Undertale x Life Is Strange Part 1
A/N: The one-shot below is based on this crossover of UT and a role-playing game called 'Life Is Strange'. I know that honestly, Undyne and Alphys would be more suited to the main characters' roles here, but I seriously had this scene in my head when I watched the ending. ;_;
There are a 'hella' load of spoilers of the game LIS and curse words in here!!! Read at your own risk!!! :O
"Sans!! I can't do this!!"
"No, Frisk... You're the only one who can."

Get me out of this nightmare, get me out...! GET ME OUT!
I felt my body collapse to the floor, my hands detecting the wet earth beneath me. Raindrops pelted on the back of my head and the wind howled and thunder boomed in my ears.
And then my ears picked up another noise. "Frisk? Frisk, can you hear me?"
It sounded deep and smooth and worried... "Please... say something."
"S-Sans?" I squeaked. "I-I must have passed out. I'm so sorry."
I could hear his loud and relaxed sigh. "Oh god, thank god. Don't you ever do that again, you hear me kiddo?" He wrapped his arm below my shoulders as I stumbled to stand up.
My voice didn't feel right. "I swear... but my nightmare... god it was so real... was so horrible..." I felt more drops of water roll down my face.
"It's alright," He assured me, wrapping his hand around my chest. "I'm here, okay? It's over..."
"No, it isn't." My voice unnaturally cracked as I broke the small hug and walked towards the cliffside. The lighthouse wasn't shining its light, I'm assuming that it broke down.
What I saw next was jaw-dropping.
A hundred-foot grey cyclone with the width of a hundred cars was sweeping off the seas. The waves were slowly curling around its edges and the wind picked up debris that made the phenomenon look more like an epic disaster. Lightning was flashing at the corner of my eyesight, and the darker clouds only made the tornado look more like Armageddon.
I couldn't take any of that, the sight of it sickened me and left my mouth opened agape. I.. did that...? No...
"This..." I started. "... This is my storm. I caused this... I caused all of this!!" I hollered. "I changed fate and destiny so much that I actually... did alter the course of everything...!"
All Sans did was watch me with painful eyes. "And all that I've ever created," I continued, my face buried in my hands. "Was death and destruction!!"
Sans pulled out a rage face and walked up to me, grabbing my shoulder. "Fuck all of that, okay?!" He retorted. "You were given a power. You didn't ask for it, and you saved me! You saved all of us!" He reasoned. "Which had to happen, all of this did..." His voice paused for a moment.
"Except for what happened to Chara and Asriel." That hit me like a tonne of bricks.
Fortunately, he was able to atone for it. "But without your power, none of us would have found the both of them!"
Maybe we could have if I made the right choices...
He sensed my lack of confidence and gripped onto both of my shoulders tightly, making me yelp. "Okay, so you're not the goddamn Time Master, but you're Frisk the human," He said with conviction.
"And you're amazing."
I was speechless. "I only wish that what you said is fully true." was all I could spit out before averting my attention back to the storm. Understanding, Sans loosen his grip on my shoulders.
I felt seconds pass by like they were hours before he spoke again.
"Frisk... This is the only way."
When I turned my attention to him, he was holding up a medium-sized orange glowing rectangle in his two boney hands. The button read five letters in caps.
'RESET'
My throat went dry. "I-I feel like the last time I saw that was a thousand years ago..."
His hands stretched out to me, motioning me to hold the button in my hands. With trembling hands, I stretched out my own chubby hands to take the button. The minute he let go of it, I could feel some sort of energy flowing through my veins. Something called...
Determination.
Who the hell gives a fuck about that anymore?
"You..." He started slowly. "You could use that button, that power, to change everything since you entered the Underground." He explained. "All that would take, is for me to... for me to-" I caught the sight fluorescence blue tears flowing down his face. I couldn't do it, no I won't!
"Fuck that!" I screamed stubbornly, throwing the button aside to leave it hovering in the air. "No, no way! You are my number-one priority right now!! You are all that matters to me." I lowered my voice. "I can't lose you."
He lowered his head, avoiding eye contact. "I know... You proven that to me over and over again... even though I don't deserve it..." I could hear his voice crack. "I've been so selfish when you were away, I'm nothing like those monsters and humans who accepted each other and live together in harmony, no matter what happened in between them..." He clenched his teeth.
