Chapter five: Where Could Riliane And Allen Be?
Len's POV
Me and Miku were in the kitchen talking and laughing.
There wasn't often anything for me to clean up, so I was normally standing around.
Miku kept having me try foods, and many were delicious, but none beat bananas.
"Hey, Len, you wanna try some stuffing?" Miku asked, holding a spoonful of something out to me.
"No, I'm eating to much!" I said with a laugh.
"Oh, come on! Try it!" She said, trying to put the spoon in my mouth.
I dodged.
"You can't make me!"
"Oh really?" She said, starting to chase me around the kitchen, both of us laughing as she tried to get me to try the stuffing.
After a few minutes of running I felt myself be tackled to the ground and she tried to force my mouth open.
"Come on Len! Try it!"
"No!" I said, trying not to laugh and keep my mouth closed.
She started to tickle me though and I couldn't help but laugh.
She took the opportunity to shove the spoon into my mouth and then she stood up. "Haha, I win!" She laughed.
I chewed and swallowed before laughing.
"No, I won!"
"Uh uh! How so?"
"In every way possible!"
"That makes no sense!" She giggled. Her giggle was cute, literally music to my ears.
"It makes all the sense in the world to me"
She smiled at me and we made eye contact, and I lost myself in her large, innocent, beautiful blue eyes.
"Miku! The stuffing is gonna burn!" Called madam IA.
"Uh, yeah, sorry ma'am!" She called, breaking eye contact with me and running over to check the stuffing. I walked over to where I was standing before and leaned on the counter.
Every day had been better. I hadn't even seen the stable master since a week ago. I had barely any work to do at all. I would talk with Miku for hours, and madam IA was really nice, even though she didn't always like me talking with Miku...
Well, she was married to the stable master apparently, but he never came to the kitchen. Or, at least he hasn't while I've been here.
I actually felt, happy. Something I didn't think I'd ever feel after Rin had been sold.
I still missed her, to be sure.
But, Miku was really nice, and I wasn't sure why, but I was glad she was.
Who knows? Maybe I'd actually fall in love with her.
Even though I was younger than her by a couple years, I could already feel myself starting to fall for her.
Even though I knew it would probably only end in heartbreak, I couldn't stop myself. I loved her.
King Arthur's POV
I sat at the throne, my head in my hands, where it often was now a days.
Though I kept the search parties searching, they had never found my two adorable, lost children.
I wished I had kept a better eye on them in the garden that day. I wish I hadn't left them with the maid, I should have know it would be to easy to kill her and steal my little babies.
My lovely queen Anne entered the room and ran over to me, climbing onto my lap. Though we were growing old she still loved me as much as when we had first met, and nothing had changed. Well, other then our children being taken from us.
The loss of our children had effected her greatly as she was now thinner and her face always sad and tear streaked.
She buried her face in my shoulder.
"Still no news?" She whispered. I shook my head sadly. I hated seeing her like this. It only made me feel more guilty for leaving them.
She started sobbing and I gently rubbed her back, my own eyes moistened with tears.
"Will we ever see our precious Allen and Riliane again?" She choked through her tears.
"I don't know, but I'll search for them till I die" I said, wiping her tears.
"I'm sure we'll find out something eventually. Just try to be strong" I said.
Though it had been 13 years, we were still just as grieved as the first day they were taken. At least then we had hope of them coming back to us soon, of finding the person who took them.
Now we were losing hope, we had missed our children growing up, if they were even still alive.
But I wouldn't give up. If they were still alive I would find them.
