Rin's POV

"Servant! Come here!" Came the call. I sighed.

It had been a week since I had been sold.
Separated from my brother. I missed him.
I would probably never see him again though.

I went into the princesses room.
Great. Prince Mikuo was there. Sitting by her. On the bed.
Prince Mikuo was a spoiled brat.
He was the Prince at the castle I had worked at before.
I hated him.

"Yes your majesty?" I said, forcing a smile.

"Would you fetch me my little Emmie?" She said, though it sounded like a question, it was really more of a command.

I nodded and left. Why she didn't keep Emerald in the room with her, I didn't know. Emerald was her adorable golden retriever puppy named for her large, adorable green eyes.

I went down to the kitchen, where princess Kaiko kept her adorable little puppy.

Emmie was immediately at my feet, trying to get my attention.
Her lovely eyes looked up at me, and I couldn't help but keel down and pet the little puppy.

"Princess want her again?" Asked the head chef. She was a rude woman.

I nodded.

"Well take her then. She's getting in the way, and so are you, so shoo"

"Yes Ma'am" I said, picking up the pup and going back to Kaiko's room.

"Ah! Emmie!" Princess called as I opened the door and set Emmie on the floor.

Emmie ran to the princess and was lifted into the princesses arms.

"You may go now servant" the princess said, dismissing me. I left the room, but I didn't know where else to go, so I sat outside the door, waiting for her to call me again. Soon the door opened, and I jumped up, only to find Mikuo looking at me.

I felt my face heat up, and bowed to hide it.

"Your majesty" I mumbled.

I felt him put two fingers under my chin, and saw him stare into my eyes.
He stayed that way for a few minutes, before muttering "Why does the slave have to be so hot?" And removing his fingers he walked away.

I felt myself blush. He didn't actually think that, right? No, he was messing with me. He was a cruel man, who didn't care about anyone, especially servants.

But why was I blushing then?
