Chapter 3 - The Haunting Dream

Undyne: Hey Azure, I got one question for ya.

Me: Yeah?

Undyne: What does Frisk look like since she's older now?

Me: That's a good question. I went to the Internet to look up an 'Older Frisk' and I found this lovely art designed by r3darkang3l in Deviatart. Take a look at this. (This pic here v )

Papyrus: WOWIE! SHE'S BEAUTIFUL! AND TO THE ARTIST WHO DESIGNED THIS, LOVELY WORK I MUST SAY!

Asriel: What about me?

Me: Take a look at this...

Toriel: Oh my... Asriel, you look so handsome.

Asriel: Mom! *covers his face in embarrassment*

Everyone: XD

Frisk: It's fine Asriel, you do look great though.

Asriel: Thanks Frisk.

What's up Buddies! Things are going berserk this days. Well, despite the fact, I was getting my work done immediately because the following days are starting to count down, and by that, I'm talking the Year 12 Graduation this year. Well, guess what? I'm falling behind like the rest of the gang. So, umm, let's not get into that topic now, and also those pictures from above are what they look like that their 'slight grown up' stage. Okay, here's the chapter. I hope you enjoy this~

Frisk's P.O.V

It was late at night, approximately 11 o'clock. I was having a peaceful sleep until I end up tossing and turning, my hands gripped tightly onto my pillow and my brows were pulled down hardly over my closed eyes. I was dreaming about something rather than the dreams I usually have. When I open my eyes, I appeared to be standing in a strange place, it was nothing but darkness.

"Hello?" I called out. At first there was silence, but then there was a murmur of whispers; my question wasn't answered. "Where am I?" Still no answer, but the murmurs continued, "What is this place?" I trembled nervously as I felt a cold chill down my spine as shadows grew around me. "Is anyone in here?" the murmurs got louder, but there was still no answer. I was beginning to get frustrated, "Answer me!" I shouted and my voice echoed throughout the darkness and then silence. I gave myself up and turned around until I gasped.

In the distance, a tall, slender black figure stood in the middle of the darkness. It was crouching down like a coward.

"Hello?" I called out. The figure lift up its head as it heard me and slowly turned around to face me. I saw a white mask with two cracks: a large one above the right eye and a small one on the cheek under the left eye.

"***** *****." The figure spoke, speaking in a strange language that I couldn't understand what he was saying.

"What are you saying? I can't understand you." I told the figure. The figure frowned a bit and decided to use hand signs instead.

"I said 'hello human.'" The figure repeated.

"Much better, I think. So, who are you?" I asked.

"Just an old man." The figure signed, with a creepy smile.

"Okay, what are you and where am I?"

"You don't know? I thought this might happen very often." It signed, "However... if you're still here, what about I take that power you called 'determination'?" He suddenly moved slowly up with the lower part of its body extended up like a snake and charged with towards me with an outstretched hand. "It will be mine!"

I shot up from my bed screaming which suddenly woke up Asriel from his sleep with a fright and turned around to me.

"Frisk, you okay?" He asked, placing his hand on my shoulder.

"My child, are you okay?" Toriel asked, barging into our room and hurried over to crouch down beside me. Her arms were wrapped around me protectively and using one of them to rub my back to soothe me. I didn't answer her, because she realized that I was crying. Tears were pouring from my eyes and I whimper a bit. "My child..."

"I'm okay, just a dream..." I replied softly.

"A dream?" Asriel repeated, tilting his head in confusion. "From the sounds of your loud scream, I say it's a bad dream."

"It might be, but it's alright now. Just get some sleep, okay?" She said, tucking me back in bed.

"Okay Mom, goodnight."

"Goodnight, my child." She bent down and kissed my forehead. "Goodnight, Asriel."

"Night Mom." He replied, and snuggling himself in beside me as Toriel stood up and left the room.

The next morning, I woke up and felt a little better from what happen last night. It was almost like the dream was real. Shaking my head, I sat up and crawled out of bed. I went to the wardrobe and pulled some clothes I'm going to wear today. I put on a blue shirt with two light blue stripes, a gray jacket, denim shorts, black tights and brown boots. After getting dressed, I made my way out of the room and went downstairs to the kitchen. As I went there, I saw Toriel setting down a fresh baked Butterscotch-Cinnamon Pie on the table and Asgore drinking his golden flower tea.

"Oh, good morning Frisk." He greeted with his cheerful mood.

"Morning Asgore." I replied.

"Did you sleep well, Frisk?" Toriel asked, as she slice the pie into pieces before putting them on a plate.

"Yeah, a bit." I sat down at the table and Toriel set down a plate of slice pie. I picked up a fork and tuckered in.

"Did something happened?" Asgore asked.

"Frisk just had a bad dream last night." Toriel answered.

"Oh, did you know what's it about?"

"She hasn't told me about it so I won't worried about it." She picked up my empty plate and place it in the sink. "Why not you go outside and play with your friends?"

