You gritted your teeth as pain went through your body. Flowery had absorbed everyone and had turned into Asgore's and Toriel's son, Asriel. He had turned into his adult form and was still really hard to beat.

You had just finished saving everyone's souls as Asriel floated in front of you. You were trying to save him now.

"Come on Asriel. Stop this. We can get your soul back and you can live with your parents again." You told him as you dodged another array of cosmic arrows shot at you.

He shook his head. "No you can't! Just die already!" He yelled as he shook his head furiously. He shot another set of arrows that you dodge.

"Yes we can! Even Chara knows that!" You yelled back as you dodged. It was getting easier and easier to dodge. Some attacks were evening dodging you now.

"How would you know what Chara knows?! He's dead!" Yelled Asriel, tears in his eyes.

You smiled. "Chara went into my body when I came down here. He talks to me time to time. He misses the old Asriel. The one that was his brother. He knows a way to bring back your soul." You told him and he stopped.

Asriel fell to the ground. "W-what? W-what is it?" He asked. You smiled as Chara appeared beside you.

"Hey Asri! Long time hasn't it?" Chara said as his ghostly form went over to Asriel.

Asriel had tears in his eyes. "C-Chara? Is that really you?" He asked as Chara hugged him.

"It's me alright bro. I've got a way to bring you back to life and not some dumb flower. It will also destroy the barrier and release everyone. Though you may not like it." Chara told him. Asriel looked confused and did you.

"W-what is it?" Asriel asked. You stood a few feet away from the brothers, unsure to get close or not.

"Your soul is still mixed with mine. I can send it back into you and then use the other six souls to break the barrier." Chara said and yours and Asriel's eyes widen. He was going to sacrifice himself to break the barrier.

"But Chara! What about your soul? What will happen to it?" Asriel asked desperately as Chara stood and held out his hands. A light shined from them as the souls left Asriel, including the monsters souls which all appeared where they had been before. The six souls circled around Chara as his soul came out, red with a white tint, popped out of his chest. A white heart separated from his soul, making it a solid red now, and the hearts all circled each other.

Chara turned to you and smiled brightly. "Watch my brother for me, ok (Y/N)?" He asked happily as his body slowly disappeared. You nodded as Asriel ran towards the disappearing body of Chara.

"Chara!" He yelled as Chara smiled at him sadly.

"I'll always be with you Asriel. Remember that. Goodbye." He said as he faded away completely. Asriel fell to the ground as the barrier broke, making a large boom sound, and started crying. His soul floated down and sank into his chest as everyone started waking up, having been passed out.

You rushed over to the crying goat monster and held him as he cried into you. You heard your friends gasp as they woke up but you didn't pay any attention to it.

"It's ok Asriel. Let it out, let it all out." You told him as he cried into your chest. You felt a hand on your shoulder and looked up to see Toriel staring at Asriel and you in shock.

"A-Asriel? Is that you?" She asked and Asriel looked up to his mother. Asgore also came up to look at you two in shock.

"M-mom? D-dad?" Asriel asked as he let go you to look at them. Toriel, with tears in her eyes, held out her arms. The Royal family were now all crying and hugging each other. You smiled at the sight and looked around. Sans waved you over to him.

"You did good kid. What did you do anyways? We can't remember anything after that dumb flower appeared." He said. You explained what had happened, that Chara had ended using his soul to open up the barrier and bring Asriel back, though was now an adult.

"Wow. That must've made you bone tired huh?" Sans joked and you giggled and nodded. Suddenly, everything started spinning and Sans' eye sockets widen in alarm.

"Kid, are you ok?!" He yelled and that was the last thing you heard before passing out.

You woke up in a void, floating aimlessly. In front of you was Chara, who was smiling.

"Hey (Y/N)!" He said happily as he floated over to you.

"Where am I?" You asked. You remember talking to Sans when suddenly you passed out.

"Oh I needed to talk to you so I brought you here." He told you and you nodded.

"Ok, what do you need Chara?" You asked curiously.

"I want you to stay with my brother. Asriel is going to be really hurt about me leaving him again. Please stay with him." Chara told you seriously. You had never heard him so serious before.

"I won't. I promise." You told him. Chara nodded and smiled brightly.

"Good. I should know that you wouldn't anyways, with you crushing on him and all." He teased you, making you blush.

"W-what?! I-I am not!" You stuttered. Chara only smirked and poked at your sides.

"That a lie and you know it.~ I was literally in your mind remember?" He told you and you groaned.

"Whatever. Can I go back now?" You asked him, annoyed at being teased. Chara nodded and waved goodbye.

"Bye (Y/N)! I'll come visit sometime ok? Oh! And you no longer have reset!" He said as everything faded to black.

"(Y/N)?! (Y/N)?! (Y/N)!?!" You heard as you groaned and opened your eyes. All of your friends were around you, worry showing in their eyes.

"(Y/N)! Are you ok?!" Asriel asked you and you nodded, sitting up before wincing as pain went through your head.

"W-what happened?" You asked quietly. Sans let out a breath of relief. Can skeletons even do that?

"You passed out on me kid. Gave everyone quite a scare. Especially princey here." Sans told you and Asriel blushed bright red, making everyone laugh.

"Dang. Stupid Chara. He could of waited a while." You said and Asriel's eyes widen.

"Chara talked to you?" He asked you and you nodded.

"Yeah, he said to watch out for you and I can't reset anymore." The last part you mumbled under your breath and only Asriel and Sans heard it.

"Well the barrier is broken now. Let's go." You said as you stood. You clutched your head as pain swept through it again but Asriel steadied you.

"You ok?" He asked and you nodded.

"I'll live. I've been through worse." You told him as you smiled. He nodded and smiled back. Together, you all left the underground. However, everyone but the two of you noticed that you and Asriel were holding hands as you left. Everything was perfect.
