Chapter 22 - Meet the King of Monsters, Asgore Dreemurr!
In the Living Room...
Mettaton: Oh darling, look at your READS! *staring at my laptop* You're over 2K!
Me: It's 2.8K, Mettaton. Besides, why not watch some anime with Alphys?
Mettaton: I'm not in a mood of watching movie, I want drama, action and bloodshed.
Sans: *glowing blue eye*
Mettaton: I-I mean... cosplay. Yeah, that's it. Cosplay!
Alphys: I've got some costumes from the basement. They're from my last years Halloween and birthday parties.
Me: I've got some too in my dress up room. By the way, Frisk, Napstablook and Papryus are doing dress up in there. *hears laughter*
Undyne: Sweet! I'm in! *runs to the dress up room*

What's up Buddies! Here's the next chapter (sorry about the long wait)and before I continued further, some haters I discovered on the Internet (such as Reddit)say that Sans shouldn't acting like a paedophile towards Frisk because of this... 'Okay, first off: Shipping kids with adults should never be okay. That's disgusting' - (A/N: that was a comment I found, by the way). Of course - I already understand that. Sheesh, but you know... in this story, I made Frisk 14 years old (says in Ch 3) so to a 18 year old Sans, I have distance the age a bit. Don't worry, it's not going sexual or anything but more like 'bonding'. Recently, I did that too. Some guy gave me a kiss as a 'test' to show whenever I met a guy, you do this. And guess what? He's 18.
Okay, I have creep you guys about my past story but don't worry, sometimes I like the older frisk x sans better. *turns to see Undyne's looking up on Soriel on her cellphone* Undyne! *summon my saber-tooth tiger gaster blasters* What the heck are you doing?
Undyne: What? I decide to check out this ship *scrolls down* and I would have to agree with you, that is a huge age difference there. *turns to Sans* You and Toriel are so strange somehow, you're freakin younger than that old lady! *looks up Frans* But here, is WAY better than that crappy ship. *shows to him* See? People think that you guys are better than that.
Alphys: And I totally ship them SO MUCH!
Frisk: O///O
Alphys: Oh, sorry. I was getting really excited.
Sans: *sigh* People is pointing out about necrophilia. - (sexual attraction to corpses)
Undyne: Well, tell the readers is awesome to be the undead. I love the undead!

Previously on undertale - The Story of Determination...
Frisk arrived to the place what appears to be called 'New Home' the Castle.
The monsters explained what happened in the past about a human who fell down and was adopted by a family and the tragedy of the two children's death from the humans.
She arrived at Judgement Hall where 'Sans' explains the judgement about the LOVE and EXP. He revealed that these two are acronym which really stands for is 'Execution Points' and 'Level of Violence'.
He was determined that Frisk didn't gain anything not even one and he was happy that Frisk was okay.
Sadly, Frisk told him that she needs to stop her relationship with him because she didn't know if she ever come back after defeating Asgore. Sans will untie the knot and hopefully she'll return, which leaves her in tears.

Frisk's P.O.V
I collapsed on my knees and cried. This is it... I'm going to face Asgore alone without Sans... I thought it was a stupid idea but it wasn't, I didn't misunderstood about anything. I heard the advice from both Papyrus and Alphys repeating in my head; they gave the info I need to speak with Asgore. My hands trembled as my heart beats rapidly, I took a deep breath and began to walk.
With every step I take, tears are still pouring down. I'm going to miss Sans so much... I hope he would never forget me. I came across a large doorway and then there's another staircase which leads to somewhere. I decided to check it out.
I went down deeper and saw a large grey basement with only seven grey coffins lying on the ground. Each of them has a coloured heart. There's purple, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and... red. I bent down to examine it and saw a grey tag on it. I wiped the dust and saw the name engraved on it.
Chara.
"Who's Chara?" I asked myself. Is this the human that came here before me? I shook my head and quickly exit the room and went to the doorway which is called the 'Throne Room'. I walked inside and I saw a garden with lots of golden flowers covering the entire floor - it look like the ones in the RUINS. I saw a large throne in the middle and standing in front of it was a large monster.
