{Chapter Eight - Games & Traning}
Since it was still a few hours till night, Mettaton insisted on playing fun games together. Although you weren't quite sure that your definition of 'fun' was the same as his.
Everyone sat down in the living room while trying to think of a game they could play.
"Charades?" "Checkers?" "Monopoly?" "Truth or Dare?" "Twister?" Nobody seemed to agree on any games. You were about to leave and maybe do something else alone when Mettaton snapped his fingers.
"I know what we can do! We can play seven minutes in heaven!" Undyne and Alphys blushed while everyone else looked confused. "Uh, what's that?"
Mettaton smiled and grabbed your wrist, pulling you over to him. "Since you asked darling, you shall go first once I explain the rules!" The game couldn't be that bad, could it? "Er, okay."
Mettaton smiled then started to explain. "The game is basically two people going into a small dark space for seven minutes. They can do whatever they want because no one will be watching them. When seven minutes are up, we open the door and the next pair go in, simple yes?"
You felt your face get hot as you realized that you were going first. "Uh, Mettaton. I don't think I should- WOAH!!" Mettaton picked you up and grabbed Sans' wrist. "Mettaton please put me down!" "No darling! You're playing the game and those are the rules."
Mettaton opened a closet and stuffed you and Sans inside. He closed the door and turned off the lights. You heard the door lock with a click! and footsteps walking away.
The closet was really small, so small that you and Sans had to move around until you both found a spot where you both could breathe. You heard talking in the living room and the beep of a timer. What had you gotten yourself into?
"I can't see a thing!" You felt your eyes get warm and soon they started to glow. Sans made his eye glow too so the small closet was illuminated with blue and gold light.
You looked over at Sans who was slightly blushing. He leaned against a wall and looked at you. "So, uh, what do we do?" You looked around the small closet. "This place is too small to do anything!"
"Yeah, he should of put us in the bigger one upstairs." "Nah that ones full of stuff. This is probably the only empty one in the house." You sighed and leaned against the opposite wall, facing Sans.
You didn't like that the game's name was 'seven minutes in heaven', it sounded...sexual. You didn't really wanna go there, especially in a game, but the minutes seemed like hours and you assumed that Mettaton wouldn't let you or Sans out until something happened, even if the seven minutes were up.
You looked at your watch and started counting down the minutes. Sure enough, when seven minutes had passed, you and Sans were still in the tight closet.
"Mettaton it's been seven minutes let us out!" You heard the tap of heels on the floor as the robot walked towards you. "Not until I get what I want from the both of you!" You were afraid to ask, but you really wanted to get out of the closet, it was getting hard to breathe.
"What do you want?" There was a few seconds of silence then you heard his voice again. "You both know what I want you to do." You heard the robot walk away as you let out a frustrated sigh.
"I swear to god that that robot is gonna-" Sans put a hand over your mouth. He leaned towards you and started to whisper. "I have an idea for us to get out. We gotta do it quick though because it's getting hard to breathe."
Sans told you his plan and you nodded. It was better than having everyone listen to you and Sans making out. You swallowed down your pride as you began to moan.
You heard everyone go quiet outside the closet as you moaned louder. Sans started hitting his fist against the wall, making loud bangs sound out. You hated this part but you took a shaky breath of what air was left in the closet.
You started to moan out Sans' name and struggled for breath. Not much air was left in the closet as you took another shaky breath. You heard the tapping of heels as Mettaton walked over to the closet. The closet door opened and you and Sans burst out, gasping for breath.
"Air! Wonderful glorious air!" You called out, panting on the ground. Sans was laying beside you, gasping for breath as well (just go with it). You looked over to see everyone staring at you both.
Frisk stood up and walked over to you both on the floor. "What did you two do in there?" You let out a weak laugh then started laughing harder. Sans joined in and soon you were both laughing like maniacs.
Once you calmed down, everyone looked at you and Sans with concern. Mettaton walked over and helped you both up off the floor. "Did you two...?" You laughed and shook your head. You looked over at Sans. "You wanna explain?"
He shrugged. "I don't care." You walked over to the couch as Sans explained what happened to Mettaton. You plopped down and watched Mettaton's face.
"You tricked me!" Sans glared at him. "We couldn't breathe you freaking microwave! And you wouldn't let us out!" Frisk was sitting next to you giggling. "That was smart, although you both sounded really convincing."
You smiled and ruffled their hair. "This house is PG remember?" Sans sat down next to you and looked over at Mettaton. "Who's next?"
*Time Skip, brought to you by lack of air*
You and Sans left the house while everyone else played the game. You both started walking down the street when Sans pulled you over behind a tree.
"You wanna practice in the clearing?" You had almost forgotten about asking Sans to help with you power. "Sure. Could I...?" "Go ahead."
You grabbed Sans' hand and concentrated. Your body grew warm and in a flash of light, you and Sans were in the clearing. You let go of his hand and turned towards him.
"Where do we start?" Sans thought for a second then smiled. "Why not controlling your eye glow. We don't need you getting caught with it at the wrong time."
You nodded and soon your training began. Sans showed you how keep your eyes from glowing and soon you got the hang of it. While he was showing you how to keep it that way for a period of time, you felt someone staring at you.
You turned around but couldn't see anyone. Strange. You still got the feeling that you and Sans weren't alone.
"Uh (Y/n)? You there?" You turned back towards Sans. "Uh sorry, I thought I...heard a deer." You didn't want him worrying. It was probably nothing anyways.
"Oh okay, want to test out how well you can hide the glow?" You nodded. "Okay then." Sans walked closer to you and leaned towards your face. You started to blush and felt your eyes heating. You held it back like Sans showed you. You were about to congratulate yourself when Sans kissed you and your eyes blazed.
