Papyrus: AZURE! YOU WILL SENT TO PRISON IF YOU SAY ANOTHER PUN AGAIN!

Sans: Aw come on, bro. Chair up!

Papyrus: *screams to his room*

Me: Ha ha. Puns never gets old.

Undyne: *turns to Sans* So you are Papyrus's brother, right?

Sans: Yeah, I'm Sans the Skeleton. The one with a Skele-TON of puns. *sits down next to Frisk*

Me: *giggles and sigh* Live While We're Young...

What's up Buddies! Sorry about the late update, I got a serious problem about my eyes since I was working on this chapter all day and I got banned from technology for a week DX. But don't worry, I've got ready and hope you guys would like it, still more to come. P.S. This chapter will contain the answers from the quiz game, please I recommend you don't cheat on this game. Also this is a friendship with Alphys.

Previously on Undertale - The Story of Determination...

Frisk went over to Undyne where Papyrus that her and Undyne could hang out.

Papyrus left the house due they need some time to know each other better and became friends.

Undyne may looked upset about the fight early but she doesn't understand Frisk wants to be friends.

Papyrus thought this was a bad idea and he failed.

But Undyne decided they will be not as friends to Frisk, but BESTIES!!

Undyne told Frisk about her life as the head of the Royal Guard and told about Papyrus's training which was cooking.

So since Papyrus was late for his cooking lesson, she'll have cooking lesson with Frisk instead. (A Chaotic Cooking Disaster).

Later on, they burnt down her house, undyne was about to fight Frisk one last time but they can't allow that since how strongly bonded they were together.

Finally, Undyne accepted to be a friend and decides to hang out with Papyrus.

Frisk's P.O.V

I made my way back to the Riverperson and ask for a ride back to Hotland. The difference is that the boat had a head of a cat or is that dog? Anyway, we took sail back to Hotland. I was watching and giggling at how the boat ran across the water with legs.

"Tra la la. Temmie Village... the room before the darkening lantern room." It said, before approaching on shore of Hotland. The bottom looked like a giant furnace. "Come again sometimes. Tra la la"

I departed from the boat and walked back where I came and looked at the large building up ahead.

(Seeing such a strange laboratory in a place like this... You're filled with determination.)

I looked on my left and saw two black armour guards who were standing together to block the path. One guard had a rectangular helmet and two large curve horns. The other guard had sharper helmet with two wing ears on each side. I walked up to them but the first guard stick out his hand in front of my face.

"Sorry... UNDYNE, like, told us there was totally a human in the area." He said, and his voice sounds a bit too sassy. "So, like, us Royal Guards are blocking off the elevators for now. Ngah! Even if the elevators aren't working anyway, we'll do our best, Ms. UNDYNE!"

"Okay, I'm outta here!" I said awkwardly, walking away from those guards went to the laboratory. As I approached the door, it automatically opens for me. I walked in and the lab was pitch black that I can't see anything in here. I saw a light in the distance and walked over to see me on the big screen - is there a camera around here? I looked around and I couldn't find the light switch. After I walked deeper, I heard an automatic door open and saw a small shadow stepping out by a few meters away from me. The shadow walked up to the switch and flipped them on, turning the lights on which brightens up the area. The shadow revealed to be a small yellow dinosaur with glasses and wearing a white lab coat. It walked up and stumbled back when it saw me looking.

"Oh. My god. I didn't except you to show up so soon!" The feminine voice spoke from the dinosaur, who looks around stubborn. "I haven't showered, I'm barely dressed, it's all messy, and..." She stopped rambling and saw me dumbfounded. "Ummm... H-h-hiya! I'm Dr. Alphys. I'm ASGORE's royal scientist!" She greeted nervously, her words are very stuttered. "B-b-but, ahhhh, I'm not one of the bad guys!"

"Don't worry, I understand you." I said kindly, "I'm Frisk." Alphy nodded to know my name and she fidgets her fingers a bit.

"Actually, since you stepped out of the RUINS, I've, um... been 'observing' your journey through my console."

"Are you the one putting the cameras everywhere?" I thought, my eyebrows twitching into an irk.

"Your fights... Your friendships... Everything!" She yelled happily, throwing her arms about everywhere,"I was originally going to stop you, but... watching someone on a screen really makes you root for them." She blushed a bit, "S-so, ahhh, now I want to help you using my knowledge, I can easily guide you through Hotland! I know a way right to ASGORE's castle, no problem!"

"Not a bad idea. Thanks a lot, really could use a guidance around this place." I said, making her blush and nodded but stay quiet. 

"Well, actually, umm, there's just a tiny issue." She said, making a 'small amount' sign with her fingers "A long time ago, I made a robot named Mettaton. Originally, I built him to be an entertainment robot. Uh, you know, like a robotic TV star or something. Anyway, recently I decided to make him more useful. You know, just some small practical adjustments. Like, um... Anti... anti-human combat features? Of c-course, when I saw you coming, I immediately decided... I have to remove those features!"

