"You are not coming in my team whatsoever!"

"Excuse me? I'm the one who outright reject you"

"What the hell do you mean by that!? Am I requesting you to take me!?"

"Even though you beg me, I won't take you!!", Commented Aman driving Kanishka crazy who gave him an "Are you crazy?" kinda look, making him chuckle infuriating Kanishka further as she stepped near him yelling

"Don't you dare laugh at me, you monkey-head...!!"

It was Aman's turn to raise his eyebrows and stepping a foot closer looked straight into her eyes muttering

"Whom do you think you are calling monkey!?"

"You, Of course! Who else? You are the only human who didn't evolve even after this many years!"

Aman scrunched his face listening Kanishka's comment and it was so comical that she laughed at him, without any shame. Instead of thinking of a way to select team, they were busy rejecting each other's  invitation for the team. Only if they knew that they couldn't deny their fate.

On the other hand Karan was thinking of a way they could select teams. Aditi was sat next to him racking her brains as well, turning his head to face her Karan was left in an awe. His jaw hanging loose and lips quivering, too insensitive to speak as his eyes watched her without blinking.

Her palm resting on her delicate chin as she was lost in her own trance of thoughts staring at nothing in particular just when her skin prickled sensing a strong gaze on her and out of instinct, her face turned towards Karan matching straight with his eyes which were busy staring at her thin and black eyelashes.

Blinking several times at him but still finding his gaze intact, fixed at her eyelashes, she felt baffled. Getting tensed that there was something wrong with her eyelashes, she placed her hand beside it brushing it softly with her index finger asking

"Is something wrong with my eyelashes?"

The question breaking through Karan's trance, startling him as he closed his mouth quickly running his eyes around if he was broken from a spell, he shook his head vigorously indicating that there was nothing serious.

Lowering his gaze quickly mentally facepalming himself for his act, he quickly added trying to cover his embarrassment

"Actually, there was some dust on your eyelashes, it's gone now, nothing to worry"

Aditi mouthed an 'oh' and a 'thank you' to which Karan lightly smiled turning his head quickly muttering to himself

Aditi cannot be in my team. I doubt I can concentrate on my practice and may end up embarrassing myself. No, I can't let this happen!

Karan came to the conclusion mentally beginning to think how to do it, he knew very well if they would decide team by any luck based game, definitely he would be paired up with Aditi, courtesy his luck.

He was damn scared and couldn't think of any idea. After some seconds of tirelessly working his brains, he finally thought "Why not Aman then! When will that useless junk be of some use?"

However,before he could think anything more, Aditi spoke loud "Okay so I have got an idea." He asked nervously as her idea might be more problematic to him, "What's that?"

"You guys do not want each other in your team isn't it?" Aditi asked looking at Aman and Kanishka who were still arguing. "Yessss", it came out as a roar as both of them yelled at the same time.

Aditi told "Okay okay so you both have to play a game and the result of the game will decide the two teams. And whatever maybe the result you have to accept it..! No fighting.. No arguing..!" The Angry birds didn't look convinced and they preferred to remain silent. They just could not seal their fates with their one nod without making sure that they won't end up getting paired.

Aditi continued assuring them "Do not worry guys, the probability of you both ending up in each other team is minim almost impossible."

It seemed that this was the final straw tonconvine them to agree to it. Aditi smiled when they both muttered an "ok fine!"

Kanishka was about to say something when Aman interrupted "I would like to know the game first, I can't take risk around her", Aman told keeping his thumb and index finger around his chin, looking dramatically at kanishka from top to bottom. It was obvious that though he was quite convinced, still he did not want to take any risk to be paired with that 'nakchadi'.

Aditi chuckled at Aman shaking her head murmuring "over-acting" while Kanishka glared at Aman, passing him an irritated look. Karan lightly smiled, he was eager to know the game more than anyone even though he was not playing it.