Sans noticed that you had failed and pulled away. "I'm sorry...it's harder when it's a real-" "Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it. In the meantime, how about we see the sword? Maybe I can help you with that."
You summoned your sword and stared at the glowing blade. "Oh uh, there's something etched on the blade and I couldn't figure out what it meant, do you?" You handed Sans the blade and he read the etched words.
"auream flos. That means gold flower in Latin." He handed back you sword. "It does? Cool. I guess that explains the flowers." You made the sword disappear and a spear was now in your hands.
"You can make other weapons appear? Huh." Sans looked at the spear and found the same etched message. "It says auream flos on this too." "Maybe it's on all of them."
You stepped back and held up the spear. You aimed at a tree and threw the spear with all your might. The spear sailed through the air and landed right where you had wanted it to go.
"Did you see that! That was awesome!" You smiled and ran over to the tree. Unfortunately, it was too high for you to reach. You thought of something and stared at the spear, feeling heat in your hands.
The spear was pulled out of the tree by itself and shot down to your hand. You shrieked and ran out of the way as the spear embedded itself into the ground where you had been standing.
Sans ran over to you and stared at the spear. "Well that was different." Your hands were still hot and the spear pulled itself out of the ground. "Oh no." You started to run as the spear chased after you.
"SANS HELP ME!!" "I'm trying!" Blue haze surrounded the spear but it didn't seem to effect it. Sans threw bones at it which made the spear break in two and fall to the ground.
You stopped running and stared at the broken spear. "Thanks. I need to learn how to control that too." "Heh, yeah. See if you can summon it back."
You thought of the spear and the broken one of the ground disappeared and reappeared in your hand, fixed.
"Woah. Didn't know I could do that." Once again, you felt the feeling that you were being watched. You ignored it and made the sword appear in your hands again.
Sans walked up to you and made a few bones appear. "Okay, what were gonna do now is see how well you can block and dodge attacks. Ready?" You nodded and held the sword in front of you. "Okay...go."
Bones flew at you as your eyes blazed and adrenaline pulse through you. You blocked a few bones with ease and dodged the rest. The way you did it made it feel as if you had been doing it for years.
"Good, these next few will be faster and harder, got it?" "Yep." "Okay then...go." Bones appeared in a full circle around you just like when you first fell down and Flowey attacked you. You ducked down as the bones flew towards you. You backed up as they shot at you at a fast speed.
You used your blade to block most of them and dodged the few that you had missed. One skimmed your arm you started to bleed. Sans rushed over to help but you tore off a piece of your shirt.
"I'm fine. Don't worry about me. It's just a scratch." You tied to cloth around your arm and faced Sans. "Well, if you wanna keep going you can. This next attack is called a Gaster blaster. Let's seen how well you do with this."
He snapped his fingers and a giant animal skull appeared above his head. It opened its mouth and shot a blue light at you. You easily dodged it but the light chased after you. Bones appeared and flew at you while you kept running away from the light.
You blocked the bone attacks and almost forgot about the Gaster blaster. "(Y/n) behind you!" You turned around to see the skull open its mouth to shoot at you. You didn't have time to dodge so you held up your sword in defense. The skull disappeared when Sans snapped his fingers.
"You're good with the sword but you almost got blasted to bits." You wiped away the sweat from your forehead. "Yeah, I know, I'll try harder next time."
Sans smiled at you and snapped his fingers again, making all the bones on the ground disappear. "Let's go home, it's getting late." You hadn't noticed since your eyes were glowing but when you looked up you could see stars.
Sans grabbed your hands and in a flash of light, you were in the backyard behind the trees. "We can train again in a few days, I do believe we are going camping soon?" You smiled. "Oh yeah! I nearly forgot! We gotta tell Toriel!" "We can tell her tomorrow, I'm going to bed. 'Night."
Sans walked up to the house and went inside. You weren't tired yet so you decided to walk around the neighborhood a bit. You walked over and opened the gate, slipping through and walking to the sidewalk.
Most of the lights weren't on so you were able to see the stars. They looked so pretty tonight, twinkling in the night sky. You smiled to yourself and looked forward, continuing to walk.
You heard a noise and stopped. It sounded like something heavy going slowly over gravel. You looked behind you to see a black car coming down the street behind you slowly. You started to walk forward again, a little bit faster. The car continued to follow and sped up when you started to run.
You ran through lawns and hopped a fence. The car stopped and a few people climbed out, chasing after you. They were humans. You sprinted into the small patch of woods behind the neighborhood and dashed through the trees. The humans followed and were gaining speed.
You panicked when one of them reached for your arm. Your eyes blazed and your whole body grew hot. You teleported away and appeared in your bedroom, five feet above your bed.
You fell into your bed and bolted up, looking frantically around you room. You were safe. You fell limp onto your bed and let of a sigh of relief. You felt a presence next to you and looked over to see Chara sitting on your bed.
They looked at you with a worried face. "Who were those people?" You sat up and faced them. "I don't know. I think there were four of them. Why were they chasing me?" "I don't know."
A thought crossed your mind. Could they be...no, they couldn't. You pushed the thought away and looked at the time.
"It's getting pretty late and I'm safe in here. I'm gonna go to sleep." Chara disappeared and you felt their presence enter your head.
You quickly changed and turned off the lights, crawling into bed.
You didn't think you'd get much sleep but surprisingly you were exhausted. Busy day I guess. You'd have to find out who those humans were. You'll worry about that later. You closed your eyes and let yourself fall asleep.
