FRISK

Frisk stared at the huge double doors blocking her path. She checked the small map that came with her books and scanned the whole thing. Yup, this is the gym.

Frisk took a deep breath. She doesn't know wether she is doing a good job fitting in. If only Chara's here now, she'd probably be telling her to be herself. Or probably tell her to ignore the stares and whispers she keeps getting. After supplying herself with enough strength and determination, she pushed the double doors with all her might. But the doors are just so huge she can't even swing it open. She tried different strokes to just open the door, but it's still not open. Frisk pouted and kicked the door. Still not open. Suddenly, the skeleton from her last class, Sans headed towards the door and eyed her carefully. He shrugged and pushed the door.

The door opened and he gave Frisk an 'I told you so' look then he entered the gym. Frisk felt dumbfounded but before the door could swing back closed, she headed straight towards the gym and the door slammed shut behind her.

Frisk found herself in a room of monsters running around the gym. Others were just slouching on the benches while others were playing with basketballs that are placed in the racks before. She snapped out of her thoughts when a basketball started hurling towards her. She dodged the basketball and instead passed by her. Frisk sighed in relief and turned to look at everyone, who is now staring at Frisk with wide eyes. Frisk thought that they are probably surprised at her dodging skills and she shrugged like it was nothing. She gave them a goofy smile which they didn't return. The blue rabbit from earlier pointed at what is behind Frisk. Frisk tilted her head in confusion and ended up face to face with a snarling dog.

SANS

Geez, that kid's having a hard time fitting in, Sans thought. He knew how it felt before, which is why he asked his dad for a FRESH HEAD START. Being called a nerd just because your dad's the science teacher is just plain stupid. Luckily, he knew how to fight back over the years. Sans watched as the dog snarled at the poor girl, who is now shivering in fear. "Who...threw... THAT?!?" The dog asked. He scanned the whole gym and pointed at a huge dog wearing the school jacket and jeans. "GREATER DOG! DID YOU DO THIS?!?" He asked. The dog shook it's head. He pointed to a dog with a very long neck, whose neck is now shrinked back to it's normal position. "LESSER?!?" He asked. The dog shook it's head. "ANYONE?!?" The dog shouted. The poor girl winced because the dog yelled just right beside her. Suddenly a cat paw was raised overhead, and everyone stared at BurgerPants, the orange cat guy from earlier. "I did it." He said. The dog raised an eyebrow and gave him a snarl. "I'll talk to you later, PUNK." He said. Burgerpants muttered something too soft for him to hear but Sans knew what he said isn't good.

"Anyways. LINE UP ACCORDING TO HEIGHT! GIRLS IN THE RIGHT BOYS IN THE LEFT!" He yelled. Everyone started lining up and looking at each other's height. After a few seconds everyone is now lined up according to their height.

"Good." The dog nodded. "Anyways. I'm Coach Doggo. I'll be your PE teacher for the rest of the school year. AND I DON'T HAVE ANY ROOM FOR MISTAKES!" The dog yelled. "ANYONE who disobeys me and my rules will have DETENTION! Understood?" He shouted. Everyone nodded, including Sans. "Good. That's the spirit." He said. "Today we will be using the balls you played with for a good reason." He said, eyeing all of the balls scattered on the gym floor. Sans looked at them and raised his hand. "...YES..?" Doggo asked. "How are you supposed to sort all those balls back together?" Sans asked. "Easy. I'll put HIM on the job. BURGERPANTS." He shouted. The cat cursed softly and picked up all the balls. He placed them neatly on the racks and wheeled it over to Coach Doggo. "At least you learned something other than horse-playing." Coach Doggo muttered, loud for everyone to hear. "Alright class! Today we will be doing something DIFFERENT." He said. He picked up a ball and began tossing it playfully in the air. "Today, we'll be playing..." He catched the ball and held it with both of his hands. "DODGEBALL." He said.

(NOW PLAY THE MUSIC)

Dodgeball? Cool, Sans thought. This is his time to finally show himself to the whole school. He'll finally be known as a different person! Not Sans Gaster anymore. He smiled at the thought. "NOW YOU ALL KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! SCATTER!" He shouted. Everyone started scattering and looking for their places. Sans walked casually towards the girl and gave her a glance. "Hey, kiddo." He said. The girl looked up at him, sweating in fear. "Don't SWEAT it, 'kay?" Sans said. The girl figured out the pun and started giggling at his small humor.

Doggo snapped his fingers and soon, about 5 dogs emerged from the benches and started grabbing the racks. They took a ball from the rack each and looked for where to aim. "On my signal!" Doggo said. Sans stared at the dog who seems to be aiming at him. "1....." Doggo held his whistle in front of his snout. "2..." He raised his paw... Sans is now sweating at how suspense this is gonna get. "3...." Doggo blew his whistle.

