" I almost shout, that girl really knows how to push some buttons! I mean, I did overhear Lisanna taking about how Mira is the queen of "shipping", whatever that means...

"I'm just teasing." She giggles. Yet there was a glint of something in her eye, that girl is planning something for sure.

"What about you and Laxus, eh?" I tease back, it was her turn for her to blush, she had a light shade of pink in her cheeks.

"No way." She simply says, crossing her arms. "Not in a thousand years."

"Oh, hey it's Yukino and Sting." I suddenly point out, catching the two of them nearby from the corner of my eye. From the looks of it Yukino looked very upset.

Mirajane and I decided to walk over to them, to see what's wrong.

"Yukino, what happened?" The Strauss asks lovingly, noticing the large tears in the mages eyes. Sting was trying to comfort her.

"Her...keys were stolen. It's all over the news." Sting simply replies, Yukino too caught up in her misery to answer.

I gasp along with Mira. "Who would do such a thing?" Celestial keys are very important to a celestial mage, I know because of Lu.

"Some dumbass bandits." He says. "Stole her Zodiac ones."

At the mention of this she begins relentlessly sobbing, Mira begins to rub her back soothingly. I couldn't help but feel bad for the poor girl, why would random thugs even commit such a crime?

'Lu is a celestial mage, like Yukino. And like Yukino she has Zodiac keys, 9 of them. That makes me worried.'

"Anyway, we should probably go. I don't think Yukino wants to be outside anymore." And with that they leave, the celestial mage weakly waging goodbye as they disappear into the bustling crowds of Magnolia.

"How long as it been since you've heard from Lucy?" Mirajane asks, looking as concerned as I am.

"Since Luke was born...a year and two months." Saying it out loud I realized that was quite a long time, Lucy's even been gone for longer. "I haven't gotten anything from her since then. And the articles she writes for Crocus daily is few and far between."

"I hope she's okay...."

"Me too."

We were both thinking the same thing, and we were both hoping she'd be alright.

'Oh Lucy....please be safe....you're in trouble.'
