She had been having a hard time grasping the concept of amnesia. It felt so weird and totally scary to be the victim of it. While the doctors had claimed and verified the clarification of such issue, Lucy did feel different.

She felt smarter...Considering how she knows that he is only 7 years old. But apparently she is 17 years old at the moment. Lucy was in self denial...but she knew that the doctors were right...but she didn't want to believe it. Losing about ten years of your life...in a blink of an eye. Talk about bad luck. Lucy also wondered if she were in a coma for ten years instead of losing her memories...

But Lucy knew better...whilst the opposition of unfamiliarity consumed her judgment of the present, she was alert and self-aware of everything that was going on. Including the mysterious redheaded girl that absolutely refused to leave her side.

She had a gentle voice that soothed the blonde girl, and her gentle touches when she would place her hands over her own, as if it was a way to calm the young girl.

Erza, as Lucy soon learned as she asked for the name...Lucy noted how emotional she was as she talked to her. Her eyes...were always filled with tears threatening to spill, but the dam never broke. And sometimes her voice would crack from time to time.

As of at the moment, it had only been a few days since Lucy had woken from her two weeks slumber. When she had first woken up, she was terrified, terrified to be in a place that she never expected. She was supposed to be at the funeral of her mother's... So it was quite a shock to end up the hospital, and older no less. And her father was no where to be found. The doctors wouldn't tell her Anything, so she was kept in the dark on such issue.

She figured it was because they were afraid of him? Or maybe her father was taking a vacation. She doesn't know...

Lucy was sitting up, leaning against the bed that had been raised and looked at her hands and her injuried arm. She had already been told that she was the victim of a brutal car accident, which turned out to be a terrorist attack. The goal for the attack was unknown, and the Kingdom of Fiore had decided to double the security to make sure any potential terrorist attack doesn't happen again.

Lucy also dreaded the fact of going through rehab...but the doctors said it was a must if she wanted her injuries to fully heal. So she gave in and decided to follow doctor's orders. But she won't be able to move around that much.

The hospitalized young girl looked up to see Erza, who had still refused to leave her side, not for a second...besides going to the restroom and getting food... But she never left her side. Lucy was curious to why the stubborn woman wouldn't leave, but she was also afriad to ask.

She was afraid in general to ask Erza about anything. While she does not know who this person is generally, she does know how emotional she came be...just by looking at her body language. She came close to crying couple of times as she looked at her. So Lucy was trying to be careful to not make things worst...on whatever Erza is emotional about. So she never said a word to her.

But she wanted to talk to her as well...

She only talked to her when the older girl was talking to her, but Erza hadn't said anything today, and Lucy wondered if she should be concerned or not.

"Lucy."

The young hospitalized girl jumped a little as the silence was broke and turned to the older woman. Eye contact was made, and Lucy could tell that Erza barely slept, and she was a little concerned. "Yes?"

Erza scooted her chair a little closer. "Been talking to the doctors. They said you can leave in a few days."

"Oh? Where can I go?"

Erza hesitated for a moment, trying to choose her words carefully. "You'll be coming with me."

"You?"

"Yes, you'll be staying with me."

Lucy frowned a little. "What about my father?"

Erza was silent for a moment before speaking. "He's.....he passed away couple years ago."

Lucy was this close to deny it verbally... But she knew it was her lack of memories speaking. She kept her mouth, and tried to trust her words...though she had seen her father very recently... It felt too confusing for her. one minute her father was there, and the next, he was dead. Kind of hard to believe...

"Oh..." Lucy frowned as she looked down.

"Don't worry...I'm here for you." Erza smiled slightly as she looked at the frowning blonde.

"Yeah...C-Can I ask you something?" Lucy turned to look at the redheaded woman.

"Sure, you can ask me anything." Erza said with a small hint of sleep deprivation.

Lucy was trying to find the right word to say it. "How... how do we know each other?"

"That's...a story for another time. But to sum it up, we met through a text." Erza said with hints of sadness.

"A text?"

"I'll tell you about it later."

...

This was hard for Erza, she had been waiting for two weeks to see her smile and her beautiful colors of orbs that she loved waking up to. She had been waiting to wrap her arms around the young girl. And hurts to not be able to do that without scaring the young girl. Erza knows how tensed the blonde is.

She had been texting Mira for reassurance that everything will be okay. At the time time, she had been consoling Mira.. Because her and Levy were really good friends when they had met wfter we came together as a group.