Aditi told "Okay okay, so game goes like this..! All of our four names will be written on the chits and you both have to pick up one one chit..! The name you get is your team partner and no argument over that..! If you get your own name chit by chance then you can take another chit..!" Aman and kanishka looked at each other, both were looking confident

Passing Aman a confident look Kanishka told folding her hands around her chest "My luck is my best friend..! It never betrays me..! So just forget that I will be in your team". She passed a smirk at the last to Aman. Karan got happy listening her words. "I feel Kanishka will be my savior today" he thought, doing happy dance in his mind.

Aman rolled his eyes replying "I never thought that to forget..! My luck is not so bad that I will get youuuurrrrrr name chit..!" He stressed the word 'your' deliberately looking at her smirking, he knew this was enough to remove her smirk. As he expected, a sullen gaze replaced her smirking face.

"Jhuta kahi ka (Such a lier)" Karan murmured listening to Aman's words I never thought that he further murmured "Sabse pehle yehi socha hoga (He would have thought this at the very first moment)".

"What..?" Aditi asked forwarding half of the paper to Karan. Karan took the paper and divided it into two replying "Nothing, nothing".

"Write our name, let me write this two idiots name" Aditi told forwarding one pen to Karan. Karan and Aditi wrote down the names, less noticing the two eyes closely following their actions.

Folding the paper Aditi told Karan "It will be so awesome, if this two idiots get paired up as a team".

"Yeahhhh.." Karan replied without thinking much, he looked at Aman and Kanishka who were as usual busy ridiculing each other. He smiled, replying "It will be so awesome..!!! I hope it happens" His eyes went big in no second, Now he realized what does that mean.

"Wait what..!!!?? Noo.... If they would be paired up... Me and Aditi will be paired up automatically...!! No no noo.. that shouldn't happen..! Forget what I said before some time... Do not let that happen God..!" He prayed God, he looked startled all of a sudden.

Aditi showed all the chits to Aman and kanishka. They smiled taking the pics, they were looking confident taking the pics as if they knew that it's not going to be each others name. Aditi found the smile on their faces weird. Karan was just looking at their faces, mentally praying for not to be what he just hoped for before sometime.

Kanishka and Aman opened their chit and their eyes went wide, and mouth hung open. All their confidence was wiped out from their face in no second and was replaced with a frown. Both looked at each other and snatched each others paper to find their very own name written on it. They frowned wider.

Karan saw their dull faces, he came to know the result, he couldn't understand seeing their dull faces if they were unlucky..! Or he was..!? He didn't even participate in the game but yet he lost.

"Wah bhagwan..! Wah.. Mai apka itna favorite Kyu Hun...?? Kabhi toh Meri sun liya Karo..! (Wow just wow...! Why am I so favorite of yours God..? ? At least sometimes listen to my requests..!)" He asked God Mentally. His own mind replied, making him remember his very own words 'I hope it happens'.

"Woh 4 words sunai de Gaye..!? Baki kuch sunai nai Diya..!? (You just heard those 4 words..?! Nothing else you heard thereafter..?)" He asked God. He heard someone laughing, he thought it's God who's laughing on him, he frowned, he heard the sound getting louder, he could hear some yelling and he came out of his imaginary world to find Aditi covering her mouth from one of her hands and laughing. She had tears in her eyes laughing.

He couldn't understand why she's laughing so much, but seeing her laughing her heart out melted all his frown and he smiled nonchalantly. He couldn't understand why was she laughing though, before he could say something he had to close his ears due to a loud ear piercing sound..!

"Youuuuuu idiot.... Youuuu Monkeyyyyy..!!!! Your luck wasn't so bad to find myyyyyy chit right....??!!! Now what happened..!!?" Kanishka yelled. She stressed the word 'my' giving reference to his earlier words "My luck is not so bad that I will get youuuurrrrrr name chit..!"

