Frisk's P.O.V
We appeared in the RUINS where we are standing on the golden flowers. I slowly opened my eyes to meet Chara's garnet eyes. I shifted them over to glanced for Asriel since his SOUL has no effect on the RESET. And yet, I see him...
"You're here!"
Chara was the one to react when she heard the first voice she remembered. Turning around, her eyes widened to see Asriel, wearing his yellow-striped green sweater and black pants. His grey eyes beamed with happiness as he ran over and enveloped her into a big hug. With a yelp, Chara immediately hugged him back, nuzzling her face into his soft fur.
"Hey! Stop going all fluffy, you two!" Flowey yelled, earning a flick in the head by my fingers. He hissed at me while raising his leafy arm to his head to rub the sore he received.
After the two broke the hug, they looked at each other once more before turning me who I gave them a small confident smile.
"I see you two are okay, thankfully." Asriel started, with a sigh of relief "Good thing I was no longer look like him." He pointed his finger at Flowey.
"Hey, get your finger of me, goatboy!" Flowey demanded, feeling offensive of being pointed by him.
Asriel sighed and lowered his finger down and dropped his hand by his side. "Anyways, I was wondering... how did you guys revived? Sans told me that there's no revival after Frisk saved you."
"Well, it's because we have our determination, Azzy." Chara answered informatively, "Our SOULs are empty without them so what I did was used the syringes that I stole from Alphy's lab, it was the red substance that Dr. Gaster ejected from me a long time ago. And if you wondering about how SOUL appeared inside me was because, after I was saved from Frisk, the side effect was replacing an empty SOUL with no trait into my body. So by splitting the SOUL I had in half, I injected my determination into mine and Frisk's and they began recovering." She and I took out our SOULs to show him the SOUL's repairing. Afterwards, we push it back into our body "So, that's how we ended up here thanks to Flowey's ability."
"Ability?"
"It was nothing, goatboy... so don't worry about it." Flowey babbled sarcastically, not wanting to explain everything.
"Pffft... fine."
"So, now that we're here... shall we head for Asgore's castle? I believe that this timeline takes place when everyone was ready to head for the surface." I inquired.
"Yeah, let's go..." Asriel agreed, as he began to walk through the catacombs with Chara, Flowey and I following him.
(Timeskip to Asgore's castle)
"Are we there yet?" Flowey asked, dramatically aloud.
"Shut up Flowey!" Chara yelled, flicking him in the head like I did. "You said like a hundred times!"
"It's fifty times, idiot!" Flowey corrected, hissing at the garnet-eyed brunette.
"Knock it off you two, we're nearly there." I ordered which cuts off the argument between the two as they turned their heads away from each other with a puff of annoyance. I heard Asriel sighing in front of me as he looked ahead to see the sign that says 'Throne Room'.
"Looks like we're here." He announced.
"Finally!" Flowey gushed, laying his head on my shoulder.
We walked into the Throne Room and the first thing I heard was Chara's gasp. I glanced over to see her walking over to the flowers and knelt down to see up close. Her fingers lightly touching the soft yellow petals of the buttercups.
"These flowers... me and Azzy always love them because they are our favorite flowers." She murmured.
"I can see you remember that." Asriel said plainly.
"I do." She nodded, as her smile came across her lips.
"Did any of you's heard something?" A motherly voice asked, coming from the other room.
"I don't hear anything since I got no ears. Also, there aren't any mice around here, are they?" A broad-gangsta voice replied.
"BROTHER, THE ONLY MICE YOU CAN FIND THERE IS IN SNOWDIN!" A loud voice boomed, irritated.
"You mean Silent Mouse?" A loud feminine voice guessed.
"YES! THAT'S THE ONE!" The loud voice agreed.
"T-That little guy is m-muted, so he c-can't talk." Another feminine voice stuttered.
"You're right." The motherly voice admitted.
My eyes widened with realization. My friends are here, all waiting for my return. I turned to Asriel and Chara who had the same reaction, except for Flowey. They are going to meet my friends for second time though Chara had never meet them before.
"Shall I go and see? Maybe it could be Frisk coming back from her walk." A fatherly voice suggested.
"I suppose you can." The motherly voice replied.
Then, we can heard heavy steps making its way towards the doorway. I felt my heart racing with each footsteps, excitement sparks within my veins. I couldn't help but feeling even more happier than before. This is going to be the time whoever comes out from the doorway would be happy to see me, Asriel and more importantly, Chara. At last, I spotted a huge silhouette coming out and with the sunlight from above shining down on familiar monster, a Boss Monster.
