beauty and the beast, part five (fallencre)

~In the village~

Eterna was in the catle, guarding the place with some other guards. They were just switching shifts as peinture runs in. "Help! Someone help me!" Eterna was the first one to see him. "Peinture?" "Please, I need your help! They have him locked in the tower!" Eterna walked up to the slightly panicing peinture. "Who?" "Encre! We must go, not a minute to lose!" "Wow, calm down. Who got encre locked in a tower?" "The vampires have!" The whole room went silent. Eterna narrowed her eyes. "They can't, they live in the forest and there is nothing in there except plants." She told him, not believing him. "I am serious! They got him locked in the tower of a huge castle!" Eterna laughed. "A castle? I've been in that forest more than once and I've never seen a castle in there." The rest of the guard joined in with laughing. "And it was day so the vampires are burning or asleep." "Please help me out with this!" "Oh we'll help you out." One of the guards said and signed another to help him get peinture out of the castle. They trew him out like he was nothing. Eterna was still going to see if she could find the castle, willing to kill every single vampire she could find. The whole village thought both peinture and encre were crazy so it wouldn't be a surprise if they didn't find anything. It would be night soon and it's dangerous to go out past sunset, everyone knew that so eterna had to go the next morning. Peinture was already on his way home, concerned about encre. Encre was still inside of his room, crying. He already missed peinture a lot. The sun was yet to come out. There was a knock on his door. "Who is there?" He asked. "My name is gazelle, can I come in?" Encre went to open the door, there was a kind looking maid standing at the other side. "I thought you would like some tea." Encre nodded and let her in. She smiled and walked in, putting a plate with tea on the bedside table. She put the tea in the cup and handed it to encre. "Thank you." He said as he started drinking the tea. "You know that was a brave thing you did, suave told me what happened." "But i've lost my brother. My old life. Everything." "Don't worry, it'll turn out fine in the end." Gazelle smiled at encre. He gave her a small smile in return. "Now I have to go, we still have to make breakfast." Encre nodded and gazelle left. There was a closet in the room. Encre walked up to it and opened it, it was filled with clothes for both males and females. He got out a set of clothing and put it on. It was a little to big for him, but it was good enough. Encre didn't want to get out of his room, not wanting to face fallacy again. He sat down on the bed, thinking about getting some sleep. Sleep wouldn't come and after half an hour there was another knock on the door. "Breakfast is ready, suave called from the other side of the door. Encre took in a breath. "Tell them that I'm not coming." He said. Suave opened the door slightly and peeked inside. "But you must, lord fallacy will gat mad if you don't come." "I'm not hungry." Encre sat up on the bed, bringing his knees up to his chest. Suave nodded. "Not much to do about that. I'll tell lord fallacy that you aren't coming." He left and closed the door again. Fallacy and jasper were already sitting at the table, waiting for encre. Some of the servants where waiting there with them, ready if the lords needed anything. Fallacy growled. "What's taking so long? I told him to come down. Why isn't he here yet?!" "My lord, please calm down." Gazelle spoke, as one of the servants that was waiting there with them. "He has lost his family and freedom all in one day." She was careful not to say the wrong words. "Father why couldn't they stay as the rest of the servants?" Jasper asked. "That's none of your concerns." Fallacy told him. "Father you should at least try to be more kind. This way the spell will never break!" Jasper said and fallacy looked away. "I will never find someone and you know that." "You could try." "I have tried, for years, but nothing I ever do works..." "could you try and make him fell more at home?" Jasper asked. "I don't know how." Fallacy refused to look at anyone in the room. "You can start by being kind, like you were before." Jasper looked down. He had seen that encre was breaking through to fallacy and fallacy didn't even seem to notice what that meant. Both the lords stayed quiet until the door opened, they both looked over to see suave enter. He seemed nervous. "Where is he?" Fallacy asked. "He said that he wasn't hungry." Suave said, trying his best not to seem like he was afraid that fallacy might harm him. Fallacy stood up, trowing back the chair in the process. "What?!" He darted out of the room, past suave and headed for encre's room. Suave let out a soft sigh of relieve and jasper jumped up to follow his father. Gazelle following soon after and pulling suave with her. Fallacy got there first and knocked on the door rather aggressively. "I thought I told you to come down for diner!" He yelled. "I'm not hungry!" Encre responded through the door. Fallacy tried to get in, but encre had locked the door. "You come out or I'll...I'll breack down the door!" "My lord that may not be the best way to get him to eat with you." Gazelle said. "Father please, at least try to be kind." Jasper said. "But he's being so difficult!" Fallacy said, a low growl coming out of him while he spoke. "Please..." Fallacy let out a sigh, jasper was his son and he found it hard to say no to him. He turned to the door. "Will you come down to diner? " He asked. "No!" Was the only responds he got from encre. Fallacy frowned. He was starting to loze his temper. "Suave, gentile." (It's a real thing they say in the movie!) Suave said, trying to keep fallacy calm. Fallacy sighed again, it didn't really help his temper that the three were pushing him. "It would give me great pleasure if you would join me for diner." Fallacy said, you could clearly hear that he was getting anoyed. "We say plase..." Jasper said under his breath. "Please." Fallacy growled softly. "No thank you." Encre said, pushing fallacy over the edge. "You can't stay in there forever!" He yelled. "Yes I can!" Encre sounded as if he was sure, but he wasn't. He was scared to come out of the room. "Fine! Then go ahead and starve!" Fallacy was mad, completely lozing the kindness he was building up. He turned back to suave, gazelle and jasper. "If he doesn't eat with me, than he doesn't eat at all!" And with that fallacy left. The three watched him leave, slamming every door closed behind him. "Oh dear...that didn't go very well..." Gazelle said. "I'll keep watch here and talk to him once he get's out of his room." Gazelle and suave nodded as jasper said that. "Well we might as well go down and start cleaning." Suave and gazelle left to go clean up diner downstairs. Fallacy walked into his room, mumbeling to himself. "I try to be nice, but he refuses." He closed the door behind him and walked up to his balcony. "What does he want me to do? Beg?!" Fallacy grabbed the mirror the wizard gave his family line long ago. "Show me the boy!" The mirror did as it was told and encre showed up in the reflection. Jasper was sitting next to him on the bed, they were talking to each other. Encre was hugging his knees. "But father is really not so bad once you get to know him." Jasper said in a calm tone, yes, the mirror let their voices be heard as well. "Just give him a chance." "I don't want to get to know him. I don't want anything to do with him." Encre burried his face in his knees and fallacy put away the mirror. He growled softly, something inside him was coming up. He was feeling sorry for encre. "I'm just fooling myself..." He said, in a sad tone. "He'll never see me as anything, but a monster..." Fallacy looked down, knowing he would be stuck in the castle forever. "It's hopeless..." He felt a few tears buid up in his eyes.

