Previously on Undertale - The Story of Determination...

Frisk was ready to face off against the entertainment killer robot, Mettaton.

It turns out that this the last show was the grand finale.

Frisk drop-pop her cherry and blows the stage away with her dance and poses.

Finally, over 10,000 ratings. Everyone was enjoyed with Mettaton's performance and thanks to Frisk, she is a superstar.

At last, Alphys followed to the elevator and told Frisk, that the human SOUL isn't powerful enough to break the barrier but only takes at least a human and monster soul - she had lied to her. Now, Frisk is on her way to the elevator.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Frisk's P.O.V

It was taking a long wait to get to whatever this elevator takes me. I was excited, scared and sad. I was excited because I'm going home back to the surface, scared because I was going to meet Asgore and finally sad, I'm going to leave Sans behind... it starts to break my heart in pieces. I'm going to miss him so much including the things we have done together; the date, the love and... the kiss.

The elevator stopped and fell onto my bottom. I got up as the door parted open. I stepped out and everything I see were grey like an old 80's TV show. I followed along the path and in the view was the city like the ones back in the ruins. Everything starts to look a little unstable now. There's no monsters here, not even one. Walked into another area... wait, this place looks familiar... it look like Toriel's house.

I walked inside and everything looks exactly the same. My mind flashed the images of the home in the RUINS. I saw a ghost of Toriel standing in front of me with a gentle smile and then disappeared. I walked around the house and found a note attach to the padlocks.

Howdy! I'm in the garden. If you have anything you need to get off your chest, please don't hesitate to come. The keys are in the kitchen and the hallway.

Suddenly, monsters started to appear. I put up my guard but I quickly realized that they look like don't want to fight but they are here for something. First came the Froggits and spoke in a tale.

"A long time ago, a human fell into the RUINS."

"Injured by its fall, the human called out for help."

'Wait a minute... I wasn't the only one here but someone else came here before me.' I thought suddenly. I went into the kitchen and found a key on the counter. I took the key and link it onto my key-chain of my cellphone. Next, were the Whimsuns.

"ASRIEL, the king's son, heard the human's call."

"He brought the human back to the castle."

"Asriel, huh? That's an interesting name." I left the kitchen and walked down the hallway. I found the door where Toriel took me in and have this room as my own. I went inside and saw two beds here instead of one. I found two white presents wrapped in red ribbon. I unwrapped the first present and found a heart-shaped locket which says 'Best Friends Forever'. I put it around my neck and smiled down at it.

You equipped the Heart Locket. (Defense +15)

I unwrapped the second present and inside was a worn dagger. I took the dagger and put it away for now. I left the room and saw two doors next to each other. Three Moldsmals appeared and continued the story.

"Over time, ASRIEL and the human became like siblings."

"The King and Queen treated the human child as their own."

"The underground was full of hope."

"Wait a minute, king and queen? What kind of story is this?" I asked myself, and check the other rooms. One room looks like Toriel's and other room, I don't know. I took the key from the table and attach to the key-chain. I went inside the other room and saw a huge bed, a wardrobe and drawer, a study desk with a chair and lamp. In the far corner was a trophy. I bent down and saw the writing on it, it says 'Number 1 Nose-Nuzzle Champs '98!'

"So, this house is actually happened in the past. I think Toriel must have been here years ago and then she end up living in the RUINS, but I don't know why she did that for. Did something happened that made her leave?" I walked over to the desk and climbed on the chair. I found a diary left open with some handwritings which every page says 'Nice day today!' I was thinking that this guy 'Asgore' was living here too.

I recalled the information and keep them in my head. I need ask Toriel or Asgore about this because these clues are somehow connected to each other. I walked back to the padlock and unlocked the chain. I went down the stairs which looks like the basement.

"Then... One day..."

"The human became very ill."

"What? The human got ill?" That's another part of the story. I think the monsters are talking about the past that happened in this home. I walked down further and three Vegetoids appeared.

"The sick human had only one request."

"To see the flowers from their village."

"But there was nothing we could do."

'Oh, she was desperate about this.' I thought.

Next were the Looxs.

