What's up Buddies! Mega apologies about this update! I got some work that need to be done before the school holidays. Also, I was hurrying up to finish this chapter because it was going to be a very long chapter. Now, I hope you enjoy that 'Feel it' chapter because hopefully when you reached the end, there's something 'special' I want to show you. I hope you enjoy this chapter~

Previously on Undertale - The Story of Determination...

Undyne told Frisk to deliver her 'letter' to Dr. Alphys.

However, when Frisk delivers it, it turns out that Alphys was dating her instead of 'who-knows'.

She and Alphys went on date and yes the 'Dating Stimulator' at the garbage dump.

Turns out her secret was that she had a crush on Undyne for a long time and she had problems about talking to her. She was always lying to her about everything to her and makes her feel bad.

Frisk assured her that she needs to tell Undyne the 'truth' and Alphys doesn't know how.

So they decided to do a roleplay, Frisk playing as Undyne as some sort of pretend game.

In the end, Alphys told it too far and Undyne suddenly heard it.

Alphys stuttered in embarrassment and told Undyne the truth about lying to her. But in the end, she got DUNKED ON!

Finally, Undyne forgives her and told Papyrus who came out of nowhere to do training with her.

What about Frisk? She went to the Skele-bros house and stay for the night.

Next day, fun activities in the day and a passionate night at night with Sans.

Frisk's P.O.V

I woke up the next morning feeling the stinging sensation in my eyes. I opened them slowly only be greeted by sun rays shining into my eyes. I rubbed my tired eyes and let out a quiet yawn. I was about to crawl out of bed when I was suddenly pull back down. I turned my head to see a skeleton next to me with arms around me. I looked down at myself and blushed deep red - where is my sweater? I looked around the floor and found it near his slippers and hoodie. I sighed and turned my gaze back on the sleepy skeleton. I smiled to myself and raised my hand to place it over his cheekbone. It was smooth and strong like a human skull. I caress my hand on it which cause him to stir in his sleep and suddenly open his eyesockets.

"morning beautiful~" He whispered sleepily with a tired smile.

"Morning Sans." I smiled at him and scooted over to kiss his cheekbones making them turn a little blue.

"You alright? I know... you have a good time from... you know, last night." He asked, stroking my cheek with his hand.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I know how much you... want me right now and I think... since you teach me something about going to your 'special place'. I think I'm ready... I know I could do this." I assured, nuzzling my face into his shirt.

"Well, alright..." Sans admitted, slowly sitting himself up. "Be ready for tonight, okay?"

"Okay." I slipped off the bed and picked up my sweater with my shirt and put it over myself. Though, I was embarrassed for wearing a bra. I put on my boots and waited for Sans to get ready too. He got his hoodie and slippers on and turned to me.

"Ready to go?"

"Yep." I stood up and about to exit the door when Sans stopped me. "Hm? What's wrong?" Sans didn't answer back but he gave me a usual grin and gestured me by tapping his teeth with his finger.

"How about a morning kiss?"

"Okay, but you need to tilt your head down a bit." I instructed as I got closer and Sans tilt his head down. I cupped his face gently and pulled him into a sweet kiss. Sans leaned down more to deepen the kiss before pulling away slowly. He smiled like a goofball and so do I.

We both walked down stairs and went to the dining table for breakfast. I could hear Papyrus humming his 'theme' song in the kitchen. As we wait, I felt something brush over my hand and turned to see a bony hand over mine. I looked up at Sans who looks at me with that smile. I smiled back and gently hold his hand. It was so warm due to his magic to make body heat radiating. He rubbed his thumb against the top part of my hand and slowly laced his fingers through mine.

"I love you Frisk." He whispered.

"I love you too Sans." I replied.

Then Papyrus came out of the kitchen with plates of spaghetti. Two plates on each arm and one plate balanced on his head.

