3rd person's POV:

A teenage girl softly glared at the scientist as he took a sample of her blood. As the scientist was about to leave the room, he turned to the teen.

"Dont do anything stupid." The scientist spat. The girl only nodded in response. The scientist turned and left the room, leaving the girl alone.

Y/N's POV:

The sciencetist left the room. I glared at the spot where he took a sample of my blood. "He didnt even bother to bandaged it." I sighed as I tear a piece of my clothes and wrapped it around the spot.

I thought of a way to escape. I tried 3 times this year. I couldnt escape unless this stupid shock collar is removed. If I do escape, The scientist will just turn on the shock collar until I come crawling back and faint.

I then came up with an idea. A crazy one. I sigh and held out my arms. A red sword then started to fade in to my hand.

This 'weapon' is one of the reasons why Im here. It had its pros and cons, but right now, Im just going to go according to the plan I thought awhile ago.

Cut the shock collar with my sword.

There will be a big chance that It'll leave a big wound in my neck and I'll probably bleed to death.

But, it dosent really matter now.

I put the sword up agaisnt the shock collar and striked it. I heard something fell to the floor. I looked down to see the shock collar, that had been recently cut thanks to my sword.

However, my right cheek began to bleed. My sword also cutted it! Great! I have to be thankful that its just a little scratch.

I stood up and went up to the door, which was locked. I stepped back, and aimed my sword at the door. It left a long, thick line.

I squeezed through the hole, and made my way to the exit, with caution. I held my sword tightly in my hand as I hid behind a pillar.

From what I learned in one of the attempts to escape, the lab is under a fricking mansion, making it hard for the other experiments to escape.

I creeped through the hallways of the cold lab, my feet freezing from the cold night. Currently, its midnight. I found a flight of staircase, bad news is. . .there are guards at the bottom and I assume there will be more at the end of the staircase as well.

I motioned my sword at one of the guards, and aimed it at there chest.

I know it sounds brutal, but, I need to escape this hell hole. The other guard panicked as he saw the other get stabbed in the chest by a red, transparent sword.

"Experiment 2514 had escaped! I repeat, Experiment 2514-"

I covered his mouth and stabbed him. "Im sorry." I muttered. I heard footsteps marching down through the stairs.

'Crap! They heard it!' I panicked.

I slayed and hurt a few of them. Most of them kept chasing me as I made my progress up the stairs.

I made it to the mansion and aimed my sword behind me. From the corner of my eye, I saw one of the guard aiming their gun at me.

I summoned my sheild in time. But it was too late when one of the guards that chased me stabbed me in the hip.

I screamed in pain as I quickly aim the sword at him.

I ran as fast as possible towards the entrance, having to hold onto my wound and slip a few times from the slippery, marble floor.

I pushed the doors outside and ran as my legs can carry me.

I leaned into a tree as I try to grasp for breath. Everything was getting blury.

"M-miss?! A-are you alright?!"

Those were the last words I hears before I passed out.

-------------------------------------------------------

I fluttered my eyes open and saw that I was in a room, sleeping on a couch. 'D-did . . . Did I get caught?' I thought. I looked around the room to see if it was familiar.

"Hey, y-your awake!"

It was the same voice I heard before I passed out. I looked around and saw them at the bottom staircase.

. . .

". . . Err, th-thank you. I'll be on my w-way n- Eeep!" My sentence was cut off by the sudden pain at my hip. How could I forget? I was stabbed there.

"Miss!" The skeleton panicked as he rushed to my aid. "You humans cant heal that quickly now! You have to rest!" He said.

"Ack!" I hissed out in pain. "There, there. Take it eas-easy." He said. I sighed and calmed down.

". . ."

"Oh. . . I havent really introduced myself, di-didnt I? I-Im Gradient." 'Gradient' said. I hesitated, but gave in. He helped me out so I'll have to introduced myself.

". . . I-Im Y/N, th-thanks for helping me back there. . . Gradient." I said. Gradient shyly looked at me before replying.

"Y-your welcome, Y/N."

We locked eyes for a moment. "How many days will my wound he-heal?" I asked as I looked at the wound.

