(Im going to make Dream the older twin and Nightmare the younger twin, the creator of Dreamswap didnt really tell us Dream's and Nightmare's past so Im making it up. Also, Credit goes to the artist of this cover above)

3rd person's POV:

The curious purple skeleton crept out the house and went to the forest alone. He heard that his brother hid something special but said that they'll will hunt it tommorow.

The purple skeleton went to the forest, the wind whistled through the area, the skeleton's footsteps echoed through the dark and gloomy forest.

Fear began to fill up the purple skeletonas he went deeper and deeper into the woods.

A few moments later, the skeleton found a gate that has tall bushes as fences. The skeleton opened the gate and there revealed a path.

The path infront of him is a fountain, it's water shining with the moon.

Two other paths were seen at the both sides of the fountain, both leading them to something the skeleton wasnt sure about.

"Huh?" The skeleton heard someone, they panicked and squeazed their eyes shut. "No need to be scared. . . !" The voice reassured the skeleton.

The voice belonged to a girl, it was calming and nice.

The skeleton quickly calmed down and opened their eyes.

A girl with flowing H/C hair, E/C eyes that shines beautifully with the moon, and fair skin. The girl noticed the skeleton and backed away in case he was uncomfortable.

The skeleton observed the girl in front of him.

(This is what Y/N is wearing, pretend that her bracelets are the same ones on her head and same with the one in her ankle)

But what made the skeleton surprised is that she was floating mid-air.

"Wh-what are you. . .?" The skeleton hesitantly asked. The girl smiled and giggled as she floats in front of him.

They're faces were inches apart. "Im a fairy." They said. "But, I thought fairies had pointy ears or wings or small!" The skeleton said, not conviced.

The girl closed hee eyes and glowed a bright white and became small, now they have the pointy ears and transparent white wings.

"You believe me now?" The girl sqeaked. The skeleton nodded. "Well, lets get you home now. Im supposed to sent people home if they get lost and ended up here." The little fairy turned big again and held out her hand.

"Im Y/N." The girl replied. The skeleton took her hand and shook it. "I-Im Nightmare." The skeleton shyly said.

The girl giggled and started guiding Nightmare out of the forest and to his house. The girl flew up and opened the window, and quickly signed Nightmare to jump in.

Nightmare nodded and went in. When Nightmare got in, he turned to Y/N and asked. "C-can I see you again?" Nightmarw asked.

Y/N held a surprised look, before softening it to a smile. "I'll pick you up every night then." She turned and disappeared.

It went on like that for a year. . .

Until Dream ate the golden apple and went to try to kill Nightmare. . .

Nightmare ran away, and Y/N was aware what was going on. . .

Centuaries later. . .

"Yo, Nightmare wake up!" Nightmare opened his eyes and saw that he was in the woods with his friends. "The JR is in this forest, we neee to go now!" His friend said.

Nightmare got up and looked around the forest, Nightmare then remembered his friend that he stumblee across when he got lost.

"I know a friend who can help." Nightmare replied. "How can you be so sure that your friend will help you? For all we know your friene might backstab you!" Cross yelled.

"If you dont want to come, you can stay here." Nightmare glared. Cross stayed silent.

"Alright, she should be in that direction." Nightmare said. "A she¿" Error questioned. Nightmare ignored Error and went up to the direction he and Y/N will go to her garden.

When they arrived, Cross and Error looked in awe when they saw a fountain in front of them. Nightmare smiled. 'Nothing changed.'

"Come on."

Nightmare and his friends entered the garden. They walked towards the fountain and stopped.

"Teehehe!~"

A female figure was seen behind Nightmare, which Nightmare didnt notice, but his friends did.

"Nightmare look out!-"

The female figure covered Nightmare's eye sockets with her hands, a few inches apart from his face.

"Guess who it is!~" The female figure giggled. Nightmare chuckled and removed her hands from his face and turned around.

"Y/N! Its been so long since I last saw you!" Nightmare exclaimed happily. Y/N flew down. Y/N was only an inch shorter than Nightmare. She extends her arms as a sign for Nightmare to hug her, which he did.

They hugged for a few moments before breaking it apart.

"Umm, excuse me? Since when did WE became ghosts?" Cross said as he pointed himself and Error. "Oh, sorry. I just hadnt seen hee for a long time." Nightmare apologized as he scratched his skull.

"Oh, this is Y/N by the way!" Nightmare said
"Its a pleasure to meet you." Y/N said as she floated towards them.
"Um, wh-what are you¿" Error asked.
"A fairy!" Y/N replied.
"But you look nothing like a fairy! They're small, have wings, and possibly pointy ears!" Cross said.

". . ."

"Pft- Hahahaha!" Y/N laughed. Error's and Cross' face were then displayed with confussion.

"Thats the exact same question Nightmare asked when we first met! Though he said it in a cute shy manner!~" Y/N said as she turned to Nightmare. "Isnt that right?~" Y/N asked as she raised her eyebrow.

"Y-Y/N!!" Nightmare yelled in embarassment. "Alright alright little grape!~" Y/N said as she bopped Nightmare's nose(?).