Mira and her girlfriend Cana had come to the hospital couple of times to visit Lucy and keep her and Erza company.

"Things will be better, Erza." Mira soothed the redhead as she next to door, looking through the window of the door, looking at Lucy who was currently asleep.

"What I'm afraid of that it may be permanent." Erza murmured as she fixated her glaze through the window.

"Maybe if Lucy drinks some booze, she'll be fine then." Cana blurted out before drinking some beer.

Mira immediately hit her in the back of the head gently and snatched the beer from her hands. "That won't work."

"What should I do...what if she doesn't remember anything?" Erza clenched her fists.

"A story always have pages to be told and written in. And there will always be setbacks. And there are times the pages will be ripped out...you can always replace the missing pages by starting over." Mira said.

Erza turned to Mira, repeating the works she had said. "Starting over from square one...I could do that...but...it might not happen again..." She frowned.

Cana stepped forward and wrapped her arm around Erza's neck. "Then you need to seduce her if it doesn't happen. Kinda like how I seduce Mira. Just grab her by the pussy."

Cana was then harshly interrupted as Mira yanked her away by a slightly blushing Erza. "Stop being so inappropriate!" Mira hissed as she pulled on Cana's ear.

"Ow ow ow! Mira, Babe! That hurts!" Cana whined.

Mira sighed before releasing Cana and crossed her arms and glared at the brunette.

Cana pouted and rubbed her ear and looked at Mira. "Sorry, won't do that again."

Erza sighed at them, wishing she could just talk to Lucy, like she normally does. "I'll just wait it out then. The doctors said it shouldn't be permanent...so I'm hoping it'll all come back."

Mira smiled at Erza. "When Lucy gets released from the hospital, we can have a little date with her, make her comfortable with things and such."

"Yeah...and maybe show her some pictures?" Cana tensed up a little, hoping she wouldn't get hit by Mira for her suggestion.

"Pictures is actually a good idea." Mira smiled at her girlfriend.

Erza slightly smiled at them. "Thanks..."

Mira looked at the redheaded woman. "Lucy is our friend too. I want to help her. Even if she doesn't get her memories back, I want to help her to be comfortable."

"I miss my drinking buddy."

Etza slightly glared at Cana. "That was one time, Lucy had gone with you after her father died. She was depresses and thought alcohol would help... So she went with you and got drunk with you... The consequence?" Erza sighed as she recalled what had happened.

Cana nervously laughed. "She was the far the best drinking buddy though..."

"She almost got taken home by someone else!" Erza glared at the alcohol addict.

"But she didn't!" Cana defended herself, trying to hide behind Mira.

Erza sighed deeply and leaned against the door ans looked through the window and set her eyes on the blonde as she continued to sleep. "I dont want her to get hurt again..."

"I'm sure that if you are by her side, nothing will happen to her again." Mira smiled. "Nothing would dare to do anything to Lucy if you are by her side."

"Yes...but I wasn't by her side when it had happened." Erza frowned.

Mira and Cana looked at each other before turning to look at Erza again. "This was a terrorist attack...so I'm sure that this was a one time thing for Lucy to be caught up in the mess. They were at the wrong place at the wrong time."

Erza turned to Mira and Cana. "Perhaps... but one could never be too careful."

"Maybe, have faith in life. I'm sure things will become better than what they may seems." Mira slightly smiled.

"Plus, you'll be by her side now. Lucy won't even get a single scratch now." Cana grinned.

A small, almost invisible smile are evident on Erza's face. "I suppose so."

"When will Lucy be released?" Cana asked.

"Tomorrow. I need to go amd get a change of clothing for her before she leaves. I'm sure she'll appreciate that."

"Want us to grab them? So you can stay by her side?" Mira offered with a smile.

Erza looked at Mira and smiled. "That would be nice."

Mira smiled too. "Can I have the key to your house then?"

Erza handed the key to Mira. "Don't get sidetracked you two." She raised her eyebrows at the two, knowing how they gets all serious, and the next moment, they are spanking each other's asses and kissing all over the place.

"Don't worry Erza, we'll be back soon." Mira smiled.

"Yep!" Cana grabbed Mira's hand and tugged her away, out of the hospital, assumingly toward Erza's house.

Erza watched at the two pair walked away, hand in hand. She missed having the blonde's hand in hers.

With small hint of envious toward the pair, she turned back and looked at the sleeping blonde through the window.
