-Chapter Twenty-Three-

"Hey, mom, remember my last party?"

"Who could forget that? It was such a mess."

Frisk smiled as she recalled the memory of that disastrous party from last year.

"Okay, my children! Don't only eat things off the chocolate fountain. I'm talking to you, Chara."

She grinned sheepishly,"Ay, you put it here."

"Haha! Well, I guess you got me there. Have fun, my children."

She vanished into the crowd, and Chara quickly turned to the chocolate. She stuck a strawberry into it, making it more chocolate than fruit. She bit into it, her face puckering up as she tasted the strawberry.

"Sour?" Frisk joked,"I didn't think you'd even be able to taste it under all that chocolate."

Chara shrugged,"Eh, what can I say? I like it."

Frisk giggled, taking a marshmallow for herself. A few minutes wen by of them talking and just enjoying each other's company. Neither noticed the grumbling coming from the fountain right beside them.

     "Frisk!"

She snapped out of the memory, and Chara was standing in front of her.

"Whatcha thinking about?"

"The chocolate fountain explosion."

"Oh, that. I swear I still have chocolate stains in that one sweater."

"Same. Anyway, do you have any plans for today?"

"Not really. Why?" Chara tried to raise an eyebrow, but failed,"You got something in mind?"

"Just a lazy day, pretty much. We could watch some Doctor Who, I know you like that, you little sci-fi nerd. I also want to make brownies. I know we have a lot of cakes and pies, but I really want brownies."

"Sounds good, love. Um, I'll leave the brownies to you, I can't bake to save my life."

"Hehe. I could show you. It's not hard, you just follow the directions on the box."

"I'd love too, but no thanks. I have a plan for what I'll do."

"Um, okay. I'll be out when I put the brownies in the oven."

They parted ways, one to the kitchen, and the other to the living room. Frisk gathered the ingredients for the brownies, almost dropping an egg. She turned on the oven, remembering the time Chara tried to make cookies in an oven that wasn't even on. Smiling, she mixed everything together. She finished whisking the things together, but the oven still had a few minutes left to heat up. She rummaged through the cabinets and pulled out a pack of popcorn and hot chocolate mix. Throwing the popcorn in the microwave, she quickly brought some milk to a boil in a pot.

She poured the milk into two mugs and measured out the hot chocolate mix. Just then, the oven beeped. She placed the brownies in, careful not to burn herself. Throwing in a few ice cubes into the hot chocolate, she walked to the living room, balancing the bowl of popcorn between her arms.

Chara had taken all the cushions off the couch and stacked them around and over the oversized blue armchair that Toriel usually sat in. With a large family, the couch was quite long, giving Chara plenty of cushions to work with.

     She grinned,"Like it?"

Frisk giggled,"You're so silly. I love you."

     "I wuv you to Fwisk."

"Aw, does wittle baby Chara need a bottle?"

Chara giggled, settling down in the chair. She patted the space next to her, and Frisk sat, giving Chara her hot chocolate. Chara sipped her drink, turning on the tv. Frisk snuggled closer, and Chara laid her head on Frisk's shoulder. Frisk flushed red, warmth radiating up her body. Frisk glanced down, hoping Chara hadn't noticed. But she was smirking, and Frisk blushed once more.

They watched from The Wedding of River Song to The Angels Take Manhattan, when Chara, nearly in tears, claimed she couldn't watch any longer. It was nearing three in the afternoon, and the whole family had been walking in and out the house all day, doing something outside. Each regarded the 'fort' with amused glances, but nobody said anything.

They sat in their fort for hours, just enjoying each other's touch. Chara was asleep, so Frisk knew that she wouldn't be moving anytime soon. She scrolled once more through the Undernet, snickering at her family's latest posts. Apparently, it hadn't occurred to them that she would be able to read what they typed.

Xxlazybones- heh, those kiddos in there sure look comfy

CoolSkeleton95- YES, THEY DO LOOK VERY COMFORTABLE.

Toriel- Um, Papyrus, you do know you can turn off caps lock, right?

CoolSkeleton95- I AM QUITE AWARE OF THAT, MRS. TORIEL.

Xxlazybones- anyway, i gtg. may wanna keep an eye on those kids. dont want them getting to frisky, if ya know what i mean.

Toriel- Sans!

Xxlazybones- hehehehehe.

Frisk snickered, and Chara stirred beside her. She stretched, half falling off the chair. Frisk poked her in the stomach, and she giggled. They kissed, short and sweet. Frisk stood up, shaking her foot, which had fallen asleep. She walked to the kitchen, looking at the brownies.

She raised an eyebrow to Chara,"Wanna piece?"

"Okay, how do you do that? The eyebrow thing? I can't do it."

"What, this?" she lifted an eyebrow, smirking.

Chara raised both eyebrows, frowned, and tried again. Failed again. She huffed, shaking her head,"Whatever. I'll have a brownie."

Frisk took out a knife and jokingly pointed it at Chara, who gasped. They smiled, and Frisk cut two brownies while Chara poured cups of milk. There was a knock at the door, and Toriel hurried to answer it. A minute later she came in the kitchen.

     "Frisk," she called,"it's for you."

Frisk went to the door, Chara following. Outside stood a woman who looked to be in her early thirties.

"Hello," she said,"are you Frisk Dreemurr?"

     "Um, yeah. That's me."

     "Perfect! And, you are?"

     "I'm Chara. Chara Dreemurr."

"Oh, sorry, I didn't know that there were two. Anyway, Frisk, I'm Mrs. Wayne, and I teach the Monster History course at Ebbot View High School."

     "Monster History? That's a thing?"

"It was approved as an official class this year.  We were wondering if you'd be free to come by tomorrow and kind of tell what it was like in the Underground. What it was like to be surrounded by monsters."

"Oh! Um, I-I guess I can. What time should I come?"

"Well, my best class is at nine am, could you do that?"

     "I can, most likely."

"Great! Here's my card, call if you need anything!"

Frisk took the card and shut the door, turning to Chara.

"So, have you heard of a teacher with a business card?"

This was a kinda filler chapter. Next one will be cooler. Still taking chapter requests, btw.