"Okay. A little fresh air would do me good." I got out of my seat and grabbed my cellphone from the counter. I check on my screen and notice a text message on the screen. I pressed the buttons to open the message and read the text.

SanstheSkeleton: Hey Frisky.

I giggled and text a message to him.

Frisky_Loves_You: Hey Sansy, how ya doin'?

SanstheSkeleton: Nothing much, just chillin.

Frisky_Loves_You: Oh, I see.

SanstheSkeleton: Anywho, do you wanna come to Grillby's with me?

Frisky_Loves_You: Sure why not. : )

SanstheSkeleton: Great, see you there Frisky.

Frisky_Loves_You: Okay, bye Sansy. Love you.

SanstheSkeleton: Love you too ; )

I closed my phone and giggled excitedly. "Mom, I'm going to Grillby's."

"Alright, be safe." Toriel said, as I went out, shut the door behind me and making my way to Grillby's. It's only ten minutes to walk down there. While walking there, I tried to recall that dream I had last night. That dream was hard to describe about who this guy is and was he after me and tried to... kill me? I trembled nervously when I thought about getting killed by that guy. I shook those thoughts and looked ahead to see the bar in my sight. Also, Sans was there leaning against the wall.

"Hey babe." He greeted with a wave.

"Hey Sans." I replied, giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek bone.

"You looked a bit droopy, are you okay?" He asked in concern.

"Yeah, just tired..." I lied.

"You wanna talk about something?" He offered.

"Yeah, I think so..." I mumbled. He nodded and opened the door for me as I go in. We walked to our usual spot, the barstools and sat down. I looked around and notice the few monsters here.

"Hello Sans." A familiar bartender greeted as he came up to the counter.

" 'Sup Grillby, nice to see you up here." He greeted casually.

"Thank you, and hello to you too, Frisk." Grillby went on, switching over to me.

"Hi." I waved.

"Now, what would you like to order?" He asked.

"The 'usual' for me, please." Sans answered before turning to me. "What about you?"

"I think I have the drink just for her." Grillby advised. "I'll get it ready." He turned around and start making whatever the drink he's making. While we wait, I felt Sans's gaze on me so I looked over to him.

"Something wrong?" I asked.

"Could you start explaining about what happened?" He convinced.

"Oh, well..." I started, "Last night, I had a bad dream..."

"A dream?" He was surprised, "Want sort of dream?"

"It's a bad dream and it's really... scary. I saw a man in the darkness... He was glitchy and he came after me, trying t-to... kill me." I explained, tightening up my hand into a fist as I mumbled the last part.

"Frisk, look at me..." He spoke as I looked up at him, "No matter what happens, I'll protect you from whatever happens to you, including your bad dreams. I'm right here for you and that's what matters to me, always." I was almost feel touched by his words.

"Awh, thank you Sans." I whispered, as I hugged him as he wrapped his arms around me protectively and rested his chin on top of my head.

"No prob." He replied, patting my back before pulling away so I can sit myself up back on the stool. Grillby turned back to us with a tray with two drinks: one was a bottle of ketchup and the other was a white mug with a sweet aroma.

"Here's your drinks." He handed the drinks to us and put the tray aside so he could finish cleaning the glass. I peered over the mug and smell the drink, it smell like... hot cocoa! I took the mug into my hands and taking a sip from it, hot at first but it's pretty good. We began talking and drinking for a few hours until I heard a ringtone coming from my phone. I took it out, read the ID and pressed the button before placing against my ear.

"Hey Mum."

"Hello Frisk, how are you?"

"I'm good, just talking with Sans."

"Oh, alright. I just called you that Asgore, Asriel and I are going to the shops to buy some groceries. You sure you want anything?"

"Umm... could you get some candies?"

"Sure, what sort of candy?"

"Gummy bears."

"Okay, I'll put that on the shopping list. Anything else?"

"I think that's all."

"Alright, it will take a while for us to get home so why not hang out with Sans for a bit?"

"Okay, it's cool with me."

"Alright, be safe okay?"

"Okay, bye Mom."

"Bye. *Click*"

I pocketed my phone away and turned to Sans, "Toriel is going shopping with Asgore and Asriel at the moment, so they wouldn't be coming back yet."

"So, do you wanna head over to my place?" He asked.

"Sure."

"Alright." He chugged the last of the ketchup and I finished the my hot chocolate too. "Grillby, put the price on my tab for me please." He got out of his seat and offered his hand to me, "Let's go." I nodded, got off my seat and took his hand into mine before we walked out of the bar. Grillby stared for a moment and shook his head.

"Such a couple, those two."

San's P.O.V

We walked all the way to mine and Papyrus's place. Still the same old house for both me and Papyrus to live in. I approached the doorstep and heard loud crashes and clatters of pots and lids inside and Frisk giggled.