"GOOD MORNING BROTHER AND HUMAN! I HAVE MADE YOU SOME SPAGHETTI PANCAKES!" Papyrus beamed happily as he set the plates down in front of us. We pick up our fork and ate.

After breakfast, Papyrus told the both of us that he's going with Undyne for some training and told Sans to do his work and me to check on Alphys. We agreed and he left the house after saying goodbye.

"Hey Sans, I'm going to check on Alphys for a bit to see how she's doing." I told him, leaving the table to put my empty plate in the sink.

"Oh okay, you'll be back right?" He confided.

"Of course."

"Alright."

I made my way to the door and opened it. I was about to walk out when a pair of arms suddenly wrapped around me. I turned around in the embrace and looked up to see his sweet smile on his face.

"Be safe, okay?"

"I will." I hugged him and kissed his cheek as he gave a kiss on the forehead. I waved goodbye and made my way to the Riverperson and ask for a ride to Hotland. It sailed across the river and soon arrived at the shore of Hotland. I thanked the Riverperson and depart the boat. I walked to the laboratory and the door instantly opened for me. I stepped inside the lab seems quiet - too quiet.

"Alphys? You in here?" I called out, my voices echoed in the empty lab - no reply. I keep calling out her name over and over until I saw a note on the ground. I bend down to pick it up, it was from Dr. Alphys. 

Hey. Thanks for your help back there. You guys... Your support means a lot to me. But... As difficult as it is to say this... You guys alone can't make my problems magically go away. I want to be a better person. I don't want to be afraid anymore. And for that to happen I have to be able to face my own mistakes. I'm going to start doing that now. I want to be clear. This isn't anyone else's problem but mine. But if you don't ever hear from me again... If you want to know "the truth." Enter the door to the north of this note. You all at least deserve to know what I did.

'the truth?' I thought, narrowing my eyebrows in confusion. I turned away from the note and saw the door that Alphys went to. I approached the door and it automatically opened for me. I stepped inside and pressed the button to allow the doors to automatically close up. The elevator became to move and elevated downwards. It suddenly stopped and then start to fall down fast with the alarms ringing.

WARNING! WARNING! ELEVATOR LOSING POWER! EM TETHER STABILITY LOST! ALTITUDE DROPPING!

'Uh-Oh!' I thought as my vision seem to blurred and the elevator landed hardly which caused to tumble down and hit my head on the floor, knocking me unconscious.

"HeY fRiSk... FrIsk, WaKe Up!" I heard someone calling my name and was shaking me very hard. I woke up and saw the familiar face of someone I knew all along.

"Chara..."

"HeLl YeAh, It'S mE!" She babbled.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"SaViNg YoUr AsS fRoM yOuR fAlL iN tHiS fRiCkIn ElEvAtOr." She replied, crossing her arms.

"Well, thanks..." I mumbled, getting myself back onto two feet. "Where am I?"

"DoN't KnOw, BuT iT aPpEaRs To Be An UnDeRgRoUnD lAbOrAtOrY, sEcReTlY hIdDeN fRoM tHe SuRfAcE oF AlPhy'S lAb." Chara addressed, looking around the dark area.

"Well, are you gonna... leave or follow me?"

"I'm FoLlOwInG yOu... No OdDs wHeRe ArE yOu GoInG bUt I bElIeVe I cOuLd HeLp YoU oUt."

"Fine, just don't kill anything in here okay." I warned.

"FiNe." Chara replied, rolling her eyes.

We began walking through this laboratory and I was keeping an eye on Chara because I don't really trust this poltergeist. I came across some glowing noteboards on the walls. I stopped at each one to read.

ENTRY NUMBER 1 - This is it... Time to do what the King has asked me to do. I will create the power to free us all. I will unleash the power of the SOUL.

ENTRY NUMBER 2 - The barrier is locked by SOUL power... Unfortunately, this power cannot be recreated artificially. SOUL power can only be derived from what was once living. So, to create more, we will have to use what we have now. The SOULs of monsters.

