CHAPTER FIVE

LAURENTIUS' CHOPPER just landed on Balingasag Port's helipad since his short-live vacation just ended. Only the exclusive members of Achilles Islands Resort can use the chopper as transportation to Achilles Islands, and vice versa. Some of the well-known celebrities chooses to have a vacation in Achilles Islands Resort, so they have to separate from the public. Hench, the exclusive helicopter transportation is convenient for them than the Achilles Cruising.

He immediately exited the building where the helipad was located dragging his luggage with him full of dirty clothes.

He paid a cab upang i-hatid siya sa Laguindingan Airport but someone caught his attention from the crowd, stopping him from getting in-in the taxi. He saw a very familiar silhouette of someone. And that someone was the one he despised the most. Denryl Alcanzare.

Hindi siya nagkamali, ito nga si Denryl. Ang pinagtataka lang niya ay kung bakit siya nandirito. And it looks like he's packed for a long week vacation. Interesting.

"Sir?" tawag ng drayber sa kaniya nang hindi pa pumapasok si Laurentius sa taxi cab.

Fuck this, mura niya sa isipan.

"It's sudden, but I won't need a ride anymore," anunsyo niya sa drayber at may kinuhang ilang libo at binigay sa drayber.

"Unsay nakaon atoh?"

May narinig siyang sinabi ng drayber, kaso nagmamadali siyang bumalik sa Balingasag Port. Tinignan niya ang kumpol ng mga tao, at hindi siya nabigo nang makita ulit niya si Denryl doon na mag-isa, naghihintay para sa kaniyang sasakyan na yate papuntang isla. He smirked from the sight of Denryl.

Nang masigurong paparuon nga ito sa Achilles Islands ay agad siyang pumanhik pabalik sa building kung saan may helicopter papuntang isla. While doing so, he dialed his office's phone. Ilang ring lang ay sinagot ito ng kanyang sekretarya.

"Good evening, this is Atlar In. Corp,. How may I help you?"

"This is Laurentius Altarejos. I want you to cancel all my appointments for the next one week or so," utos niya agad sa kabilang linya.

"Pero, Sir, we have already stretched some of your cancelled appointments. And some investors are booking a plan meeting with our company this week," paliwanag ng kaniyang sekretarya sa kanya.

"Just do it," mariin niyang saad. "Luziano is there, let him take the responsibilities of the company for the main time while I'm gone."

"But, Sir, he said on the other day that he's here in the country to be free from business and burdens."

"Fuck," mura niya. Is he even worth to take another leave?

"Sir . . ?"

"Whatever. I'm still gonna have my extended vacation. I'm the boss, so inform the stakeholders about my extended leave," sabi lang niya sa sekretarya. Rinig niya ang pag singhap nito sa gulat sa kabilang linya.

"But, Sir, you hav---"

Agad niyang binabaan ng tawag ang sekretarya at pinatuloy ang pag panhik sa loob ng building. He transacted with them and he's ready to take the flight off to the island.

Let's see how your vacation will become eventful because of me.

DENRYL PAID for a two-week vacation package with a cabin by the beach, kaya malapit sa dalampasigan ang kaniyang inu-upahan na temporary shelter. Meroon namang mga naglalakihang hotel doon na pwedeng upahan ng mga turista, depende na lang sa iyo. The buildings are also facing the beach that has a distance from it. The buildings' owners are in partnership with the Achilles brothers.

What can I say, they can invest a lot in Achilles Islands.

Looking at his cabin, malaki-laki naman ito at may veranda pa sa labas na pwede mong tambayan at magkape tuwing umagang kaylamig---or pwede ring ma-init na tanghali. Pinoy tayo, eh. He chose this cabin by the beach because it had plenty of necessities. May own comfort room na rin kasi ito with shower head.

Fishing out his keys, he opened the door to his cabin. Agad niyang hinanap ang switch nang ilaw at nang mahanap ito ay binuhay n'ya ito. Bumungad sa kanya ang ganda ng loob ng cabin. It's cute and artistic.

