*James Pov*

"James!" that's all Grandma said while I continued to stare at the door through which Swathi just walked away.

"You shouldn't have brought Tina." I mumbled, turning to stare at her only to see a hard expression.

"You shouldn't have hid the truth of your marriage." She retorted and I sighed, knowing well I can never win with Grandma.

"You heard what she said and I knew you wouldn't accept for any divorce in our family name." I explained but she just stood there.

I ignored her glare and continued to repeat whatever words Swathi uttered before leaving from the house. Wishes fulfilled after two months? What the hell is she talking about?

"Poor Tina! I have been talking about the marriage with you and now if she knows you are already married, then I don't know how much devastated she will be." Grandma's dramatic words brought me out of my thoughts.

"She is not poor Tina." I rolled my eyes, making her move to smack me again but I stepped back.

"You don't have care for your wife and even for your friend. What man did I raise you into?" she asked and I snorted.

"You heard Swathi telling herself that she is the bad person here." I replied more than to repeat her words myself with a frown.

"Don't tell me you are the best person in this situation." She mocked and I couldn't help but smile.

"Let me tell you everything." I started and told her each and everything which everyone knows, but not the ones which I just discovered from Swathi and the one which Nakul and I discovered today.

"No wonder you like your job." Her comment was not what I was expecting, but I already know not to expect a particular reaction.

When it was past seven, I glanced at the door to see whether she returned, but she didn't make me feel the anger and frustration and then confusion added to my feelings.

"Well, I think it is better to see when our dinner will arrive and to make sure there is extra for us." I said standing up while she sat there.

"What?" she asked, but I shook my head.

"I will go to the main house." I replied and she too stood up with a message that she will come with me.

"You can rest here." I pointed out, but she waved me off and within a few minutes we are sitting in the living room waiting for Maha.

"James? Is everything fine?" Maha's voice reached us and I shook my head, feeling angry at her too.

"Just wanted to ask when can we have the dinner delivered. Grandma has her food early." I explained and she frowned.

"Where is Di?" she asked, but then glanced at Grandma and I frowned back at her question.

"What am I asking and what are you saying?" I questioned back and she just shook her head.

"She knows about Di?" she asked in a whisper pointing at my Grandma and I nodded to which she sighed in relief.

"Food delivered? But why?" Grandma asked in between.

"When these both were in accident Di hired a cook for the meals to be delivered." Maha replied and she nodded with a frown.

"But we cancelled him today and Di said she will cook the dinner." She immediately added glancing at Grandma.

"Maha!" I said in a warning tone for her lie while she frowned at me.

Why did she lie about Swathi cooking food today for dinner when we all know she doesn't know how to? Is it like to get my Grandma's approval for her sister?

"It's true!" she said like she can understand my thoughts.

"She is not here and left a few hours back." I explained to her not wishing to call her a liar right out.

"Oh! Then I will cook for all of us." She offered, but I shook my head in negative.

"You talked to Di, right?" she asked, frowning and suddenly all words uttered by Swathi again entered my head.

"No need for that. I will take Grandma and Tina for dinner outside." I said and her eyes widened.

"No! You can't do that." She protested and Grandma too frowned at me.

"I don't want you to tire yourself." I said and turned away to look at Grandma ignoring any more protests from Maha.

"What about Di?" she asked and I turned around to look at the door thinking she must have returned.

"I mean, when she returns." She continued but I just stood there.

"I forgot to give you what that old man sent, didn't I? I will go and bring it." Grandma uttered all words, making me feel confused but she walked away.

"James! Di and I both know why Tina is here and if you go out with Tina but without Di even though with Grandma's presence, it will hurt her." Maha calmly said while I looked at her.

"When did you start lying, Maha? Or was it from the beginning? I should have known that already, right? With you lying that I am your boyfriend and everything in the beginning." I said and she frowned with clear confusion.

"I don't know what you are talking about." She said and I snorted.

"Just now you lied saying your sister is going to prepare dinner and then you..." I stopped my words but she laughed.

"I didn't lie about that." She said, but her words didn't get registered thinking of her betrayal to Nakul.

"Then what about other lies?" I asked and she frowned again.