ENTRY NUMBER 3 - But extracting a SOUL from a living monster would require incredible power. Besides being impractical, doing so would instantly destroy the SOUL's host. And, unlike the persistent SOULs of humans... The SOULs of most monsters disappear immediately upon death. If only I could make a monster's SOUL last...

ENTRY NUMBER 5 - I've done it. Using the blueprints, I've extracted it from the human SOULs. I believe this is what gives their SOUls the strength to persist after death. The will to keep living... The resolve to change fate. Let's call this power... "Determination"

"WhAt's Up WiTh ThE nOtEs AnYwAy? SoMeThInG gOt To Do WiTh ScIeNcE?" Chara questioned, reading each one like I do.

"I think it looks like a diary or a journal about some experiment. I think each of them explains what has happens during the experiment and everything is recorded on these noteboards." I replied.

"WeLl, WhAtEvEr ThE eXpErImEnT wAs, It'S aLl AbOuT dEtErMiNaTiOn." Chara shrugged, as we arrived at the area with a large door and a vending machine. I found a note on the ground and picked it up. There's some red writings on the paper but the message was smudged and the words were blurry. I squinted my eyes and made out a fewer words.

'elevator... lost power... enter the center door...'

"ThIs DoOr LeAdS tO tHe PoWeR rOoM." Chara stated, staring at the sign near the large door. "We need four keys to open this door."

"Well, let's start exploring this place and find out this 'truth' about this laboratory and Alphys." I said, as we both somehow go together. More glowing notebooks and read them as I go.

ENTRY NUMBER 6 - ASGORE asked everyone outside the city for monsters that had "fallen down." Their bodies came in today. They're still comatose... And soon, they'll all turn into dust. But what happens if I inject "determination" into them? If their SOULS persist after they perish, then... Freedom might be closer than we all thought.

ENTRY NUMBER 9 - Things aren't going well. None of the bodies have turned into dust, so I can't get the SOULs. I told the families that I would give them the dust back for the funerals. People are starting to ask me what's happening. What do I do?

"EwW... wHaT iS tHiS?" I heard Chara drawled and I turned to her, seeing that her hand was covered in some gooey slime. I bit down my lip to prevent myself from laughing at her because, why touching something if you don't know what it is? "YuCk... I'm GoInG tO wAsH mY hAnDs." She walked over to the three sinks and turned one of the taps. One sink got dirty water and the other one also dirty water but when she turned on the last one, the tap leaks out white slime. "EwW... wHaT iS tHaT?" She went on, as the sink was filled up with white goo and it made a face. The slime rose up into a form of a hideous monster.

                  drew near!

"I have no idea, but it's scary and disgusting." I replied.

"WeLl, LeT's KiLl ThEm." Chara suggested as she took out her dagger.

"Wait!" I pulled her back and shook my head, "We can't kill them, we have to figure out in a different way."

"LiKe WhAt?"

"Let's check first."

"FrIsK, tHeRe Is No DaTa On ThOsE mOnStErS. It'S iMmOrTaL." Chara retorted.

"There should be." I took out my cellphone.

You take out your CELL PHONE. You can hear voices through the receiver...! (insert Hotline Bling by Drake)

"Wait, I can hear something..." I turned up the volume and the words drawled out from the monster's mouth.

"Come join the fun."

But nobody came. 

"I'm GuEsSiNg ThEy'Re MeMoRyHeAdS." Chara guessed. "WeLl, LeT's Do WhAt ThEy SaY."

"No, let's not." I retorted.

"Be seeing you... Lorem ipsum docet... It's a real get together..." The Memoryheads drawled out.

Seems like it doesn't care anymore.

"Let's leave them." I demanded, as the monsters stared and then evaporated from the sink, leaving something behind in the sink.

I walked over and took it out, it was a red key. I attached the key to the key chain and smiled. "It's the key to the large door."

