San's P.O.V
At last, I made my way to the Dreemurr's house with a big grin on my face. Finally, I'm going to tell my friends that my Dad is back from trapping in the void for many years. I looked over to my girlfriend on my left to see her texting our friends to meet at Dreemurr's house with large smile on her face. Man, she really makes me happy too. Then to my right was my Dad, Gaster. He was pleased to be here since he was back thanks to Frisk who rescued him, this makes our day even better.
I approached at the front door and knocked.
"Who's there?"
"Lettuce." I replied.
"Lettuce who?"
"Lettuce in, we got some big news."
A laugh was heard from the other side as Toriel opened the front door for me, Frisk and Gaster. Her eyes narrowed at the stranger that she had never seen before.
"Oh, who is this?"
"Uh... a better question will be 'can you lettuce in?'"
"Oh, sorry, please come in." She opened the door more so we all get inside the house. We walked into the living room and saw Asgore, Asriel, Papyrus, Undyne and Alphys.
"Hey punks, what's the big news?" Undyne asked.
"YEAH, AND WHO IS THIS MAN?" Papyrus added, looking curiously at the stranger.
"Well, I want you all to meet my dad." I said, turning my head as Gaster walks into the living room. Everyone was silent only Asgore who looked surprised.
"Doctor Gaster, is that you?" He asked.
"Indeed I am, King Asgore Dreemurr." Gaster nodded.
"It's been a long time, my old friend." He stood up from the couch he was sitting on and embraced the doctor with a big hug. "Where have you been? The last time I heard was you disappeared out of this world."
"Yes, but I have come back thanks to Sans and Frisk." He replied, turning to the two of us and smiled. He frowned a bit as he looked back.
"COULD SOMEBODY TELL ME WHO IS THIS MAN?!" Papyrus asked aloud, annoyed that nobody answered him except Gaster who looked at him astonished.
"Oh my... my little Papyrus. You've grown tall."
"NYEH? HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME?" He questioned.
"Paps, that's our dad you're talking to." I answered with a chuckle. Papryus gasped and turned to Gaster with a surprise expression.
"D-DAD?" He looked like he was tearing up before tackling Gaster into a hug, "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT IT'S YOU! I-I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!"
"Aww, it's okay Papyrus. I missed you too. No need to cry, I'm okay now and that's that." He replied, patting the youngest brother's back. He pulled back, "However, they are other things I need to talk to you all about?"
"Hmm? What do you mean?" Asgore asked curiously.
"How about I'll sit down and explain the whole situation?" He suggested, as he walked to the couch that Asgore was sitting and sat down with Papyrus on his left. Asgore sat back down beside him on the right since he was a good friend to him. Toriel sat down in her armchair while me and Frisk sat down on the floor with Alphys, Undyne and Asriel.
"Okay Gaster, tell us what happened?" Toriel asked.
"Well, I think I should explain everything to you all, I wouldn't hide anything from you." Gaster sighed before clearing his throat, "Long time ago, since my 'incident' at the CORE, I was trapped in the place called the void. It was so dark and dangerous that I used my powers to maintain myself in this awful prison. My dear sons were left alone without me..." He turned to look at me, "Thankfully, Sans was able to keep Papyrus and looked after him while I was gone."
Everyone looked at me for a moment, and all I did was shrugged.
"However, I watched from where I was trapped. I saw the human falling down from the mountain, and that human happens to be you, Frisk." He averted from me to Frisk. Her cheeks flush a little pink. "I watched you on how you travel, how you interact with the monsters and showing you had powers known as 'determination' A powerful SOUL like that could change anything..."
"That's what Frisk used to break the barrier." I pointed out.
"Exactly, however, she's not the only one." He continued.
"What do you mean, Gaster?" Toriel asked.
"Do you remembered the first human that came down into the Underground for a long time ago." He asked.
"Y-You m-mean?" Toriel started.
"It was Chara." Frisk spoke out suddenly, remembering the spirit that was with her. "Right?"
"Correct." Gaster nodded.
"But... she's... gone." Toriel whispered, feeling the old memories of the human child that is used to be part of the royal family. "Our dear child is gone..."
"Not yet I'm afraid, she's alive..."
"Really? Where?" Toriel stood up from her armchair, "Where is she?"
"Tori, calm down and let my dad speak." I cautioned, as Toriel dropped her act and sat back down.
"As I was saying, she's now a spirit after her death, but somehow she was suddenly emerged with Frisk after she fell down the mountain too. Her SOUL somehow managed to stick together with Frisk because both of them had the same power of 'determination'. Normally, Chara used her SOUL to go through different timelines which will then turn into nightmares..."
"Wait a minute, I had a nightmare once..." Frisk realized, "You were chasing me right? To take my SOUL?"
"Well, that dream you saw wasn't me." Gaster replied, receiving a gasp from me. "You have seen an illusion of me, as in someone is tricking your mind to believe it was me who attack you."
"Then who did?" Toriel asked.
"It was Demise." Gaster answered.
"Who's Demise?" I asked.
"Demise is an evil wraith, well more like an evil spirit, but was the one responsible in your dreams, Frisk." He gazed upon Frisk as I held her protectively, "Not only that, he manage to revive Chara, possessed her, and was now controlling her to do his dirty work by destroying the entire world. The only problem is that Chara is still in there somewhere deep within the blackness of that SOUL."