His red eyes looked up and then he gasped, his mouth hang open in a small circle. His gaze trails over to me, Asriel and then... the air was caught in his throat when he sees Chara.
"Asgore, is everything okay?" The motherly voice asked.
Asgore didn't answer her question but continued to stare at us in astonishment.
"Well, if there's something wrong, you've got-" The motherly impatiently said, walking into the Throne Room to see what's going on until she was next to gasp at us. "Asriel? C-Chara? Is that you?"
"Hey Mum and Dad." Asriel greeted.
"Greetings Mrs. and Mr. Dreemurr." Chara greeted, waving at them.
"My children!" Toriel exclaimed, simply just walked over to them hastily and embraced them both into tight embrace, which Chara found impossible to breathe and does Asriel. They both wrapped their arms around Toriel's body and returned the hug. After the moments of hugging, she unwrapped her arms and looked at them with teary eyes. "But... how did you come back? I thought you were both died a long time ago."
"Surprise?" Chara simply said, with a smile.
"You should thank Frisk, she's the one who saved us." Asriel convinced, gesturing to me with his thumb.
"Frisk?" The female Boss Monster turned her head towards me, "Did you really save them?"
"Of course." I answered, nodding my head.
"My child... thank you." Toriel whispered, embracing her children once.
"Okay, Ms. Toriel. What's going on in there?!" The loud feminine voice yelled, stomping into the Throne Room with impatience. Stepping into the sunlight, it revealed the blue humanoid-fish monster, Undyne.
"Frisk, we're back! And-" She exclaimed, when she noticed the two she never seen before, "Wait, who are you two?"
"Hello, I'm Chara. Nice to meet you." The brunette greeted, extending her hand out in a friendly gesture.
"And I'm Asriel..." The goatboy added, using the same gestures as Chara.
Undyne looked at the two and a toothy grin came across her lips as she shook their hands, "Heh, nice to meet you too. I'm Undyne."
"HEY UNDYNE! IS SOMEBODY THERE!? CAN I SEE THEM? IS IT A HUMAN?" A loud voice yelled, running into the Throne Room at record speed until he skid to a halt when he saw two people besides me. He gasped, "OH MY GOD! IS THAT A HUMAN?! THEY LOOK FAMILIAR."
"Papyrus, slow down, will ya? Running off like that makes me a slower than ever." The broad-gangsta complained, running after him in hurry revealing to be a skeleton with blue hoodie along with a okatu dinosaur following him. "Whoo... that workout really pay off and-" He hesitated when notice the little gathering on, "... what's goin' on here?"
"Hey... Sans. You... probably... remember me?" Chara greeted, a hint of fear linger in her tone.
Sans turned his head to her and his eyesockets widened, "What is the brat doing-"
"SANS! DON'T CALL HER A 'BRAT', USE A BIT OF ENTHUSIASM AND STOP ACTING RUDE!" Papyrus scolded, lightly slap him in the head.
"It's okay, Papyrus. He just... mad about something." Chara replied casually, not wanting to tell him about the Genocide where she actually beheaded him before crashing his skull to dust.
"OH, I SEE! WELL, IT'S OKAY THEN. ALSO, NICE TO MEET YOU, I'M PAPYRUS!" He greeted with a beaming smile.
"Chara's the name." She replied, shaking his hand with a warm gesture which surprises Sans.
"A-A-And I'm Alphys, the scientist." The okatu scientist added, holding out her shaky hand and Chara gladly shook it with the same feeling.
"Hey babe." I heard Sans's voice behind me which I turned around my face to meet him, "Why's Chara's acting so nice?"
"She changed." I answered, "She thinks that acting cruel and bad wasn't who she is so she decided to act friendly towards everyone."
"Heh, I'm surprised that I wouldn't blast her with one of my blasters." He winked at me with his usual grin, "But... seeing she's different, I'll just go with it but I'll keep an eyesocket out for anything suspicious about her." I giggled a bit until I felt something move around my neck which Sans took notice, "Say, what's that around your neck?" But it wasn't long until Flowey pop out from my collar.
"Howdy!" The flower greeted, "I'm Flowey."
"You again, weed?" He narrowed his eyesockets suspiciously.
"Hey, just because Frisk brought me along doesn't mean I'm going to be friends with you since greeting was my first step, trashbag."
"Why you little-"
"Knock it off, you two." I ordered, pulling Flowey back so he doesn't have to jump up and attacked Sans's face.
