Chapter One: Morning Hour
It was a cool crisp night. The night consumed all of a small town called BridgeWood. BridgeWood was a fairly big town with many residents living within it. At night the town sat still with very few lights glaring out of houses. Then there was the unusual large mansion that stood tall and loomed over the forest and town that surrounded it. No lights emitted from the house. It looked as if it was left to age away. But the house looked that it had just been built. It's white paint never peeled, the wooden floorboards that were built into the patio never rotted or broke to the many years it stood, it was a strange and unusual house. Some say a family lives in there. A family of Demons and Devils and Shedevils, beings of supernatural entities with mysterious origins. Half of those rumors are true. Well, most of it. A young boy named Lament lived within the estate with his very rich and dominate parents, an elegant woman his mother is, a name as smooth as silk, Clarabelle St Hide, she always would wear the brightest glimmering red dress's in her large wardrobe, countless heels stacked neatly beside each other in small cubby holes which were a ghostly white. His Father, a man a few words and lot of dominance and snappy clothing. lament's Father, his name ruff and mean, Thanato Phobia, he is quite unique, he gave off a strong aura, making anyone within his presence fall to their knees and cower in fear, Lament always appreciated him for that. And lastly, Lament Phobia, Lament a boy 15 years of age was well disciplined and treated others with respect. But Lament had a gift, a curse he say's. Lament, unable to speak, was a struggle throughout his life. For an example, whenever he had gotten a fright - or harmed himself - he'd never squeal, yelp or even cry out, he'd always just stand there and not react ( he'd flinch's sometimes ). It was rather stressful at times for him, especially when he's at school. Lament wondered the halls of the large mansion, the red walls a deep shade and the wooden dark floorboards made the walls blend into it. Lament reached his way towards the living quarters when he began tumbling to the ground with someone else, Lament body had taken action, arms wrapped around whoever had collapsed on him and circled them both to stumble back up straight, but only achieved with him falling down and the other staggering back up.
" O-Oh dear! I-I'm so sorry young lord! I-I!" A woman's voice spoke out, a maid. Lament raised a hand to silence the maid and gave her a gentle, reassuring smile. Lament had gotten up and dusted himself off and gave her another smile. The maid's cheek flustered to the young boy's gesture and gave a bow, " V-very sorry!" she stuttered out which only gave a reply of Lament patting her back as a small gesture. She began to fumble with her dress and gave another bow and ' sorry ' and ran off to do her other errands. The young boy carried on to the living quarters and arrived in moments. When he had walked in his nostrils were meet with a familiar smell, the fragrance seemed to stain itself with the area as it felt welcoming and inviting. His mother, laying down on a large white couch, wearing an elegant red dress which flowed over her curves and reached to her mid-calves and a ' V ' neck which revealed too much skin. Her black eyes traveled up to her son, her red lips pulled into a soft smile. She beckoned her child to her as she placed down a book. Her son had comfortably sat neck to his mother, his mother tucked a strand of her black hair behind her ear and showed her pearly white teeth. " Are you alright Lament? You seem... distressed." His mother was physic, she could read mind's and sense many motions and see many visions. That's how'd she'd meet his Father ( he'd hope his mother doesn't explain the story again...). Lament gave a small nod and his mouth gave out a heavenly sigh, she stared into her son's pale blue orb floated into the abyss of white, it had a twin but was a bright yellow orb instead. She caressed his head and closed her eyes, her eyelashes fluttering. She gave out a soft low hum. His mother would do this sometimes too soft out Lament's stressed mind, it helped eminently. Lament too let out a huff and melted into his mothers' soft embrace. His mind became calm and gentle, like a flowing river at sunset, reaching its peak of restlessness it calmed and settled.
Then something tugged at it, a ripple. An aching, annoying almost painful tug at his mind. Then that once calm lake became a ravaged sea. He began to toss and turn, his mother's eye shot open and Lament lashed out. His eyes opened wide, the once cool pool of white his orbs floated in was black, a void-less abyss, an empty sea. He sent glares to whatever his eyes laid upon, hatred burned within them. If a glare could kill, everything in this house would be dust. " lament!" His mother cried out to him, Lament head flicked over to her, his glare softening but burned brighter. He charged for his mother but went limp as his eyes rolled to the back of his head and fell on his shoulder. His mother raced over to him as a pair of heavy footsteps trailed from behind " He was close Clarabelle -too close-. You can't keep fiddling with his mind like that." A deep and heavenly voice spook out, the room once inviting warmth turned cold and damp. Like a heavy shower of the run had once poured down. The boy's mother frowned to this response, and caressed her sons head, massaging his scalp. " I was so close Thanato, so close! Can you even comprehend what secrets lie beneath his mind!? He has the key we need to create our world! I swear Phobia I-" She was cut off by Lament taking a deep inhale and stiffen in his mothers grasp. She patted his forehead and gave it a kiss and he relaxed back into his mother hands. And Lament's mother thought of what he was dreaming about, she gave out a long sigh and stood, Lament still in her arms. " If you excuse me, I must return our son to his chambers. He's had a rough day today..." She walked off, leaving her husband standing there, his features on his handsome face sat still and blank. The clinking of her heels faded away down the wooden floorboards.