Aman's eyes narrowed, he wanted to chuckle so badly for the fact that she got affected by his words earlier and so cute she was looking yelling but he masked it with an irritated face.

"Shut up..!! What about your luck..!? Your so called best friend who never betrays you huh..!? Why did he ditch you just today..!!? Badi badi batein karni aati hai..! Junglee billi kahi ki..! (You just know to talk big big..! Such a wild cat)". Aman replied reminding her of her very own words.

Both were disappointed and were cursing their fate. Aman told gaining attention of Kanishka

"Pata nai kiska chehera dekh ke utha tha subah subah..! Din hi kharab hai..! Kismat hi kharab hai, kaise kaise log aa Jate hai team Mai (I don't know who's face I saw early in the morning..!? Everything wrong with the day, My fate is only not good..! See what kind of person i have got in my team..!)"

Aman showed hand in direction of Kanishka while looking up enacting as if he was talking to God and pleading for his Mercy.

Kanishka replied "Khud ka chehhera dekha hoga pakka subah uth Kar.. tabhi aisa din ja Raha hai..! Mera bhi din kharab Kar Diya..! Kaise kaise log rehte hai team mai..! ( You must have seen your very own face after waking up, That's why your day is going bad , even spoiled my day..! Weird weird people will be there in team..!)".

Karan also broke into laughter, Aditi was enjoying to the max already. Aman face flushed in no second, it was obvious he was irritated by her reply. He grit his teeth further when he saw them laughing. He turned his face in opposite direction. While Kanishka turned her face in other folding her hands.

"You guys are a team now and you can't deny that whatsoever..! So congrats" before she could say anything more, both kanishka and Aditi turned their head straight at Aditi listening the word congrats, their eyes narrow, irritation could be seen from their stare. Aditi moved back a little raising her hands asking sorry for the mistake.

"Okay okay sorry..! Now do not stare me like that" Aditi said looking at them who turned their heads back again listening to this. She continued "You guys picked up the chits..! And luckily or unluckily got each other named chits.! Now you are a team..! And you guys better not waste any more time and start practicing..! We ain't got much time".

They frowned looking at Aditi who looked serious about what she told. They saw each other and murmured okay uninterested. They went and sat on the front row but told nothing to each other. Aditi and Karan saw them and then to each other, Aditi shrugged her shoulders. Karan looked up trying to think some plan to make them speak.

An idea clicked his mind and he grinned thinking about it. Aditi saw him grinning of a sudden and gave him a questioned look. Karan told "I have got an idea". Aditi mouthed oh and asked excited "What is it..?".

"Just do what I say" Karan told grinning. He told the entire plan to Aditi and Aditi laughed thinking about it. Both of them grinned ear to ear walking little near Aman and kanishka so that what they speak is audible to both of them.

*Aditi laughs making Kanishka and Aman raise her eyebrows*

You are correct Karan..! But we aren't so good yet..!? They can also defeat us..

*Kanishka listens and nods in approval making Karan and Aditi chuckle a bit, but they masked it*

I know but I don't think we need practice to defeat them, we can defeat them in a fraction of minute.

Aman and kanishka's eyebrow raised, they were furious now. They couldn't take it anymore. Karan and Aditi saw were observing their actions them from the corner of their eyes.. they were looking miffed and angry.. the plan had worked.. all now was required was a good offending line. Just a little more effort was required..! Which was rightly provided by Aditi's next words..!

Yeah Karan we are the winners already..! They lost..!

"Wait who lost..!!? No competition between us has happened yet..! How can you guys win..!?" Kanishka told finally standing up from her seat, her voice held anger..! The ploy of hurting her pride worked.

Karan and Aditi lightly chuckled but before she could notice Karan changed it to a over confident jerk face or to say Aman's face which he knows she hates replying with a smirk "Do we even need to compete to know who's winning it..! Obviously me and Aditi will win".

Aman interrupted "You are challenging us..!?" standing from his seat, his face yelling "Enough of it".