"I don't have any idea what you are talking about except that you are in a very bad mood. I just want to say don't hurt my sister doing this." She replied, but I stepped back with more confusion.

She genuinely looks confused by my words, but how could she no know that her Dad died in the accident too? I mean, she was eight years if the calculation is correct during the accident, then why can't she? How can she not know?

I wanted to scream right then and there with all these questions. After Swathi said that Maha's Dad died in the accident, I thought Maha was playing a big game or some other motive to not share it with me while preventing the ruin of Nakul in the beginning.

I even felt betrayed along with guilt thinking I pushed Nakul into more dangerous territory. Because no matter what Swtahi showed open contempt, but Maha is like a silent killer.

All these thoughts were there while thinking she hid the news with a motive, but here she looks confused.

"Maheshwari! Take this." Grandma's voice brought me out of all my thoughts to see her placing a parcel in Maha's hands.

"He said there are two things in that and even said there is a letter for you." She added and Maha nodded with a frown but took it.

"We will go then?" I asked Grandma and she slowly nodded, making Maha stare at both of us.

"I will go and call Tina." Maha said with an anger expression.

"I already did and she is coming downstairs." This explanation stopped her from moving.

She just stood there when Tina walked towards us and didn't move even after we three walked away. I took them to a restaurant little far from the house while showing everything to them.

"The place is definitely hot." Tina commented and I nodded while stopping near the restaurant.

"Tina! There is something you need to know." Grandma started making Tina and I look at each other.

"I already know, Grandma. James explained everything to me." Tina soothed her while receiving a relief expression in return.

We spent some time before returning to the house and saw Tina immediately rushing inside while Grandma stayed near the car making me frown at her.

However, after a few minutes I understood when Tina returned with the bag in her hands. She smiled at me and passed the bag.

"Grandma! You will not feel comfortable here." I pointed out which she waved off making Tina laugh.

"This is the house that comes through your job and as your grandmother I have to be here. But it is too small, so Tina will be in the main house." She explained and Tina waved to us before returning to the house.

"Your wish!" I mumbled and glanced at the parking lot to see Swathi's car.

We both walked into the house only to stop in tracks to see Swathi curled up on the cot lying in the living room. I glanced at Grandma to see her shaking her head.

"You can go into the room and sleep." I said and started to move, but she pulled the bag back into her hands.

"No! For both of you this one will not be comfortable to sleep in." she said and I frowned at her words.

"I will find something else." I mumbled, but she shook her head.

"Well, take her to the room." She ordered and when I didn't move her hand moved to hold my ear and I immediately walked to the cot.

I slowly lifted Swathi up not making sudden moments to disturb her sleep, but when I took one step she opened her eyes and screamed.

"Put me down!" she ordered and started pushing my shoulders.

"Swathi! I am not doing anything." I shouted as her moments are making me lose my balance.

"I said put me down." She repeated and I immediately did after which she stepped away from me as if I am some poisonous snake and frowned at Grandma.

"She wants to sleep here." I explained.

"You are not staying in that house?" Swathi asked her while she got a frown in return.

"No! And you both go and sleep. I want to have my peaceful sleep." Grandma ordered, but Swathi just stood there with stubborn look.

"I will go there, then." Swathi said, to which she got a smile in return making me frown though.

"No! I do not care what you both decide to stay married for how long and all. But until the divorce, you both are married and married people stay in a single house and in a single room. Unless we are at our island where you would have got your own room as per tradition but it is not. So, both of you walk to your room." Grandma ordered at again while Swathi stood not moving again and as for me, I am cursing myself to have these two stubborn women in life.

"Swathi!" I finally said, feeling tired myself to which she didn't look at me, but walked to the room with a stiff back and Grandma smiled at me.

"Don't worry, James! I will help you like this no matter what." She said and I gave her a big confused look.

"What?" I asked, not understanding her words, but she pointed making my legs move into the room.

The closed door when Grandma switched off her light as ours is still on with the need to change first.

But glanced at the bed to see her lying the bed completely in the corner, pressed to the wall as if glued to it with her back to me.

I freshened up and lay beside her, feeling all the energy drained out of me, but with more questions than today morning.

