"Tanu!"

"Yeah coming, just a minute"

"It's already been 5 minutes, how long's your one minute?", sighed Aman shaking his head unbelievably having a look at his watch tired of waiting outside the door, about to knock on the door again just when Tanu opened the door making him release an euphoric sigh of relief.

"Oh god, FINAAALLLLYYY", Tanu rolled her eyes ignoring him locking the door, while he just stood beside smiling when his eyes fell on her dress, making him blink baffled having a look at Tanu questioning

"You know we are just going to a park right?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Because it doesn't seem like, not at least the way you have dressed up", told Aman scanning her from top to bottom, who was dressed up in a high neck black tshirt and an ankle length red skirt matching with her white shoes while her dollar symbol pendant hung on her neck.

"You wanted me to wear a hoodie like you?", Her reply having Aman looking down at his hoodie with a frowning look with words plastered 'Why's everyone behind my hoodie?', having got the same comment twice now before looking up saying

"What's wrong in wearing a hoodie?"

"The wrong is when u wear only a hoodie", Tanu shook her head in disbelief rolling her eyes walking ahead leaving Aman looking at his pants wondering

But I'm wearing pants too!

"Now don't stand there wondering you are wearing pants too", muttered Tanu facepalming turning to look behind at him who gazed at her in shock with expressions 'How did you know?' before shrugging it off from his face real quick, shaking his head in denial gazing elsewhere moving ahead crossing past her

"What makes you think I was thinking that huh?"

"Did I have to think?", laughed Tanu walking behind him while he just walked ahead muttering a 'Yeah, very funny', until a thought crept in, in his mind making him slow down looking at Tanu's dress as they walked

"Wait, from where did you get this dress?"

"Take a guess"

"Kanishka?"

"Yes!", Answered she nodding her head in approval, quickly adding further noticing Aman's dry look hearing it, interrupting before he could open his mouth to speak

"Now before you give me a lecture for no reason at all, let me tell you that I tried telling her I don't need it, but she forced me to keep it saying that it would look better on me than her"

Sighing listening to her words, Aman watched her who shrugged her shoulders at him making him smile gazing down when he heard her speak

"You know, sometimes I see you in her!"

The words leaving an impact on Aman's heart as he looked up at her hearing her. A smile of surprise on his face while his eyes demanded an explanation, obliging to which she smiled saying

"I can't deny her for anything, for anything she gets me, for anything she does for me. I just can't deny because I see that love in her eyes, a feeling that she does everything for me not out of pity or any such feeling, but just out of love, love for me. Just like you"

A content feeling spread Aman's  heart and his face making him shut close his lips thin lining a smile, before gazing away blinking away the tear flickering in his eyelids. Pulling a deep breathe, calming down himself he looked back at her who had her eyes fixed at him saying

"She loves you. She loves you a lot, I know. She has rights to do anything for you, and you don't have to explain it to me. I'm just stupid at times, nevermind", Aman shook his head gazing away when Tanu held his hand close nearing him leaning her head on his shoulder looking up at him telling

"No, you're not stupid. You're my brother, you're my everything, and you have all the rights to ask me anything. And anyway I love saying everything to you so yeah nevermind", grinned she cheekily gazing up at him making him look at her from the corner of his eyes controlling the grin spreading on his face, speaking with an annoyed sigh

"Okay, okay, now don't lean on me, you're getting fat, my shoulder's literally paining!"

Groaned he dramatically moving his hand on his shoulder making her pull away her head giving him an 'What an absolute jerk' kinda look punching him on his forearms before leaning again her head on his shoulder with a grin having him chuckling at her silently.

"Is she, who I think she is?", Asked Aman as he noticed a girl walking towards them as they entered the park looking at Tanu who pulled her lips close to a broad line of smile nodding, blinking her eyes teasingly wiggling her eyebrows at him making him eye her narrowed when he heard

"Heeeeyyyylllloooooooo"

A chuckle escaping Aman's lips hearing the voice making him turning to his front instantly to find Benny standing right in front smiling at them next to whom was stood Kanishka who was taken for an instant hug by Tanu as the two squealed at one another

"How r u?"