"So you did, right?"

"Unfortunately, I may have made a teensy mistake while doing so." She replied. "And, um..." She sweats a bit, "Now he's an unstoppable killing machine with a thirst for human blood. Ehehehehe..." She laugh nervously. "Heh."

'Oh, Jesus Christ!' I thought, screaming in my mind.

"But, ummm, hopefully we won't run into him!" She said, pressing her two index fingers together. There was an awkward silence until we heard a loud bang and vibration beneath our feet. "Did you hear something?"

"Yep, I did."

The banging got louder and hitting more three times.

"Oh no."

There was a blast behind the wall and the room turned white from the bright light and then faded into darkness.

"OHHHH YES!" The robotic male voice spoke, "WELCOME, BEAUTIES..." *drum roll in the background* A spotlight appeared from the ceiling shining down on a robot who came out from behind the hole on the wall. He was a large grey rectangular shape with a yellow 5x5 grid screen, five buttons and four dial buttons, two slinging arms with white gloves, and he was rolling around on one wheel. He held a microphone in his right hand and yelled, "... TO TODAY'S QUIZ SHOW!!!" (A/N: Looks like a massive calculator on wheels XD ).

Out of nowhere, the sounds of the audience applauds filled the area as the lights came on with two colourful disco balls shining down rainbow colours and the title above him that read 'GAME SHOW'. I was giggled with a mixed of embarrass, surprise and happy. I turned to Alphys, she was blushing in embarrassment - I could tell because she was covering her face.

"That's Mettaton, Frisk..." Alphys mumbled, pointing at the entertainment robot who glowed his red 'M' on the grid screen.

"OH BOY! I CAN ALREADY TELL IT'S GONNA BE A GREAT SHOW!" Mettaton yelled into the microphone, "EVERYONE GIVE A BIG HAND FOR OUR WONDERFUL CONTESTANT!" He clapped his hands as confetti rained down on me. "NEVER PLAYED BEFORE, GORGEOUS?" He asked, and hold the microphone out to my face.

"No." I answered.

"NO PROBLEM!" He said, as he strolled back, "IT'S SIMPLE! THERE'S ONLY ONE RULE. ANSWER CORRECTLY..." He flashed a number '1' on the screen and held up his finger. The music stopped as he said in a deadpan voice, "OR YOU DIE!!!"

"Oh no..." I thought.

Mettaton attacks!

CHECK - METTATON - ATK 10  DEF 999 - His metal body renders him invulnerable to attack.

"LET'S START WITH AN EASY ONE!!" He said, as he pulled out some quiz cards and read them aloud, "What's the prize for answering correctly?"

A: Money B: Mercy C: New car or D: More questions

"How the hell do I suppose to answer that?" I asked aloud and looked around, there's no one there except Alphys... Wait a second - what she's doing? I looked at Alphys and she was making hand signs. She made a shape of a 'D'... She was giving me the answer? I looked at the clock, it was counting down from 30 seconds.

"It's D!" I answered, biting down on my lip hoping this is the right answer.

"RIGHT! SOUNDS LIKE YOU GET IT!" Mettaton said, as confetti sprinkled everywhere whenever I got the answer right.

Alphys gave me a thumbs-up and I secretly mouth the word 'thank you' - hopefully Mettaton doesn't notice that we're... cheating.

The quiz show continues.

"HERE'S YOUR TERRIFIC PRIZE!!" He read out the next card, "What's the king's full name?"

A: Lord Fluffybuns B: Fuzzy Pushover C: Asgore Dreemurr or D: Dr. Friendship

Alphys made a quick hand sign to make a 'C'.

"It's C!" I answered.

"CORRECT! WHAT A TERRIFIC ANSWER!" Mettaton exclaimed.

The quiz show continues.

"ENOUGH ABOUT YOU. LET'S TALK ABOUT ME!" He read out the third card, "What are robots made of?"

A: Hopes & Dreams B: Metal & Magic C: Snips & Snails or D: Sugar & Spice.

Alphys made a 'B' sign.

"It's B."

"TOO EASY FOR YOU, HUH????????????????" He said, strolling over to me. All I did was shrugged my shoulders.

The quiz show continues.

"HERE'S ANOTHER EASY ONE FOR YOU!" He read the fourth card, and talks really fast "Two trains, Train A and Train B, simultaneously depart Station A and Station B. Station A and Station B are 262.5 miles apart from each other. Train A is moving at 124.7 mph towards Station B, and Train B is moving at 253,5 mph towards Station A. If both trains departed at 10:00AM and it is now 10:08, how much longer until both trains pass each other?"

