He then stood up and locked eye contact with the angel.

"So will you join?" He asked.

"Mhm."  was his answer.

He left me

Cross returned to the empty void that was his former home, only to find Ink, his friend, being taken away.

. . .

Cross stood still, processing what just happened. When realization kicked in, he couldn't help but fall to the ground with his eyes threatening to cosplay as the waterfalls.

But then. . .

A tear dropped. Then another, then another, until multiple of them dropped.

It was his choice. If that's what he wants, then I'll leave him be.
