Chapter 7 - Don't Forget (Part 1)
In the Chat Room...
Asriel: *after reading* Say, this story isn't half bad. *hands it back*
Me: Thanks Asriel.
Papyrus: SO, WHAT ARE YOU DOING RIGHT NOW?
Me: I don't know, my followers are having a hard time to keep up with me.
Undyne: Really? What happened?
Me: Well, since I was tired to finish 'school'. I didn't have to make new chapters. It's really frustrating to keep up. *placing my head on the desk*
Frisk: *walks up to me and hugs me* You'll be okay Azure. I love your books though, even though it's quite interesting due to your creavitity.
Me: Thanks Frisk. *cuddling her*
Papyrus: HEY, I WANT HUGS TOO. *runs over and embrace the two of us*
Me: Yeah, thanks Paps ; )

What's up Buddies! Here's the late chapter since I was too lazy to make another one. But you know, things are getting weird and strange. And by that, I mean I was getting to move out and lived my life. But something in me tells me that throwing everything I've created behind since I am eventually an adult but still a kid like Frisk. I don't want to abandon this account and I'll keep on hold. So, without further ado, I hope you enjoy this~

Sans's P.O.V
After we got to our house, I unlocked the front door and stepped inside with Frisk carrying my lovey-dovey brother in. She carried him to the couch and set him down. As soon she stepped back, Papyrus fell onto his side and not moving at all.
"Thanks for carrying Papyrus." I thanked her.
"No prob, Sans." She smiled while checking the time, "Well, I gotta go home now. Mom will be worried about me."
"Okay, thanks for coming." I replied, walking up to her and kissed her forehead. "Take care of yourself."
"Okay, bye Sansy." She replied, kissing on the my cheekbone before giving Papyrus a quick hug and walking out of the door.
As the door was closed, I let out a sigh and opened the door. I walked out and made my way to the back of the house. I took out my silver key and unlocked the door. I stepped inside and flicked on the switches to turn on the lights. I walked over to my work table and set down the box with old documents and papers. I pulled out the drawer and took out a pair of reading glasses and stuck them on with sticky tape since I don't have ears.
"Okay, let's see what's in here?" I mumbled, taking out all the documents and papers and lay them out before me so I can see all of them. I picked up one of the papers and began to read. Through papers and documents, I came across a diary that was underneath a pile of papers. Shoving them aside, I reached for the diary and open up. All the writings seems so familiar... I began to read.
After reading, there are a few things I have picked up during my reading time.
Experiment
Accident
Time and Space
Creation
'What does it mean?' I thought, scratching my skull in confusion and turned to the next page when a paper fell out from the diary. I picked it up and saw a handwritten sentence on it. I began to read.
ENTRY NUMBER SEVENTEEN
DARK DARKER YET DARKER
THE DARKNESS KEEPS GROWING
THE SHADOWS CUTTING DEEPER
PHOTON READINGS NEGATIVE

INTERESTING
WHAT DO YOU TWO THINK?
"Hmm?" I read that page over again and frowned, "This looks like the exact copy from the lab but, why is it in the diary?" Curiosity really got the best of me. I turned away from the paper mess and stared the object being covered over by a large purple cloth. "Could this be that...?" I turned back to the papers and I sighed. "I don't get it!" I growled, placing my hands on top of my skull - I'm getting frustrated right now. I don't know who or what it is, I need more evidence and answers about this. Sighing while rubbing my forehead, I pulled the drawer out again and reached in to grab a piece of paper. It was just a poor scribble picture that I've kept in there. By looking at it, I can't help but feeling my tears welling in my eyesockets. Looking at the two words at bottom, the sudden urge of feelings hit me. I closed my eyesockets before going into a breakdown with the only sounds to be heard was my sobs.
Frisk's P.O.V
I've arrived at my house and stepped inside. I spotted Toriel sitting in her arm chair, reading her '72 Uses for Snails' book and Asgore sitting on the couch reading the newspaper. When I entered the living room, the two goat parents turned their heads towards me.
"Oh, welcome back, my child." Toriel greeted.
"Hello Frisk, how was it?" Asgore asked.
"It was fine, I guess. Undyne and Alphys are planning on going to Tokyo for their holidays and Mettaton was busy preparing for his world tour." I bragged, taking a seat on the couch.
"Oh, they sure are really exciting to explore the world." He commented.
"Yeah, I know." I agreed and I noticed something, "Say, have you seen Asriel?"
"He should be back by then, it's nearly 6 o'clock." He said, checking the time on the grandfather clock.