"Say, my child..." Toriel said, getting my attention, "Shall we head for the surface? The barrier is broken so we can leave the underground now."
"Sure, let's go." I answered with a nod before taking Sans's hand. "This way." I pointed to the direction and all of my friends along with Chara, we made our way to the exit until we stepped outside the cave. My eyes were met with the warm glow of the sunset, creating a beautiful scenery.
"Wow, it's been a while since I last saw this sunset from my original home."
"Sure it does, sister." I agreed, which caused the two Boss Monsters to turn their heads at me with a surprise look.
"Sister?" Sans repeated, craning his head over to look at me and raised a brow, "Chara is your sister?"
"Her long lost sister." Chara corrected, "I've disappeared since Frisk was only just a baby, only a few months old."
"But why did you just disappear like that?" He questioned, raising a brow.
"It's... kinda hard to explain it though but... I rather not tell you about it." She admitted, looking away from him which makes me worried.
"Shall we keep going?" Asgore asked.
"Yeah, just this way..." I pointed to the other direction to the slope, "We can go down this slope, that should lead to the forest..."
"Right, let's go." He nodded and I began to walk while everyone else following me. As I walk, I noticed that Chara was looking at the sunset and never tears her gaze away from it. I was beginning to get the feeling that Chara was never like this before, or since I don't know when she disappeared while I was only a baby. Despite how I was, Chara and I watch the sunset from the balcony, admiring the glow and warm feeling from the sun.
Chara sighed before turning her head back to the front with her head held down, staring at her moving feet.
"Don't worry about her, Frisk. She's fine." Asriel assured, noticing that I was staring at her with worry. I gave him a nod before looking ahead.
(Timeskip...)
At night, we camped out in the cave, the same cave where we stay from the previous timeline. The campfire was built from the wood gathering by Undyne and Papyrus while the fire was made by Toriel. Asgore was talking with Alphys about some anime while Sans and I chatted. While talking, I noticed that Asriel was walking outside and from the corner of my eye, I spotted Chara sitting outside on a boulder, looking up at the stars. I wondering what these two are doing?
Chara's P.O.V
While everyone was talking in the cave, I snuck myself and sat down on the boulder outside. I need some alone so I can clear my mind. The cool breeze blew through my dark brown hair as I sighed, taking in the cold crisp air and relaxing in the cool embrace of the wind. Yet I wanted it to distract my mind from reflecting on the Genocide. Then, the images of me slaughtering all the monsters in the underground replays in my mind, haunting me. I can almost hear they're whispers, screams, crying and... laughter, my insane laughter. I shut my eyes tight and placed my hands against my ears, wanting to block out the sounds or tear away the images that keeps coming back in my head. I hate it... I can't believe that Demise took control on me, just so he can erase this world, including erasing my... best friend and his family.
"Chara?" A soft voice spoke up, making me yelp a scream but I whipped my head around to see Asriel who looked a little surprise from my scream.
"Don't sneak up on me like that!" I exclaimed, glaring at him.
"S-Sorry!" He apologized, feeling guilty with his hands up in defense "You just seemed down so I came over to ask if you're okay."
I calmed down immediately at his apology and sighed, turning my head away from him, "It's fine, I forgive you." I heard some shuffling and noticed that he was sitting down beside me.
"So tell me... what are you upset about?" He asked gently.
I looked at him for a moment before answering, "It's about Demise..." I turned my eyes up towards the sky to see the stars, "He made me do this because he forced that HATE SOUL into me while I was resting in peace, reincarnate me to do his bidding, causing me to slaughter everyone that I cared about. He's the one that controlled me that links me to control Frisk, making it look like that she was responsible for the kill. I made it worse for her since I notice the way that Sans was glaring at me, he thinks I'm truly a monster. It's all my fault..." I felt my eyes sting with each sentence as tears begin to form. As soon as I blink, the tears spilled and rolled down my rosy cheeks. That's when I felt a hand set on my shoulder, making me turn to Asriel who looked concern and a little sad.
"It's not your fault, Chara." He assured, raising his other hand to brush his thumb against my cheek to wipe away my tears. "And you're not a monster either, you're just got controlled from him that's all." He scooted a little closer, "What you did was not your fault, you can't hardly hurt anyone who you befriends with, that includes me." I quietly gasped at his words but I didn't say anything as he continues, "I fear that losing you is what I was scared of the most, especially since you tried to help the monsters freed from the underground by letting me take your SOUL so we can convince the humans that we're innocent and willing to help, but they turn us down..."
