-Chapter Seven-

"Frisk! Wake up! We have to go!"

Frisk jumped up, nearly running into Chara, who was shaking her awake. Four months had passed, and a lot had happened. Toriel had gotten huge. Frisk didn't know how pregnancy worked in monsters, but Toriel seemed to be a lot bigger than she should. Also, much to Chara's annoyance, Jojo had moved in with Sans. The house was extremely crowded.

Chara had turned seventeen and gotten her drivers license (after failing the test once),and they often left, doing random things just to get away from the constant noise of the house. Their favorite place was Special Swimming. It was a large building with many rooms, each with a ten by six foot pool. You could rent out a room with your own pool, so that ended the trouble of annoying public pools.

They were going to the airport to catch a flight to Arizona. Frisk was worried about leaving Toriel so late into her pregnancy, but an offer had come up that they couldn't refuse.

Frisk skipped downstairs, pulling her purple suitcase behind her. Her mother was leaning against the kitchen counter, trying to put something in the top shelf. Frisk ran to her, pushing the plate where it went.

"Mom! I told you to stop doing that! You may hurt yourself!"

"I know, but I just get so bored! I don't want to sit all day."

"Well, you won't be bored much longer. There'll be a baby keeping you plenty busy soon enough."

They sat down and Toriel began asking about their trip. She thought they were just going on a vacation, she didn't know what they were actually going to do. She had told them, rather they liked it or not, Jojo would meet them on their third day there.

"Must you bring Flowey? I feel he will ruin your time together."

"He's our friend."she insisted stubbornly,"It'll be fine with him. Besides, you're making Jojo come along."

Flowey had been acting strange, according to Sans. Nicer, quieter. Even a bit sad, it seemed. After a meeting with Alphys a few times, she had agreed that now was as good a time as any.

Chara hopped down, pulling a black suitcase and holding Flowey. He stared at the ground, murmuring to Chara.

"Come on Frisk. We're leaving now. Love you ma."

"Bye mom! Stay safe!"

"I will. Goodbye my children! Be careful!"

They lugged their luggage into the trunk of the car. Chara sat in the drivers seat and set Flowey on the dashboard. Frisk shut her door and yawned. There was a long day ahead of them.

---

The flight was boring. Frisk leaned against Chara's shoulder, wishing she could relax. She had never told Chara about her fear of planes. She didn't want to ruin this for her. Chara seemed unable to sit still. She kept looking around and bouncing on her seat. They locked eyes.

In that moment, Frisk saw all the emotions swimming through Chara. She was excited and happy, nervous and determined. But beneath it all, there was terror. Pure, excruciating terror. One thought was clear in Chara's mind. Will he forgive me?

Chara smiled, shutting her eyes, and the moment was broken.

"Looking mighty pale there Frisk. You okay?"

"Yeah,"she lied,"I just really hope this works."

"I don't know why y'all care so much."

Both looked at Flowey in shock. That was the first time he's said a word the whole flight. Frisk smiled softly.

"Why shouldn't we? You're our friend and you don't deserve this. You shou-"

"No! I'm not your friend! I'm not him! And I never will be! Just give up on me. Like everyone else has."

"Flowey! No one has given up on you, you just don't let anyone get close enough to help you."

"Because there's no point! Everyone sees me as someone who hates everything!"

     "Alphys doesn't."

"That's because she...she... She just regrets what she did to me! I've seen enough timelines to know that she wishes that she left me to die!"

Tears sparkled in his eyes. He appeared shocked at them, looking confused.

     "W-what's happening to me? N-n-no! I can't! Big k-kids don't c-cry! Remember Chara? Y-you told me! You said...you said... I... I remember! Chara help me! Please!"

Chara reached to calm him down, just as the pilot announced that they'd be landing in five minutes. This was perfect! This was the most emotional Flowey had ever been. Maybe this could work!

                                                ---

"The Hoover Dam is one of the largest hydroelectric power plants in the nation,"Dr.Harris explained. He had offered to give the girls a tour of the Dam."and it's high levels of power should be enough for what you are doing. I've even created a machine that will allow the power to be directed to your souls! It's right in this room here."

They turned into a room on the left. Frisk felt her soul pounding in her chest, and she clutched Chara's hand. She squeezed back reassuringly, though her fear was evident. The room looked like a normal office, but with a weird thing with many wires coming off it and a huge circuit board covering one wall. There were also two booksack-size glass containers sitting in one corner.

"Um, could you bring out your souls please? We need to connect the wires."

They produced their souls, and they floated, quivering slightly, in the air. The doctor handed each of them a wire, then wound the others around their souls. Frisk had to clench her teeth to keep from emitting a squeak. At her side, Chara flushed a bright red. The doctor either didn't notice or didn't care, and he placed their souls in the glass boxes next to Flowey. The flower was shaking, tears still in his eyes?

"This is going to hurt. Are you ready?"

Frisk took a deep breath and grabbed Chara's hand,"Ready."

     "Ready."

The doctor flipped a switch and Frisk's world split into two with an excruciating pain and a flash of white light.

Two updates? One day? What is this? Don't expect this often. FluffyJojo, you'll be in the next chapter. Sorry this chapter was kinda short. Ururururu not much else to say.

Question-
Have any of you been to the Arizona-Nevada area? I did and nearly died from too many bloody noses. DX