Before the two could answer to one another or speak a word, intervened Aman shaking his head having a roll of his eyes

"Met just before two days. But still HOWWW AAAAREE YOUUUUUU!", imitated Aman their girly accent making Benny chuckle while the two looked at him with a look of disgust saying in an union

"Mind your business!"

"Youu aaal chooo puuunnnyy", muttered Benny laughing making Aman bend down to his height chuckling, grabbing hold of his puffed cheeks pulling it saying

"I'm choo punnnyyyy huh?"

Jerking Aman's hand off his cheeks, frowned he moving his hands on it, stuttering

"Punnyyy nai punnnyyyyy", his correction of 'funny' only making it funnier for Aman who chuckled again shaking his head, gazing down having a proper look at him smiling ruffling his hair just when he heard Kanishka

"Stop irritating him, you monkey"

"Mind your business", replied Aman repeating her words from earlier smirking at her, who raise her eyebrows staring him, while Tanu sighed gazing up closing her eyes speaking to herself "Oh they began already", shaking her head moving near Benny telling

"Shall we go play?"

"Chuureee Thanu di letch goo", stuttered Benny making Tanu laugh feathering a kiss on his cheeks, holding his hand running off to the kids area while the two stood clueless, staring at one another when Kanishka replied

"What do you mean mind your business? He's my business!!"

"But at this moment, he's mine"

"He's not"

"He is, right Benny?", Turned Aman to his side only to get surprised not finding him there and so did Kanishka as she turned to complain to Tanu who wasn't there either, making the two to look at one another and then turn their heads right to find them playing with the other group of kids having them frowning.

Turning to look back at one another, the two exchanged looks of 'we have done a "we" again', smiling a bit before Aman commented

"It's your fault again"

"Yeah, it is yours again", replied she making Aman give her a 'Did you even hear me?' kinda look but before the words could even escape from his mouth asked she

"Okay then tell me what you wanted to speak to me?"

"WHAT?", Aman's eyes wide as he now looked at her in surprise, who answered

"Yeah, Tanu told me you wanted to speak to me, that's why I came here"

Her words having Aman turning his attention to Tanu narrowing his eyes gritting his jaws together cursing her mentally while she ran around the kids playing, just when he heard her speak again

"So what is it that you wanted to speak to me?"

"I actually did—n't", the words could not make it out of his lips, as he noticed a smile on her face, looking at him intrigued, having him gulping down the rest of his words not wanting to take her smile away, speaking

"I actually did call you to speak, but shall we take a seat first?"

"Sure", Responded she and the two walked silently to the bench just right ahead taking seat. As she looked around watching Tanu and Benny play, Aman gazed down caught up with a battle with his own thoughts as his mind repeated over his own words to him

Get all your doubts cleared. You don't wanna regret later, or do you?

"Can you believe tomorrow is farewell?"

The words pulling him out of his thoughts, having him looking at her without saying a word whereas she continued speaking

"So many good memories from this one year, so many unexpected things. Wonder when time went away"

"That's why I suggest wearing a watch", answered Aman holding back his laughter watching her smile fade away upon hearing him, making her turn to him with eyes narrowed and teeth gritting

"You always have to say something stupid to spoil the moment, don't you?", The laughter which was being held captive now escaped hearing her as she punched him on his arm saying it, making him laugh hard at her expressions.

Her eyes fixed on him watching him laugh, something about which skipped her heartbeats a little as her angry look now melted away, turning into a small content smile lingering on her lips as she gazed away watching straight speaking after a moment as Aman stopped laughing

"Our friendship is one of the most unexpected things that happened this year. Never thought I would be friends with an absolute idiot like you before", a light chuckle on her lips as she rolled her eyes saying the last words, bringing a smile on Aman's face who controlled his grin looking at her from the corner of his eyes before gazing down asking

"Do you regret it?"