Karan faced his direction, he mentally laughed at his face and he spoke grinning to himself "Finally my brother has arrived". Karan didn't show it up on his face,he replied with a challenging face "You can take it as a challenge then, Let's see who's team is the best".

Kanishka replied instead of Aman "Okay then, we are up for the challenge..! Be ready to loose" her eyes held determination, she meant her words. Aditi replied "Let's see who wins, we will have a face off on Saturday, today is Tuesday, so prepare well, Let the best team win..! Even though we are winning it.."

Kanishka replied "You are gonna lose bad time..! You better be prepared for it from now itself". Aditi replied "Will see". With that Karan and Aditi walked to the last row leaving them on the first row.

Karan and Aditi maintained a poker face while going, but as soon as they went to the last row they broke into fits of laughter. Aditi told laughing "What a performance Karan..! You are so natural in acting". Karan replied still laughing "Thank you, you were great too". Aditi mouthed a thank you saying "How did you come up with this idea..!? And how were you so sure it would work"

Karan replied "It was not my idea" making Aditi confused. Seeing her confused he continued "I mean this is how Aman convinced Kanishka for our team earlier for this competition". Aditi mouthed oh and then laughed replying "Great Karan..! You used his very own trick on him.! I guess they must be practicing by now..! We must start practicing as well..!".

Karan hummed and Aditi started telling him tips on how can he be not be nervous on the stage. Karan was listening carefully to her would be a wrong statement he was carefully observing every feature of her while speaking. She was telling him about various things but he was busy staring her, nodding his head occasionally.

Aditi finished, she saw Karan looking at her. She had stopped speaking and he was still looking at her with the same look which he had earlier when she was speaking.

Aditi waved her hands in front of his face, bringing an end to his train of thoughts. Karan blinked his eyes embarrassed at his action, he was caught red handed staring her. Aditi asked "Where were you lost..? You even heard what i told" Karan gulped replying "Yeah yeah I heard everything, I understand, I will do it". Aditi replied less convinced "Okay then you ready..!?"

Karan asked "For what..!?". Aditi replied "I just told you, how you forgot so soon..!?". Karan mouthed a sorry not looking up. Aditi replied "Okay no problem, I told you to go and practice in front of mirror today, you have to learn how to make eye contact and speak, you can't look away while speaking right..! So you practice today and tomorrow you have to speak without breaking eye contact"

Karan eyes went apart listening to her words without breaking eye contact. His heart started beating faster, he was nervous would be an understatement. He was scared more than nervous.

"How will I do it..? How will I be able to speak in front of her that too making eye contact..!? Omg I will embarrass myself big time..! " All this questions arose in his mind in some seconds. Aditi asked "You understood now..!?". He gulped the lump formed in his throat. He was about to say he can't, but just that moment they heard a loud yell from the front rows causing them to run getting startled.

"Meeeeeeee"

"Noooo meeeee"

Aman and Kanishka yelled at each other. Aditi asked reaching "What is happening here..!?". Kanishka answered looking at Aman "This monkey is not accepting Me as the captain". Aman face turned red. Aditi and Karan facepalmed.

"Do not say me you guys were arguing on this..! This whole time..!?" Aditi told looking at her friend.

Aman replied "Ask this stupid idiot brainless cat..! Why can't she accept me as the captain..!?" Listening to him Kanishka replied angry "Okay then, tomorrow we have a class test, the one who scores more on it will be the captain and the one who looses will have to listen everything whatever the winner says. Deal..!?"

Aman thought once which class test they had? The only test related Info he could remember was of Maths. Before he could think more.. she asked Aman again "What happened now..!? Already scared..!?"

Thinking it as maths test, Aman quickly replied "I'm ready". Making Karan eyes go apart in disbelief. Kanishka smirked replying "Be ready to lose mister". Aman replied bitterly laughing "You are making a mistake here."
