4. Help
"Want to tell me what's wrong?" Robbie asked as they sat on the ground at the graveyard. He had gotten Mabel's text about needing to talk about something. He knew something was up but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
Mabel sighed, curling into Robbie's side, "Dipper keeps ignoring me, and breaking promises..."
"It sounds like it's more than just that..." Robbie said softly, carefully and slowly, and hesitately putting his arm around Mabel waist. He wanted to punch Dipper for ignoring Mabel, how could anyone ignore Mabel?!
She sighed, biting her lip, Robbie's arm giving her some comfort, "Last summer... The reason we arrived so late was because... My mom, she got really sick and had passed away... My dad just kind of lost it, so Stan said this summer we were going to stay here, till we graduate high school... Dipper and I, we made a promise to stick by each others side, since our mom passed, we would always be there for each other no matter what... But now... He is ignoring because he has a crush..." Mabel choked out, holding tightly onto Robbie and he just held her back, rocking her back and forth.
They stayed silent just holding each other, while Mabel let everything out and Robbie held her, for a little over an hour. Mabel slowly pulled away, forcing Robbie to bite his bottom lip, "I'm sorry..."
"Sorry? Mabel you have nothing to be sorry for, none of this is your fault!" Robbie pressed.
She giggled slightly, "I meant for making your jacket all wet with my tears."
"Oh," He blushed lightly, feeling stupid, "It's fine, need to wash it anyway." He internally yelled at himself for being an idiot and she probably thought he didn't wash his clothes and be disgusted and leave!
But all his insecurities melted away when Mabel started to giggle, "Happy I could help." After that they just stayed their, laying down, trapped in their own minds while in content with each other's company.

The next few day's rolled around with Mabel avoiding Dipper and sneaking off to hang out with Robbie. Except today they couldn't hang out, because Mabel and Dipper both had shifts at Mystery Shack. Mabel didn't want to be there with Dipper at all while Dipper just wanted to fix what he screwed up but his head was so clouded that he didn't know what he did to make her this mad.
While that went down at the Mystery Shack, Robbie made his way down to Wendy's house. He had to hurry though because she was going to be leaving to the Mystery Shack, and he couldn't be seen down there while Dipper and Stan were down there as well. When he arrived, his palms were sweaty, his heart pounding loudly. He gathered as much courage as he could before, knocking on the door.
It opened showing a surprised Wendy, "Robbie? What are you doing here? I can't hang out today, I'm heading down to the Mystery Shack."
He tried to speak, but he could feel his lungs tightening. It was now or never, "WendyIneedyourhelp!" He yelled out, as quickly as possible.
Wendy, raised an eye brow before sighing and letting him inside, "Okay Robbie, this time slow down when you speak."
They sat down, as he breathed lightly, "I need your help, with Ma- a girl..." His cheeks went pink as his heart hammered away in his chest.
"What kind of help do you need, try being more specific Robbie." Wendy glanced at the clock on the wall before looking back at Robbie.
He sighed, "I want to ask her out on a date but, I'm too nervous... I like her, no I love her more than anything. I don't want to screw anything up between us but I feel like if I don't ask her out, I never will and she'll move on with her life and forget about me..."
"I don't think I've ever seen you act like this with a girl... Do you really love her?" Wendy asked, watching him carefully.
Robbie didn't even need to think twice, "More than life itself..."
"Then of course, I'd love to help you out, Robbie."