"Mum, Dad, I'm home." A voice ranged as the front door was slammed shut.
"Oh, Asriel, thank goodness you came back. I was starting to get worried." Toriel sighed with relief.
"Sorry about that, I just went for a walk and... gave some flowers to 'someone'." He replied.
"Oh, who was it?" She asked curiously.
"I... can't tell you. It's a secret and... I can't tell anyone about it." Asriel answered.
"Oh, I understand. Whatever is a secret, stays a secret." She admitted. "Now, how about we eat dinner?"
"Oh yeah, I was getting hungry since I didn't eat anything." I jested.
Toriel giggled, "Well, I better get cooking then, you all should wait at the table."
The family agreed and headed to the dining room and seated at the dining table. Today, she was preparing a meal called 'Shepherd's Pie'. It was an interesting recipe except it was a mixed of mince beef and vegetables with mashed potato on top. While she was cooking, the family began to talk a conservation. I told Asgore about making jokes which make this family life a bit interesting. He did try a goat joke and in the end, Asriel and I couldn't stop laughing even Toriel was having problems because laughter was never the ingredient since she was nearly making a mess. I was very proud of him and later on, Toriel brought the finished pie over, we ate together and later, we head straight to bed.
Sans's P.O.V
After crying out of my misery, I remain in my position, lying half my body over my work table. I didn't notice that Papyrus was shouting from the outside, calling out my name. I quickly wiped away my tears, put the papers back in the box and hurried out of my 'secret area' and locked it. I came out of hiding and called out to Papyrus.
"SANS! WHERE WERE YOU? I WAS CALLING OUT TO YOU LIKE A HUNDRED TIMES AND YOU NEVER CAME!" He yelled worriedly.
"Gee, Pap. I didn't know you were that-"
"DON'T"
"Papy-sterous!
"OH MY GOD!" He yelled with his hands in the air in rage.
I laughed to myself, "Sorry, I'll stop, I'll stop. Hehehe..."
"OKAY, FINE." He huffed, after calming down. "LET'S GO BACK INSIDE SO WE CAN EAT MY GOURMENT SPAGHETTI AND AFTERWARDS, YOU READ A BEDTIME STORY FOR ME."
"Sounds great." I agreed with him.
We walked back into the house and I sat myself on the couch while Papyrus went to the kitchen to get our spaghetti. He returned back and handed me a bowl with his spaghetti before sitting down next to me and ate. After dinner, I took Papyrus up to his bedroom and helped him changed into his pajamas. Soon, I tucked him in bed and went to the bookshelf and searched for a bedtime story for him.
"Hey Sans, could read me a different story other than 'Peek-A-Boo with Fluffy Bunny'?"
"I thought this was your favourite bedtime story." I approved.
"YEAH BUT I HEARD LIKE 245 TIMES, I NEED A NEW STORY."
"Oh, okay." I scanned through and found a book that looks interesting. Nodding, I walked back to his bedside and pull up a chair to sit down. "Hey, I think I found a book that you might find interesting."
"What's it called?"
"It's called 'Listen for the Nightingale'." I read aloud to him.
"Cool, what's it about?"
"I think it says on the back..." I replied, turning the book over to see some writings on the back, "While the serpent whispers an end to despair, the nightingale sings of courage and strength. Kathleen's confusion about her family leads her to thoughts of suicide. Her inner resilience takes over and the poetic nightingale becomes a symbol of hope."
"Ooh, that's sounds interesting. Read it, read it!" He piped, bouncing in his bed excitedly. Man, you've gotta love my bro and his childish enthusiasm.
"Okay..." I chuckled, opening the book and began reading aloud to him while Papyrus listens me. As soon as I finished the story, Papyrus already falls asleep. I smiled down at him and put the book away before making my way out of his room and shut the door quietly behind me.
Frisk's P.O.V
'Frisk...'
I moaned a little and turned over to sleep properly.
'Frisk...'
I frowned in my sleep and snuggled deep into my sleep.
'Frisk... wake up!'
I woke up and I appeared to be in the same dark room, the same room in my dreams. I turned around and saw the man from my dreams. Feeling my screams making its way up my throat for me to let out, the man waved his hands in front.
"Frisk... Don't be afraid... I'm not going to hurt you." He signed quickly.
I gasped quietly and took a step back in case he was lying to me. What's he doing in my dreams? Why can't I have a peaceful sleep without him around? What does he want from me?
Then, I remembered. He wants my determination, the power that's in my SOUL. I noticed the man's look seems different. He was staring at me like examining a creature that stands before him. I took another step back but the man step took a step forward.