"Was that Papyrus?" She asked.

"Yeah, he's busy making spaghetti again." I replied, as I raised my hand and knocked on the door. The loud noises went silent immediately and thundering footsteps came up behind the door and opened up to reveal Papyrus covered in tomato sauce.

"OH, BROTHER, FRISK, WELCOME." He greeted with his cheery smile.

"Hey Pap, what's up with you? You look a little saucy to me." I joked.

"WELL, I WAS TRYING TO OPEN THIS JAR HERE AND THE LID WON'T OPEN. SO I TWISTED THE LID AS HARD AS I COULD UNTIL THE LID CAME OFF AND WELL... THE SAUCE WENT ON ME." He explained, holding up the jar he was opening.

"Well, better get yourself cleaned up then." I told him as I took Frisk upstairs to my room. I opened up my door and stepped inside, surprising that my room is messier than before.

"So, I'm staying your room?" She asked, turning to me.

"Yep, I'm sharing my room with you." I replied. "And later on, you'll move here advantagely..."

"Well, I'm glad that you still cared about me, the same goes for Papyrus."

"Yeah well, we're almost like... a family." I mumbled, including quieter on the last part.

"Did you say something?"

"N-nothing, let's head back to check on how's Papyrus doin'?" He suggested.

"Okay." With that, we exited the room and head for the kitchen to see Papyrus served his spaghetti into each bowl. With his grin on his face, he spun around and walked to the dining table.

"DINNER IS SERVED!" He announced.

"Smells good." I commented, as I sat down with Frisk sitting beside me. We received our spaghetti from him and ate, still trying not to gag. Papyrus quickly munched on his because from I heard him, he was to going watch some of the MTT Re-runs or latest TV shows. Well, apart from that... it was basically the phone calls to have a talk with Mettaton. Papyrus slurped the last bit of his spaghetti before throwing his bowl into the sink and hurried to the living room. I chuckled a bit and leaned over to Frisk a bit.

"Sometimes, he always does that whenever he finished eating." I whispered.

"Well, I wouldn't be doing that if I were him." She replied, slurping another bit of spaghetti which cause the sauce to splatter on her face. "Ah! I have been assault by a spaghetti attack!"

I snorted myself a bit to stifle my laughter and leaned over, "Here, let me clean you up..." I gently lifted her face up to mine and licked the sauce off her right cheek. She squealed a bit and I withdraw back with a chuckle, "There. All gone."

"I rather use a napkin." She murmured, looking away with a blush face.

"Aw come on, don't be like that. Come on, let's watch with Papyrus."

"Okay."

We both got up out of our seats and put our bowls in the sink. Finally, we walked to the living room and sat on the couch besides Papyrus. On TV, was Mettaton doing his performance with the new hit song he wrote 'They Need A Monster'. (A/N: I know some of you know this song, and of course, this was written by Mandopony). You can barely covered your ears with the crowd screaming out the speakers thought, well for me, I got no ears.

"Thank you to you all for coming to this spectular show!" Mettaton said into the microphone as the credits appeared on the screen which signals the show was over. I grabbed the remote from beside him and changed the channel.

"WOWIE! METTATON IS SUCH A SUPER STAR! I WANT TO VISIT HIM SOMEDAY!" Papyrus squealed.

"Yeah, have fun with that." I mumbled, slouching down in the couch.

"SANS! WHY ARE SO GRUMPY? HE IS A STAR!" Papyrus argued.

"Yeah, because do you always wanna get your skull cracked? I don't like him very much!" I snapped, crossing my arms over my chest with a huff.

"*SIGH*, LET'S NOT ARGUE WITH THIS. I'M GOING TO MY ROOM." He sighed, before getting up and walked upstairs and into his room. I sighed and rubbed my hand on the temple of my skull.

"You okay?" Frisk asked worriedly.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I checked the time on my phone, "I think I should drop you off home now. I think Toriel's home now."

"Okay." She stood up and walked over to the front door. I followed her and then we walked together back to the house. I just notice that it got dark so suddenly - boy, time sure do fly so fast."

"Alright, bye Frisk." I farewelled, giving her a kiss on the lips. "I love you."

"Love you too." She replied, kissing my forehead before going inside the house. I smiled to myself and walked back to my house. Of course, there's something that still bothers me... Frisk told me that she had a bad dream about this 'guy' in the darkness. Who is this guy that haunts her? Is he going after Frisk again in her dream? I was getting worried too... guess I can't sleep either. I have to find a way to help her somehow.

My Sayings: You know who?

Okay, looks like everyone knows who we're dealing and talking about. And as for planning, this is as hard as chasing a chihuahua around the yard who stole your favourite toy. Now, what was I'm going to do is working on the other book because I need to pick a song that goes it, or perhaps a video, I don't know. Things will go smoothly I'm afraid...

Don't forget to leave a VOTE and COMMENT for this chapter.

Peace out Buddies!