"They deserve to be alive, to not die in this fucking tornado!!! So many of them deserve to live!!"
I couldn't believe my ears. "But you-!"
"The minute I lost Papyrus, I went haywire! You saw it!" He cut me off. "Threatening everyone until the monsters you knew as your family left me too! They should not die in some shit-ass storm, none of them do!" His shouts started to sound more like cries.
"Don't say that!" I wailed. "I'm not trading you!"
His face got serious. "You are not trading me." His head turned back to stare into my eyes. "Maybe, all you've been doing it delaying me from my real destiny... Look at how many times I died, or nearly died around you! So many times that you had to retrace back to your SAVE points just to save me, and then have me dead in the next hour! And those SAVEs are what caused this goddamn storm!" He screeched. "I know I'm selfish but for once, maybe I deserve to be dead, especially after what the hell happened since you left."
I refused to believe in what Sans was saying, I couldn't! "No... Sans, I can't..."
He heaved a small sigh. "Kid, you finally came back to me this week. After so long." A small smile was plastered on his skull. "You grew up to become so amazing and kind and mature, and spending time with you again was the best thing that has ever happened to me. You made me smile and laugh for real, like I haven't done in years." He grinned sadly, reminiscing our times together.
"Wherever I end up after this..." No. "Whatever alternate reality I'm in," Don't. "All those moments between us will remain real," I watched his sad yet happy eyes lock onto my fearful ones. "And they'll always belong to us!"
"... No, please...!" My eyes were full of saline tears. "I don't want to do it!!"
Ignoring what I said, Sans held onto my shoulders again. "Remember what I said back then? Whatever you choose..."
"I know you'll make the right decision."
I couldn't do it, I couldn't, I shouldn't!
"Sans...! I-I can't lose you! Not after losing everyone else!" I sobbed. "I don't see Toriel, or Asgore, or Undyne and Alphys, or even Mettaton and Napstablook anymore!!" My hands flew to my head and my fingers pulled my chocolate-brown short hair tightly. "I lost my real family and my monster family, but now I can't lose you!!" I shook my head furiously, my teeth making noises from my grits. "You're the last person left!! Please!!!"
I felt his boney fingers caress my hair before his thumb pressed on the bottom of my chin to make me stare into his eye sockets. The little white pinpricks that were looking at me kindly, understanding everything that I was going through. I swear that my cheeks were blushing a vibrant red, but fuck that I don't care.
I closed my eyes shut, hoping to keep the image of his face and kind smile in my head. He held me in his arms, my face buried in his chest. I honestly feel like shit, I could save the entire world of monsters and humans at the cost of my best friend?! Fuck that, no way!
All the times we had together were flooding through my mind like a bullet train. His voices and his smiles were repeating in my head like broken records.
"Even after all these years, you're still Frisk. Welcome home, kiddo." A welcoming smile.
"I know it was your birthday last month... Here, I bought it for you a year ago, thinking about how you would like to snap polaroids as a teen." An empathetic smile.
"This song fucking rules! Can't dance, hippie?! C'mon!" A crazy yet zealous smile.
"You were here today, Frisk. And you saved me. I'm still tripping on that..." A thankful smile.
"Let's talk about that superpower of yours. C'mon you can reverse time at your fingertips! I know magic, but that power's fucking insane! We have to play!" A childish smile.
"You saved me again! Christ, now we're totally bonded for life..." An 'I'm so glad to know you' face.
"As long as you're my partner in time. And don't try to go back for seconds, the clock ain't hungry." A cheeky smile.
"C'mon!! You can't tell me that splashing me wasn't fun. Admit it, you wanted to do it." An 'I know what you're thinking' smile.
"Photobomb!" A purely innocent smile, for once.
"For example, I dare you to kiss me. Heh, I double dare you, kiss me now." A smug smile.
"Whoa, awesome picture! Paps took it well, we look so awesome in that halloween gear. Even though you took forever to convince me to put it on." A nostalgic smile.
"You sound high... I kinda dig it." An intimidating and lustful smile.
"Alright, alright, I'm really sorry. Forgive me?" An apologetic smile.
All of them not sparing his bubbly, kind personality that I have fallen in love with.
"Sans... I can't do this...!" My voice is muffled by his jacket.
"No, Frisk..." I held onto every word that he spoke.
"You're the only one who can."