One major one regarding Maha and another with this woman beside me. What happened to her suddenly? These two months she was behind me, but now acting as if she would be able to breathe if I am not near her.

Is it because Grandma brought Tina here to get me married? But our marriage was a secret which got revealed and that's all, right? Then why?

With all those questions I tried to sleep, but hell I just couldn't and then the pictures entered my head. What if they are photoshop? But if you don't know Nakul then you wouldn't know who is the person in the pictures. It is difficult to do a photoshop of such pictures too.

I groaned and moved with frustration only to get my hands touched to her back. I moved them away immediately, but saw her going stiff.

I realized two things that she is awake and she is not comfortable with even slight touch from me. But why? I thought and glanced at the hand over her hip to see a bracelet.

Why is she sleeping wearing that? She always removes everything right, but except the beaded necklace while sleeping. Maybe she forgot! I thought and stared at her back.

"Swathi!" I called her, but she didn't reply and I sighed, closing my eyes to sleep.

After a few hours I finally was bale to sleep, but woke up in the morning to see the place empty where she slept.

"I went to the main house to get freshen up and Maheshwari sent breakfast for us." Grandma said the moment I walked into the living room and saw her having her food.

"Where is Swathi?" I asked her, but she shook her head.

I sat down and started serving myself while she sighed saying, "I shouldn't have brought Tina here without telling you."

"I am glad you did, Grandma. I was planning to talk to her from the time you talked about her when I got into an accident." I replied honestly making her frown and she glanced away only to see her eyes widen.

"Maha said she sent the breakfast. Is there anything you need?" I heard the voice and turned to see Swathi not staring at me.

"Where are you going?" that's the reply she got from Grandma and Swathi replied saying office.

"On Sunday?" I asked her frowning beating the other.

"I have work which I ignored for several weeks." She replied, but still didn't glance at me.

"What work do you do?" Grandma asked and for a few minutes she asked questions about work while Swathi answered and I sipped my coffee.

"So, you both are not suitable for our family business of ship making. Anyway, give me a grandchild who will be into it." These words made me cough while Swathi's eyes widened.

"Grandma!" I hissed while Swathi just left the house, making the person who said those words laugh.

"You both looked like I am asking your kidneys to be sold." She said and continued to ask while I just shook my head at her.

I sat in the chair with the pictures before me and just stared at them. Why so many thoughts at a time when I was supposed to concentrate on the main issue here?

Why is Swathi so distant suddenly? I thought and looked away before glancing at the pictures Mr. Sathish gave us.

Did Swathi see these and that's why she was so hell bent to destroy Nakul? Well, showing these to a daughter who lost her mom could have effects. What about Maha? Right! First, I need to know whether she even knew about her father's death or was she lied about it. But why would anyone do that?

I narrowed my eyes observing the picture taken closely to see Nakul was too close to the steering wheel like his chest pressed to it. 

Maybe because he couldn't reach it from the car seat. But why can't he remember all this? The answers sure lie with his grandpa, but he is not giving them. I feel like we both forgot about something which is obvious using our emotions. Some main thing which we all know but not remembering this moment.

I frowned lifting the picture and stared at it, but then suddenly I froze in the moment of moving in my chair. There is... there is someone in the car. Yes! This is obvious that someone is there and there should be with his mother also dying in this. But... but this is something else, than we expected. I took my mobile and started dialing the person I need to be here for this work.

*Maheshwari Pov*

"Nakul!" I whispered, moving my hand to brush his hair and then placed the hand on his cheek while he continued to sleep.

He didn't wake up at all by himself, but I made sure he had his dinner at least by waking him and he did still sleepy.

It's like he doesn't want to be awake and I am feeling scared of his state. What happened yesterday for him to be like this?

"I love you! Do you?" he suddenly whispered, opening his eyes and I fell over him to hug him tightly.

"What happened to you?" I asked, but he just hugged me back and I felt like assuring of something but I don't know what.

"I will always love you." I said, moving my head to stare at him.

"No matter what?" he asked and I nodded, showing the assurance with actions after the words using the kiss.

"Now, you will get up and have a bath. While I bring your favorite breakfast." I said, moving away to brush my tears.

