Dear Dan,

You spent the whole day reading The Fault In Our Stars, and I comforted you when you cried. That just felt so great, being able to comfort you, although I hope I never have to again. I don't like seeing you sad, although you're pretty beyond belief when you cry. I hope you're always happy.

After eating ice cream and crying for a while, you exhausted yourself, so you fell asleep on my shoulder. Lucky for me there was a pad of paper and a pen next to me, and you can sleep here. I'll have to fold this letter to hide it, but that's alright.

You're smiling softly in your sleep. I hope you're dreaming well. I'm getting quite tired, being so comfortable with you by my side. I'll write more, I don't doubt it.