A: 31.054 minutes B: 16.232 minutes C: 32.049 minutes or D: 32.58 minutes

"Holy snap! That was a long question!" I thought as I peeked at Alphys who quickly calculates in her mind before making another hand sign, 'D'.

"It's D."

"WONDERFUL! I'M ASTOUNDED, FOLKS!" He pulled back dramatically, not understanding how I got the most difficult questions right at a young age.

The quiz show continues.

"DON'T COUNT ON YOUR VICTORY..." He scolded slightly but keep his anger inside of him. He took out a jar and hold it up for me to see. "How many flies are in this jar?"

A: 54 B: 53 C: 55 or D: 52

Despite the flies are so tiny even I count them fast enough, but nothing stops Alphys because she already knows how many they are, and made a 'A' sign.

"It's A."

"CORRECT! YOU'RE SO LUCKY TODAY!!!"

The quiz show continues.

"LET'S PLAY A MEMORY GAME!" He looked at the sixth card and showed the image of a monster, "What monster is this?"

A: Froggit B: Whimsun C: Moldsmal or D: Mettaton

"Hang on, I know that monster, I seem one in the RUINS. It's a Froggit!" I was to answer it but Alphys quickly waved her hands trying to stop me because she thought I might get the answer wrong. She made a 'D' sign for me. 'Why?' I thought, but I know that Alphys thinks that Mettaton is tricking me or something.

"It's... D." I managed to answer.

"I'M SO FLATTERED YOU REMEMBERED!" He exclaimed, zooming out the image to reveal the Froggit face on a shirt of him.

"That's why."

The quiz show continues.

"BUT CAN YOU GET THIS ONE?" He looked at the eighth card, "Would you smooch a ghost?"

A: Heck Yeah B: Heck Yeah C: Heck Yeah or D: Heck Yeah

"What the hell?" I thought aloud, "All the selection have the same answers. Even that Alphys was too suspicious about this." I looked at Alphys and yep, she was giving me that look.

"B."

"GREAT ANSWER! I LOVE IT!!!!!!" Mettaton exclaimed.

The quiz show continues.

"HERE'S A SIMPLE ONE!" He looked at the ninth card and chuckled, "How many letters in the name Mettaton nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn..."  He's putting a lot of 'n' to make his name longer.

A: ? B: ? C: ? or D: ?

But the answers were going crazy up and down with random numbers but Alphys knows which one... she made a 'C' sign.

"C." I answered and the numbers have stopped to show what they are.

A: 81 B: 76 C: 78 or D: 80

"OF COURSE THAT WAS EASY FOR YOU!" He exclaimed.

The quiz show continues.

"TIME TO BRING OUT THE BIG GUNS!" He read out the tenth card, and wasn't like the one I heard, "In the dating simulation video game "Mew Mew Kissy Cutie" what is Mew Mew's favourite foods?"

"OH! OH! I KNOW THIS ONE!!!" Alphys shouted, waving her hand knowing this answer to this question, "IT'S SNAIL ICE CREAM!!!!!! IN THE FOURTH CHAPTER EVERYONE GOES TO THE BEACH!!! AND SHE BUYS ICE CREAM FOR ALL OF HER FRIENDS!!! BUT IT'S SNAIL FLAVOUR AND SHE'S THE ONLY ONE WHO WANTS IT!! IT'S ONE OF MY FAVOURITE PARTS OF THE GAME BECAUSE IT'S ACTUALLY A VERY POWERFUL message about friendship and..." She slowed down when she saw Mettaton staring at her.

He shook his head, "ALPHYS, ALPHYS, ALPHYS." And wags his finger back and forth, "YOU AREN'T HELPING OUR CONTESTANT, ARE YOU?" Alphys shook her head quickly and sweats hard in embarrassment, "OOOOOOOH!!! YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME. I'LL ASK A QUESTION... YOU'LL BE SURE TO KNOW THE ANSWER TO!"

"What's up with Alphys?" I thought, looking at her chewing her fingers nervously.

"Who does Dr. Alphys have a crush on?"  He asked.

A: Undyne B: Asgore C: The human or D: Don't know 

"Alphys liked someone?" I looked surprised, never thought that Alphys had like someone. Of course, she was shaking her hands at me as to say 'don't answer that'. "But I don't know who?" I tapped my finger on my head to remember something, there's no time limit for this. Suddenly, I remembered... someone told me about something about being friends with Alphys... I think I knew the answer of who. "It's A."

Alphys squealed and hid her face behind her hands, blushing red as a tomato.

"SEE, ALPHYS? I TOLD YOU IT WAS OBVIOUS." Mettaton said, "EVEN THE HUMAN FIGURED IT OUT." (A/N: Hooray for the OTP pairing #2 - Undyne x Alphys!)

"I did?" I asked, pointing to myself.