"I am not being a good host for our guests, right?" he asked and I smiled, shaking my head to which he narrowed his eyes.

"Grandma is staying with James only while Tina is fine to be left out. Anyway, I spent all morning until now with her and she went to her room to take a rest." I explained and left the room.

I returned with the tray while he just walked out of the washroom lost in his thoughts. I had to keep my shyness away seeing him in just a towel with worry replacing it.

"Nakul!" I called and he nodded before wearing clothes, but I already turned away to put the tray on the table.

"When did you bought that?" he asked, walking near to me with his eyes on my hand.

"Grandma brought it, but it was given by your grandpa. One for me and one for Di." I replied, but omitted the remaining.

I was shocked to see these two with similar design, but just the stone color different and his letter was more of a shock.

I am trusting your words when I met you in the office. So, I am near to the truth and will try to capture it before it can hurt anyone else. However, make sure you wear one and also Swathi one in the two bracelet's I sent. This is for your own protection and regarding letting Nakul or James know about it then it is your wish. Another thing is, the danger may have shifted from Nakul but it dropped on someone else who could be his weakness and I am sure you know who that could be. Again, you can share this too, but you also know how he will react if he knows this. Just make sure about the ornament and I will try to be there soon with everything solved. In the meantime, make sure everyone is safe not giving anyone a chance to hurt anyone of you.

I immediately want to tell Nakul or James all this, but then I saw the state of Nakul. I don't know what happened, but I know it will go worse if I tell this with him worrying every second.

And James the way he acted yesterday as if I am some vamp along with his actions towards Di questioned my wish and step back.

When Di returned from work and directly came here, I immediately gave her the ornament saying never to remove it making her eyes question me.

So, I ended up confessing just that we all are in danger and Grandpa wished for our both safety. We both observed them to see some kind of speaker and it is some technical thing.

"Like a tracker?" she asked and I nodded guessing the same.

However, when she asked about Grandma, I couldn't help but reveal James dinner plan making her go stiff.

I assured her that Grandma is with them, but she just shook her head with a smile saying it doesn't matter.

Of course it matters and it should matter when she loves him. I never thought James would do some stupid things like this. Of course it must have been surprised for him too with Tina being here, but I can't help but think about Grandma's words of his reply for the marriage thing.

"Did you take my job of being lost?" I heard a voice and glanced up to see Nakul staring at me.

I smiled at him and the day passed slowly with him still little lost, but I tried as much as I can to make him talk or do something along with making him watch the movie.

Cooking for everyone also made me spend some time and I didn't see James or Di which is explained by Grandma about them being lost in their work.

Nakul talked to both of them during lunch time and also at dinner time with Di present with us except James.

"He is always like that. If he has some work, then he just forgets everything." Grandma complained, looking at Di who is just looking at her plate.

"Even my sister is like that." I said making Di frown at me while Tina chuckled.

"No wonder they married each other." She commented with a smile and Di's scrutiny turned to her making Tina flush.

"I didn't mean anything." Tina added, but Di kept silent, making me worry because Di never stayed this silent.

"Hello?" Nakul said, lifting the call with a frown and immediately stood up hearing the response from the other side.

"I will be there." Saying that he hung up and glanced at me for a second before leaving without another word.

"I am the odd one out because I never can get too involved in work with so much going around in my head." I said and Tina laughed along with Grandma while Di smiled.

I don't know how and when but I drifted off into sleep while waiting for Nakul but suddenly woke up feeling him lying over me with his lips touching my cheek.

"Nakul?" I asked, frowning and cleared my throat feeling sleepy, but his kisses just made sure the sleep leave my body.

"What happened?" I asked when his actions grew more intense and I gasped while he stayed silent.

"Nakul!" I whispered and he stopped any words drinking them away with his lips and finally lifted his head to stare at me.

I can see his features relaxed unlike from yesterday afternoon and there is a smile to which I smiled back, tracing his lips with a finger as if touching his smile.

"What actually happened?" I asked again and he smiled more.

"Nothing happened!" he finally replied and again bent his head to kiss the life out of me while I forgot to say or ask anything else and got myself lost with a happiness that has no reason sweeping inside.
