Chapter 3: We Ain't Got Nothing But Time (2/3)
Onaga Katsumi, that was her friends name. They met the summer before school started up, they promised to stay in touch. So when the time came, they were still friends. It wasn't until halfway through the school year, did (Y/n) start to notice Onaga's boyfriend.
She had noticed that he was always staring at her, and she had to admit that he was pretty attractive. So she confronted him about the stares, when her friend wasn't around of course. She did enjoy having her as a friend, she was one of the first friends that she's had in a while.
"Listen, don't think I haven't noticed you checking me out," her hands were placed on her hips as she glared at him. "Can you stay out of any girl's pants? I've heard so many things about you, and I hope you know that I won't be as ea-"
"The next thing I know, his tongue is in my mouth and I'm enjoying it a bit too much for my sanity," she thinks back to that moment. "It wasn't even that good of a kiss if I think about it know."
"Wait, you're telling me, that you were the other woman. And he was dating your best friend?" Kid laughs as she nods. "You really aren't the kind of girl I expected you to be."
"I cussed at you sighing the first five minutes of meeting you," she pulls her wounded leg up to her chest. "What kind of girl did you expect me to be?"
"A bitch," he gives her a smirk, "But not a bad one. Just a bitch."
"I'm bad because I was the other woman?" she shakes her head. "That's not even the worst part..."
Three months after (Y/n) and Onaga's boyfriend started to secretly date each other, Onaga started to complain that he never touched her. That he never told her he loved her anymore and that they don't kiss that often either.
(Y/n) listened to her problems and offered advice to her, but she knew exactly why he did those things. It's because he was getting everything he needed from the (h/c)-haired woman, he didn't need to sweet talk her anymore.
"Hold on," Kid leans forward and stares into her eyes. "You're telling me... that you had sex with him while he was dating-"
"Can you let me finish my story?" she rolls her eyes before she sighs out and nods. "It was only blowjobs and that sort of things... never any penetration or anything... but yeah. You could say that."
"Wow, you're dirty," he laughs as he leans back. "So, you still a virgin then?"
"No, can I finish? You honestly need to shut up before I-" she stops dead in her tracks and brushes a (h/c) strand behind her ear. "I didn't loose my virginity until prom."
They found out that Onaga was going to move away, so they all decided to go to prom as a junior. A few more of Onaga's friends tagged along, so it made it easy for (Y/n) and her boyfriend to sneak off together. They went out to his car and took off to a secluded place for a few minutes.
They wanted to talk privately in a place no one could find them, it was his idea. That should've been the first red flag, but at the time (Y/n) thought that she was in love with him, "Rule number one, don't fall in love with your friends boyfriend and then sneak off with him at prom."
"Well, no duh," he crunches on a roll. "You must've really been stupid back then."
"I was. Because rule number two is to make sure that you don't give each other hickeys in noticeable places," she nods as he starts to laugh and mumble some degrading comments about her. "It was bad, she broke up with him the next day. And then she wouldn't talk to me, at all. She'd even ignore me. It's not like I cared. I didn't even care when the rumors around school started to get out, in the yearbook, I'm known as the girl who slept around with the most guys at prom."
"Really? How many did you sleep with at your senior prom?" he folds his arms and looks intently at her.
"None, I didn't even go to prom my senior year," she laughs. "There were just too much memories about the previous year, plus it wasn't even worth the price."
"How long did you and the woman's boyfriend last after she broke up with him?" he grabs a bottle of water from the coffee table.
"A month," she shakes her head. "I was the one who broke it off with him as well. But it's not because he was cheating or anything. No, I just found out that he wasn't the type of person I was looking for."
"Really? And what kind of person is that?" she send him a raised eyebrow before he laughs. "I'm not asking because I want to know if I have a chance. I'm just asking because I'm curious."
"Well... he has to have a sense of humor, he has to be self-confident because I can't be the one who tells him to man up, he needs to let me do what I want and have faith in me that I can do it without any help," she watches his hands as he twists off the cap. The cracking sound of the plastic jolting her back into reality. "I just want someone who is tough, but knows that it's okay to show a weak side as well. It's hard to explain, I know you won't understand."
"No, I do," he acts like he's going through the list again before he nods. "Sounds exactly like me."
"Oh come on!" she punches him in the shoulder. "It is not!"
"How do you know?" he laughs and rubs his arm. "You don't know anything about me."
"Then tell me. I told you something about me, it's your turn," she leans back and stares at him.
"How much time do you have?" he laughs before moving his hair out of his face.
"Kid, we ain't got nothing but time," she smiles at him, remember he said the exact same words earlier.