A smile plastered on her face as she shifted her gaze to him after hearing him, taking a moment to look at his face admiring him as he gazed down, curling her lips to a broad grin keeping a hold on which, she murmured in soft whispers

"Every moment!"

His eyes which were gazing down as he rubbed his palms against one another waiting for her answer not looking at her, now finally raised up meeting her eyes which were shining back at him as she smiled watching him making him sigh a light chuckle keeping the eye contact intact, whispering back

"As expected!"

A chuckle escaping her lips hearing him, making her gaze down rolling her lips within before asking looking back into his eyes

"And you?"

"Each and every moment!", Answered he and the two chuckled sharing the same look and expressions grinning at one another.

Ironical much, isn't it? How the words which were supposed to be making the two sad and frown, was what making the two happy and grin, as their eyes betrayed their words, conveying a completely different story than being told.

"Didi cheee thicchh whath I goth", stuttered Benny from afar causing the two's sweet little trance to come to an end, making them to avert their gazes fixing it on Benny who came running hiding something in his closed fist

"What is it that you got huh?", Asked Kanishka making Benny smile who opened his hand showing them a pendant having two love birds with small tags of "A" and "K" beside it.

"Loovveee billlldddsss, A foll Aman bhaiya, K foll Kanichka didi!!", Squealed Benny in delight grinning at the two who just watched him shocked with eyes wide unsure how to react when Benny placed the pendant piece on Kanishka's palm, saying

"Don't peeel chaaiii, take ith"

Before Kanishka could object or deny, Benny was already off jumping all his way back to Tanu who stood afar awaiting him, taking him for a hug as he returned to her, none of which went unnoticed from Aman's eyes but that moment he was too captured to think anything else.

His eyes remaining on Kanishka, following every small change in her facial expressions closely, as she rotated all around

held the pendant gently in her palms with eyes everywhere but at nothing in particular, licking her lips trying to hold back her smile, which was evident from her eyes, the sight of which brought an unknown smile on his own.

His lips stretching to form a thin line of smile which was met with hers when she turned lifting her eyes slowly to look into his, having them exchanging a shy smile looking at one another gazing away without saying a word, just when the pendant slipped out of Kanishka's hand falling down being too captured.

"I'll pick up", said the two in an union bending their heads approaching towards it simultaneously, causing them bumping their heads on each other's, having them gazing sideways to apologize immediately, only to go voiceless meeting one another's eyes with their faces just up close, causing them to hold the position ceasing each movement but just their eyes which searched the other for feelings they didn't know existed their own within.

"I'll pick up" said Aman after a while smiling a little at her who nodded, just when her eyes fell on her locket stuck to his hoodie having her stopping him moving her face towards his while he looked to bend down

"Aman, my lock——", the words remained stuck in her throat not being able to escape out of her lips which went numb striking on Aman's own, as he turned his head to look up at her the exact moment spotting her stuck locket, leaving the two gazing dumbfounded.

Their eyes wide as their dry lips rested motionlessly over one another's, courage less to even pull back or press an ounce more than it already was.

The heart full of absolute chaos, as the feeling of even touching one another's lips wreaked havocs inside them, having their eyes gazing void of emotions before shutting itself automatically involuntary to their own minds which was too blank at that moment to think, going close for a small moment, finding a peace amongst the chaos.

The fawning hot sighs on their cold skin sending chills down their spine, shivering their insides jerking them of their trance which felt longer than it actually was, having Aman pulling himself apart in no moment, undoing her stuck locket from his hoodie's badge, running his eyes all around trying to gain control of his panicking self.

His breathing uneven as he felt too nervous to even look at her face from the corner of his eyes, having him looking straight just wanting to hide himself from her when an idea struck his mind, making him bend himself quick squatting down to pick up the pendant from the ground, taking a moment for himself in the process.

And while he tried calming down his pacing heartbeats, Kanishka on the other hand squeezed her eyes closed like her life depended upon it, feeling her heart pounding absolutely crazy seeming as if it would blast off any second of over-speeding.

