"My asthma's back. I'm not sure how, but it came back. Just as bad as it used to be. So now, I keep my inhaler on me all the time, just like I used to. And it's been five days. We haven't seen any new Chimeras, and we haven't seen the Dread Doctors. We all go to school, pretending like nothing's happened, but everyone seems to know. You just walk down the halls and no one's smiling. No one's laughing. You get the feeling that everyone can sense that something's coming. They just don't know what it is, or how bad it's going to be. Every time I feel like I should do something about it, I find myself reaching for my inhaler... Like, I'm going to take a hit of it, and-and come up with some brilliant solution on how to save everyone... But I don't know what to do. I don't think anyone does. Maybe that's why no one's really talking to each other. Sometimes, we don't even notice each other. But, I think some of us are okay with that... Because not talking makes it easier to keep secrets. And I don't know if anyone's really lying about things-- maybe it's more like lies of omission. Maybe the worst lie is to Stilinski... Because no one's told him about Parrish yet. Then again, no one's told Parrish, either. He doesn't seem to remember taking the bodies, and we think that he's only really dangerous if you try to get in his way. If Stilinski knew the truth, he'd definitely get in his way. So, Lydia and Stiles are trying to find the bodies, which means finding the Nemeton. They're driving around, searching all of the woods... But the last time that we found this thing, three of us had almost drowned in ice water. We're not the only one's looking for Chimeras-- Stilinski's got everyone looking for the next target, questioning anyone who's a genetic Chimera. Anyone who's got two sets of DNA. No one really knows what they're looking for. Some think it's a serial killer. Some probably know it's worse. The two Chimeras that we know about, Hayden and Corey? They're both doing okay. Actually, better than okay. They're healing faster and getting stronger. They don't need our help... And I don't think they'd want it, anyway. I still haven't heard from Kira, and I'm getting more and more worried about Deaton. I know something's coming. And all I can think about is... How good am I going to be if I can't even breathe?" Scott puts down his inhaler on to the table at the animal clinic.

"You sound like you're trying to apologize." Theo says
"You came back looking for an Alpha. I guess I'm sorry that you found me." Scott says
"I'm not sorry." He says and Rayne squeezes his hand.

"You still want to be part of the pack?" Scott asks
"Scott, I'm with you-- for better or worse." Theo says
"Trust me... There's gonna be worse." Scott says.

"I'm counting on it."

"You guys are sure that's where Parrish is taking the bodies?" Theo asks as him, Stiles and Rayne walk into the library
"Lydia says that's what happens in his dream." Stiles says.
"I mean, you know, if Lydia finds the Nemeton, she's also going to find Donovan..." Theo says and Rayne gives him a look
"Sorry." He says.

"She's also going to find Josh." Rayne says
"You know what? Maybe she should. I think things are different now for Scott-- especially after what he did to Corey. I don't think he's going to blame us for defending ourselves. I know he won't blame you." Theo says and Stiles turns around.

"Are you okay, Stiles?" Rayne asks.

"I'm fine." He says.

Rayne sat on the bleachers when Brett sat down next to her
"Why haven't you been answering my texts and calls?" He asks
"I've been busy with chimera stuff." Rayne sighs.

"What did you want to talk to be about?" Brett asks her
"It's- it's about Theo." She says
"I'm guessing another reason why you haven't been answering." He says and she nods.

"I am dating him." She says and she turns to him
"I'm sorry." She says and he holds her hand
"Why would you be sorry? I'm happy for you." Brett says.

"You are?" She asks
"As long as you are happy. I'm happy." He says and then turns to her.

"Besides, I'll will always wait for you." He says and Rayne goes to say something when they hear an ambulance.

Rayne and Brett rush out to the front when they see Corey on a stretcher getting into an ambulance with mercury coming out of his mouth and Rayne turns to Mason who has mercury on his face.

"He just started bleeding everywhere. I don't." Mason panics and Rayne wraps her arms around him in support
"Don't let them do it! Don't let them kill me!" Corey screams and Scott and Theo walk out.

"Scott, we have to follow them. We gotta protect him, right?" Theo asks Scott
"Scott, come on. Scott?" He repeats
"Scott, this is what you do." He says and Scott nods and they turn to Rayne.

"I'm gonna help Mason clean up and we will meet you, okay?" She says and they nod and go to Theo's car.

"Come on." Rayne whispers and leads him the girl's locker room with Brett
"He's gonna die isn't he?" Mason asks and Rayne and Brett look at each other
"We have to have hope." She says and he looks at her.

"Really?" He asks and Rayne sighs.

"No." She says and they both look at her.

"Hope is bullshit. People say it to make it seem like everything will be okay. It's not. People die. All the time and sometimes we love those people. We love them so much and we ask ourselves over and over 'why?' And sometimes there is no reason. It can be because of someone, something." Rayne says as she cleans him up.

"And when they do it's gonna hurt. You will feel like shit and your whole world is crumbling. The thing is though is that because you know everything, you have people who have been through the same thing. I didn't. When Erica died and when Aiden died." She says.

"You have us. You have me. If you want to talk or cry about it to me, you can. Or if you want to be left alone for all eternity, that's fine as well." She says and Mason chuckles with tears in eyes
"I'm really scared." He admits
"I know. It's okay." She says and hugs him.

Rayne walks into the boy's locker room to get Mason a shirt when they see her dad and Theo
"This awkward." Rayne says.

