Every year on Boxing Day, I go shopping in the centre not too far from here to get the best sales. It used to be me and my parents but since most of my friends can drive now, we go together instead.

Last year, it was me, Rani, Ana and Rolo but this time, Rolo has adamantly refused to come with us. He says that we're too crazy for him to handle; he's just being dramatic though. Although, Rani did get into a fight with another girl over a leather jacket resulting in security intervening. It was a very nice jacket.

Instead, we're bringing Evelyn; we've started to grow a lot closer to her this year. I'm not sure if that's because of her relationship with Israel and how well he fits in or if it's because she lost a friend in Eliza because of her behaviour. Either way, I'm glad to have her.

Anyway, we have to leave early to get there early so that we're close to the front of the line to enter inside first. This means that I'm currently awake at 4:30am to get dressed before Rani arrives. Add the fact that I stayed up till half 1 last night talking to Abel and that makes me a very very tired girl.

I sluggishly lug myself to the bathroom to freshen up before getting changed into a pair of black jeans and an oversized sweater. While I gather all my necessary belongings, I take a moment to enjoy the beautiful silence in my house; it's very rare that someone isn't making some sort of noise through either arguments, a conversation on the phone or from playing a video game. It'll probably be another year before I experience this kind of feeling again. Sigh.

Rani: I'm outside! Hurry up otherwise I'll start beeping.

I quickly rush down the stairs, foregoing any breakfast since I know she'll follow through with her threat. If she wakes my family up, I'll get all the blame and who needs that kind of stress this early in the morning?

I open the front door and start making my way down the driveway to where Rani has parked. From where I am, I can already see that she's picked Ana up who is currently sitting in the front seat and Evelyn in the back.

As I get closer, Rani rolls down her window, "Get in loser, we're going shopping."

I jump into the back and give her a dry look, "Mean girls? Really?"

"It was appropriate, wasn't it Ana?" Rani nudges her arm slightly before driving off.

Ana mumbles a few words quietly before falling asleep again.

"I found it pretty funny." Evelyn says.

"Thank you Evelyn, I knew you'd be on my side." Rani says triumphantly.

"There are no sides Rani. And you realise you made me skip breakfast, right? If you didn't threaten me with your ridiculous beeping, then I would have had some cereal." I cross my arms and throw her a glare through the mirror.

"Relax, don't get your panties in a twist." She quickly passes back a McDonalds bag with a sausage McMuffin, a hash brown and some orange juice inside it. "I know how you get all grumpy without food."

Like it's my fault we need food to survive. I'm merely following through with my biological needs.

Instead of responding to her, I start munching away at the delicacies in front of me and end up finishing it under five minutes. What? I was hungry.

Rani drives the rest of the way in mostly silence except from the light sounds of the radio playing in the background.

Unfortunately for me, once I'm awake I struggle to go back to sleep which means I just sit there watching the trees go past through the window.

When we eventually arrive at the shopping centre, I reach forward to shake Ana's shoulders so that she'll wake up.

"You could have just tapped me Keziah." She mumbles while stepping out of the car.

"That was way more fun though." I reply innocently.

Ana gives me a blank stare before heading off. She's obviously still half asleep; not that I blame her.

Luckily, we're early enough that the line is relatively small. This means that when it finally opens, we're one of the first people to enter. We all grab a few bags to put our clothes in and walk straight through the centre.

"Where to first ladies?" Evelyn claps her hands together and looks between each of us.

"I know!" Rani shouts before heading off very quickly might I add. The rest of us immediately follow her knowing we'd lose her if we don't.

We enter Topshop and start scanning the clothing racks for any item we like. If we find anything that we believe will suit anyone else, we throw it towards that person and continue our own shopping. After a while, we leave Topshop and walk into H & M which does exceptionally well in their sales. It is most definitely one of my favourite shops here.

Throughout the rest of the morning, we filter from one shop to another gathering as much clothing as we possibly can, filling our bags to the absolute brim. I even grab some things for my family and Rolo since he's not here this time. I debate buying Abel another present when I remember I still have his Christmas gift to give him. I don't want to go overboard after all.

Once we're done, we all head to the fitting rooms to try on the outfits we chose. Rather than putting on the clothes and then taking them off, we decide to turn it into a mini fashion show between the four of us.

We all put on an outfit of our choice and open our changing room doors. Since Rani is right at the end, she steps out first in a black leather skirt and white crop top and walks down the small hallway to the end where a full-length mirror is hanging on the wall. When she reaches the end, she pauses and poses with her hands placed behind her head in what I believe is supposed to be sexy.

"Yes girl!" Ana hollers.

As she turns around to walk back, Ana steps out in a pale blue and white dress and struts to the mirror where she places her hands on her hips and pulls one of those horrendous duck faces. Next, Evelyn steps out in a sexy pale pink bra and pant set making my eyes bulge out of their socket. I would have expected this from Rani sure, but Evelyn? What a surprise.

"Evelyn!" I yell at her with a small laugh.

"If you got it, flaunt it sister!" Rani shouts in response.

All of us laugh while Evelyn makes her way back leaving me to go last.