"The next day."

"The next day."

"..."

"The human died."

I gasped. The human died at the young age? I was getting worried, this story was getting very sad. A human who was adopted by a family suddenly died from being ill. I was sick in the stomach and I continued. There's Snowdrakes.

"ASRIEL, wracked with grief, absorbed the human's SOUL."

"He transformed into a being with incredible power."

Woah, becoming an ultimate being? How was he going to be like that? Questions are filling up my little brain with so much explanation about this. This is so much like a true story about the first human and the family in grief about its death. Three Icecaps appeared.

"With the human SOUL, ASRIEL crossed through the barrier."

"He carried the human's body into the sunset."

"Back to the village of the humans."

(A/N: Oh my god, I'm going to cry now :'( )

"This is... so sad." I whispered, feeling the tears welling in my eyes. Three Woshuas continued the story.

"ASRIEL reached the center of the village."

"There, he found a bed of golden flowers."

"He carried the human onto it."

'So ASRIEL took the human up there like he promised for his best friend.' I thought. Three Shyrens appeared speaking a soft voice.

"Suddenly, screams rang out."

"The villagers saw ASRIEL holding the human's body."

"They thought that he had killed the child."

"What?" That doesn't make sense, Monsters would never hurt a child like the human was. ASRIEL was the one who brought it here in this village. Next were the Dummies from the Ruins.

"The humans attacked him with everything they had."

"He was struck with blow after blow."

"ASRIEL had the power to destroy them all."

"Aww... Poor Asriel..." I wiped the incoming tears from my eyes. Knight Knight and Madjick appeared.

"But..." Knight Knight began.

"ASRIEL did not fight back." Madjick finished.

"Clutching the human..."

"ASRIEL smiled, and walked away."

"He... couldn't fight..." I was having a hard time to hold back my tears. Three Final Froggits appeared.

"Wounded, ASRIEL stumbled home."

"He entered the castle and collapsed."

"His dust spread across the garden."

"So ASRIEL... died..." I couldn't bare anymore, and the tears started downpour from my eyes. Whimsalots flew above and continued.

"Kingdom fell into despair."

"The king and queen had lost two children in one night."

"The humans had once again taken everything from us."

Astigmatisms were up next.

"The king decided it's time to end our suffering."

"Every human who falls down here must die."

"With enough souls, we can shatter the barrier forever."

The three monsters, Moldsmal, Loox and Misgosp.

"It's not long now." Loox started.

"King ASGORE will give us hope, King ASGORE will let us go and King ASOGRE will save us all." All of them said together.

"Oh no... that means... I'm going to die."

Pyrope and two Vulkins appeared.

"You should be smiling, too." Pyrope beamed.

"Aren't you excited? Aren't you happy?" Two Vulkins said at the same time.

"I'm not sure, I was but..." I let out a sigh and saw a single Froggit staring with a smile.

"You're going to be free." It croaked.

I wiped the tears from my eyes and sniffled. The story of the human and their best friend ASRIEL is so sad. Two of them died together to live at peace of friendship. I turned to enter the doorway and came into a huge corridor of gold and orange. Numerous of pillars were lined up on either side, the stained yellow windows with the Delta Rune symbol and finally the tile marble floor. I walked down the middle of the corridor and hear the bells ringing loudly throughout the hall.

"So you finally made it. The end of your journey is at hand. In a few moments, you will meet the king." The deep voice rang out, "Together... You will determine the future of this world. That's then. Now. You will be judged. You will be judged for your every action. You will be judged for every EXP you've earned." I looked around nervously, whoever talks to me like this is determined about me.

"What's EXP?"

"What's EXP?" The voice questioned, and then replied "It's an acronym. It stands for 'Execution Points."

That answer banged hard on my chest as I heard that answer which makes me nervous to stumble back. EXP means execution points? Then, that's why Toriel teach me about having 'friendly conservation', she was aware that I was going to kill everybody but I was too innocent so I can't hurt nobody.

"A way of quantifying the pain you have inflict on others." The voice described, "When you kill someone, your EXP increases. When you have enough EXP, your LOVE increases."