Her mind still processing what just happened, parting her benumbed lips slightly only to have it falling close without any real movement still feeling the tender touch of his lips on her own, having her cheeks turning rosy red at the thought of the kiss.

A shy smile escaping out of her lips while her eyes twinkled running all around stealing some glances of him before shifting down her eyes immediately controlling the surge of emotions rushing inside her body, rubbing her palms on one another biting on her inner cheeks turning to look sidewise as Aman pulled himself back up to the bench seating at a distance beside her not saying a word.

An awkward silence enveloped the surrounding, as the two kept gazing straight not sparing a look or a word to one another, nervously licking their lips, before finally sucking in a sharp breathe of courage, letting out a sigh speaking out the words they held within

"I'm sorry.."

The words coming in absolute harmony with one another having them lifting their gazes to look at each other amazed, scanning one another's face for elements of anger but rather finding a shy smile hidden behind the captive shiny eyes, made the two smile in relief.

An unknown feeling of contentment spread throughout their faces, making them both nod in mutual understanding, before shifting their gazes back to themselves.

The silence in the surrounding was suddenly strangefully peaceful to their hearts, having them grinning mentally. While Kanishka looked all around spinning her eyes smiling at everything her eyes spotted, Aman just kept his gaze fixed at the pendant in his hand, moving his thumb over the tags of their letters, smiling at it wide before shifting his gaze to Kanishka muttering

"You keep it", his hand streching towards her showing her the pendant grabbing her attention to him, who watched between him and the pendant smiling at him with a look 'Shall I?', to which he responded with a blink of his eye making her smile taking it from his hands on to herd looking at it for a while before raising her eyes up to look at him telling

"Whoever's this is, they must be really cute, don't you think?"

"Yeah, I might just as well know one such A and K", commented Aman with a light smirk, making her look at him blinking her eyes for a moment noticing the look on his face, just when her eyes went wide and a grin spread on her lips as she questioned

"Are you thinking, what I'm thinking you are?", A grin escaping Aman's lips as he heard her having him looking at her face nodding, blinking his eyes in approval making her squeal in joy taking him for a quick embrace wrapping her hands around his neck speaking delighted

"I can't believe you also ship them together, I'm so happy you do", A bright smile on her face as she pulled herself back muttering with a grin, having him eyeing her in wonder who didn't even realize she just hugged him, making him smile while she continued to say the rest of her words with a broad grin

"I always wondered whether you felt the same about them"

Her eyes blinking at him happy having hiw own blinking in awe, as he smiled gazing down heaving a sigh answering

"And here I wondered whether you did"

"I always did. I love them. They are just made for each other", said she beaming at Aman who lifted his eyes looking into hers grinning with his lips up close, looking in her eyes for a complete second, muttering with a faint nod

"They are"

Their words were meant for Karan and Aditi, but their eyes conveyed an opposite picture, being stock-still, not ready to give up on one another, holding each other's gazes firmly, something about which appealed to Aman's heart releasing the voices again in his mind

The thoughts seeing him closing his eyes breaking the eye contact, bending down his head silencing the voices playing over and over again in his mind keeping his gaze lowered, calming down himself before opening his eyes transferring it back to her calling out her name

"Kanishka"

His voice merely whispers as he watched her making her nod awaiting him to speak who licked his lips, gazing all around before fixing it to his shoes saying the words after a great struggle

"Have I ever hurt you before?"

"Yeah, many times!", Answered Kanishka instantly having Aman looking up at her blinking his eyes in shock having not expected an answer as such, making him question with eyes narrowed to stilts

"Whaaattttt?"

"Yeah, it's a pretty long list. But if you wanna know, then let me start from the latest- Yesterday night!"

Yesterdayyyy nightttt??

