✨ 2 ✨

The sound of his alarm clock echoed in the whole room indicating it was already 1pm. Woojin groaned and grumbled in protest, as he didn't manage to sleep as much as he wished, plus the fact that yesterday's patrolling sucked completely.

Slowly, his eyes opened, hissing a little at how bright the bedroom was. Perfect... his tired ass forgot to shut the curtains when he arrived yesterday. He couldn't blame himself though, the only thing his body was capable of was to get rid of the hunting wardrobe and take a quick shower. He didn't even brush his teeth or did his night routine.

Sighing for the hundredth time in the span of five minutes, Woojin stretched all his limbs properly, hearing the satisfying pops here and there, as he finally stood up. Wearing his slippers and making sure his phone is plugged in to charge, he dragged his existence to the bathroom in order to get ready for the one class -thank God- he had to attend today.

Even though it was only one class, it was a lecture and one of the most boring ones. Not because of the concept, as history of music during the 19th-20th century was interesting enough, however the professor was boring as hell, completely ruining, for many, the potential to like the subject. Even like that, somehow, Woojin maintained his high scores everytime. Don't ask him, he himself doesn't know as well, but maybe Mr. Park, has taken a liking towards him for some reason. A reason the 25 year old didn't care enough to know.

At last! The lecture was over, after 3 long painful hours Kim Woojin was hungry and was in need of a quick snack, since the canteen would be closed by now. Unfortunately though, as he was about to gain his freedom, the professor's voice shuttered his dreams.

"Mr. Kim, I need your assistance please."
The voice of the 50 year old man pierced his ears, legs halting on the spot.

"Yes mr. Park?""
Woojin smiled politely, eyes closed. Once the professor gestured him to approach be didn't wait even a second longer. The man, then, proceeded to walk outside of the auditorium, to his office where someone was waiting outside of it already.

"Ah, mr. Bang, there you are."

Not even before his brain registered the situation, his mouth already had already voiced the thought.

"Chan?"

Woojin stared in shock, eyes opened wide at the sight in front of him. He couldn't believe it, the boy he had seen just yesterday, not even 24h ago, was here, only this time no beanie and no mask, just a white thin long-sleeved shirt with something written in English, a pair of black sweatpants, sneakers and a bag that crossed his left shoulder.

"Woojin? Is that really you? Wow, you go to this uni as well?"
Chan sounded shocked although more happy, if the smile decorating hsj pale face wasn't enough of a proof.

"I, uh-..."

"Oh, you know each other already? Splendid, mr. Kim, mr. Bang here just passed his exams and was placed in your semester, so please show him around and help him adjust."
Mr. Park quickly spoke with a light tone in his voice, definitely more lively than his monote one he uses in his lectures.

Eyes still frozen at the sight, Woojin nodded without uttering a single word, only a hum to emphasize his answer.

"Awesome, you two are dismissed then."
And just like that, smiling brightly, the man walked inside his office, leaving the two boys alone.

For a few moments, that seemed like eternity, none of them said anything, but eventually, Woojin broke the silence and gestured to Chan to follow him.

"Oh wow, I never would have thought you go to this university and follow the same course as I do."
Chan smiled, eyes on the guy on his left who clearly looked as if millions of thoughts were running inside his head. The blond didn't comment on that fortunately.

"Yeah, same Chan, same."
Was the only reply the newcomer received. Oh boy, what had Woojin gotten himself in to?

...

One hour later, clock now showing 5:15pm, the brown haired had showed and explained the most basic things around the uni in order for Chan to not get lost. At the same time, Woojin kept observing carefully, every detail about the other he could catch, without getting caught.

You could call him weird, get he really couldn't take this hunting habbit away. Now with the absence of the facemask, Woojin observed all the facial features, such as how red his lips were in contrast with the skin, plus they were full and heartshaped while at the same time he realized that be might have been working out based from his exposed calves.

Everything looked normal except one small thing, the fangs. Now, how did he manage to catch that detail from the one time Chan had smiled at the fullest, once again it was his hunter observation skills. Afterall, there as a reason why he was this good at his job, not to brag or anything, Kim Woojin was a humble man and knew his worth, but would never advertise himself as the best of the best to anyone... Ok maybe once or twice... ok maybe a little bit more but only to his team and nobody else.

Chan's fangs, to a normal human being, they would be considered as if nature had gifted him with a little sharper than normal teeth, however in an expert hunter's eyes, these most likely belonged to a vampire. The brown haired was 99% sure of it, but that didn't stop him to keep that 1% as a benefit of the doubt, you never knew! And always, no matter how much you know your job or not, you must double and triple check for further clues that check on the list of
'This person is 100% a vampire hands down'.

The list consisted of the following:

1) Basic vampire apperance, pale skin, fangs
2) Significantly colder to the touch
3) Less appetite to eat (vampires mostly require blood, so they don't need too much of the human food)
4) Eye colour change
5) Unusually strong or fast

In Woojin's mind, if someone met at least 3 out of the 5 criteria, then it was definitely a vampire who must be caught in the act and be eliminated from the face of the earth.

So far, only the first of the criteria applied to Bang Chan, however, it will be very soon that the hunter will know for sure whether he is or not. Give it at least a week of proper observation. Until then, pretend you know nothing and keep the friendly appearance so no one suspects anything.

"Say Chan, are you hungry? I was thinking to call my friends to hung out and eat you know."
Said Woojin a little out of nowhere, startling the blond out of his zone out phase. He waited for the answer patiently.

"Uhm sure, of course, but I just ate before I arrive so I'll just most likely drink something if you don't mind."
Bang Chan replied with a bright beautiful smile.

...'Huh, beautiful? What?'

...

"I'm Seungmin, this is Changbin and Minho. I also go to university but in the other one nearby, nice to meet you Chan hyung."
The youngest introduced everyone as soon as he knew that Woojin was bringing company with him, something the rest of the group wasn't used to see from the oldest.

"Oh, nice to meet you guys."
The blond smiled, but not with teeth shown this time, just a small one, a little awkward too.

"I'm hungry!"
Changbin groaned loudly earning a glare from the oldest and if looks could kill he would be buried 10m down already.

"So, tell us about you Chan hyung."
Minho smiled, ignoring the others completely. Fortunately, Chan seemed to relax a bit, so he started talking about his life in his hometown before he arrived in Korea.

...

The day ended with Chan and Minho exchanging numbers to casually talk from time to time. The hunter didn't know that at first until his friend told him way later, long after the new one was gone and honestly he kinda felt a tiny ting in the pit of his stomach. Woojin ignored it and dismissed it as nothing serious.

Moving on, today his squad didn't have a patrolling shift and they could all relax before tomorrow's big one. Woojin on the other hand kept thinking about his interactions with a certain blond boy.