I've put on a mustard yellow cami double strap frill hem dress that stops a few inches above my knees. It hugs my chest area tightly making me look more bustier than I already am. As soon as I step out, all three of them whistle loudly at me and clap their hands in encouragement. I sashay my way down the hallway and slut drop when I reach the end before blowing a kiss in their direction.

"Shake that ass Kez! Shake what your mama gave you!" Rani hoots with a snort.

I walk back laughing and grab them all into a group hug feeling happy from our small event.

We all head back into our own fitting rooms to change back into the clothes we came in before collecting the rest of our items. After sorting through everything and deciding what we want and what we don't, we check it all out and head to the food court to grab a quick lunch before leaving. It's already 1pm meaning we really spent 7 hours in this place.

We all mutually agree on Italian and walk into the Ask Italian restaurant where they seat as at a table for four. We order straight away since we all know what we want, having been here several times.

Before we can launch into conversation, my phone pings with a message.

My Abel: I just watched the sexiest video I have ever seen.

My brows furrow in confusion at his comment. Why is he telling me about a sexy video he saw? That's weird right?

Me: What?

My Abel: Rani just sent me the video of your little fashion show and baby, you know how to wear that dress.

I place my phone on the table and look over at Rani.

"What?" She asks.

"What did you send Abel?" I question with a tight smile.

Her eyes light up and she shows me my little walk with the drop and kiss at the end, "You look smoking hot Kez, how could I keep that away from him?"

Rani look at me with a satisfied smile while Ana and Evelyn struggle to contain their laughter.

"I don't know what else you expected Keziah, this is Rani we're talking about." Ana states.

"But it's so embarrassing!" I groan and shove a forkful of food into my mouth.

"Abel literally replied with that heart eye emoji." Rani says dryly.

"He definitely loved it." Evelyn adds.

I roll my eyes and pick up my phone again to reply to him.

Me: I didn't intend for you to see that.

My Abel: It was extremely hot Brown Eyes. It even turned me on a little.

I feel my eyes widen at his message and obviously, my friends hawk eyes don't miss this.

"What?" Ana asks.

"Was it something Abel said?" Evelyn joins in and leans forward.

"They're probably sexting." Rani says nonchalantly.

I spit out the water from my mouth in shock causing it to go all over Evelyn. I wipe the droplets from my chin and give Evelyn an apologetic smile while she just glares at me.

"We are not sexting!" I hiss towards Rani.

"Then why do you look so shocked then huh?" Rani smirks at me as if she has it all figured out.

"He just made a flirty comment, that's all." I reply with a shrug.

"Let us see!" Ana reaches over to try and grab my phone from my hand but I move it away just in time.

"No Ana! Leave me alone geez." I roll my eyes at their behaviour and tune out everything else they start saying.

Me: Gosh Abel. I don't even know what to say to that. I'm surprised for sure.

My Abel: It seems I'll have to remind you how beautiful you are and how much you affect me.

Me: Oh yeah? And how are you going to do that?

My Abel: You'll just have to wait and see Brown Eyes.

I blow out a breath at our conversation and look up to find everyone else finished with their food, "Everyone ready to go? I could use a nap."

They all murmur words of agreement as we all shuffle out of our table and head out.

In the middle of the drive home, I decide to get back at Rani by sending the video of her during our mini fashion show onto the group chat which has me, Ana, Evelyn, Raph, Israel, Abel, Rolo and Rani.

Rolo: HA! I've never seen you look more stupid Rani.

Evelyn: Looks like Keziah is feeling vengeful.

Raph: Vengeful about what?

Ana: The video Rani sent to Abel.

Israel: What video?

Abel: Nothing you'll be seeing. It's for my eyes only.

Rolo: Sounds kinky.

Me: Shut up Rolo.

Rolo: You're not denying it!

Evelyn: That's not even all, I'm pretty sure Abel and Kez were sexting while we were eating.

I hit Evelyn's arm hard for that, "Evelyn!"

Ana starts laughing while Evelyn's smirk turns into a full blow grin.

"What's going on? I'm driving here, you need to tell me!" Rani complains.

"Keziah sent your video from the fashion show to the group chat but it's turned into a conversation about Abel and Keziah." Ana explains.

Rani starts laughing as the messages are read out loud causing me to cross my arms and roll my eyes. My friends are so ridiculously annoying, it's unbelievable.

Me: We were not sexting! Right Abel?

Abel: Well...

Evelyn: I knew it!

Me: Abel! No more kisses for you.

Abel: No please, I take it back.

I snort out loud at his begging but decide to continue torturing him.

Me: Too late. Should have thought about that beforehand.

Rolo: Take your flirting somewhere else please, I'm trying not to gag.

Raph: I agree with him for once.

Me: I hate you all.

I turn off my phone and ignore the messages from the chat and from Abel who is asking if I meant what I said about the no kissing. He says he can't survive without them. What a drama queen, I was just planning on making him sweat a bit. Got to have a bit fun you know.

The rest of the drive passes by pretty quickly and before I know it, I'm home. Not having the energy to speak to anyone, I head straight for my room and strip off my clothes before jumping into my bed to catch up on some much-needed sleep.
