Coming back From the Reset

Frisk slowly pushed her self of the bed of flowers and stood up. Everything was exactly the same. The cave walls, the time of day, even the temperature was the same. The feeling was eerie, like this wasn't supposed to happen. Frisk didn't think it was.

Hey. Let's get on with it. Frisk looked towards the door and confidently strutted out. Oh, hey, you have to run into Flowey to find Toriel. She'll come by and save you.

Before Frisk approached Flowey she stopped. It's weird how you know so much. Not weird, just sad. How many times have you reset? There was no reply.

Frisk approached Flowey.

"Clever. Verrrryyy clever.
You think you're really smart, don't you?" His face was smug as he stared at Frisk.
"So you were able to play by your own rules.
You spared your relationship between you and Toriel.
But don't act so cocky.
I know what you did.
You wanted to redo what was pretty much perfect.
Selfish!" His face turned scary as his smile turned upwards.

"And then you went back, because you regretted it.
Ha ha ha ha...
You naive idiot." He said, scolding Frisk.
"Do you think you are the only one with that power?
The power to reshape the world..." He stared longingly into the distance. His gaze never wavered from that spot far off into the depths of the cave. After a minute of staring he looked back at Frisk and regained his smile.
"Purely by your own determination.
The ability to play God!
The ability to "SAVE."
I thought I was the only one with that power. But..." He gave Frisk the look of envy. Greed.
"I can't SAVE anymore.
Apparently YOUR desires for this world override MINE.
Well well." Flowey disapprovingly frowned at Frisk.
"Enjoy that power while you can.
I'll be watching." He cackled.

Floweys face changed back to sweet and innocent, like nothing happened. "Back to the script," he said. His smile didn't seem so kind anymore.

"See that heart? That is your SOUL, the very culmination of your being! Your SOUL starts off weak, but..."

Frisk stopped listening. She stood still as she braced for the impact of the pellets. She felt the soft exterior of the pellets touch her skin then she felt them explode. They all blew up around the heart and Frisk fell to the floor. She grimaced in pain as she held her heart. "That really hurts you asshole!"

Floweys devilish grinned turned to confusion. "What? You're not supposed to say anything. You never say anything..." He looked confused.

Frisk saw Toriel standing over Flowey and she hit him with a big glowing fireball. "What a terrible creature, hunting such a poor, innoce-" OOF.

Frisk leaped up and hugged Toriel. "Oh, hello, child. Don't be afraid. I shall lead you through the catacombs."

Toriel led Frisk through the catacombs all the way until her doorstep. Frisk promptly clicked the star, the save button. Sometimes you want to save. Others its best to not. So you can go back to the beginning.

Toriel showed Frisk her room then ran to get her pie. Frisk came with her, and Toriel was surprised. Frisk spent every moment she could with Toriel until Frisk had the choice, once again, to stay with Toriel or to go and find sis. Unless it's a new decision, I won't give my input. Your free to do as you please.

"Do you know how to exit the RUINS?" Frisk held her breath.

"What? My child, why would you leave? This is your home now, you will be living here."

"I love you!" Frisk hugged Toriel and slowly pulled away to look back at her face. "But I need to leave here. I hope you'll understand."

Toriel looked shocked but she obliged anyway. She led Frisk down the stairs until she reached a bright purple door. "This is it, my child. The end of the tunnel." Toriel laughed at her own joke. "Now, if you could, don't bother coming back. I... I would prefer this to be a goodbye to remember. I hope YOU understand."

"Of course!" Frisk didn't want to leave, and she wanted the possibility to come back, but she was ok with the decision she made. "I love you."

Frisk pulled away and saw that Toriel was in the verge of tears. Frisk smiled a weak smile and whispered "Goodbye." She didn't want to have the pain of seeing Toriel cry.

She took the handle of the door and pushed on it. It lead to a beautiful sunny day in a land filled with snow. Frisk turned back to see Toriel had already gone.

Frisk took a deep breath and set foot onto the new, glistening white landscape.

A/N- Sorry if my chapters are short!(or too long I guess), but it gives me good places to stop/put cliffhangers. Also, if you haven't noticed, I like to follow the actual dialogue of the characters. I usually only make small adjustment to the lines to make them relevant. It takes a while to find the lines I'm looking for so I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for reading!!!!
