You look back over at Toriel and can't help but regret your last thoughts. Maybe you should at least stay for pie before making such rash decisions. You nod absentmindedly starting to tap rhythmically on the table. Toriel noticed the taping and looked over at you with a smile. You snap out of your little daze and stop tapping. You look at Toriel sheepishly. She just brushed it off as nothing, however, as she started to read a book on her lap. You get curious about what she is reading and get up, sitting on the floor in front of her. You look up at her and ask her what she was reading.

"I am reading a fantastic story about these two wizards." She smiled, "Would you like to hear my child?"

You nod to her enthusiastically. You guys could read a book together while waiting for the pie. The wait sure was short though, since you and Toriel got so entranced by the book.

"Oh, the pie! We better eat it before it gets cold." She suddenly exclaimed, putting the book down, "We can read more another time my child. For now, we can enjoy some pie."

You nod at her and get up from the floor. Your bottom slightly hurt from sitting on the hard floor but you didn't care anyway. (I got uncomfortable to say butt for some reason. .///. idk.) You sat at the table with Toriel and watched as she cut you a slice. It was a perfect size, the exact amount you wanted. You smile happily and start to eat the pie. It was good. It was really good. You look up at her surprised as she slowly ate her piece.

"hmmm... I feel like it is missing something. I don't like it." Toriel said lowly, but yet was still eating her slice.

You give her an 'are you kidding me woman?!' face and shake your head. You are quick to say it is one of the most amazing things you've ever tasted. Her face brightened at that and she laughed a little.

"If you say so, my child." She says, before finishing her plate.

You look down to take another bite but see nothing there. Apparently, you had finished your plate too. Toriel grabbed your plate and got up.

"I am going to put these away now. Then I will get our book ready for more reading before bed." She smiled down at you.

You felt completely comfortable in your chair until you realized something. You had to make a choice. You watched as Toriel sat back down to her seat, trying to find the page you two were on. It was now or never....