I felt selfish and stupid knowing that the plan I made with Asriel wouldn't work, since he was the only monster who can absorb my heart to cross the barrier and gathered the other six SOULs to break the barrier. He was right about that my plan is not good at all.
"But it doesn't matter now..." He said, making me brought to reality, "You're here now, and things will never be the same..." He closer until I can feel his hot breath against my lips as his eyes were half-lidded, making my cheeks flushed pink. "I'm glad you came." With that, he closed the gap between us making his lips pressed against mine into a soft kiss. My eyes widened as I jolted from my unexpected moment when I felt his lips on mine. What is this feeling? Why was he kissing? Does he care really about me? The questions flows into my head like water filling a tank.
After a few seconds, he slowly pulled back from the kiss and he opened his eyes while he rested his forehead against mine, "Do you know why did that, Chara?" I stared at his eyes, looking for the answers in them but I couldn't find them anywhere. "Not because I see you as a monster or a sibling, but a very special friend who's any fun to play with... and I cared about you more than anyone else. I'm saying this is because... I love you, Chara." He gave me his lovely smile to show obsession and meaning his true feelings.
I couldn't say anything else to reply him. His words weren't like in disguise or telling lies but the honest truth and his feelings for me.
"So please, I understand if you don't feel the same way because I acted like a brother to you and-" He rambled, feeling stupid about what he was saying but I couldn't allow that. I held up a finger to his lips to cut him off.
"No Asriel." I shook my head gently, "I do feel the same feel way, Asriel. I cared about you because you're the only one who never fears when I fell into the underground. You are the one gave me that locket for my birthday and wore it because you are special to me. And for the past five years ago, I began to develop feelings for you since you cared about me so much, that your parents hardly saw this coming. I do love you too, Asriel, and I mean it."
Asriel cracked up the biggest smile he ever had before engulfing me into his arms and kissed me once more. I wrapped my arms around him and kissed back with no LOVE but love. We gently broke the kiss and gazed at each other lovingly, my rosy cheeks have darken into cherry red while Asriel was blushing red.
"Come on, let's go and tell the others." Asriel suggested, as he stood up with his hand out.
"Of course." I agreed, taking his hand and we made our way back to the cave.
Frisk's P.O.V
I heard footsteps entering and I paused my conservation with Sans as I saw Asriel and Chara walking in and to my surprise, they were holding hands.
"So where did you two run off to?" Sans asked.
"Oh, well... you see... Ummm..." Asriel began, stuttering with the words jumbling up in his mouth that makes him impossible to form them into a sentence. But luckily, Chara stepped in for him.
"We have something to tell you guys..." She stated, "Me and Asriel... are dating now." She lifted her hand up that was intertwine with Asriel's. I gasped and everyone else does, including Toriel and Asgore.
"Y-You're dating our son...?" Toriel asked surprisingly, "But you're our child now, why would you-"
"I'm not your child." Chara retorted, "You've adopted me because I don't have a family but you must've mistaken that I do have a family; a family member that I always look after and care for. That family member, was none other than my sister, Frisk."
Everyone gasped with astonishment as they switched their gazes from her to me and back. They look like they didn't know that I was Chara's little sister because we both have the same SOUL, the same complexion and the same determination. I turned to Sans and saw his jawbone dropped to the ground.
"I-I-I don't know what to say, you've been our child for so long that I didn't see this coming..." Toriel mumbled, "We adopted you but I think it's time we called no longer call you our child but to call you as Chara." She let out a smile, "Alright, take care of him, will you Chara?"
"Can do, Toriel." She gave her a smile and beamed up at Asriel who smiled back to her.
"Oh my god, that's another ship!" Alphys squealed with happiness, "I should give you a ship name about Chasriel, no Chariel! OMG!!!"
I giggled and turned to my sister who gave me with her smile. It's official to say that my sister, Chara is now in love with the prince, Asriel Dreemurr.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
My Sayings: YEESSH!! Chariel is my #5 Ship
That's right, I do ship Chariel because despite in the game they are acting like siblings so it's impossible to ship. So I kinda label as BrOTP for starters because you know how people would throw a baseball at my face saying, 'they're siblings'? Well, I would throw a rock at them saying 'they're not blood-related' because Asriel is a monster while Chara is a human. I think it's best to say that having a human-monster relationship is taboo -.-'. Welp, screw that thought, I ship it! So, I'll work on the next one from now on.
Don't forget to leave a VOTE and COMMENT for this chapter if one of yous is a Chariel shipper.
Peace out Buddies!