"Eh? Oh, I think a few days or a week." Gradient answered. "And, I'll be there to help you." Gradient said. "Wha? I-I can do it myself!" I nervously laughed.

"Sure. You'll just make your wound worse." Gradient said. ". . . Ok fine you win."

-----------------------------------------------------

You and Gradient had become close friends as days went by. A week later,
Y/N can walk but still needs help going around the house.

Y/N had warmed up to Gradient and Gradient had warmed up to Y/N. They tell each other stories, jokes and sometimes their secrets to one another.

Though, Y/N isnt really ready to talk about her life to Gradient, in fear that he'll turn her in. . . Like her parents did.

"Err. . . Hello? Earth to Y/N. . . ?!" Y/N jumped in surprise. "Do-dont scare me like that!" Y/N scolded. "You werent replying to me for like 3 minutes now." Gradient said.

"Oh. . ." Y/N said. "Is there something bothering you?" Gradient asked as he sit beside Y/N, ready to comfort her.

"Ehhhh. . ." Y/N hesitated.

"Come on, were friends arent we?" Gradient asked.

Y/N took a deep breath. "Fiinnee! Just. . . Dont stab me in the back." Y/N said as she looked away, while making her index fingers bump into each other.

"Err. . . Yo-you wanna know why I was in the forest?" Y/N asked. "Well, by the looks of it. You look like you were being chasef or something like that." Gradient said.

". . . I-Im an experiment."

Gradient's POV:

". . . I-Im an experiment." Y/N said, she looked away, avoiding eye contact.

"Y/N-"

"Y-your not gonna turn me i-in. . . Right?" Y/N asked, her voice sounds like shes going to cry. "What? Of course not! Y-Y/N."

I already heard silent sobs from Y/N. I hesitated but hugged her around the shoulders. "What makes you think I'll stab you in the back and turn you in?" I asked.

Y/N wiped away the tears from her eyes. ". . . Be-because my parents. . . Sold me to them. . . So-so they can have mo-money." Y/N said.

I hugged Y/N tighter and tried to comfort her as much as I can.

----------------------------------------------------------

Author's POV:

A few weeks had passed by since Y/N told her situation to Gradient. Gradient and Y/N had became closer than ever. Y/N got a weird feeling in her stomach whenever Gradient laughs, but Y/N shrugged it off.

A month had passed by and Gradient thinks its time for Y/N to try going out the house since she had been fully healed. Y/N dosent really want to go since. . . She had an intense fear of being judged by people.

"Come on, Y/N! You cant just stay here in the house forever!" Gradient scolded. "Shut up Gradient! I dont want to leave!" Y/N whined.

------------------------------------------------------

3 months had passed. . .

Y/N had gotten used of going outside and she currently at the store with Gradient.

"What are we getting?" Gradient impatiently asked. ". . . Eggs, milk, flour and other things for baking." Y/N said as she turned to Gradient.

"Alright." Gradient shrugged.
"I can do this myself." Y/N insisted.
"Seeing that this is your FIRST time going to the store, Im just going to make sure nothing happpens." Gradient said.

"Fiiinnne! Lead the way, store expert!" Y/N said as she pointed at Gradient. "Hey, stop with the nicknames!" Gradient said. "Why?" Y/N giggled. Gradient's cheeks warmed up but quickly went away as Gradient sigh in defeat.

"You know what? Lets just go." Gradient said as he walked towards the supplies that they need, Y/N followed Gradient as she held onto her hoodie.

---------------------------------------------------------

"Were almost done Y/N! We just need to pay for these- uhh. . . What are you doing?" Gradient asked. Y/N turned to Gradient with a big smile on her face.

"Can we get these?" Y/N asked. "Hm? What- oh. . ." Gradient then looked at what Y/N was holding.

". . . A flower seed?" Gradient asked as he tilted his head. "I dunno! It just looks fun! Growing it will be fun!" Y/N said as she waves both her arms in the air.

"We dont even have the tools to garden the flower-" Gradient's sentence was cut off, Y/N grabbed Gradient's hand and started to walk in the Gardening section.

"Then we'll buy it!" Y/N said. "Eh- eh?! Y/N, s-slow down. . . !" Gradient stuttered.