LOVE. Haven't I heard that word before? Suddenly, I remembered. The day when I met Flowey at the RUINS and saying stuff about LOVE through his fake happy disguise.

"LOVE, too, is an acronym. It stands for 'Level of Violence.'" The voicer explained.

My eyes were widened in fear as my heart was tugged hard against my chest. LOVE isn't about sharing through by heart but eliminated everyone.

"A way of measuring someone's capacity to hurt." The voice resumed, "The more you kill, the easier it becomes to distance yourself. The more you distance yourself, the less you will hurt. The more easily you can bring yourself to hurt others." I heard footsteps and I turned around to see the movement from within the shadows made by the pillars. The light shined down on a familiar figure. It was Sans.

"... but you. You never gained any LOVE." He said gladly, "'course, that doesn't mean you're completely innocent or naïve. Just that you kept a certain tenderness in your heart." He walked closer to me, "No matter the struggles or hardships you faced... " He stopped at fewer inches away from me, my eyes were locked with his. "You strived to do the right thing." He raised his hand to rest upon my shoulder, "You refused to hurt anyone, even when you ran away, you did it with a smile." He smiled at me, "You never gained LOVE, but you gained love. Does that make sense?"

"Maybe." I replied softly.

"Maybe or maybe not. You're about to face the greatest challenge of your entire journey." Sans continued, "Your actions here... will determine the fate of the entire world. If you refuse to fight... Asgore will take your soul and destroy humanity." I felt his hand tightened more on my shoulder, "But if you kill Asgore and go home... monsters will remain trapped underground. What will you do?"

This is a tough choice, it's either Asgore kill me or I kill him? But whoever this guy is, I don't think I would kill him. I know it was a bad choice but I must save the monsters, giving them peace and helping to bring them to the surface where they'll be happy again.

"Well, if I were you, I would have thrown in the towel by now." Sans babbled. "But you didn't get this far by giving up, did you?"

"No." I responded.

"That's right. You have something called 'determination'." Sans stated. "So as long as you hold on... as long as you do what's in your heart... I believe you can do the right thing."

"I'll do it." I admitted.

"Alright, we're all counting on you, Frisk." He got a little closer and stared down at me, "Good luck." He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back tightening him around my embrace. This is goodbye and... I have to tell him something before I continued and he leaves the area.

"Frisk..." He mumbled against my ear, "I'm so sorry that I scare like that from back at the MTT Resort... I didn't mean it. I was so stupid."

"It's okay Sans... but there's one last thing." I started.

Sans pulled back at what he had heard and stared at me, "What is it?"

"Our relationship needs to be stop here..."

Sans gasped, "What? No, you can't, we can't, even I can't. Why are you saying this?"

"Because it was right thing to do!" I bawled, ducking my head down with tears welling in my eyes, "I have to face Asgore alone and I can't keep this relationship anymore. Whether I die or not, the choice is depends not on me, but to my friends..." I looked back at him with a tear-streaked face. "I'm... sorry Sans." He frowned a bit, wiping the tears from my eyes and place his finger under my chin, and tilt my head up a bit to press a soft kiss on my lips. After a few seconds, he pulled back slowly and gave a small smile.

"Alright, we untie the knot..." He whispered, before taking a step back and snapped his fingers, "Goodbye..." And with that, he disappeared leaving me alone in despair.

My Reaction: 1.) This story... so sad :( 2.) D': Friendzone *faceplant on my desk*

Okay, before you say anything don't get mad okay? Frisk was only doing this because if she dies and have your soul taken, then humanity will be crushed. But if she kills Asgore, she can go home and the monsters are left trapped. What will she do? Find out next time.

Alphys: Don't tell me your cutting the knot already!

Sans: I think it's back to the other fan- *shoves the pillow in the face by Papyrus*

Papyrus: NO, NOT THAT PLEASE! WE'VE GOT SOME SUPPORTERS HERE! SO REMAIN SILENCE!

Undyne: Yeah, break your little girl's heart, I will pummel you into dust!

Frisk: *embracing me in sadness*

Me: It's okay, baby girl. *nuzzling her* I still love you.
