Ch.4

Laying his mother next to his father, Akira stared blankly at the bodies of his parents. The shock had knocked out his senses and he couldn't even let out a cry. The scene was horrible to the eye. His mother's chest had a big hole that could fit anyone's fit. The spider webs were everywhere on her body which made her filthy. And his father, he was bleeding from the seven senses. It seemed like he was beaten up to a pulp. His Katana was beside him which gave the proof of a fight.

Luca was already crying his guts out next to Akira. He was a soft-hearted weakling who had never watched a violent action movie. Yet, he had to witness something awful today. And not to forget, it was his best friend's parents who had treated Luca like their own son.

Izumi was nowhere to be seen after taking down their mother. She had run inside the house but didn't come back which gave a terrible feeling to Luca.
He might be a scaredy-cat but he was very careful about his surroundings right now. Especially when Akira was not in his senses, he needed to be cautious. The surrounding was dark but Izumi had lightened up the house after entering, So Luca could see Akira's facial expression. He was petrified. Luca wasn't sure if it was from sorrow or hatred. But whatever it is, it will not bring any good.

Akira was trembling. His whole body was shaking like a volcano which is gonna explode any time soon.

"W –Who did this?", Luca managed to whisper out.

Akira touched his mother's cheek with shaky hands. Red veins gradually appeared inside his eyes. Blue and green veins popped out from his forehead indicating the furious rage and sorrow inside him. Not a single tear left his eyes even though his eyes were glistening.

"Ho ho~ is this a time to come home, your highness?"

Luca snapped his head towards the sound which came from the top of the roof. A soundless gasp escaped from his lips seeing a person on the rooftop of Enatsu house. A youth, maybe in his early twenties. Pointed eyebrows, a pale complexion, inky black lips. However, his eyes were the creepiest. His whole eyes were black with only red irises in the middle. His bloody crimson hair was jelled back neatly. Black leather robes were hugging his body with a red belt which fixed the Rob onto his body. His boots also took the colour red. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows showing his hundreds of tattoos of spiders. Yes, his whole hands were covered in spider tattoos.

Luca was instantly rooted to the ground. He had never seen such a creature. A human? Doesn't look like one.

Finally, Akira decided to stand up. Turning around, he saw the human-like creature who was grinning at him with hands clasped behind his back.

"Did. You. Kill. Them?", He asked pausing at every word, giving serious weight to his words.

"What's so rush? Let's talk with a tea. Hm? I have all the time in this world—"

"I asked you a question", Akira's hooded red eyes sent a chilling glare to the creature.

The creature only laughed, walking on the roof like a circus man. "Your highness, you are so impatient. Aren't you gonna ask who I am? Well, let me introduce myself", He did a bow lowering his head yet it didn't have a bit of respect. It was merely a mocking act. "I'm Kumo. It's a -"

"Cut the crap. Answer to my fucking question?! Did you kill them?!", Akira was slowly losing himself. The little talk only added fuel to his fire. He just wanted one thing. An answer.

Kumo smiled. "Don't be mad. To answer your question, yes it was me"

Akira's breathing was very shallow yet he managed to smile. A smile of pure hatred. "Good, that means I don't have to waste my time running around to find the killer. Come down", He took his father's Katana.

"What an honour. You want to kill me? But I'm a little bit lazy right now. Mmm, but I do have someone who could play with you"

Kumo extended his hands to the side with a sick smile. Not a second pass, one of his tattoos started glowing up. With a shiny golden colour, it shone and moved away from his body! It gradually became bigger and bigger. And at last, a huge spider was next to Kumo. It was even larger than Kumo and had similar eyes as Kumo, black and red. But its whole body was covered with black fur.

Akira widened his eyes seeing the huge spider. Now, it made sense how his mother was stuck on a wall with spider webs. And the whole inside her chest, it was probably caused by one of its tentacles!

Kumo patted its head softly and muttered. "Go"

In a millisecond, it jumped out from the roof, directly aiming its tentacles towards Akira. Akira was not ready for something like this and it had made his whole body frozen.

But the moment the spider was about to jump on Akira, it was harshly hurled away by a strong sweep of wind!

Kumo was startled for a moment before realising what just happened. His spider was dangling in a tree, trying to get out. And the strong wind he just saw, "Well well well, So, his highness wasn't unprotected at all. You had already found a Sun Warrior. "

He looked at Luca who was breathing heavily. His eyes were shaking in fear yet his body wasn't! He instinctively used his power to protect Akira. And what did Kumo say?