Repeated Aman mentally, perplexed passing her a curious wide eyed look, just when he heard her speak

"Yesterday night you didn't reply to my good night message, I was hurt", her response having Aman rolling his eyes all around in disbelief, turning his head in the opposite direction letting out an unbelievable sigh, before turning to look at her with jaws grinding passing her an 'I regret asking you this' look, ignoring all of which she continued to recall speaking next

"Also the other day you took the lolipop from my bag without my permission and ate it, I felt hurt. Then, you even called my favourite pink t-shirt, bullshit, that was very mean I hate you for that, I was terribly hurt and——"

"Enough, that would be enough, thank you", muttered Aman trying his best to maintain a smile on his face saying it, hiding his gritting teeth behind his lips shut tight holding back his frustration, before shifting his gaze down shaking his head in disbelief

Stupid, stupid, extremely stupid. What did I even expect?

A chuckle escaped Kanishka's lips reading his facial expressions, making her roll her lips within biting on it, enjoying his expressions for a moment having a good laugh mentally, before answering with a tight light smile gazing down

"But, if I have to be honest, then none of this really hurted me, but just one"

"And which ONE exactly was it?", Asked Aman turning to raise his eyebrows at her who smiled back in return smiling at him

"It was when you hurted yourself because of me", the words catching Aman off-guard having him looking into her eyes void of any emotion while she looked back into his innocently having his heart skipping beats at her look making him gaze elsewhere murmuring

"I've never done that"

"Lie. You've done it twice. First, when I hurted you in the classroom, and you in return hurted yourself breaking open the school's glass window to pieces. And second, in the trip, when you fought with those boys just because they didn't speak well to me"

"Both the times, it was not because of you, but because of my own anger issues. And you know that", answered Aman looking up at her who replied with a smile

"Alright, just say it was for that. But you were still hurt right? That's what hurted me"

Voiceless, was how Aman felt, as the words failed to make it out of his lips despite his trials, having him gazing down not lifting his eyes from the floor unaware how to look at her, who followed his expressions close for a while, before finally moving herself closer towards him holding his palm gently in hers saying

"It hurts to see you hurt yourself be it for any reason. So can you stop hurting yourself, because I'm getting hurt?"

The words fluttering his heart inside urging him to let out his feelings, but his mind opposed having him closing his eyes to pull back his thoughts closer not wanting to promise something he couldn't keep, just when he felt a light squeeze on to his palm requesting him to speak making him open his eyes meeting her hopeful gaze while she muttered in a soft tone

"Please?", His eyes blinking itself in approval voluntarily at the sight of her upbeat smile, making him nod ignoring the calls of his inner voices placing his palm gently over hers whispering

"I'll try my best"

"I know, you will", responded she placing her other palm on top of his own, with a grin before pulling her hands back pointing her finger at him getting reminded telling

"Also try not to steal from my bag again, and to reply to my messages, and also never comment on my dress especially not pink dress, alright?"

Aman's eyes narrowed hearing her, causing him to gaze elsewhere letting out an unbelievable sigh shaking his head, answering

"I'll not try my best"

"Monkey!", punched she on his forearm making him laugh at her frowning reaction, before turning to look straight when his eyes spotted Tanu speaking with somebody turning his eyes small while his smile went fading away as he questioned to Kanishka baffled

"Is that a guy with Tanu?"

"Doesn't seem like a girl to me", Responded Kanishka having a look at the two, earning a sullen gaze from Aman who shook his head in disbelief having a quick raise of his eyebrows at her before getting up moving straight towards Tanu, leaving her shrugging her shoulders behind stretching arms with a look plastered on her face 'What did I say wrong?'.

"Tanu?", called out Aman nearing her but his eyes remained fixed at the guy stood in front of her, staring at him while he smiled in return at him, ignoring which looked Aman at Tanu in question, who answered with a smile

"Bhaiya, this is Sam, my new friend"

"Oh, HELLO Sam!", Stretched Aman his hand forward for a handshake with a tone as if to be challenging him for a fight and not just a handshake, making Sam think for a second before quickly completing the handshake saying a 'Hello' with a smile which was returned with a rather sarcastic one as Aman held his hand tight in his grip saying

"I'm Aman, HER BROTHER"

"Nice to meet you", muttered Sam playing a smile wanting to pull away his hand but Aman looked in no mood continuing to stare, making him look at Tanu for help who encircled her hands quick around Aman's other arm making him turn his head towards her, when she signalled him to leave his hand from her eyes tight zipping a smile murmuring slowly

"Bhaiya?"