"Please... it's alright... I'm not going to hurt you..." He continued, taking a cautious steps towards me. Half part of me wants me to scream and run away from him. The other half wants to stay, investigate this 'man' and understand what's going on. "Please, Frisk... let me speak with you."
Feeling nervous with this man, I stuttered "H-How do you know my name?"
"It's pretty simple, I learnt it because I was watching you..." He answered.
My eyes grew wide, "Y-you w-were w-watching m-me?"
"Indeed. I was watching you very closely, examining... and taking interest about yourself. The way you encounters the monsters, the way you keep coming back from the fight with Flowey, and of course, destroying the barrier with the power of the human SOULS and your... determination."
"But...why? Why would you try to take the determination from me?" I asked.
"It's only thing I was expecting to see..." He replied. "I want to use it to... save myself."
"Hmm?" I tilted my head in confusion, "Save yourself, why?"
"Frisk, I'm... trapped." He spoke, "For once, I guess I'll tell you a story about who I am..." He began to walk to one side and speak, "Years ago, I was once a Royal Scientist before Alphys; I've seen you been to the True Lab, right?" I nodded in response, "This is where my story takes place." He looked up, trying to regain his memories from the past, "Long time ago, I and my co-workers were doing some local experiments; some are successful and some are not successful. I was the one who built the building called the CORE." He turned to look at me, "You met Sans, right?' He asked, and I nodded to him, "Well, he was my son and my assistant... A while back, I was doing an experiment after discovering a powerful source of energy, determination. So I have created a machine called the DT Extraction Machine to generate energy to make this invention work. I was going to charge up the machine ready when Sans carried other son Papyrus over to my lab. Despite they are standing before the deadly machine, I couldn't shut it down. I was worried so I quickly pushed them away before the beam went off. Soon, I was pixelated and disappeared... That's when I manage to survive and end up here."
The story he told was really sad that I couldn't help but cry. This man sacrifice himself to protect Sans and Papyrus from his experiment. Sadly, the reason why he came here in my dreams was because he wants to me to help him.
"I know how you feel about my story in the past." He assured, "But... I wish I could apologize to him but... I don't have the chance." He turned to look at me with concern, "I know that you have a connection with Sans because you're the only one he could trust and you must help him."
"Why's that?"
"Remember the box he was carrying?" He recalled, and I nodded, "That box was my research."
"Your research?"
"Yes, the reason why was because my writing are in fonts called Wingdings. It makes it impossible for anyone to read about my research. I taught this to Sans and know how to translate them. If he figures this out, he'll understand it however; he can't because he forgot the memory about me since the incident."
"So, what do you want me to do?"
The man cracked a small smile, fully gaining my trust as he dug his hand into his cloak of darkness and pulled out something from his pocket, "Here." He took my hand and place a hidden object in my hand before closing it, "Give this to Sans. Once he figures out who I am, he'll find a way."
"Alright, I promise."
Suddenly, my vision started to blur along with a wave of dizziness before I was blacked out.
----------------------------------------------------------
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP
I screamed and immediately sat up. I was panting heavily as sweatdrops fell down from my forehead. I turned to see the digital alarm clock above the bed that read 9:30 a.m. I pressed the off button and sighed. "It was just a dream..." I mumbled to myself, while rubbing my tired eyes. Then, I felt something cold on my forearm. Curiously, I felt around until I got the object in my hand. Opening my hand, there was a white tag with words written on it. I looked closer and read the words.
Doctor W.D Gaster
"So his name is Gaster." I thought, hurling the blanket to the side before crawling out of bed and changed into my attire. I shoved the name tag into my pocket and walked downstairs to see Asgore making a cup of tea. I smiled a bit and walked into the kitchen when he turned around from the kettle to greet me.
"Good morning, Frisk."
"Oh, good morning... uh, Dad. Where's Mom?" I used the word 'Dad' for Asgore because he was like a dad to me.
"Oh, she's working at the school at the moment." He answered, taking his tea to the dining table and sat down. "Is something the matter?"
"No, it's fine. I was going to let her know that I'm going to Sans and Papyrus's house." I replied.
"Oh, I would let her know then after she gets back, okay?" He offered.
"Thanks Dad, see you later." I waved and walked out of the door after getting a wave in return by Asgore.
I felt the warm breeze through me and the wind blowing through my hair, making it go flying. I smiled to myself and arrived at their house. Feeling comfortable for another visit, I knocked on the door and I heard a yell from the other side. I heard loud footsteps and the door opened to revealed Papyrus, wearing his orange apron.