"GrEaT, nOw LeT's Go AnD fInD tHe KeYhOlE fOr It." Chara babbled, walking into the room next to the sink. The room was small but on the wall was the red keyhole. I went up and insert the key before turning it on. Red lights flashes and I beamed with happiness.

"drain... dropped it..." I heard Chara reading aloud on a piece of paper before depositing it to the ground . "Hmph, talks about the sink."

"Well, that's all we know now let's go." I said, exiting the room and made our way back to the large door. One of the colour lights flashed, meaning there are four switches to turn in order to unlock this door. We walked through the red-lit doors which automatically opens for us and we continued. Along the way, more glowing noteboards.

ENTRY NUMBER 12 - Nothing is happening. I don't know what to do. I'll just keep injecting everything with "determination." I want this to work.

ENTRY NUMBER 13 - One of the bodies opened its eyes.

ENTRY NUMBER 14 - Everyone that had fallen down... has woken up. They're all walking around and talking like nothing is wrong. I thought they were goners...?

"Is It JuSt Me Or Do We HaVe MoRe ThAn OnE bEd?" Chara asked, looking at about nine beds in this room.

"I don't know... let's have a look around first..." I suggested, as we searched around the beds, finding any clues. I lifted the bedsheets up carefully to anything while Chara was tossing the bedsheets onto the floor. We searched until I found something on the bed, there was a yellow key. I attached the key to the key chain. "Okay, let's go." 

"FiNe." Chara dropping the bedsheet she was holding and followed me. We came across crossroads and there's more glowing noteboards. We took to the right and we're inside some cool room. There are big fans blowing cold air into the room making me shivered.

ENTRY NUMBER 11 - Now that Mettaton's made it big, he never talks to me anymore... except to ask when I'm going to finish his body. But I'm afraid if I finish his body, he won't need me anymore. Then we'll never be friends ever again... not to mention, every time I try to work on it, I just get really sweaty.

"It'S fRiCkIn CoLd In HeRe, WhErE tHe HeLl Is ThE sWiTcH fOr ThIs?" Chara gibed.

"Over there." I pointed over to the switch and walked over to press it. The fans blew the air which leaves white particles floating in the air. The particles then merged together to create a blob which lands on the ground and then shape-shifts into a large dog with a hollow mouth, ten legs and the gaps shaped like dogs. The creature looked at me and Chara and began walking towards us.

It's the Amalgamate.

"NYEH, this dog is creepy!" I exclaimed, backing myself against the wall and standing behind Chara.

"WhAt'S wRoNg WiTh ThAt? It'S a GoOd DoG. cAlL oUt To HiM." Chara said.

"Oh lord." I sighed and stepped away from Chara before beckoning the creature.

You call the Amalgamate. It bounds towards you, flecking a strange liquid from an orifice.

"Eww..." I said in disgust, pushing its face from the slobber liquid. Chara was laughing her head off as she watches me doing this. I groaned in annoyance and pet the creature's head.

You pet the Amalgamate. It convulses rapidly... Then calms down. It rests quietly on your lap for a moment... Zzzz...

"Chara, help me." I demanded, and all Chara did was shrugging her shoulders.

Suddenly, it shoots away and crawls wildly on the walls!

"WhOa ThErE dOg!" Chara cried, as the Amalgamate went wild around the cool room like a wild fox trapped inside a house. "HmPh, RuNs AwAy LiKe A eXcItAbLe ChIhUaHuA."

Amalgamate is striking the wall with its claws.

"Hey, I think this dog wants to play a bit." I said, taking out my Stick from my pocket and held it out to the creature. "You want the stick?" The creature crouched down and howls in excitement. "Go fetch!"

You throw your weapon into the corner of the room.The Amalgamate brings it back to you... Proudly?

"Again? Fetch!" I threw the stick again and the Amalgamate bounds after it again.

You repeat this process a few times. Now Ama is very tired... It leans its dripping, amorphous body on you...

"Oh lord..." I sighed in annoyance again and Chara was laid back than usual, not bothering to help me.

