Frisk tumbled from to top of Mt. Abott, into the depths of the underground. Everything went black.
She woke up on a bed of golden flowers. She slowly sat up. Frisk had no idea where she was. She got up and studied her surroundings.
She was in an abandoned cave, which looked more like a room. The walls were flat and the soil beneath her was soft. She let her toes be submerged under the cool dirt. The air was cool and as she looked up, she saw the distance she had fallen. She was surprised she was even still alive. She wasn't sure if she even wanted to be. Is this real? Is it heaven?
She looked around the cave. There seemed to be a door at the far end of the cave, with intricate linings around the door. It's like that painting mother used to have. Frisk shook the thought. Frisk didn't want to think about it anymore. She wandered closer to the door.
To Frisks luck, there was no lock. She opened the door and peeked her head inside. Inside, she saw a golden flower surrounded by a patch of grass. There was a beautiful light shining on the flower, seeming to come from a hole in the cave ceiling. There was happy music playing, but Frisk couldn't seemed to find where from. Maybe there was a speaker in the walls? She didn't know how it really worked around here.
"Howdy! I'm Flowey the flower!"
Frisk was snatched from her thoughts. A taking flower? What the hell is this place?
"Your new to the underground, aren' tcha?" The flower continued.
The underground. Where have I heard that before? Frisk was silent. She turned her head to the side and looked at the flower again. It had a face, smiling back at her. Even though the flower looked happy, something seemed wrong. Almost liked he had done this many times before. It had to be rehearsed. Flowey took her answer as a yes and continued his dialogue.
"Golly you must be so confused. Someone ought to teach you how things work around here! I guess little old me will have to do. Ready? Here we go!"
Frisk felt her heart inside her chest being pulled from her body. Almost like it was being ripped from her, never to return. There was just something odd about that grin of his. Frisk wasn't sure if this was a good idea.
"See that heart? That is your SOUL, the very culmination of your being! Your SOUL starts off weak, but can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV."
Frisk was still on that thought. Where have I heard the name underground before?
"What's LV stand for? Why, LOVE of course! You want some LOVE, don't you? Don't worry, I'll share some with you." I don't want any.
"Down here, LOVE is shared through... little white... 'friendliness pellets.' Are you ready? Move around! Get as many as you can!"
Flowey aimed pellets at her SOUL and blasted them in her direction. Frisk grabbed her heart and pulled it away. The pellets flew by and hit the dirt. Flowey seemed annoyed. All of the sudden, the music got deeper. It also became slower, like something was wrong. He gave Frisk a look.
"Hey buddy, you missed them. Let's try again, ok?"
He got more pellets and aimed them towards her heart. Frisk was smarter than that. She took her SOUL again and moved it away. The flower's seeming happily smile started to change. The music became even more deep and slowed to a snails pace.
"Is this a joke? Are you braindead? RUN. INTO. THE. BULLETS!!!friendliness pellets."
Frisk was done with this flower. She wanted to find a way out of here. She tried to pull her SOUL close but she couldn't. It was trapped. She decided to move it away again and Flowey practically lost it. He went crazy and his expression turned dark. The music started to space out until it stopped completely.
"You know what's going on here, don't you? You just wanted to see me suffer."
No, I don't know what's going on. It's just the fact you're a talking god damn flower. I don't trust you. Flowey made a circle of pellets around her SOUL. Flowey laughed a vicious laugh.
"DIE."
She was surrounded. Frisk stood still. If she moved her SOUL the pellets would destroy it. She tried to escape but it was too late. She hugged her SOUL tightly. The pellets started to enclose now around her whole body. Frisk lowered herself to the floor, getting as far away from the pellets as possible. Flowey cackled once more as she closed her eyes in surrender.
All of the sudden, the pellets stopped. Frisk looked up. A tall figure destroyed the flower with a single fireball. She came over to Frisk and held out her hand. Frisk took it.
"What a terrible creature. Torturing a poor innocent youth..."
She looked look a goat. Like a really weird goat. What's up with goat lady? She had a purple dress with an intricate design on top. It was quite silky and flowed to the floor like an angelic presence. It looks like moms.
"Ah, do not be afraid my child. I am Toriel, caretaker of the RUINS. I pass through this place every day to see if anyone has fallen down. You are the first human to come here in a long time." A human? Could it have been..... sis?
Toriel outstretched her hand and Frisk hesitantly took it. The RUINS. I've heard that before too. She helped her up off the floor and dusted her off. She wiped away the dirt from her face.
"Come! I will guide you through the catacombs. This way!"
Frisk followed, just a step behind. She had no idea where she was and she couldn't trust anybody.
