Strange Feeling [8]
"That god damn smiley trashbag..." Flowey snapped shakily. Gaster let out a small exhale of air, as he furrowed his brow.
"I'm sorry, Flowey... But it couldn't have been avoided..."
"He didn't have to kill her!!"
"But she was trying to kill them. He had no choice..." Gaster replied, causing Flowey and him to go dead silent.
"....Anyway..." Gaster continued, as he tried to change the subject, wanting Flowey to be less distraught, "We'll have to wait for Sans and Frisk to return..."

"so, where are we going?" The younger version of Sans questioned, as Frisk was pulling him along by the hand. She looked over to him over his shoulder.
"Like I told you, I'm saving you from this place! I'm getting you out of here!"
"h-how did you even know about me...? i mean, gaster wouldn't tell anyone about this... he wouldn't even tell my brother, which i'm glad about... but why you?"
"Trust me kid, you wouldn't believe me if I told you." Frisk replied. She looked ahead of her again, a grin spreading on her face. "There it is! The front door!" She exclaimed, as they got closer to it. However, her smile soon vanished when she saw the door needed a pass-code. "Dammit! ...Now what...?" She muttered to herself under her breath. Sans stepped forward, entering numbers into the digit lock next to the door. Frisk rose her eyebrows at him in surprise.
"You know the password?"
"yea... i accidentally saw it once when i tried to escape one time before. i followed gaster towards this door and saw him entering the password... sadly he caught me though before i even made it outside..."
"What happened when he caught you?"
"heh... what do you think? i got locked back up again....... if gaster ever finds out about this, he's gonna kill me... hell, you might get in a lot of trouble too..."
"It's gonna be fine, don't worry..." She reassured him, as he entered in the last few digits and the two metal doors started to slide open, revealing a bright light which blinded the both of them, as they had both become so used to the darkness around them. Sans' eyes widened, and he beamed towards the open doors in delight.
"no way..." He whispered under his breath, as Frisk slowly led him through the doors. "i'm... actually outside...."
"Yeah, welcome to the outside world now... Kiddo." She grinned, using the nickname that he had always used on her. He looked towards her, still smiling. It made her soul feel so warm, seeing how happy he was. Kneeling down, she looked at him seriously.
"Now... You better get away from here, fast. Find your brother too, and keep each other safe. Alright? And 'tibia' honest, it's pretty cold out here so make sure you don't get frozen to the bone." She winked, which caused him to chuckle.
"i still don't understand why you would do this for me but.... thanks.... a skele-ton..." He grinned, giving her a hug.
"Haha... No problem... Now go on, off you go." She replied, pulling away from the hug. He quickly nodded and gave her a final wave, before he ran off to start his journey back home. She hoped he was going to be okay...
Anyway... I better get back to Sans and see if he's okay fighting against Chara... I hope I'm not too late... She thought to herself, as she turned around and quickly ran back inside.

Screaming out in pain, Chara felt a bone go right through her shoulder, as she failed to dodge another attack from Sans. She sat on the dirty, dark floor, trying to catch her breath as she held her injured arm.
"do you like that? you little brat... does it feel good, huh? having pain inflicted upon you, time and time again? do you think everyone enjoyed that, when you killed them in timeline after timeline? do you think frisk enjoyed it when you tried to mentally break her, to try and do your dirty work? heh... it's about time you felt the pain for everything you've done..." He coldly said, as he started to walk towards her. She stayed silent for a moment, until a small sound of laughter escaped her lips, which caused him to stop and narrow his eyes at her, wondering exactly what she found so funny.
"Oh shut it, smiley trashbag..." She commented, slowly raising her head towards him. "You shouldn't act like you're so damn perfect.... You act like as if you're the guy who should get rid of all injustice... Yet... Why do you LET all your friends die around you, time and time again? Why do you LET them suffer, even though you know something will happen to them, thanks to me?" She grinned, seeing Sans' expression slightly falter. "But I guess that's it, isn't it? You pretend to be happy... And you pretend to act like a goody two shoes, because you don't want the guilt that you have upon your shoulders, to weigh you down... You're pathetic... Why don't you just stop running from the truth? Haha... Being a monster, really suits you, doesn't it?"
"heh..." Sans closed his eyes for a moment, then reopened them. "y'know... i never said that i never felt guilt for all the things i pretty much allowed to happen... but it's not like i WANTED to let you kill everyone."
"So why did you? Why didn't you tell Papyrus about me, hm? Or any of the others? You could have warned them, but you didn't... You allowed them to die... Do you know how Papyrus would feel if he found out, huh?"
"heh..... enough talkin', kid." He clicked his fingers, impaling her with another bone, once again causing her to cry out in agony. He sighed. "it's not like i enjoy doin' this... it's not like i like keepin' secrets from everyone and havin' to hide everythin'... but you never give me a choice... the only thing i want, is to be able to protect everyone from a runt like you....... don't try comin' back... it's over, chara."
"Haha... You still haven't changed... Comedian..." She laughed, despite the fact that she was moments from death... But then, her laughter abruptly ended, as a look of shock suddenly crossed her face. Sans' angered face, was pulled into a more confused one. "W-What the...?" Chara muttered. "What is this...? Strange feeling I'm.... Suddenly... Getting...?" She continued. Before any sense was made out of anything she said, her body then disappeared into the air, causing her soul to be the only thing to remain.
Seeing that the fight seemed to be over, Sans allowed himself to collapse back onto the floor in pure exhaustion. He looked down at his blood soaked shirt with a slight frown and closed his eyes, resting his head on the cold, metal floor.
"Sans!!" Frisk's voice called, from the other side of the hall. Her footsteps sounded down the corridor, as she quickly ran towards him and skidded to a halt just beside him. She quickly bent down and lightly pulled him into her arms.
"Oh my god, Sans! A-Are you okay?!" She cried, seeing the state of his shirt and blue hoodie. He slowly nodded.
"y-yea... i'm fine... jus'... bone tired, that's all... heh..." He chuckled. Frisk stared down at him worried, as he opened his eyes back up. "ya know... i jus' realized somethin'..."
"W-What...?"
"this whole time... i had always tried to turn my back on my past... and there was somethin' i had completely forgotten because of that... how i escaped and how i got away from all that... it was you, frisk..."
"H-Huh? W-Wait, you mean, this was SUPPOSED to happen?"
"i... guess so... i remember it now... you were the one who saved me frisk, and i had no idea who you were..."
"W-Woah..." Frisk replied. A small smile started to form on her face. "Well, you know I'll always be here to save you, Sans... Always..."
"heh, i know.... thanks, kiddo..."
"No problem, Sans...... Anyway, we better get back to Gaster and Flowey... Gaster will need to patch you up after all....... Come on." She said, as she tried to help him up. When the two of them were stood on their feet, Frisk's eyebrows went up in wonder, as she saw Chara's soul still floating in the air.
"Hold on..." Frisk murmured, slowly walking towards it.
"kid, what are you doin'?"
"Just wait..." She said, slowly reaching her hand out towards it. When she touched Chara's soul, she felt a strange feeling over wash her... Not a negative feeling... But a more happy feeling... Which was so strange for Chara's soul...
"Sans.... Let's get Chara's soul back there too... Maybe we can revive her."
"w-what? revive her? why?"
"Look, Sans... I know she's done a lot of horrible things but... I really believe that I can make her become a better person... I have to be determined and TRY. After all... Her soul feels weird... It doesn't feel negative and hateful like you'd expect it to normally... This time, she seems more... Positive."
Sans sighed. "....alright.... fine, we'll take her back with us and see what alphys can do... but honestly, i think it's a bad idea"