Wala na siyang inaksayang na oras at agad na kinaladkad ang bagahe patungo sa magiging kwarto niya. Hopefully, wala sanang bubungad sa kaniya na nagtatalik. Mahirap na.

Nang makapasok ay agad siyang nagtungo sa closets ng cabin. He set his clothes inside their closets there, at nilagay ang ibang gamit sa rightful places nito. He has a wardrobe of clothes worth three weeks that is currently tucked inside their closets. He wants to make his place tidy, kahit hindi naman siya magdadala ng lalaki rito. His purpose was to relax and have time for himself, not to fuck every willing men until he forgets his problems and ex.

Where did that thought came from?

He exhaled a deep sigh nang ma-alala na naman niya ang pagtataksil ng kasintahan. He stared outside his glass window toward the dark blue sea. Somehow, the calm waters of the sea also calms him down. It is already dark, and he loves how the light of the island reflects on the calm waves. It's so . . . relaxing.

Bigla na lang kumalam ang kaniyang tiyan at na-alalang hindi pa pala siya naghahaponan. Well, he better order a food to eat then.

Meroon namang telephone table doon sa maliit na living room ng cabin kaya pumunta siya roon. May mga brochures din doon na naglalaman ng mga information about things and such. Hinanap n'ya ang restaurant na nagde-deliver ng pagkain room-to-room at agad naman siyang nakahanap. And he dialed it immediately.

He's just too lazy to drive to the nearest restaurant kaya mag door-to-door order na lang siya. Surprisingly, wala namang shipping fee keneme kapag mag door-to-door order ka rito. Kaya sinakyan na niya ang chance.

Tinignan n'ya ang menu sa brochure at pumili lang ng light meals for tonight. Nagdagdag na rin siya ng three bottle of beers since nasa menu rin nila ito.

Nang maka-order na, agad siyang umupo sa loveseat ng cabin at inabot ang remote ng flat screen TV nila. Binuhay n'ya ito and scrolled through channels to channels. Huminto lang siya nang makakita ng fashion show channel. He loves watching those shows with showcasing fabulous dress and clothes. It's not that he wants to be a fashion designer, but it's just amazing to watch models walking and showing off designer clothes.

Hindi nagtagal ay may nag-doorbell sa cabin niya kaya agad siyang bumangon sa sofa at pumanhik sa pintoan. He paid his meal by using his card. Swipe-swipe lang, gano'n.

His dinner for tonight is just a bowl of fresh salad---consists of romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, grapes, small slices of apple, bits of pineapple and mayonnaise as dressing. With three cans of beers as panulak.

He ate it while watching the show. He drunk all of his alcoholic beverages kaya medyo may tama siya. When he felt tired for the night, he retired to the cabin's comfy bed and dropped himself like a sack. It didn't toke him seconds to fall asleep immediately.

"GOOD MORNING, mga tang-ina! Except sa 'yo! Fuck you, you small-dicked cheater!" masiglang sigaw doon ni Denryl sa veranda niya. He feels like refreshed dahil sa mahimbing niyang tulog kagabi for the first time in weeks.

The view of the ocean brings him calmness and peace of mind first thing in the morning. The island is truly luxurious and a vacation spot.

Denryl stretched and do weird things to energize himself even more, kaya may narinig na lang siyang natatawang boses sa unahan. It is a deep, manly and amused chuckles.

Nanlaki ang mata niya at binalingan ang pinaggalingan ng boses at doon tumambad sa kaniya ang may-ari ng kabilang cabin. He didn't know na nasa labas din pala ang kapit-bahay na cabin. Shit.

The stranger just amusingly smiles at him and lifted his mug---probably filled with coffee. "Good morning."

Hindi alam ni Denryl kung anong gagawin. Tumugon ba o magtago sa loob ng cabin niya dahil sa pinagsisigaw at gawa sa veranda niya. The stranger must've seen him did all those kaya ganoon ito sa kanya. And that shit was embarrassing.

