NICOLE POV

I turned towards the parking lot of Steve club.

A neon light with the word PENGUIN CAR PARK is hanged at the top of the gate.

I pass through the gate flashing my car park permit to the guard stationed at the gate.

I parked my my black BMW car, ensuring it properly locked before stepping into the earth hell.

I walked into the building that is blasting with pop music, people grinding their sweaty body against eachother. Waiters moving around serving drink to those gathered in the ping pong section, while wild drunken individuals crowding the poor bar tender at the bar.  Bouncers stationed in every conner of the club to wand off disturbance.

I walk towards the stair to get to Steve's office. Sound of people making out on the stairs I decides to ignore it, as I move toward Steve office, moans from rooms before his,  fill the hallway.

"You really need to put sound proof in all the rooms not just your office".  I said to Steve stepping into his office as all sounds dies off.

His office is well tech, a huge tv sat on the wall facing him with all the footage of what is going on around the club. Different bottons adores his wall, each bottons with different fuctions.

He has his own game station in his office.

"Yoo man, no one is complaing about that, moreover they all seem to like it that way, you know telling other customers they are having a good time". He said in a matter of fact tone as he stands up to give me a brotherly hug. We hug as we both pat each others back. I laughed at his sarcastic reply.

"Man so what the news"?  He asked me, as he went to his own personal bar to pour us a drink.

"I don't know, everything is getting fucked up now" I said to him as I take the drink from him with a nod of my head as appreciation.

"What is getting fucked up, you just have to explain it to Darcy" Steve said to me.

"Moreover you will have free sex with Phoebe  you don't have to work hard to get it".  If look can kill, he will be dead by now. I really dont blame him since that his personality.

"What,  don't look at me that way, don't you want free sex".  I look at he with an hit of disgust.

"That's  why your previous wife left you".  I said to him, well it not actually his fault, infact it is his ex wife that made him the way he is now.

"And I'm so grateful she left me" Steve said laughing.

"Nicole drink away your sorrows, you've got only one life, your problem will take care of it self. If you are fated to be with Darcy you will be with her". Steve said to me has he sips his drink.

"Don't tell me you believe fate Steve". I asked him.

"Why won't I, afterall I and Jane aren't fated for each, that why it didn't work out".  No sound is made after this statement, I know he is hurt about the way his marriage broke off.

STEVE POV

When I received a call from Nicole, I knew he called for one of his girls problem. I met Nicole five years ago when I was still working as a bartender, before I started my own club.

I was on night shift when he entered the bar that fateful night, blabbing about one Dan been lucky to be in relationship with one Darcy. He kept filling his cup tell me his life story till he was wasted. I remembered vividly that he had to sleep at my house, because he could not utter a complete word without speaking gibberish.

Since that day we became close he comes to the bar to have drinks and when Im not working, we stay at his apartment to do guys stuff like playing video games, cards or any game our hands can find.

I've met Darcy times without number, I can say we are very good friend, I've also met with Dan before his dismise.

I couldn't attend the burial ceremony. I was under pressure at that time, trying to save my marriage and keep the woman I love from leaving me. it's all over now, at first it wasn't easy.

I loved Jane, I still do but I already let her go if that's what she wants.

Since we got married four years ago we both wanted kid, but since it not fort coming I still loved her, until I found out she has been on pill stopping her from getting pregnant, I forgave her, 'she might not be ready for that' I thought so in my head, until the worse happened I found her have sex with another dude on our bed, I let that go, I forgave because I loved her.

I found out later on that she was pregnant for dude, I was pissed off at first but I decide to take the child has mine.

Everything was going fine until she brought a divorce papers to me in which her  part was already signed, I was shock. I asked her why she wants to do this her reply was she doesn't love me right from the start of the relationship,  that she wants to move on with the father of her baby.

I tried my best to get her to stay with me but her mind was already made up, so why should I stop her happiness. I signed the divorce papers and let her go.

Since the day I let her go I became a changed person I shut all doors to love and became the man I am today,  having my own club not just one but numerous across the country. i Havnt heard from Jane since we parted, I'm tempted to search for her but I resisted it.

Right now I have hot for a lady who doesn't know I like her. Our conversation hasn't been more than a nod of the head, a hello, goodbye. I don't need to tell her now I don't think she is ready for me she still needs time to heal from her heart break. I'm willing to wait till she is ready to move on.

''What's the way forward Steve?'' I turn to face Nicole, taking a sip from my drink.

''Way forward! You're asking me for way forward". I said standing from my seat.

" you blew it man, who the hell introduce another lady to the lady he confessed his feeling to. You already introduce Phoebe as your fiance to Darcy, you can't just go ahead and admit you left her for another woman not after you told her you loved her''.  Pointing my glass of drink to him emphasizing my point.

''Shit! Shit! Shit!!! " Nicole said pulling his already scattered hair.

"I ruined everything Steve, I don't even think I can face her,  maybe I shouldn't have told her". He said pulling his hand over his face and pinching the bridge of his nose.

"I was trying to prevent this from happening ".

"Prevent what huh?" I asked him sipping from my drink.

"Prevent my friendship with Darcy to be ruin, know I've said it and ruined everything, every possibility of been with her, he said this on the verge of tears, love is crazy, walking towards him I pulled him In my embrace, hitting his back not so hard to hurt him.

"It's okay man, we will figure it out" I said to him. He pushed to get away from my embrace.

"You can't treat me like a kid". He said his voice thicken from been crying, he removed tissues from the tissue box on my table and blow out the mucus from his nose, then throws it into the basket beside my desk.

"A kid,  I'm just doing my loyal duty as your friend, if hugging  you and patting you stops you from crying, then I have no problem treating you as a child".

"I not in the mood for any of your jokes, just tell me what to do?"

"Okay first you have to call Darcy and explain things to her" he tries to cut in but I lifted a finger to shut him.

"You will call her when you're fit to do so and when she is also fit to receive your call. Then you will organize a getaway for the both of you, just tag it as besties tour, then find ways for her to fall in love back with you. And when you both come back you can get married and have your own little Nicole and little Darcy, uh how does that sound" I said wriggling my eyebrows, he scowled at me while trying not to smile at the idea of marrying Darcy.

"That's if she agrees moreover you know Phoebe has to follow me everywhere I go" he said, my face lit in mischief as I said;

"She could come with you guys, infact why don't we all go for the tour, you, me, Darcy, Sarah and Phoebe of course" I said looking at Nicole trying to see if he got my point.

"Oh". He said "yeah"I replied him.