~A few hours later~

Encre walked out of his room, it was around midnight and encre was hungry. Jasper had already left so he couldn't ask him if he wanted to bring something from the kitchen. Encre headed around the castle, looking for the kitchen and hoping he wouldn't run into fallacy. Encre walked down the stairs and could hear someone talk. "I can't believe we actually pushed father that far. We should've stopped." "Don't think about it that way, it's already been a long night for everyone." "Well if you asked me he was just being stubborn." The three voices belonged to jasper, suave and gazelle. "After all, lord fallacy was being more kind than he was normally." "But if lord fallacy doesn't learn to control that temper he'll never break th--" Encre had walked in by that time and jasper smiled at him. "Hello encre." Suave, who was cut off by jasper, and gazelle turned to encre. "Hello." Encre smiled back. "I think we never had a good introduction. My name is suave and this is gazelle." Suave told encre, pointing at gazelle when he said her name. Encre nodded. "Nice to meet you." "Is there anything we can do to make your stay here more comfortable?" Gazelle asked. "Well I am a little hungry." Encre said sheepishly. Jasper spoke up before anyone else could. "You are? Let's get him something to eat!" "Lord jasper remember what your father said." Suave and gazelle both didn't want to go against fallacy. "We can't just let him be hungry." Jasper said. Gazelle went with it. "Fine, but something small." "Oh come on gazelle, he's our guest! We must help him feel welcome here." Suave went to help jasper with making food for encre. Jasper left suave to cook for a while. "This way to the dining room." He lead encre to the dining room and encre sat down in one of the chairs. Gazelle followed them. "Just keep it down, if lord fallacy finds out about this i'll be our death." "No promises." Jasper said. Suave had called in some other servants to help with the meal. Most servants were excited to help serve for the new guest, gazelle seemed to be the only one against it. After a while suave walked out of the kitchen. "The food is ready." He said. Some other servants walked in, humming a happy tune. Jasper gave suave a small nod as to give him promission to do something. Suave turned for humming to singing. (I had to, I didn't want to leave the song out >~< I love making songfictions)