"Im taller than you." Nightmare said. "But when Im floating, Im taller." Y/N giggled.

"Anyways, can you help us?" Nightmare asked. "I heard news that the JR is in the forest." Y/N said.

"Just wait for a moment-"

Y/N grabbed 3 white flowers from her flower crown and gave each one for them. "Hold that tight and go to the fountain, Nightmare had done this a few times in the past." Y/N said.

Error and Cross were confused, but didnt questioned it as they enter the fountain which was active and flowing water.

Error and Cross disappeared behind the fountain, and Nightmare followed.

Y/N was waiting for someone, she can feel their aura coming to her garden.
Y/N became small and now looked like the fairies from the stories.

Dream and his righthand man, Ink then stumbled to her garden. "What are you doing here?" Y/N asked. Dream and Ink got startled but calmed down.

"Were looking for the 'meme squad'." Dream said. "Oh, they were here." Y/N said. "Where did they go?" Dream asked.

Y/N pointed at the right path "Im pretty sure they went there. Even their leader said 'right is the right way'." Y/N shrugged.

"Thank you for your assistance." Dream said as he went to the path Y/N was pointing. "No problem, Lord Dream."
Y/N smiled.

Once they're out of sight, Y/N turned into her human form and went inside the fountain.

"Hello!~" Y/N chriped.

They were at a meadow, the sky was the same setting as outside. "Oh stars, you scared me half to death when you said that we came here." Nightmare said.

"Its pretty obvious that Dream sensed your aura in the garden." Y/N sais as she sat next to Nightmare.

Nightmare felt his heart racing, but ignored it since it might be his intense panic to what happened a few moments ago.

The entrance that they came in was a waterfall, and a flowing river going to the path of a nearby wooden house.

"This place is amazing." Cross said as he got up and looked around "was it always like this¿" Error asked. "This landscape is just an image I made from my imagination, guardian thing." Y/N said as she got up.

"Just follow that river and you'll be at my house." Y/N said. Error and Cross nodded as they follow the river.

Y/N turned to Nightmare. "So, how long are you going to stay here?" Y/N asked. "I guess a week, just to be safe." Nightmare said.

"Anyways, did you brought your violen?" Y/N asked with excitement. Nightmare chuckled and pulled out his violen. "I always had it with me." Nightmare said as he played the violen.

A few days later. . .

Nightmare was playing the violen to
Y/N under the tree beside Y/N's house. And next to the tree is a pond that the river stopped.

Once Nightmare finished playing, Y/N clapped. "I always wondered how you can play the violen that easily." Y/N said. "practice, what you wanna play with it?" Nightmare asked. "Eh, I'll just be bad at it." Y/N replied.

"You'll never know until you try." Nightmare said as he got up and pulled Y/N up.

"Hmph, fine." Y/N said.

A few moments later. . .

"Like this?" Y/N asked. "Yeah, hold it like that." Nightmare said as he adjusted it from her back (not the dirty way you pervy people!)

"And then-"

Cross and Error then appeared next to Nightmare and Y/N with a microphone.

"Ccccannn yoouu ffffeeeelll thee loovvvee tooonnighht!?" They sang.

"C-Cross! E-Error!" Nightmare yelled as he blushed a purple hue. Y/N looked down and was all red.

"OoooOoo! Nightmare didnt chased us? What? You like hugging Y/N from behindddd?!" Cross yelled. "Sh-shut up!" Nightmare yelled as he carefully let go of Y/N.

"Oo, did ya see that? He let her go, slowly!" Cross laughed. "Come back here!" Nightmare yelled as he chased Cross and Error with his staff.

Y/N feel down to her knees and was screaming on the inside.

A few days later. . .

Nightmare and Y/N were awkward to each other whenever they're near yesterday, but they're now comfortable with each other again.

Later at night. . .

Y/N was sitting under the tree with her Nightgown, which had sleeves and was making flowercrowns

Y/N wasnt wearing her flowercrown.

"Why are you up so late?" Nightmare yawned as he walked towards Y/N and sat beside her.

"I couldnt reallt sleep, anyways, want to help me make flower crowns?" Y/N asked. "Sure, but Im not very good at it." Nightmare admitted. Y/N smiled at Nightmare.

"I can teach you!" Y/N replied.

A few moments later. . .

"Just do it like- that!" Y/N said as she showed Nightmare. "Now try to copy!" Y/N said. Nightmare did what he was told and made the flowercrown.

"Its good! Your a fast leaner Night- h-huh?" Y/N stuttered.

Nightmare puts his flowercrown on
Y/N's head. Nightmare looks away while blushing.

"Is there something you want to tell me?" Y/N asked. ". . ."

Nightmare hesitated but quickly kissed Y/N and pulled back immediatly. "I-I like you. . ." Nightmare muttered as he looked at the ground.

Y/N sat there, speechless. Y/N then cracked a smile and hugged Nightmare. "I do too." Y/N said as she yawned.

Nightmare smiled as he cuddled with
Y/N, the moonlight shined under them.

The two sat there before slowly drifting to sleep while they cuddle eachother.