"Oh, my bad!", Muttered Aman leaving his hand immediately, flashing a not so genuine smile at him who looked down before having a quick look at his watch saying

"Oh damn, I gotta run"

"Run fast!", replied Aman in a sweet tone, rather an over sweet one, earning a glare from Tanu making him clarify quick

"I mean he seems to be getting late, Right Sam?"

"Yeah, actually I'm. I'll meet you next week", replied he having a look at Tanu smiling at her who flashed him a smile blinking her eyes in approval but before she could open her mouth to respond, replied Aman

"Sure, I'll be looking forward to meeting you again Sam"

"Me too", murmured Sam flashing a smile at Aman bidding quick adieu, running out of the park almost in a flash, leaving Aman shaking his head sighing, when he heard Tanu's angry voice

"BHAIYAAAA! What were you doing?", Her eyes staring at Aman having him raising his shoulders innocently, answering

"What did I do? I just said him hello"

"You scared him!"

"Oh, did I? I didn't mean to", Answered he with innocent eyes making Tanu narrow her own at him knowing well his look facepalming, just when questioned Kanishka coming with Benny

"Wait, where did that guy go? He was just here"

"Aman bhaiya scared him away", replied Tanu with a frown looking at Aman who sighed shaking his head replying

"I didn't, he was just in a hurry"

"Maybe but you still scared him"

"That's what he's good at", commented Kanishka making Aman raise his eyebrows about to reply, just when he heard

"Yeah, he icchhh chooo scaaillleeyyy"

Hearing Benny everybody started laughing including Aman while he just watched all baffled frowning when Aman bent himself to his height pulling again his cheeks

"I'm chooo scaaailleeey huuuhhh??"

"I haaiittcchh youuu", murmured Benny frowning deep at Aman rubbing his cheeks giving him a low eyed look making Aman chuckle feathering a kiss on his cheek muttering

"I love you too!"

His words were meant for Benny, but his eyes still travelled unknowingly to Kanishka, who looked down at him the exact moment, sharing a common look making an eye contact which was different than just an usual admiring gaze.

It held an unusual spark lit of bright unspoken, unshared feelings drawing out in open, which their lips just twitched with a thin zipped smile at one another, making them gaze elsewhere the next moment closing their eyes sucking in a breathe controlling the feelings erupting inside their sudden pacing hearts.

All of which didn't go unnoticed from Tanu, who smiled at the two and then questioned having their gazes shifting to her

"You guys liked the pendant?"

"Yeah, wonder whose it is", replied Kanishka having Aman eye Tanu suspicious as she smiled hearing it, but before he could even develop a thought his attention shifted to Kanishka hearing her speak next

"But, I loved it. So I'll keep it anyways", her eyes travelling to Aman as she said the words 'I loved it', having him looking at her meeting her eyes which sent chills down his heart, as a weird feeling enveloped him into its embrace having him smiling genuinely at her nodding lightly in agreement as if to be signalling the message- 'I loved it too'.

The untainted trance, gets intervened by Benny who gently pulled on Kanishka's hand, shifting her attention to him while Aman gazed down instantly, collecting back the thoughts clouding up his heart, pulling a sharp breathe releasing it, while Benny stuttered

"Di, itchh chickss p.m all-lady, we aal lunning late, leettcchh go"

The pronounciation having them all chuckling at him while Kanishka responded having a look at her watch which ticked exactly at 6 p.m

"Benny's right we're already late, we better get going"

"Yeah sure", answered Tanu, having her gaze shifting to Aman who smiled at her, returning which said she

"Meet you tomorrow at the farewell. You have to come alright", The last words coming out more as an order than a request, as she recalled his words 'I am not interested for this farewell', from a couple of days back, having her passing him a warning look.