Be our guest
Be our guest
Put our service to the test
Tie your napkin 'round your neck, cherie
And we provide the rest

More servants came out of the kitchen, holding different types of food. It smelled delicious.

Soup du jour
Hot hors d'oeuvres
Why, we only live to serve
Try the grey stuff, it's delicious

They servants came past encre, putting the food on the table. Encre tried to get a taste of everything as the servants passed by.

Don't believe me? Ask the dishes
They can sing
They can dance
After all, Miss, this is France
And a dinner here is never second best
Go on, unfold your menu
Take a glance and then you'll
Be our guest
Oui, our guest
Be our guest

Suave passed some of the food to encre, who happily took a bite of all of it.

Beef ragout
Cheese souffle
Pie and pudding "en flambe"

Suave had put a flame to the pudding, lighting up the room. It died down soon after, leaving to room dark again. Encre was amazed by how good they were at what they're doing.

We'll prepare and serve with flair
A culinary cabaret
You're alone
And you're scared
But the banquet's all prepared
No one's gloomy or complaining
While the flatware's entertaining

The servants where going around, as if they were dancing in a musical.

We tell jokes
I do tricks
With my fellow candlesticks
And it's all in perfect taste that you can bet
Come on and lift your glass
You've won your own free pass
To be out guest
If you're stressed
It's fine dining we suggest
Be our guest
Be our guest
Be our guest

Most of the servants left and jasper flew up, using a silver tray to reflect the light of the moon to suave. Kinda like a spotlight.

Life is so unnerving
For a servant who's not serving
He's not whole without a soul to wait upon
Ah, those good old days when we were useful
Suddenly those good old days are gone
Ten years we've been rusting
Needing so much more than dusting
Needing exercise, a chance to use our skills
Most days we just lay around the castle
Flabby, fat and lazy
You walked in and oops-a-daisy!

A small human maid walked in and started to go around with dessert and tea. She seemed to be excited like the rest. Jasper came back down and set the tray down again.

It's a guest
It's a guest
Sakes alive, well I'll be blessed
Wine's been poured and thank the Lord
I've had the napkins freshly pressed
With dessert
She'll want tea
And my dear that's fine with me
While the cups do their soft shoeing
I'll be bubbling, I'll be brewing
I'll get warm
Piping hot
Heaven's sakes! Is that a spot?
Clean it up! We want the company impressed
We've got a lot to do
Is it one lump or two
For you, our guest

The rest came back in, dancing around the dining room.

She's our guest
She's our guest
She's our guest
Be our guest
Be our guest
Our command is your request
It's ten years since we had anybody here
And we're obsessed
With your meal
With your ease
Yes, indeed, we aim to please
While the candlelight's still glowing
Let us help you
We'll keep going
Course by course
One by one
'Til you shout, enough, I'm done
Then we'll sing you off to sleep as you digest
Tonight you'll prop your feet up
But for now, let's eat up
Be our guest
Be our guest
Be our guest
Please, be our guest

Everyone except suave, jasper and encre left the dining room. Encre was giving the servants an applause as they left. The dining room was completely cleaned and there wasn't even a crum of food left to be seen. "Bravo! That was wonderful!" Encre said as he got up. Suave bowed. "Thank you." Jasper got a glance at the time, it was just passed midnight. "You must be tired, it's pretty late." He said to encre. "Oh I couldn't possibly go to bed now. It's my first time in a castle, can I look around?"

(Let's see if encre can. Well, this was a longer chapter because I wanted to include the song :3
See ya, Lisa)