"OH, HELLO FRISK, HOW ARE YOU TODAY?" He greeted cheerfully.
"Oh, I'm good thanks. Is Sans there?" I asked, peeking through the small gap from the left side.
"Uh, Sans is somewhere... so I haven't seen him yet." He replied sadly.
"Oh, that's okay. I'll go and look for him." I convinced.
"THAT WILL BE GREAT. ONCE YOU FIND HIM, TELL THIS MESSAGE 'SANS! GO AND PICK UP YOUR SOCKS!', OKAY?"
"Got it." I gave him a thumbs up and walked out until I heard a door slammed. I turned around to the front door and realized it was close, but why do I heard another one that's already closed. I listened carefully and heard the slam again. Curiously, I began to follow and investigate what's making that sound. I approached behind the house and saw another door - I didn't know there was another door in his house. But what is it? Could be some sort of basement? Or an underground room?
Narrowing my eyebrows in wonder, I decided to go in and find out myself. Determination filled within me as I got closer and gently swing the door open. Down below me was a small staircase which leads into a dark room. I stepped inside carefully and suddenly the door slammed shut which leaves me locked in a complete darkness. I yelp a scream and placed my hand over my chest to slow down a heart rate since it was beating so fast for having a jumpscare. Since now it was so dark, I can't even feel a thing and the worst part is I hate the dark, as in complete darkness. I was afraid because I'm still standing on the staircase. Using my hand, I moved it around until I felt a wall near me to guide down the staircase so I wouldn't fall over and hurt myself. Once I felt the ground, I sighed in relief and felt around to find the light switch. I felt the small buttons and flipped them to switch them on. The lights flickered a few times, a bit like a lightning bolt in a dark haunted house. It becomes fully lightened and I was standing in some workshop.
"What is this place?" I asked myself, as I began to explore this little area. I saw a worktable with a blueprint spread out. I looked over, it looks like some sort of machine, but for what? I averted my gaze and saw the box with the papers that Sans was carrying. I took a few papers out and read them. As much to my disbelief, the words are not English but with strange symbols. Frowning, I put them back and notice a drawer against the worktable. I pulled it out and inside was a photo album. I took it out and peek inside, there are lots of photos of Sans with people that I don't know who they are. I closed it and inside also was a picture. I picked up the picture and examine it. There's three people in there, one is Sans, the other was Papyrus, and the one in the middle - I gasped. It was the man from my dream, Gaster. I noticed two words underneath the image and it read out 'Don't Forget'.
"So, this is... a family picture." I mumbled and looked up when saw something big underneath a large purple cloth. "Is this some sort of...machine?" I put the picture down and approached it. Never would I guess it because that thing was 6.5 feet tall, how the heck did this thing fit in here? I shrugged my shoulders and reached out to grab the sheet. I was about to yank it off when I heard the door open and closed. I gasped and let go the cloth and whipped around to the doorway.
"What the? Why is the lights still on, I thought I turn them off?" I recognized that voice.
"Sans? Sans, is that you?" I asked aloud.
"Frisk?" I heard footsteps making its way down the staircase and yep, it was Sans. "Frisk, what are you doing in here?"
"Sans, what is this place?" I asked, interrupting him.
But before he could answer, he sighed and rubbed the back his neck, "So, looks like you want to know my secrets, huh?"
"U-Uh, no, please, I didn't mean to trespass but... tell me Sans, what are you?" I questioned.
He sighed again and walked up to me, placing his hand on my shoulder, "You want to know the truth, right?" I slowly nodded to him, he sighed "Alright, tell me you about this 'place'." He stepped back and shoved his hands into his hoodie, "Well, you are currently in my 'secret' workshop here... and well, I guess you could say that I was indeed scientist like Alphys. She and I, were great scientists and we become co-workers to work with a doctor who's in charge." He walked over to the work table, and looked at it "I presume you saw this..." I nodded to him, "Well, this is a blueprint of the strange machine I was going to fix..." He pointed at the covered object, "And the reason why is covered because this machine is secret and... I don't want to reveal it unless it was fixed." He turned back to me with a grin, "So, there you had it, I spoke everything to you."
"Yeah... you did..." I mumbled.
Sans seems to notice that, "Hmm? What's wrong, Frisk?" He went up to me and tilted my chin up so my eyes were locked with his, "Just tell me, I wouldn't get mad you know." He place his hand on my cheek, caressing softly.
"Sans... I want you to give you this." I took his hand and gently place the object in his hand. Sans looked confused and stared at the object in his hand. Suddenly, he gasped and stared at me.