"He will! Don't worry", Answered Tanu instead of Aman, having him watching between the twobwho had the same warning look on their face, glaring at him, making him raise his shoulders in response

"I don't have a choice, do I?"

"You don't", answered both with their voices in an unison having him lifting his hands signalling their win, making Kanishka smile bidding quick adieus to them leaving the park with Benny, while they two stood watching them leave.

Turning to look at Tanu who was waving hands at Benny, muttered Aman noticing her for some seconds

"You gave Benny that pendant to give to Kanishka, didn't you?", His eyes watching her narrowed, causing her own to go wide hearing him making her gaze at him shocked shaking head in denial

"Wh——what?Nooo, No.. I did—didn't", replied Tanu taken aback gazing everywhere but not meeting his eyes biting on her lips, who followed her facial expressions close, replying with eyes narrowing

"YEAH, YOU DID"

"How? How did you find out?", Questioned Tanu completely baffled looking at Aman who smirked sighing

"I'm your brother, you can fool everyone but not me"

His answer had her frowning as she watched him with a 'I hate you' kinda look low eyeing him while he shook his head asking after a moment of thinking

"From where did you get money to buy it anyways?"

"It didn't cost much, I had some little savings"

"And you wasted it like this?"

"Wasted? Do you call it wasting?", Asked Tanu with eyes narrowed at Aman who could barely open his mouth to explain when she went all teary eyed running out of the park having him rolling his eyes gazing up shaking his head rubbing his fingers on his forehead for a moment before chasing her behind.

"Tanuuu, Tanuuuu stop, careful Tanuuu, Tanuuuu", called out Aman her name all the way back to home while she kept walking ahead of him ignoring his calls, having him following her behind calling out to her yelling aloud stopping her on the road right in front of her home

"Tanu just stop and please listen to me for a minute, alright? I didn't mean it"

Her legs finally ceasing hearing him, having her turning towards him saying the words she had been walking away with

"You know when I saw it first in the mall, I just knew it was meant only for you two, and so I bought it, cause I knew you wouldn't if I say it to you calling it a 'waste' as you did now. But for me it symbolises you two. I wanted to gift it to you two, but I knew you guys wouldn't take it if I did myself, hence I sent it through Benny, and as I thought Kanishka loved it. But you still call it a waste"

Tanu let out her tears, eyeing Aman who stepped near taking her in his embrace wrapping her hands around her back resting his face on her shoulder gently, speaking

"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have said what I said, but I didn't mean it. She loved it, and I loved it too, I won't lie. It was really cute", whispered he honestly making her cry chuckling hugging him in return questioning

"You really loved it?"

"Yeah", muttered Aman with a smile pulling himself away from her looking at her face who smiled hearing him, making him smirk adding further

"Not so much to go this emotional but yeah a little"

Tanu's smile faded away hearing him having her punching him on his chest passing him a sullen gaze making Aman groan rubbing his hand on his chest chuckling  saying

"So do I consider I'm forgiven"

"Only on one condition", replied Tanu making Aman eye her baffled questioning

"What condition?"

"Propose Kanishka bhabhi (sister-in-law)"

"WW—— WHHH——WHHAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT?"

Shocked. Shocked would be a mere understatement if Aman's facial expressions were to be described that moment, as his eyed blinked horrified in utter disbelief at Tanu who smiled shrugging her shoulders not understanding the reason why was he so shocked, just when she heard him speak

"Before anything, Did you just say bhabhi? KANISHKA BHABHI??"

"Yeahh, That's what is brother's wife called na?", Asked Tanu having Aman running his palm all over his face unaware how to react pulling the skin of his temple answering after a second of setting his thoughts straight

"Umm.. yeah, but how can you call her that, she's not my wife, and who taught you that word anyways?", His eyes blinking absolutely perplexed in question at Tanu who answered having Aman gritting his teeth

"Karan bhaiya"

"Of course, That little bastard", murmured Aman to himself cursing him mentally clenching his jaws and fist, just when he heard her speak

"And I know she's not your wife, but I also know she will be one day, so why can't I call her 'bhabhi' already?"