Napa-kamot na lang siya sa kaniyang batok and awkwardly smiles back at the stranger.

The stranger is currently standing on his veranda with a mug of coffee in his hand. He is also topless with his pyjamas on and his well-toned and hairy (in a hot way) torso is exposed. His brunette hair is quite messy and his emerald green eyes are still clouded with sleep. He looks like a foreigner enjoying his vacation in the Philippines. What a handsome daddy bear.

I can say he's attractive. AFAM na iyan, uy.

"I, uhm, I'mma head inside." Denryl dashed inside his cabin from the embarrassment the stranger at nagtalukbong ng comforter niya.

Sobrang nakakahiya! (⁠〒⁠﹏⁠〒⁠)

The stranger just chuckled and can't help but compliment his neighbor cabin by saying, "Cute."

Nang mawala ang kahihiyan sa sistema niya, agad siyang naligo at nagbihis upang pumaruon sa pinakamalapit na restaurant. Thankfully, wala na sa labas ng veranda iyong foreigner at mukhang nasa loob na ito. Kaya, RUN!

When he feels like he is dressed properly, he hurriedly drove towards the nearest restaurant to eat his breakfast.

He parked his own golf cart at a parking space of a restaurant called Chillax Resto. This is also the restaurant where he ordered his dinner last night. Satisfyingly, their food is delicious.

Walang inaksayang na oras si Denryl at agad na pumasok sa sinasabing gusali. It is morning and breakfast hours, kaya marami-rami ang mga tao roong na-a-almusal. Luckily, it didn't took too long for Denryl to find a table for two. Sakto lang sa kaniya since siya lang naman ang kakain. Kelly isn't here to share him a table with.

May agad na lumapit sa kaniyang waiter.

Ang sosyal dito, ha, manghang isip doon ni Denryl habang ngini-ngitian ang waiter na nagbigay sa kaniya ng menu.

"Good morning, and welcome to Chillax Resto, Sir," maligaya nitong bati sa kaniya.

"Morning. Uhm . . ." Denryl is scrolling his eyes to see what could he eat for breakfast. "Uh, I'll have English breakfast and a freshly squeezed orange, please," lahad niya sa order at ibinalik ang menu sa waiter.

"I'll be back with your order, Sir. If you excuse me." The waiter excused himself as he went into the backroom for the employees.

Denryl huffed out a bored breathe and he waits for his breakfast to arrive. So far, his vacation at this luxurious island is amazing. Except doon sa nangyari kaninang umaga. That shit's embarrassing. And he'd wish but a spoiled vacation. That would suck big time.

A knock from his table popped out his train of thoughts and reverie. Thinkng it was the waiter with his food, he grins widely and meet the waiter's gaze. Except, it wasn't the waiter's. It was a face of a random stranger. A handsome stranger, to be precise.

Nawala ang ngiti sa mukha ni Denryl at napalitan iyon ng pagkalito. Bumalik naman agad ang ngiti ni Denryl upang magmukhang appealing sa estranghero. The stranger just stood there with an amusing smile on his face.

"Uhm, can I help you?" Denryl inquired. He looks like a foreigner. Siguro Amerikano siya.

"No. I mean, yes!" The stranger answered too cheerily. "It seems that most of the tables are occupied, and I was wondering if I can have a seat opposite to yours. If you don't have someone with you on the table. But if you want to be alone, I can find another table to sit wit---"

"No," putol ni Denryl sa estranghero nang papa-alis na sana ito. He doesn't need to be rude. And every one just wants to eat breakfast like him. It's not being flirty or opportunity grabber, okay? "You can sit here with me. It's fine with me."

"Oh, great. How thoughtful of you." Nasisiyahang umupo ang estranghero sa harapan ni Denryl at binigyan siya ng napaka-laking ngiti. "Thanks."

"Don't mention it."

The stranger just intently staring at him after he toke a sit in front of him, and it kinda bothers him. His stares are something. He's like eyeing him in amusement or like he's in front of the most beautiful gal in the word. Or he probably thinks Denryl looks hilarious and ugly.