"SoRrY, yOu ArE gOiNg To HaVe To PlAy WiTh HiM." Chara replied.

"God, I don't like you..." I grumbled, looking away from her.

Amalgamate is twitching affectionately.

I remain silent and pet the Amalgamate, feeling my hand getting covered by white goo.

You pet the Amalgamate. It starts to generate a Stage I Happiness Froth.

The creature beganwithering around on my lap. I giggled and pat the Amalgamate again...

You pet decisively.

"FrIsK, lOoK..." Chara whispered aloud, as I stopped petting and the creature suddenly stood up to reveal dog faces in between the gaps of the legs.

The Amalgamate seems to be satisfied by all this.

"I-I did it!" I squeaked with happiness as I got up and gave the dog a hug.

Endogeny is contented.

"WeLl, YeAh YoU DiD." Chara replied. "CoMe On, We'Re LeAvInG..." She took my hand and pat the Endogeny on the head before leaving this area.

We both say our goodbyes to Endogeny and went back to other room we missed. We went inside and there's a mirror on the walls and on the table were golden flowers. I walked over to examine them, kinda looks a bit like Flowey. There are glowing noteboards on the walls and Chara was reading them.

ENTRY NUMBER 7 - We'll need a vessel to wield the monster SOULs when the time comes. After all, a monster cannot absorb the SOULs of other monsters. Just as a human cannot absorb a human SOUL... So then... What about something that's neither human nor monster?

ENTRY NUMBER 10 - Experiments on the vessel are a failure. It doesn't seem to be any different from the control cases. Whatever. They're a hassle to work with anyway. The seeds just stick to you, and won't let go...

I walked away from the table and went on ahead when I saw something odd moving in the mirrors. I stopped to examine. There's a white goo oozing out through the crack between the mirrors and form into a hideous creature.

"Okay, I have no idea what kind of monster is that." I inquired.

"LoOkS lIkE cOmBiNaTiOn Of WhImSaLoT, FiNaL FrOgGiT aNd AsTiGmAtIsM." Chara answered, observing the creature. "You seem to have recognize these monsters, have you?"

"Wait, I think I know it..." I perform a 'finger-removing' trick.

You did something mysterious. ., recognizes it has more to learn from this world.

"And then, this..." I walked up to the creature and pointed at the creature.

You pick on , It seemed effective.

"And the last one was this..." I went on my knees and pressed my hands together. "Wish you to be rest in peace and let me be safety..."

You kneel and pray for safety. Reaper Bird seems to remember something.

"Someone finally gets it."
"Ribbit ribbit."
"Courage..."

"I did it." I said aloud, as the monsters finally recognize me.

Reaper Bird seems placated. 

"AlRiGhT, lEt'S gO..." Chara dragged me out of this room. "I tHiNk We NeEd To Go BaCk To ThE oThEr RoOm."

We left the room and headed to the left with two glowing noteboards.

ENTRY NUMBER 15 - Seems like this research was a dead end... But at least we got a happy ending out of it...? I sent the SOULs back to Asgore, returned the vessel to his garden... And I called all of the families and told them everyone's alive. I'll send everyone back tomorrow. : )

ENTRY NUMBER 16 - no No NO NO NO NO NO

"WhAt'S uP wItH tHe 'No's?" Chara asked, staring at the noteboard.

"I think the experiment must have failed." I guessed.

"HoW sTuPiD oF tHeM." She mumbled as she walked into the doorway and gasped. "FrIsK, cOuLd YoU cOmE hErE fOr A sEcOnD."

"What?"

"ThErE's A bAtHtUb AnD tHeRe'S sOmEtHiNg BeHiNd ThE cUrTaIn." She objected, pointing at the shadow wiggling around.

"Don't you wanna go over there and look."

"In YoUr DrEaMs, YoU sAy 'I cAn'T kIlL mOnStErS'. YoU dO iT." Chara jeered, pushing me in front.