"F-Frisk, where did you get this?" He asked, his voice seems to crack a bit when he notice something that I don't.
"It was from the man, from my dreams..." I replied truthfully, "He gave this me so I can give it to you..." I placed my hand on his cheek, "Sans, that man... Gaster, it was your dad and... he's alive."
Sans's P.O.V
"Sans, that man... Gaster, it was your dad and... he's alive."
Her words spilled out the real truth. I felt like the memory from the past have suddenly came back into my mind. Everything seems unbelievable... Gaster, was in fact my dad. My answer about why I was going through this... I remembered the time about the incident when I was carrying my little Papyrus to the lab so we can see Dad. But then, he pushed us aside when the beam hit him and was gone, falling into his creation...
"F-Frisk..." I said softly and then suddenly crashed her into a tight hug. She stumbled a bit and put her arms around me and hugged me back strongly. I cried on her shoulder as my tears leak from my eyesockets and dripped on her sweater. I tightened my hold on her and I felt her hand stroking my back to help me relax. After minutes of standing, with our arms wrapped around our bodies, I finally let out a sigh and sniffled a bit, resting my skull on her shoulder. "Thank you... thank you for giving this to me. I remembered now... thank you for telling me..." I pulled back a bit and I felt her hand on my cheekbone and wipe away my tears. I stared down at her with a small sad smile.
Frisk smiled her beautiful smile that made my heart melt, "You're welcome, Sans." She leaned up and kissed my cheekbone, making a dust of blue appeared them. "I'm always here to help you..."
"Thank you..." I pulled myself gently from her embrace and wiped any remaining tears with my sleeves. I mumbled, "I think... but they are some things I need to care of..."
"Like the broken machine?" She pointed out.
"Well, yeah... but I'm not sure this is going to work out." I admitted, turning to the covered object. "Sometimes, I always find a way to bring him back but... neither of them don't work."
"Well, don't give up yet Sans. You need to stay determined, that way, you will find another way." She interjected, patting my back.
"Like within my research, then yeah..." I agreed.
"SANS! FRISK! WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU TWO? I HAVE PREPARED SOME SPAGHETTI FOR LUNCH TODAY!" A voice boomed from the outside that broke the moment between me and her. I growled and shook my head.
"Come on, let's go..." I told her, as she began to walk with me to outside.
Gaster's P.O.V
From watching through the screen, I watched the moment when Sans reacted and give Frisk a hug. Quite the love I see, it remind the time when that Frisk look a bit like my wife, Sans and Papyrus's mother. It was quite tragic though but seeing her with my dear son really warms my heart to me, almost like their future marriage. I blushed a bit and shook my head, it's a bit too early but I have wait and see.
"So, your son finally figure that you're alive, how cute..." A voice grumbled. I gasped and spun around to see a dark mist with glowing red eyes.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"I am Demise." The dark mist introduced darkly.
"What is it that you are after? What are you here to accomplish?"
"Oh, I'm here to take over this pathetic world. I heard that humans became friends with monsters, but they are sadly mistaken since I'll be the one to take control." He bellowed.
"Take control?"
"Indeed, evil lurks within the darkness, ready for them to come out and killed every one of them."
"That will never happen."
"Really? Then, how about I killed that human who saved the monsters, hmm?" He grinned wickedly.
"Don't you dare touch her, just leave her alone!" I shot.
"Oh, but I didn't say I was going after it, she is." He bellowed, raising his misty hand and the familiar figure appeared beside him. I gasped at the human before me as the eyes of the human were open to show bloody crismon eyes with black tears leaking from it. "Behold, my puppet! Chara!"
"But how? How did you bring her back to life?! Tell me!" I asked, demandingly.
"It's pretty simple. I made a deal with her, I would give her this SOUL if she works for me. And since she agrees, she took the SOUL and then here she is, she is now in full hatred." He explained as Chara grinned wickedly at me. "Now then, I have other things to do before doing so. I would be waiting in the darkness... Farewell." With that, he disappeared in a puff of smoke.
I turned to Chara, meeting her intense gaze on me as her eyes glowed with LOVE. She smiled and giggled, "DoN't FoRgEt, GrAmPs. Hehehehe~" She turned on her heels and disappeared out of sight in a dark smoke.
"Oh no... Chara." I whispered to myself, "She's been... possessed by Demise... How am I going to warn Frisk and the others about this?" I placed my hands over my face and sighed quietly. "Oh, please... Frisk... Sans... be careful..."