"What are you doing here?" Her dad asks
"To get Mason a shirt before we go to the hospital." She says and then looks at Theo
"I'm guessing he didn't make it?" She asks and they both nod.

"Shit." She sighs.

"So, what's going on here?" She asks
"I just wanted to talk to Theo about you." Noah says
"About me?" Rayne asks.

"I barely see you so..." He says and she nods and gets a shirt for Mason
"I'll break the news and I will start looking for Hayden."
"I'll come with you." Theo says and she nods.

"Bye dad." She says and walks out the locker room.

"Why didn't you tell her?" Theo asks her dad
"Because she deserves a happy relationship that doesn't end in misery or betrayal." He says
"Even if that means lying to her?" Theo asks.

"Especially then."

"I'm so sorry." Rayne says hugging Mason
"I think I'm just gonna have some time." Mason says and Rayne nods
"If you ever need me just call." She says and he nods.

She then walks out of the locker room and Theo rushes to her
"I think I know where they are." He says
"Key?" Rayne asks him and he smiles and throws her the keys and they rush to his car.

Rayne and Theo ran into the Sinema where the Dread Doctors were attacking
"Run, Hayden! Run!" Liam shouts and Scott begins to fight them as well as Liam
"Get Hayden out of here. Go!" Theo says to Liam and him and Rayne fight.
"Hayden? Hayden! Hayden!" Liam shouts as they fight.

Rayne gets launched on the ground as a Dread Doctor holds Theo up and throws him to the floor and leaves them there. Theo starts to get up, holding his hand out to help Rayne
"Where's Hayden?" Scott asks them and they rush where they are.

"I'm okay. Really, I think I'm okay." Hayden says
"I saw the needle go in, and her eyes just filled up with mercury. They turned completely silver." Liam says to them
"She looks okay. Maybe she'll heal." Theo says.

"Or maybe she won't..." Rayne says
"What if something's happening to her on the inside?" Liam asks
"Get them to the animal clinic. I'll meet you there." Scott says.

🪐

Theo drives them as Rayne sits in the passenger seat
"Keep her awake. I don't think it's a good idea for her to fall asleep." Theo says
"Hayden? Hayden, you gotta stay awake." Liam says
"I'm so tired..." Hayden whispers.

"Yeah, I know, but you can't go to sleep." He says.

"How do we help her?" Liam asks
"I don't know. When it's wolfsbane poisoning, you burn it out... But I don't know anything about mercury-- especially a kind that's probably been altered by them." Theo says
"Is she going to heal?" Liam asks.

"The problem is, she's not really like us Liam. None of them. They're more like... cheap knock-offs. She might not be as strong as we are, or heal like we do. She's not a real Werewolf." Theo says
"What if we turn her into one?" Liam asks
"Nice idea... Except you and I can't do that." Theo says and Liam turns to Rayne.

"I can't, I'm learning about this. I've never bitten anyone." Rayne says
"But Scott has."
"I'm gonna wait for Scott." Rayne says and they nod and go into the animal clinic.

Scott then gets to the animal clinic
"They're inside." Rayne says and he nods
"We're waiting for Stiles." Scott says emotionless and Rayne nods and Stiles gets there.

"Hey, sorry... I had trouble starting the Jeep again-- that thing's barely hanging on. I couldn't get in touch with Malia or Lydia..." Stiles says and he looks at him to see Scott holding a wrench
"Scott? Where did you get that?" He asks and Rayne stands beside him.

"This is yours?" Scott asks and Stiles stays quiet
"Why didn't you tell me?" He asks
"I was going to..." Stiles says.

"No, but why didn't you tell me when it happened?" Scott asks
"I couldn't." He says
"You killed him? You killed Donovan?" Scott says.

"Well, he was going to kill my dad. Huh? Was I supposed to just let him?" Stiles asks
"You weren't supposed to do this. None of us are." Scott says and glances at Rayne
"You think I had a choice?" Stiles asks.

"There's always a choice." Scott says
"No there's not." Rayne says
"Yeah, well, I can't do what you can, Scott. I know you wouldn't have done it. You probably would have just figured something out, right?" Stiles says.

"I'd try." Scott says
"Yeah, because you're Scott McCall! You're the True Alpha! Guess what? All of us can't be True Alphas! Some of us have to make mistakes. Some of us have to get our hands a little bloody sometimes. Some of us are human!" Stiles shouts.

"So you had to kill him?" Scott asks
"Scott, he was going to kill my dad!" Stiles says
"But the way that it happened... There's a point when it's... It's not self-defense anymore!" Scott says.

"What are you even talking about? He didn't have a choice, Scott!" Rayne shouts
"You don't even believe me, do you?" Stiles says
"I want to." Scott says.

"Okay. All right, so... So, believe me, then. Scott, say you believe me. Say it. Say you believe me." Stiles says
"Stiles, we can't kill people that we're trying to save." Scott says
"Say you believe me!" Stiles shouts.

"We can't kill people. Do you believe that?" Scott asks
"Well, what do I do about this? What do you want me to do? Okay, just be... Scott, just tell me how to fix this, all right? Please, just tell me-- what do you want me to do?" Stiles asks and tears fall down their faces.

"Don't worry about Malia or Lydia. We'll find them. Maybe... Maybe you should talk to your dad." Scott says and walks into the animal clinic and Rayne holds onto her brother's hand.