"Fine." I walked up to the bathtub as the shadow moving around faster. I reached out to grab the curtain and pulled it aside. "There's nothing..."

"SeRiOuSlY?"

"Just found another key." I reached in and picked up the green key before attaching it on the key chain.

"CrAp, LeT's JuSt Go." She grumbled as we left the bathroom and went west. We came into another room and there's a large invention hanging from the ceiling. This thing looks familiar, it looks like Flowey's Omega Form. I saw the checkpoint star and touched it when the star formed a face then into white figurine.

CHECK - Lemon Bread

"WhAt KiNd Of MoNsTeR aRe YoU?" Chara asked.

"It look like a combination of Moldbygg, Shyren and Aaron." I hypothesized.

"So, HoW aRe YoU gOiNg To BeAt It?"

"By using ACT." I replied, recalling the strategy I have mention from encountering monsters.

You flexed your arm. Lemon Bread's muscle shakes...

"Welcome to my special hell." It drawled.

"HeLl Is My WoRlD!" Chara snapped.

"Do you think I'm pretty?" It asked.

"No, YoU'rE uGlY." I hit Chara in the arm and scolded at her, "Chara! That's rude!"

"Okay, here's another one." I swayed a little and hummed a music that I think Shyren might know.

You hum a familiar tune. Lemon Bread seems to remember something.

"I've felt this before." It whispered which sounds like Shyren speaking to me.

"It StoPpEd. CoUlD tHiS bE gOoDbYe!?" Chara asked.

"Nope, this monster can't hurt us." I replied as the monster finally understood me and left the area.

"Whew, that was close." I sighed, taking out a Hot Dog and ate it to regain my health. 

"HeY FrIsK, I tHiNk ThIs DeViCe WaS cAlLeD a 'DT Extraction Machine' aNd AcCoRdInG tO tHe StAtUs, It WaS iNaCtIvE." Chara stated, looking at the glowing noteboard next to the invention. I shrugged at her before heading to another room. Inside was a large TV with two shelves on each side. I turned on the green key switch and Chara was looking at the shelves.

"What are those?" I asked, taking out the object from the shelf and examine it.

"ThEy LoOk LiKe ViDeO tApEs, AnD iT cAn OnLy Be PlAyEd In A sOmE sOrT oF DVD pLaYeR." Chara guessed, looking through the videos. She looked up and saw a VHS player under the TV. "HeY, wAnNa WaTcH sOmE mOvIes?"

"Sure." We both sat down as Chara insert the tapes and watched them on screen.

(A/N: Let's skip that video part because it will longer than usual. Otherwise, look it up on the Internet.)

"Wow..." That was only thing we could say. All tapes we watched sounded familiar to the both of us. There are four voices altogether, one voice sounded like Asgore, another voice sounded like Toriel, another voice sounded like a young boy and the last one was... I turned to Chara who gawked at the screen.

"Sounds like you were there." I commented.

"ThAt WaS a LoNg TiMe, I wAs AdOpTeD bY a FaMiLy AnD I gOt IlL fRoM a MyStErIoUs IlLnEsS yEaRs AgO aND, I DiEd FrOm ThAt."

'That was the same thing when the monster's told me that story, about what happened.' I thought. "Well, let's get moving. We need one more key..." I told her, as we went to the left room and this room was filled with air conditioner and fridges. Chara looked inside of each fridge, found nothing and I was reading the glowing noteboards.

ENTRY NUMBER 19 -  The families keep calling me to ask when everyone is coming home. what am i supposed to say? I don't even answer the phone anymore.

ENTRY NUMBER 20: ASGORE left me five messages today. four about everyone being angry. one about this cute teacup he found that looks like me. Thanks Asgore.

"WhAt ThE? WhAt ThE hElL aRe YoU?" I heard Chara shouting at something, and turned around to see her standing back at the white slime who dissolved itself as a fridge and transformed into a familiar monster I've seen before.

It's so cold.

