Chapter 3

"I would like to apologise."

His words startle me at first, but I turn toward Levi. "Huh?"

"I was, ah, reflecting and just realised I..."

Uh oh. Now I'm kind of worried. Levi didn't spike the water I ordered did he?!

"...what?" I ask quietly.

I don't know if it was just the afternoon light coming in through the small window but I could have sworn I saw a light pink dusting his cheeks.

"During the turbulence. My face sort of...invaded your genitals."

I can't help but laugh out loud, startling more than just the Levi beside me. "That's what you're stressing about? I had already forgotten about that!"

"No hard feelings then?"

"Nope."

"I don't know about that..." Levi mumbles, quickly glancing at my lap before facing away from me.

"What? I didn't hear you?" I lean in closer.

"Oh, nothing." Well, now I really wanted to know.

"Come on! You can't leave me hanging like that."

Levi sighs. "You say there's no hard feelings...When I had fallen on you, what I felt...was the complete opposite."

"Oh. So you're saying you hated me from the start?" I felt kind of offended. If he hated me he didn't need to point it out, sheesh.

Levi grabs the bridge of his nose. "Tch. No! I'm saying the member in your pants definitely had hard feelings!"

It takes me a moment but Levi's words finally get processed and my mouth forms an 'o'.

"Well, now that I had to explain it, it's not funny. I was trying to be clever." Levi complains, pouting his lip and crossing his arms.

I blink a few times and feel heat rise to my face. The more my mind lingered on Levi's previous words, the more embarrassed...and flustered I felt.

I shift uncomfortably, averting my gaze so I could no longer see the man beside me. With what felt like minutes of me just listening to the planes engine passing, I feel a light tap on my shoulder.

I look over at Levi, slightly surprised. "Hm?"

Staring back at me, Levi points a thumb at the seat in front of him. "Want to watch a movie?"

I smile, but shake my head. "I would, but I left my credit card in the bag I checked in." I shrug, knowing you had to pay.

Levi rolls his eyes. "Tch. I meant do you want to watch a movie...with me. On my screen. Together."

Oh.

I stare at the man with wide eyes, my gaze snapping between him and the small screen. I feel a smile beginning to tug at my lips.

"Sure, Levi. I'd love to!" Since the armrests between seats didn't exactly move, it took me a moment to find a decent position where I could see the small screen to my right.

Though, that position involved my head resting atop Levi's shoulder, but I doubt he minded.

"Horror, comedy or...romance?"

"Hmm. How about horror? Thats always fun." I reply.

Levi hums beside me. Before picking some random horror movie the plane had to offer. Just like most, it started off with an oblivious brunette having no clue what she was about to get herself into.

Maybe it was due to the plane's steady rocking, or that Levi's shoulder was extremely comfy, but I felt tiredness begin to overtake me.

I refused to let my eyes close; I wanted to spend a bit more time talking to Levi....

So for the remainder of the movie, I stayed in that blank state between sleep and consciousness.

That is until I felt something rubbing gently against the top of my head. I tense only to realize...the man I was leaning on was combing his fingers through my hair.

I didn't dare move. I'd never admit it out loud but I didn't want him to stop.

I relax into his shoulder, as best I could that is, before closing my eyes and finally falling into a decent nap.

*.*.*.*

"-id! Kid, uh, Eren! Wake up!"

"Hm?" I sit up slowly, looking at Levi through squinted eyes. "how long was I out?" I mumble, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

Though I didn't need him to answer after my gaze snapped to the rest of the plane.

"The rest of the flight."

My eyes widen. The plane was practically empty and flight attendants were giving confused glances in our direction. "Shit! Sorry, I-I..."

I shake my head, hurriedly unbuckling my seatbelt. I slide out into the isle with my backpack, slowly making my way to the front of the landed plane.

"Don't worry about it. Not like I'm looking forward to work anyway." With a sigh, the shorter male stands up as well, stepping out into the isle to grab a single briefcase from the overhead carriers.

"What do you do for work anyway? I mean, you said you came to France on business, but..."

Levi is quick to dismiss me. "It's nothing important. Really."

I shrug. Eh, was worth a shot.

By now the two of us had made it off of the plane and had just stepped foot in France's airport.

Even though this is nothing in comparison to the country itself I still looked around, excited to be here.

I feel a tap on my shoulder and turn to Levi who had done so.

"Uh." The shorter man held out a small piece of paper, folded nicely. "You...dropped this."

"Oh, I did? Thanks!" I accept the paper with a smile. Never seen this in my life. Must just be a piece of trash that happened to fall out of my bag.

"Thanks for keeping me company on the plane, kid."

"You too!" I smile and wave as Levi walks off, disappearing into the busy crowd of the airport.

Slowly, my smile starts to fade. How did I manage to get attached to someone in such a short amount of time? It actually hurts a little to think I'd most likely never see him again.

I look down at the paper he had handed me. Guess I should throw this away. Though as I walk up to the nearest trash bin, I cant help but let curiosity overcome me.

With a shrug I unfold the small piece of paper, gasping. Holy shit! I almost threw this away!  I quickly glance around the airport from where I stood, hoping to catch a glimpse of Levi. Sadly, he was no where in sight.

I look down at the paper once more with a smile. He gave me...his number!

Even though we said our goodbyes, I have a feeling I'll be seeing Levi a lot sooner than I thought....
