Sans

Frisk studied her new surroundings. There were tall leafless trees to both her right and left. There was a large bush to her left, which looked out I place. It almost looked fake. Frisk looked inside the bush and their seemed to be a camera there. Frisk didn't know why, but she thought it would be best to just continue on.

She walked along the path for roughly a mile when all of the sudden Frisk head a loud CRACK! in the background. She turned around to find a broken twig in the path. It wasn't broken before.

Frisk hurried along. She didn't want to get into trouble in this new place so she put her head down and walked fast. She continued on even though she could hear them behind her. Even though she could hear their steady breathing.

Frisk came across a small bridge with bars in either side. They seemed pointless just standing there, they served no purpose.

"H u m a n."
Frisk didn't want to look back but she had a strange feeling about this thing. In a good way, or at least that's what she thought. She turned around.
"D o n t  y o u  k n o w  h o w  t o  g r e e t  a  n e w  p a l ? L o o k  u p  a n d  s h a k e  m y  h a n d ."
Frisk kept her head down, afraid to look up. She could only see it's outstretched hand beneath her wall of hair. She slowly reached her hand out and grasped their hand.

"Pthhhhssssssttttt!"
A whoppie cushion sounded as their hands met. At first Frisk was startled but then she slowly looked up with a smile. A large, skeleton-like man appeared in front of her. He had a huge smile that seemed... ALMOST genuine. It seemed, happily forced. It was hard to explain. He laughed and put his hand back in his oversized blue winter coat.

"Heheh... the old whoopie fusion in the hand trick. It's always funny. Anyways, you're a human, right?"

Frisk looked at him with confusion. The Skelton took it as a yes.

"That's hilarious. I'm sans. Sans the skeleton. I'm actually supposed to be in watch for humans right now. But... y'know... " he chuckled.

"I don't really care about capturing anybody. Now my brother... Papyrus... he's a human-hunting FANATIC. Hey, actually, I think that's him over there." He gestured past the small brigs he with his head.

"I have an idea. Go through This gate thingy." Sans paused waiting for a startled reaction, but she stood there staring at him instead. Sans continued on.

"Yeah, go right through. My bro made the bars too wide to stop anyone."

Frisk turned back to look at the bars again. She revealed a small smile, thinking about who could have thought it would have stopped anybody.

He led her through the bars into a small open area with a small wooden station set up and a... weirdly shaped lamp.

"Quick behind that conveniently-shaped lamp."

Frisk looked at him with perplexment, but he nodded his head in the lamps direction. Frisk rolled her eyes and walked over to the lamp. Anyone with half a brain would think something was up.

"Sup bro." Said sans
"YOU KNOW WHAT SUP BROTHER! ITS BEEN EIGHT DAYS AND YOU STILL HAVEN'T RECALIBRATED YOUR PUZZLES! YOU JUST HANG OUTSIDE YOUR STATION! WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING?!?" A tall Skelton with a funny costume replied to Sans. Frisk almost had to cover her ears he was so loud.

"Staring at this lamp. It's really cool. Do you wanna look?"
"NO!! I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THAT!! WHAT IF A HUMAN COMES THROUGH HERE!?! I WANT TO BE READY!!! I WILL BE THE ONE! I MUST BE THE ONE! I WILL CAPTURE A HUMAN! THEN I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS... WILL GET ALL THE THINGS I UTTERLY DESERVE! RESECT...
RECOGNITION...
I WILL FINALLY BE ABLE TO JOIN THE ROYAL GUARD! PEOPLE WILL ASK TO BE MY 'FRIEND?' I WILL BATHE IN A SHOWER IF KISSES EVERY MORNING." He looked very content about the showered in kisses part.

"Hmm... maybe this lamp will help you."

Frisk almost burst into laughter. She held it in, but only just barely. Sans is your friend. Don't fuck it up, ok? He's really nice. No shit Sherlock! I'm going to have a lot of fun with this guy, aren't I?

Frisk already knew the response.

"SANS!!! YOU ARE NOT HELPING!! YOU LAZYBONES!! ALL YOU DO IS SIT AND BOONDOGGLE! YOU GET LAZIER AND LAZIER EVERY DAY!!!"
"Hey, take it easy. I've gotten a ton of work done today. A skeleton."
"SANS!!!"
"Come on, you're smiling."
"I AM AND I HATE IT!!! SIGH... WHY DOES SOMEONE AS GREAT AS ME HAVE TO DO SO MUCH JUST TO GET SOME RECOGNITION..."
"Wow. Sounds like you're really working yourself... down to the bone." Frisk was pleased with the joke even though she didn't find it funny.

"UGH! I WILL ATTEND TO MY PUZZLES. AS FOR YOUR WORK.. PUT A LITTLE MORE 'BACKBONE' INTO IT!!!! NYEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!!"
Papyrus left the area when all of the sudden he turned around again.
"HEH!"
Frisk was tearing with laughter when he finally left and Sans spoke up.

"Ok. You can come out now. You oughta get going. He might come back. And if he does... you'll have to sit through more of my hilarious jokes." Sans winked.

Frisk smiled as she walked away from the lamp and toward where Papyrus seemed to be. She wanted to meet him.

"Actually, I don't want to bother ya, but could you do me a favor? I was thinking... my brother been kinda down lately. He's never seen a human before. And seeing you just might make his day. Don't worry. Es not dangerous."

Frisk widened her eyes and clasped her hands on her cheeks. "Really?" Frisk rolled her eyes.

Sans looked shocked. Just like the face Flowey gave her when she spoke. Maybe it was disrespectful in their culture? But that didn't seem the case. It's seemed like they had never heard a human speak before. Like maybe humans never got the chance to speak down here. Sans blinked hard but held his nonchalant face.

"Even if he tries to be. Thanks a million. I'll be up ahead." Sans walked back the direction he came but Papyrus was the opposite way.

Frisk shrugged it off and head down the path.