"DODGE!!!" He yelled. Soon the dogs started throwing immensly at the students. A few are already out and their are only about 18 students left in the game. Sans dodged the hurling ball that is heading towards him. Then dodged the other. He took one glance at the girl from one corner of his sockets and spotted her dodging each ball swiftly. This kid's a pro at it too, he thought. "TORIEL, OUT!" Doggo yelled. Toriel headed towards the benches, rubbing her arm to sooth the pain. Sans felt bad for her but he has to keep his senses in the game.

He kept dodging each ball, and now only 8 people are left in the game. And the kid is still not out. And so is Sans.

The girls in the benches started cheering and squealing for Asgore, who Sans guessed, has to be the school's most popular boy. He could see Toriel jumping up and down and cheering for his boyfriend. The guys in the other bench cheered for Sans, shouting louder than the girls. Muffet rolled her eyes like she found it annoying.

After minutes of playing, it's finally down to only Frisk and Sans.

"Oh! 2 victors I see?" Doggo said. Everyone started cheering louder while the others started jumping on the benches screaming. Doggo raised his paw, signalling them to stop and they did.

"Alright punks. This is how it's gonna be. The winner gets the score of 100 while the loser gets the score of 95. Got that?" He asked. Sans and Frisk nodded. The dogs took the last balls in the racks and aimed for the two. "On your marks.... Get set.... GO!!!"

Frisk ducked for the hurling ball aiming towards her and hopped over another. She found Sans doing the same thing, and right now she felt a bit nervous because of all the cheers she's getting. Sans seemed to like the cheering though. Infact, it made him more aggresive in the game. Frisk kept an eye on the aiming balls, when suddenly. "SANS YOU'RE OUT!" Doggo yelled. Everyone groaned in defeat.

SANS

Sans knew that if he keeps dodging,
this kid will still win. Why? Because this kid has what his dad calls
'determination'. His dad said that it's barely found in a monster. But this kid is human, like Chara (who he dislikes very much). So Sans did the unthinkable and ran towards the ball aiming for Frisk. The ball hit him hard in the skull and he fell flat on the floor. "SANS YOU'RE OUT!" Doggo yelled. Sans breathed heavily, catching his breathe. Everyone started groaning as if in defeat. He had let everyone down, but it's all worth it. The girl took out her hand and helped Sans stand up. Suddenly, he saw Toriel, Asgore and others race towards him. "BROTHER?!? ARE YOU ALRIGHT?" Papyrus asked. "Yeah, bro. But... I think I feel a bit.... RATTLED." He said. Toriel snorted and began giggling. Asgore gave Sans a look that means he doesn't get it. Papyrus is now yelling, running towards the benches. "SANS I SWEAR TO GOD!" Papyrus yelled. He chuckled and shrugged. "Hey kid? Looks like you got yourself a 100. I'm proud of ya." Sans said, giving Frisk a bro-fist which she returned. "Alright. Frisk you got a 100. Nice job, and Sans?" Doggo called. Sans turned to look at Doggo. "Can I talk to you for a minute?" He asked. Sans nodded, but deep inside he felt nervous about talking with Coach Doggo ALONE. "Class dismissed! BURGERPANTS SIT ON THE BENCHES! I'L TALK TO SANS FIRST!" He shouted. Burgerpants cursed under his breathe and sat on the benches. The others filed out of the room, including Frisk. He gave Frisk a wave which she returned, then she disappeared down the corridor. Coach Doggo turned at Sans again and crossed his arms. "I saw how you dodged those balls, Sans." Doggo said. "Yeah. It's not a big deal though-" "Not a big deal?" Doggo repeated. "Sans only a great player can avoid those balls in one! I had never seen a player that fierce like you!" Doggo replied. Sans shrugged. "Thanks for the compliment, Coach. But really, dodging is pretty much just like breathing to me." Sans said. Coach Doggo nodded slowly. "But why? Why did you let yourself get hit?" Doggo asked. Sans reached for the back of his neck and sighed. "Because. I knew that the kid will still win no matter what I do. Because, I mean... If I keep playing, it'll just go on. So... I decided to give the kid a chance. After all, she's just new here." Sans replied. Coach Doggo stared intently into his eyes and smiled.

"I like your spirit Sans. Say, we're having basketball try-outs this Wednesday. Only 2 days away. I'll be happy to see you there." He said. Sans was surprised at his reply but shrugged it off instead. "Nah. Sorry, Coach. I'll pass." He said. Doggo chuckled. "Alright. But you can still change your mind." He said. "See ya Sans."

Sans waved at him and headed straight for the door. Should he join the try-outs this Wednesday? He'll have to think straight first before answering that.