"Aww... it look likes one of the Snowdrakes." I murmured, looking at the sadden Snowdrake.

"WhAt'S tHaT gOiNg To Do?" Chara asked, staring at the Snowdrake too.

"I think all Snowdrake needs is a joke." I walked up to Snowdrake with a patient smile.

You told a bad pun about snow.

"Hey, what did the snowman say to the other snowman?" I asked and joked, "Nice to snow you."

Her expression starts to shift.

"haha... I remember..." she chuckled softly.

"ShE lIkEs ThAt JoKe, TeLl AnOtHeR oNe." Chara encouraged.

"Okay... what do Snowman like to do on the weekend?" I asked another and joked, "Chill out."

Her expression changes more.

"haha..." she laughed more.

"ShE's GeTtInG tHeRe, OnE mOrE jOkE..." Chara urged.

"Alright." I thought of another one and I got one, "Knock knock."

"who's there?"

"Dachshund."

"Dachshund who?"

"Dachshund through the snow~" I sanged. The Snowdrake finally let out a smile and laughed.

She's completely calmed down.

"I've done it once again!" I cried out in triumph, before doing a bow to her as she left the area.

"This is it. The final key." I picked the blue key from the ground, attach to the keychain and hurried back to the room with the golden flowers. I insert the key into the blue keyhole and turned on. "Let's head back to the large door."

"RiGhT." We both ran all the way back to the main door.

10 minutes later... 

"HeY FrIsK, yOu WaNt SoMe ChIpS?" Chara asked, looking at the vending machine. "It'S oNlY 25G a PaCkEt."

"Sure." I walked up next to her and insert 50G into the machine before pressing a button. The machine rattled a bit and dispense some chips out. I gave one of them to Chara as she instantly munch on them. I put mine away and opened the large door since four locks are unlocked and depart open. I stepped inside and saw the elevator buttons. I pressed one of the buttons - but nothing worked. We headed right and walking down the empty hallway until we're in some power room. The centre had a machine which generates the electricity for the elevator.

"TheRe's ThE pOwEr SoUrCe. LeT's TuRn ThIs On." Chara ordered, as I raised my hand to press the red button. The machine run its engine and soon the power was turned on - Yeah! But wait... There's drawling sounds coming from behind us.

"Ah CrAp!" I heard Chara cursed as I turned around to see four Amalgamates approaching us.

"Is this how we die?" I exclaimed, standhing behind Chara who moved away from me.

"No FrIsK, tHeY aRe HaRmLeSs, ThEy CaN't HuRt Us." She replied.

The creatures got closer and closer until they were about to get us when...

"Hey! Stop!!!" A voice shouted which causes the creatures to stop and turned around. Chara quickly disappeared out of sight when she heard footsteps and running towards me was none other than Alphys came to the rescue. "I got you guys some food, okay!?" She demanded as the monsters' face lit up with happiness and ran back to the other room. I sighed with relief as Alphys approached me.

"Sorry about that..." She apologized, "They get kind of sassy when they don't get fed on time." She looked at the potato chips in my hand, "I think they smelled the potato chips you had, and... " She looked back up stammering, "Anyway! The power went out, and I've been trying to turn it back on! But it seems like you were one step ahead of me. This was probably just a big inconvenience for you..." She smiled at me and continued, "B-but I appreciate that you came here to back me up! As I said, I was afraid I might... Not come back. But that's not because of these guys or anything! I was just worried I would be too afraid... to tell the truth that I might run away, or do something... cowardly." She looked away in a hint of sadness but she dropped that emotion, "Uh... I... I suppose I owe you an explanation." She fidgeted her fingers and she looked down again, "As you probably know, ASGORE asked me to study the nature of SOULs. During my research, I isolated a power I called "determination". I injected it into dying monsters so their SOULs would last after death. But the experiment failed."

"That explains the glowing noteboards..." I realized.