He turned to me, "YES, SHE SCRAWLS HER NAME IN THE MARGINS OF HER NOTES." He answered. "SHE NAMES PROGRAMMING VARIABLES AFTER HER. SHE EVEN WRITES STORIES OF THEM TOGETHER..." (A/N: Fanfiction anyone? or perhaps Wattpad?) "SHARING A DOMESTIC LIFE. PROBABILITY OF CRUSH: 101 PERCENT. MARGIN OF ERROR. ONE PERCENT."

'Could've ship them I guess.' I thought, smiling a little.

"WELL, WELL, WELL! WITH DR. ALPHYS HELPING YOU! THIS SHOW HAS NO DRAMATIC TENSION! WE CAN'T GO ON LIKE THIS! BUT... THIS IS JUST THE PILOT EPISODE! NEXT UP MORE DRAMA!!! MORE ROMANCE!!! MORE BLOODSHED!!! UNTIL NEXT TIME, DARLINGS!!!" He thrust his arms inside his body and rocketed himself out of the laboratory.

"..." I turned to Alphys who finally relaxed from her embarrassment. "Well, that was certainly something." I made my way over to the red-faced dinosaur, "You seemed to have blushed really hard back there." I confided.

"Th-That last question..." She clucked, "He wasn't s-supposed to ask that one..."

"Nah, I won't worried about that much. He might have spoil your personal secrets, but that doesn't matter to me." I assured, patting her back. "Well, I gotta go..." I was about to made my way to the back door and when...

"Wait, wait!" She called and ran up to me, "Let me give you my ph-phone number!" I took out my cell phone and handed out to her, "Th-then... m-maybe... If you need help, I could..." She took the phone, and gasped. "Wh... where'd you get that phone!? It's ANCIENT!" She examined my phone and adjust her glasses, "It doesn't even have texting..." After examining my phone, she got an idea. "W-wait a second, please!" She ran to her workshop and I could hear drills, hammers, and zapping. After a few minutes, she came back with my phone. "Here, I upgraded it for you!" She handed back my phone, and I turned around, looks brand new. "It can do texting, items, it's got a key chain." She pointed at the silver ring tied with a chain. "I even signed you up for the underground's No. 1 social network! Now we're officially friends! Ehehehe!" She sassed, laughing happily and then slow down knowing that she was awkwardly embarrassing herself. "I'm going to the bathroom." She excused herself, quickly ran into the elevator door and shuts it.

'Aww, she's so cute when she's flustered.' I thought, giggling. I decided to take a look around the laboratory. I went up the escalator and saw four large bookshelves with different books. I took out a red that says about 'Human History' and while reading, this book is a comic book with action characters and speech bubbles. I found a strange machine that feeds on green plants to give off pink goop in a bucket. There was a work table with plans and hung up on the wall in front of the table was some sort of poster of an anime girl with pink hair and green eyes; on top of the head were cat ears, a neko perhaps. Lab coats in the wardrobe, letters on the shelves and a new invention that folds down into a bed and folds up into a box. I found a poster of TV premiere of Mettaton. I read the flap below the picture.

'Funny for a entertaining killer robot...' I thought, as I went back down the escalator and check on the table since I skipped due to the black out. The desk was littered with written papers, and there is a computer, I looked at the screen and some sort of puzzle based in Snowdin.

"Hang on, that puzzle?" I realized, "Papyrus told me about that earlier, the coloured tiles puzzle. So she was the one who made that, clever." I found a beat-up figurine of a female human with cat ears.

"Well, since Alphys lives here, does she have any food?" I asked, as I wondered until I saw a fridge. I opened up and inside were instant noodles and soda. "Wow, that dinosaur sure likes noodles... meh, I might as well take one.

You got the Instant Noodles

"Sweet." I smiled and saw something else beside the fridge. It was a bag of dog food containing half-full of the food. "Why's that bag there?" That actually got me thinking, I need to call Undyne. I took my upgraded cellphone and dialled Papyrus's number. I waited a few more rings until the phone was picked up.

"Hey punk! Where are ya?" Undyne greeted.

"Oh hey Undyne, I'm at Alphy's lab." I answered.

"You're at Alphy's lab?" She gasped, "Is she there...?"

"Uhh... not exactly..." I mumbled, looking at the locked door where Alphys was hiding.

"Hey, tell her I said hi, okay!" She confided. "And, tell how she's doing! And tell me if she needs anything, and..." She paused and retorted, "Wait! No! Don't ask any of that!!!"

"Okay, I wouldn't, I promise!" I vowed the phone hung up. I sighed in relief, pocketed my phone and said a quick goodbye to Alphys before leaving the laboratory from the back door.

My Reaction: Undyne and Alphys sitting in the tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G.

YA-HOO! Alphys has joined the 'Determination' gang. It's kinda cute for Undyne and Alphys, because since I discovered that they were both females, it's a thing. But who knows, a couple like that is another OTP. I would ship them too. :D