"General Sylph is already here! Greetings General!"

General? Sylph? Luca was utterly confused. Who even used these kinds of words these days? It's a modern era for crying out loud and he couldn't even think anymore further due to the fear he was feeling. He was scared that his brain might freeze at any moment.

At this moment, the spider had already escaped from the clutches of the tree. He slowly crawled back to the ground.

Akira looked at Kumo with a clenched jaw. "You coward, come down! Are you letting your pet fight against two kids?! Huh! Don't even have balls to fight against kids?! You fucking coward! Come down! I'll tear you apart!"

"Will you be able to fight against me? Are you sure that you'll be able to tear me apart? Look at your father. Hahaha! He was crying in pain! Do you still think you can fight me?!"

Akira's grip around the Katana tightened hearing how much his father had endured the pain. His chest was heaving up and down with his every breath. He felt absolutely powerless.

"AKIRA!WATCH OUT!"

Akira snapped back hearing Luca's voice. Widening his eyes, he blocked a tentacle with his Katana.

Luca couldn't use his power when Akira was around the spider. His brain worked at a lightning speed. Jumping into the air, he flew up. Using the wind, he tried to separate the spider from Akira. Raising his palms, he gave much more weight to the right side where the spider was and, gave a lightweight of wind towards Akira.

And it was a success! But it looked like he had accidentally given more than enough weight to Akira and as a result, he was hurled back harshly. Luca immediately caught him in the wind.

The spider again dashed towards them at a mad speed releasing a fierce shriek.

While Kumo was enjoying the show, he felt a sudden chill running down his spine. Widening his eyes, he moved to a side only to see a glare of a sword.

Izumi stood there with her two swords in her hands. Her hair was tied into a high messy bun which gave a full view of her heart-shaped face. But few dust spots and blood were on her face like she had escaped from a battle.

"Izumi!", Luca screamed seeing her.

Akira was on the ground and when he finally saw her, he let out an invisible sigh of relief. But when he realised where she is, he sucked up his breath again. "GET DOWN!", He screamed but suddenly got cut off by an attack from the spider.

Akira's body was thrown backwards with that moment lack of attention. But Luca managed to pull the Spider back with the wind. It seemed like the Spider's strength of resistance is growing. The spider was getting used to Luca's strength! It was trying its best to reach Akira.

Izumi gave a side glance at Akira who was slapped onto a tree. Spinning her swords, she stood a few steps forward. She was balancing her body perfectly on the roof.

"So, you killed my spider?"

Izumi had already met Kumo before Luca and Akira. When she went inside the house, she saw him snooping around. He was in the backyard, searching for something. But before he could find anything, Izumi had reached him. He let out one of his spiders to deal with her. But who would have thought that she will come back alive?

She sneered. "I cooked your spider. Feel free to bring it back home for dinner"

Sure enough, Kumo could see smoke rising from the backyard.

"French fries. It's your turn. Barbecue? or fresh meat?"

Kumo's face twitched feeling his dying Spider's pain. Nevertheless, he smiled. "Never thought a fragile-looking girl could be this much bloodthirsty. Now, I'm getting interesting"

Izumi, "Too much talk", she charged forward swinging her blade towards her target.

Kumo dodged the attack jumping backwards.

"You seemed a bit different. Your parents just died. But you look a lot calmer compared to your brother"

Izumi didn't waste her time to answer and continued her attacks.

"A strong mindset huh?"

She did a black flip avoiding a spider Web that came out from Kumo's palms. She could hear her brother's and Luca's screams of struggles. They were still fighting against the spider. The spider was comparatively larger than the spider she fought earlier.

Focusing on Kumo, she strikes harder. Kumo was startled when she sped up her pace. She was unbelievable strong!

Meanwhile, Akira was in a troubled situation. Luca was wrapped like a cocoon with spider webs and without his hands, it was hard to control the wind. The wind was all over the place since Luca was freaking out. He was hanging in a tree-like display.

Akira didn't know what to do. He didn't have a power like Luca nor could he fight like his sister. He only had his father's Katana.

"Fuck!"

He knew he's done now. But he'll never go down without a fight. This damn monster had killed his parents. He'll never surrender.

No, what am I thinking?! I do not need anyone's help! I'll avenge my parents.

"You damn monster! I will cut you into pieces!"