Gradient felt his face getting warmer and warmer. Gradient hid his face with his hoodie as he try to get Y/N realize that shes holding his hand.

As Y/N and Gradient made it to the Gardening section, Y/N looked at Gradient and saw that he was blushing very hard. "Eh? Gradient? Whats wrong?" Y/N asked in a worried tone.

"Y-your holding my. . . Hand, ca-can you please let go. . . ?" Gradient nervously replied. Y/N was confused and looked down.

Sudden realization hit her like she was slapped as she quickly let go of Gradient's hand and apologizes over and over again.

"E-er. . . It-its alright, Y/N. . . Lets just get the supplies." Gradient said. Y/N nodded in agreement as they walked towards the things they need.

------------------------------------------------------

"Were finally home!~" Y/N cheered in relief as she and Gradient exit the portal. "Time to grow this seed!~" Y/N said proudly as she held out the flower seed.

"Lets just plant the flower after we put these down first." Gradient sighed. "Alright." Y/N said as she grabbed the plastic bags filled with snacks, and baking items in the kitchen.

"Lets plant the flower now!" Y/N cheered.

--------------------------------------------------------

After Y/N and Gradient planted the flower, they changed their clothes to comfortable ones and decided to have a little sleepover at the couch.

"Lets tell each other scary stories! Come on!" Y/N suggested.

After a round of scary stories, jokes and puns. They decided to do a bet to see who gets scared first.

"I bet you'll scream like a girl!" Y/N laughs. "Oh, really?" Gradient laughs as he picked out a movie. "Yeah really!"

-------------------------------------------------------

It was almost midnight. Y/N and Gradient watched a few scary movies and at the process of that, Y/N got tired and sleepy.

Y/N could feel her eyes getting heavy and heavy. All that Y/N had in mind is to sleep. So, Y/N leaned in of what she thought was a pillow, a slept.

Gradient's POV:

Its already almost midnight, and me and Y/N hadnt even slept yet. I then felt something soft at my shoulder and looked to see Y/N fast asleep.

I was about to wake her up, but she looked so peaceful. I sighed and turn off the TV and sat at the couch in the pitch black room.

I then felt myself getting tired and I drifted to sleep.

--------------------------------------------------------

Y/N's POV:

I woke up at something comfortable, it was soft. I sat there in the couch and stared at the ground for a couple of minutes.

My eyes then drifted to the TV. The reflection it shows was me and Gradient and the surroundings.

I blinked a few times before I realized that I was sleeping on Gradient's shoulder.

I blushed and looked away from the TV. I suddenly got thristy and I slowly got up and went to the kitchen to get some water.

I looked at the clock, 7:00 am. I drank the glass of water I was holding and thought about Gradient for a moment.

I then saw Gradient sitting up. My mind then suddenly got occupied of the flower me and Gradient grew and went to Gradient.

"Oi, wanna see the flower we grew?" I asked. "I wanna sleepp. . ." Gradient whined. "Hmph fine." I said as I reached out to the door to the backyard.

-------------------------------------------------------

Author's POV:

2 months had passed by. . .

"Hmm~" Y/N hummed as she water the flowers. (If you read one of my previous books, this will sound familiar to you)

"Hows the flower?" Gradient asked. "Better-" Y/N paused. "Better than your eye sight." Y/N chuckles. "Rude." Gradient said. "He he, sorry." Y/N apologized.

Y/N puts the watering can down and stood there for a moment, thinking what to do next.

What Y/N's mind served is to hug Gradient. Y/N blushed at the words that she thought. Y/N turns to Gradient and went up to him.

And hugged him.

"E-eh?! Y-Y/N?!" Gradient panicked. "Hm, you suddenly got comfy." Y/N said. "Um, why are you hugging me?" Gradient asked, secretly enjoying it.

"Just a urge." Y/N smiled. "You know, I've been meaning to ask you. . ." Y/N said.

"Hm?" Gradient asked. ". . . I-I like you." Y/N muttered, Y/N barely heard her words, but somehow, Gradient heard them.

"Y-Y/N. . . I-I. . . Also like you." Gradient said. "So. . . Were a couple now?" Y/N asked. "I-I guess so." Gradient said.

"Comfy~" Y/N said. Gradient hugged her back.