"You see, unlike humans', monsters' bodies don't have enough... physical matter to take those concentrations of "determination". Their bodies started to melt, and lost what physicality they had." Alphys resumed, "Pretty soon, all of the test subjects had melted together into... those." She pointed her thumb behind herself at the creatures I saw. "Seeing them like this, I knew... I couldn't tell their families about it. I couldn't tell anyone about it. No matter how much everyone was asking me. And I was too afraid to do any more work, knowing... everything I'd done so far had been such a horrific failure... but now." She let out a sigh, "Now, I've changed my mind about all this. I'm going to tell everyone what I've done... It's going to be hard." She clenched her hands into fists as she trembled, "Being honest... Believing in myself... I'm sure there will be times where I'll struggle. I'm sure there will be times where I screw up again. But knowing, deep down, that I have friends to fall back on..." She looked up and brought her smile, "I know it'll be a lot easier to stand on my own. Thank you." I nodded back at her as the creatures returned back to the room.

Alphys turned around and said, "Come on, guys. It's time for everyone to go home." And with that, the creatures followed Alphys out of the room again. Chara reappeared and sighed.

"Such A lOuSy LoNg TaLe To TeLl." She bragged. "FrIsK, I hElP yOu EnOuGh NoW. YoU sHoUlD gO hOmE nOw." With that, she disappeared into a black mist.

"Thanks Chara..." I thanked her as left the room and two remaining noteboards lit up.

ENTRY NUMBER 8 - I've chosen a candidate. I haven't told ASGORE yet, because I want to surprise him with it... In the center of his garden, there's something special. The first golden flower, that grew before all the others. The flower from the outside world. It appeared just before the queen left. I wonder... What happens when something without a SOUL gains the will to live?

ENTRY NUMBER 18: the flower's gone.

I went back inside the elevator when suddenly my phone rang, I picked it up and placed near my ear. "???... Are you there? It's been a long time, hasn't it...? But you've done well. Thanks to you, everything has fallen into place. ???... See you soon."

"What the?" I started, but the elevator suddenly shut itself and revved up to the top floor. Everything was then lit up in a bright light and knock me unconscious.

"HeY FrIsK, qUiT wItH tHe NaPpInG aNd WaKe Up!"

I woke up suddenly and Chara was staring down with the annoyed look on her face. I sat up and rubbed the back of my head.

"What happened?"

"ThE eLeVaToR gOt Up RoOtEd AnD I pUlLeD yOu OuT oF iT." Chara explained, pointing at the elevator now covered in vines and roots. "So, I bElIeVe YoU'rE gEtTiNg ThE gOoD eNdInG, rIgHt?"

"Yeah, but... I want to see someone before I go..." I murmured.

"AnD wHo WiLl ThAt Be, HmM?" Chara raised an eyebrow.

"Look, it doesn't concern you..." I snapped, holding back the blush on my face. Chara just stared and then shrugged her shoulders.

"VeRy WeLl. If YoU wAnT tO dO sOmEtHiNg, ThErE's AnOtHeR eLeVaToR tHaT gOeS bAcK tO tHe MTT ReSoRt."  She suggested, pointing at the direction I must go to. "ReMeMbEr, AnY bUsInEsS uNfInIsHeD, dO iT aNd ThEn CoMe BaCk HeRe... OkAy?"

"Okay, thanks..."

"SeE yA." Chara farewelled before disappearing once again.

I let out a heavy sigh and then something came into my mind, Sans is waiting for me... I hurried to the elevator and pressed the button to lead me back to the MTT Resort. "Don't worry... I'm coming back like I promise..."

Alright, that's that - Mega long chapter though! *head bang on the desk from exhaustion*. Also, my update is the slowest of all because I was busy writing this and the 'Bonus' Chapters, also with schoolwork. So far, Frisk finally became best friends with Alphys once again. But wait, she didn't forget about Sans's promise, huh? Okay, let's have a little game of 'Hang man' to see if you can guess what the next 'Bonus' chapter is about.