"Wait, Chara has a SOUL, where did she get it from?" I questioned.
"It was Demise that gave her that SOUL, it was filled with HATE. HATE is a strong negative feeling that makes Chara more powerful than she was before. She can distrust to us and won't listen to us as we speak. The only way to get out of there was using the six Human SOULS to break that HATE."
"The Human SOULS?"
"The six SOULS has encrusted a power by the colour and element; PATIENCE, BRAVERY, INTERGRITY, PERSERVANCE, KINDNESS and JUSTICE. Using their powers combine with DETERMINATION can be powerful enough destroy the HATE and free Chara."
"But I don't think it's a good idea." Toriel reassured, "After what happened to those SOULS of the innocent children, they suddenly disappeared and cannot to be used again. There's no other way we can used them or hurt another child for a SOUL."
"She does have a point though." Asgore agreed, looking worriedly at Gaster. "I was never forgiven when I took the SOULS away from them in order to break down the barrier. All I felt was grief, guilty and sadness. I was a terrible creature that doesn't think twice before going through this madness." He clenched his hands into fists, "I want to help them but I ended up failing."
"It's okay, Asgore." Gaster comforted, patting his old friend's back "Mistakes can happened sometimes, but now you have learned something from us and that's what brought us here together. But as long there's no chaos about getting the SOULS, we'll find another way without hurting others."
"I guess you're right." He admitted, looking down sourly.
"So what's your plan? We can all help just as long we get back from my trip with Alphys." Undyne asked.
"Well, I have to stay in one of the house that was built in this new monster village and I have to do some studying, researching and reading in order to pick up the useful information I need to make a solution to stop this madness from happening and a way to save Chara." Gaster answered.
"I c-can help with t-that, Dr. Gaster." Alphys insisted. "I m-may be a s-scientist before you but I can r-really help with your r-research."
"Hey, don't forget that I'm a scientist too, you know. We're his co-workers right?" I pointed out.
"Oh yeah, I forgot that, hehehe." She chuckled nervously.
"Well, now that's over, me and Alphys have to go home now, we got a flight at 4 o'clock." Undyne announced, stretching out her arms before getting up from the ground, "So we'll be back and tell you guys the news, okay?" Everyone nodded, as she helped Alphys up, "Well, see ya later punks."
"Bye everyone." Alphys said, waving her hand goodbye.
"Bye Undyne, bye Alphys." Everyone waved back as the two left the house leaving only with seven here.
"Well, Dad. I guess we better start getting to work for you staying in one of the houses here." I told him.
"Indeed, I really need a place to say though."
"Well, why not stay here for dinner? I'm going to make some quiche tonight?" Toriel offered.
"Oh, that will marvellous, Queen Toriel." Gaster replied with a nod.
"Please, call me Toriel." She giggled with a smile before heading to the kitchen to start cooking. While she cooks, Asgore and Gaster are having some chats while Frisk, Asriel, Papyrus and I talked about something.
"So Sans, is it true that Gaster can help find a way to save Chara?" Asriel asked.
"I don't know Asriel, my Dad needs to do a lot of research in order to find her and get her out that monster's grip." I replied, crossing my arms over my chest.
"SO WHAT WE DO IF WE SEE HER?" Papyrus asked.
"Well, since Demise is controlling her, she can be dangerous to us all. And you bro, I was afraid of losing you if she prepares to strikes you... so you have to be careful."
"FEAR NOT BROTHER! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WILL BE PREPARED TO FIGHT AGAINST THIS MONSTER!" Papyrus exclaimed.
"Thanks Pap." I smiled a bit, but only held a little worried in me because Chara is starting to hunt him off first. But I'm not sure if he was aware of that, I need to inform Gaster about this.
"Everyone, quiche is ready!" Toriel announced, as the family and friends gathered around the table in the dining room.
(Meanwhile... somewhere)
Eerie silence filled the air of the pitch black room, the pitch black wraith Demise watched every human and monsters became friends throughout the city on the screen in front of him. Some chats, some fight over but ended the argument, and some helping others. His glowing red eyes shifted over to gaze onto a person he was informed on. He heard a knock on the door and averted his gaze from the screen to the door.
"Enter." He bellowed, as the door opened to reveal the possessed Chara.
"YoU cAlLeD mE?" She murmured, stepping into the dark room before shutting the door.
"Yes, my dear puppet. I have some business for you to do." He replied, turning back to the screen, "You see, I want you to scout out and seek out the information about this human called Frisk. Last time I heard from Gaster, she held the power of Determination, like yours Chara but I'm afraid that her SOUL is no match against yours with the power of HATE, soon she'll get weaker and weaker, and she'll be bow down to her knees in defeat." He turned back Chara with a wicked grin, "You will have until three days to complete your assignment, don't let me down."
"As YoU wIsH, mAsTeR." Chara nodded, before turning around to walk from the darkness.
"Soon, my dear Frisk. Your friends here will perish at every cut that Chara makes." He growled softly before howling out with an evil laugh, "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

My Sayings: Oh no...
Okay, this is probably a crappy chapter I think. I wasted too much time on the business and I have no idea what I'm writing right now. *checking my calendar* But still, I got a few days to finish the other two books before this thing is getting worse, Kya!
Don't forget to leave a VOTE and COMMENT for this chapter.
Peace out Buddies!