"No need to stare. I know I'm ugly, Mister." Denryl scoffed at him in annoyance.

"No, no," agad na angal ng estranghero at umayos ito nang upo sa harapan niya. "You're far from being ugly or hideous. You're actually cute and pretty."

Namula si Denryl sa narinig dito. He isn't used to being flirted by anyone. Since all his teenage years, he was with Jeimson. Walang ibang lalaki ang nakakalapit sa kaniya or nakaka-aligid.

"I-I'm not . . . cute or even pretty," tanggi ni Denryl sa sinabi nito.

"Believe me, you are," the stranger assured him with a genuine smile that is also shown in his pair of emerald green eyes.

A good-looking man like the one who's sitting right in front of him shouldn't say those kind of things toward him. He deserves a pretty, flawless woman, not a broken and ugly, piece of trash like him. The guy deserves better.

"So, who is that small-dicked cheater you mentioned earlier?" biglaang tanong nito sa kaniya kaya nanlaki ang kaniyang mata.

Oh, my God! Siya iyong katabi kong cabin? No way!

He took in the sight in front of him. Brunette hair, emerald green eyes and an amusing smile. It is his cabin neighbor!

"I, uh, that is for no one in particular," namumulang sabi ni Denryl sa kaniya. Tumawa naman ang estranghero sa narinig.

"Hmm . . ." The guy is eyeing him, like he's searching his soul for something. "So, we are cabin neighbors, then," the guy stated the obvious.

"I guess so," nahihiyang sabi roon ni Denryl at hindi ma-salubong ang tingin ng lalaki.

"So, I guess it is alright to know each others' name, ey?" the guy pesters him. "My name's Romero. Romero Saunders. It's a pleasure to meet you . . ."

The foreign stranger, Romero, extended his hand for Denryl to accept and shake. May pag-a-alinlangang itong tinanggap niya at naki-kamay. Romero's smile became wide as Denryl accepts his hand.

"I'm Denryl, nice to meet you, too," nahihiyang pakilala ni Denryl kay Romero bago pinutol ang kanilang kamayan.

Well, there goes a lovely hand.

"No surnames?" biro roon ni Romero.

Denryl awkwardly laugh kasi hindi niya alam kung anong gagawin. He regrets na pina-upo niya ang estranghero sa harapan na upoan sa kaniya. He should've declined him earlier. Maybe he hates socializing and meeting strangers, at all.

"You don't have to be shy or awkward around me. I won't bite." The guy noticed his awkwardness. "Unless you want me to."

Namula si Denryl sa narinig. So much for being a virgin.

"Oh. I, uh, that's funny. HA HA HA."

Natawa naman si Romero sa narinig kay Denryl. He likes how Denryl is shy and awkward in front of him. He looks so innocent and submissive.

"You're not used to being hit, are you? Or are you straight?" Romero concluded with a still amusing smile on his gorgeous face.

Iniwas ni Denryl ang tingin kay Romero. "I actually don't get much attention from the guys---which is fine with me. Oh, God. I sounded like a boomer. But, yeah. I am gay since I can decipher it."

"You can actually talk in paragraphs now, I like it. Nice," Romero said. "I'm actually a bisexual. Boys like you makes me gay and gayer even more."

"Oh, I guess thanks," nahihiyang saad ni Denryl doon.

"I like you, to be honest."

And after so many weeks of not posting an update sa Unexpected Heat, here it is! HUHUHUHUHU. I am bombarded with school activities and shits. Buhay college nga naman.

But I am happy na wala akong INC or bagsak na units kahit wala akong laptop! WAHAHAHA.

Anygays, I hope you like the update. I threw in some new character. He's actually from The Engagement Orgy. Basta malalaman n'yo kung ano at sino siya kapag ma-i-publish ko na ang ang one-shot ng The Engagement Orgy. Promise, matinding bakbakan ang doon base na rin sa title. WAHAHAHA.