"Dum dee dum..." It hummed in a little tune, and heard something walking behind it. "Oh? Is someone there?" A voice asked which sounds like a father almost. "Just a moment! I have almost finished watering these flowers." It shook its arm a bit and I hear the water splashing quietly. "... Here we are!"
The monster then turned around slowly to be revealed as a large goat with golden blond mane and beard. He wore a crown on his head between the two large curved horns. He wore a suit of armour underneath a purple cape with yellow pauldrons. His face had a kind smile with relaxed red eyes... he looks like Toriel. 'Could this guy be Asgore?'
"Howdy! How can I..." He started and he stopped as he took a fewer steps back away from me. "Oh." He looked curiously at me, carefully observing. He noticed that I was a small human but I recommend to be 5'01" tall and took a look at my clothes. I had no armour or weapon like the humans wore in the war but I got a locket and a stick. "I so badly want to say, 'would you like a cup of tea?' But... You know how it is." He walked to one side of the room and turned to me. He smiled a little, "Nice day today, huh? Birds are singing, flowers are blooming... Perfect weather for a game of catch." His smile dropped when he notice that I was silent at the moment. He sighed, "You know what we must do. When you are ready, come into the next room." He turned around and walked up to the door behind the room. I followed him and saw a white sheet covering over another throne. Wait a minute... I walked over and touched the sheet, this chair... Suddenly, I remembered... The story of the past was linked to the clues of the castle and this means... that Toriel was once a queen to Asgore. It all makes sense now. I hurried up to the next room.
"How tense..." He spoke, "Just think of it like... A visit to the dentist." He continued walking and followed him up to the door, "Are you ready? If you are not, I understand. I am not ready either." He walked inside and as I stepped in, my eyes were widened as the aura was lighting up with white light and fades into the distance.
"What is this?" I asked.
"This is the barrier." He answered calmly, "This is what keeps us all trapped underground. If..." He glanced over his shoulders at me, "If by chance you have any unfinished business. Please do what you must." He turned his gaze back to the barrier and waited patiently.
"No, I'm ready..." I answered, softly gripping onto the stick. I waited a few seconds of silence until I hear a big sigh from him.
"... I see. This is it, then." He turned around to face me and suddenly seven holes appeared on either side of me, four left and three right. All elevated up with cylinder-like jars containing colourful hearts in each one - they look like the same ones from the coffins... are these the human SOULS that Undyne been talking about before our fight? I noticed one cylinder was empty which means my SOUL is the last piece.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
(A strange light fills the room.)
(Twilight is shining through the barrier.)
(It seems your journey is finally over.)
(You're filled with DETERMINATION.) (A/N: Wa-hoo!)
"Human... It was nice to meet you." He mumbled and lowered his head with his eyes closed. "Goodbye..." Unexpectedly, he thrust his left arm out which summons out a long, bright-red trident adorned with a flower. He made the options appeared which had FIGHT, ACT, ITEM and MERCY. He raised his trident over his head and slammed it onto the MERCY button, causing it to break into pieces like glass. I gasped...
ASGORE attacks!
CHECK - ASGORE - ATK 80 DEF 80
He swung his trident outward and cast out numerous of fireballs at me. It reminds me the battle I had with Toriel but even though, I suspect that his fireballs were actually larger than hers. I quickly ran around the room, dodging every fireball as I can.
"Asgore, please I don't want to fight you." I pleaded.
You quietly tell ASGORE you don't want to fight him. His hands tremble for a moment.
"Please human..." He murmured, making a fire chain and lashed out at me. I ducked down and rolled across the floor and got up.
"Asgore, please don't do this..." I continued pleading at him but he was not responding to me.
You quietly tell ASGORE you don't want to fight him. His breathing gets funny for a moment.
"I must..." He utter his words so softly, and made two rows of fireballs going down-left and up-right. I slipped and I got a fewer burn on my arms. I hissed in pain and gripped onto my arm.
"Asgore, stop fighting. We cannot hurt each other." I demanded.