"Because that day won't come", replied Aman straight faced giving her a glare who now blinked her eyes looking up at him in question

"Why?"

"Because...", His lips taking a pause as his mind went blank having him gazing elsewhere blinking his eyes,  mumbling voiceless while Tanu answered for him

"Because you won't ever tell her your feelings right?"

Her words having him closing his eyes thinking over it, answering with his gaze lowered

"I don't have any feelings for her"

"You love her, and that's the best feeling one can have"

"I don't love her", replied Aman in an instant bending down his head as the words were betraying the look in his eyes fixing it on the floor not raising up noticing all of which smiled Tanu speaking

"You can't even look into my eyes saying it, can you? Why are you fighting it bhaiya? Why?"

Questioned she but all she received was a silence in response, as Aman squeezed closed his eyes hearing her shaking his head controlling his thoughts, just when his eyes fell open as Tanu stepped near cupping his cheeks telling

"Please don't fight your feelings for once bhaiya, just for once let it all out. She understands you. She's the best one for you", her eyes looking into his pleading him making him lift his eyes looking at her for a while licking his lips muttering with a nod

"I know, But I'm.."

"Because you're? Because you're what?", Asked Tanu squeezing her palms on his cheeks as he stopped mid way making him bite his lips feeling a prick in his eyes, gazing elsewhere shaking his head in denial having her questioning again

"Because you're what??"

"Because I'm not good for her, Alright. I'm not", answered Aman watery eyes placing his palm over hers gently removing it from his face, stepping back a foot gazing down closing his eyes, while she watched him with eyes full of tears

"You're not good for her? You're? Then who is good for her huh?"

"I don't know, but I'm not. I'll hurt her———like I hurt everyone else", muttered Aman the last words taking a slight pause as a tear ran down his cheeks, causing her own to flow having her stepping forward murmuring a 'No', cupping his cheeks wiping his tears from her thumb

"You never hurted me. You've never hurted anybody but yourself. The only person you hurt always is you, your own self", said she as fresh set of tears rolled down Aman's cheeks having him closing his eyes jerking his hand refusing

"No Tanu, you don't understand"

"No bhaiya, I do. But you don't. Everytime you hurt yourself, the people who love you, who care about you, they get hurt seeing you hurting yourself. Even right now by hiding your feelings.. you're just hurting yourself, and this is what will hurt her"

Her words causing Aman's eyes falling open having him looking into her eyes which held the same look that he noticed on Kanishka's when she said the same thing earlier, making him eye her wiping her tears from her face while his own were set free rolling down his cheeks, making her hug him close resting her head on his chest whispering the words sobbing

"You're one of the purest hearts I've ever met bhaiya... you're just different from everybody. You've been through so much, and now you just deserve to be happy. Just happy. Please just give yourself a chance to be happy. Can you?"

The words being communicated right to his heart, making him squeeze his eyes closed hugging her tight wiping his tears from his face saying after a while of a soothing silence

"I'll try my best", his answer having her pulling herself away from him wiping out her tears looking at him who looked back at her with eyes signalling 'I can't promise, I'm sorry', to which she nodded in understanding, saying

"I'll not force you for anything. I want you to take this decision from your own true free will. Just follow your heart, for your true self hides there. Listen to it. It'll always lead you to your happiness"

A smile on her face bringing one on Aman's own as he blinked his eyes in affirmation, making her grin hugging him once again saying a 'Good night', to which he responded repeating the same back feathering a kiss on her head who grinned a smile walking towards the door unlocking it about to enter when a thought crept her mind, having her turning back looking at him with a smile saying the final words

"But if you ask me, you and your happiness, both resides only with her"

The words capturing Aman having him blinking void of any feeling at Tanu who smiled at him entering the home, leaving him standing alone with his thoughts as the entire day flashed before his eyes pausing at the exact moment when she had her palms squeezing on his own smiling at him gently having him murmuring to himself tranced out

"MY HAPPINESS!"