You firmly tell ASGORE to STOP fighting. Recollection flashes in his eyes...
ASGORE's ATTACK dropped!
ASGORE's DEFENSE dropped!
"Sorry..." He closed his eyes and two colours flashed in his eyes; blue and orange blinks. He raised his trident and swung furiously at me. I screamed but suddenly those colours look familiar, it's like the laser ones. I stopped when he swung a blue and move on when he swung orange. I collapsed on my knees, still gripping onto my arm with the burn.
"Shoot, he's tougher than I thought from what Undyne have told me." I check my inventory and the only foods I got were 2 Nice Creams, 3 Hot Dog...? and... I took out a plate that held only a slice of Butterscotch-Cinnamon Pie. 'This pie... it belongs to Toriel.' I scoop the pie slice up to my mouth and ate it. Asgore looked at the food I was eating and smell it from afar. The aromatic of the pie fills his muzzle.
The smell reminded ASGORE of something...
ASGORE's ATTACK dropped!
ASGORE's DEFENSE dropped!
"Human... that pie, is that what I think it is?" He asked.
"Hm? You mean this?" I questioned, holding the last piece of the eaten slice.
"Yes, I remember I had that pie from a long time ago..." He replied. I finished the last piece and gripped over the stick.
"Well, that does it..." I mumbled.
Seems talking won't do any more good.
'Now what I'm going to do?' I thought bitterly.
"YoU'rE sTrUgGLiNg, ArE yOu NoT?" A mysterious voice whispered.
"Who are you?" I asked in my mind to whatever is speaking to me.
"JuSt A sPiRiT" The voice replied, "I KnOw ThAt ThIs GuY hErE iS sTrOnGeR ThAn YoU aRE, bUt I kNoW wHaT tHe BeSt OpTiOn Is..."
"How?"
"YoU mUsT FiGhT hIM." The voice answered, chuckling darkly.
"What? No, I can't hurt him..." I said.
"He AlReAdY DeStRoYeD ThE 'Mercy' BuTton." The voice retorted, "So YoU cAn'T sPaRe HiM aNyMoRE, sO if YoU wAnT, aLlOw Me To tAkE oVeR yOuR bOdY aNd Do ThIs FoR YoU."
"What? No, you will kill him..." I bleated.
"It'S tHe OnLy WaY tO sToP hIm, yOu HaVe No OtHeR cHoIcE..." The voice reasoned,"LeT mE hElP yOu."
"Why would I trust you?" I asked.
"BeCaUsE yOu HaVe To, I kNoW hOw To BeAt HiM, mY pOwErs CaN lEt YoU sLaSh ThRoUgH hIs ArMoUr AnD iNfLiCt pAiN oN hIm. oNcE hE wAs WeAkeN, yOu EiThEr FiNiSh HiM OfF oR sPaRe yOuR lIfe oN hIm. ThAt WiLl Be AlL."
I gritted my teeth, should I trust this voice? Well, from it was saying. Fight is only way to beat him, so I let out a sigh of defeat. "Fine."
"A wIsE dEcIsIoN, vErY WeLl." The voice smirked, and I saw a dark mist appearing around me, "I hOpE yOu DoN't MiNd, BuT I neEd tO uSe YoUr DaGgEr FoR tHiS fIgHt." The mist engulfed inside me and I felt a sharp pain throughout my entire body.
I gripped my head and screamed, "Careful in there, it's not a doll you know." I stopped and I saw myself hovering my body... I'm a spirit.
"Oh, QuIt WhInInG aLrEaDy!" The voice scolded, "I WaS tRyInG tO gEt uSe Of YoUr BoDy." The poltergeist moved my arms and legs a bit, "MaN, yOu ArE wEaK aNd SoFt LiKe A rAgGeD dOlL, nO wOnDeR yOur LV iS oNe. BuT wHo CaReS, mY PoWerS wIlL cHaNgEd InTo NiNeTeen."
"Oh yeah, I have one question to ask you..." I wondered, hovering beside my body.
"WhAt'S tHaT?"
"What's your name?"
"It'S... ChArA." The voice responded, taking out the Worn Dagger and looks up at Asgore with glowing red replacing over my brown eyes. I gasped as the spirit Chara charged towards him with incredible speed. Asgore swung his trident to sent out some fireballs at me. Chara controlled my body to dodge and jumped at him with the dagger raised up high. "TaKe ThIs!" The voice was replaced with its own feminine voice which sounds demonic. The dagger was swiped across his armour which leaves a large cut on it. Asgore groaned and stumbled back to gripped his chest and fell on one knee.
Asgore has low HP.
Asgore's Health Bar: 1
"Chara!" I cried.
"ReLaX, hE's NoT dIeD yEt..." Chara replied with a smirk. Asgore clutched onto his chest and looked at me and my body.
"Ah... So that is how it is." He assured, lowering his gaze at the ground "I remember the day after my son died. The entire underground was devoid of hope. The future had once again been taken from us by the humans. In a fit of anger, I declared war."
'It's just like in the story...' I thought.
"I said that I would destroy any human that came here. I would use their souls to become godlike... and free us from this terrible prison. Then, I would destroy humanity... And let monsters rule the surface, in peace. Soon, the people's hopes returned."
"Why would you destroy humanity? You thought we are your enemies? For second, I didn't hurt anybody since I fell here." I asked.
"DiDn'T yOu FoRgEt I wAs HeRe tOo?" Chara asked, crossing my arms over my chest. "I dIeD bEcAuSe Of ThAt."
"My wife, however, became disgusted with my actions. She left this place, never to be seen again." He continued.
"He's talking about Toriel." I realized.
"Truthfully, I do not want power. I do not want to hurt anyone. I just wanted everyone to have hope..." He looked up at me and Chara. "But... I cannot take this any longer. I just want to see my wife. I just want to see my child."
"MaN, tHiS gOoFbAlL iS oNe HeCk Of A lOsEr..." Chara jeered, and stared at me, "YoU, nOw'S tHe TiMe To MaKe YoUr DeCiSiOn... GoOd LuCk." Before I could say something, I was back in my body holding the dagger. I looked around for Chara but she already disappeared.
"Please... Young one..." I turned back to Asgore, "This war has gone on long enough. You have the power... Take my soul, and leave this cursed place." I looked down at the dagger and turned to see the broken 'Mercy' button. I dropped the dagger which clatters on the ground, causing Asgore to look up at me. He watched as I walked over to the Mercy button, reassembled the pieces together and once completed, I rest my hand over it. Asgore gasped.
"After everything I have done to hurt you... You would rather stay down here and suffer... Than live happily on the surface?" He asked.
"Yes Asgore, I don't want to hurt you anymore." I said gently, began to walk up to him, "I was determined to save you and the monsters from the underground. I heard you want freedom and that's what I'll do to whatever I can to bring you and your kingdom to the surface once again..." I approached him and placed my hands over his enormous furry hands.
Asgore looked down and a smile came across his face, "Human... I promise you... For as long as you remain here... My wife and I will take care of you as best we can. We can sit in the living room, telling stories... Eating butterscotch pie... We could be like..." He leaned down to my height, "Like a family..." He brought out his hands and wrapped around me carefully and carefully brought me to his chest. I hugged him and he hugged me back.
"I hope you would have a family again..." I whispered.
"Is that so?" A demonic voice asked.
To be Continued...

My Reaction: I love this guy, he is so much like a father to me. (Don't point out about 'Daddy' Sans, okay?!)
Well guys, that's that. Sorry, I was having a hard time to update more but I lost track of time because of the school exam or something. Also, I didn't realize that everyone was hating Asgore because of the murder of the children. Everyone thought his actions was making him a miserable, cruel creature - quite a let down. But I wish he would figure something out, otherwise Soriel fans are taking this the wrong way to 'mate' a goat mum, they're ruining the family here. This is going to be an awful experience!
Don't forget to leave a VOTE and COMMENT for this chapter because the next will be the path to the Neutral Ending.
Peace Out Buddies!
