Your pov

You looked up at the sky, admiring it's dark colors. You especially admired the big, blood red moon. It sets the Halloween spirit. Yes, it is Halloween. Children were running about with their costumes and buckets that are ready to be filled with candy. Mmmm.... Candddyyyyy.... You can't wait to unwrap it's wrapper and pop it into your mouth as the sweetness, maybe even sourness, saltiness or bitterness, goes to your taste buds and satisfy your hunger. Your teeth were really eager to chew on it and bite it and- You shook your head as you stopped daydreaming and drooling about candy. You walked off, not really knowing where. You just wanted some sweet, sweet candy! Sigh, there you were again, going back to candy land. Hey, don't blame me! Candy is delicious especially chocolate! Mmmmm..... Anyways! You looked up when a droplet of water landed on your nose. You ran to the nearest shelter, which was a cave at Mt. Ebbot. Come on! Way to ruin Halloween. You huffed. Man! There was actually a storm. You should really pay more attention to the news. You just noticed that you actually hiked Mt. Ebbot. Oh shoot. You remembered the tale they used to tell children as a shiver went up your spine. You didn't want to disappear! What if you die? What if... What if...

What if there's no candy down Mt. Ebbot? Nooooo! You were about to go but the land under you cracked and collapsed. You screamed as it echoed through the walls of the mountain.

*Then the clock struck 12

You landed on a patch of dull flowers. You stood up. How were you even alive? Well, I guess you got lucky. The only injured thing was your arm which was bleeding as of now. You ripped some cloth from your shirt and made a makeshift sling to hold it and also makeshift bandages. Good thing was that it wasn't your dominant hand. You looked up at the hole you fell from. It was merely even a dot but yet you can still see the big, red moon. You looked around. There seems to be some dull colored, broken pillars all around. There was also a hallway leading to some sort of arch way. You walked towards the hallway, having no other choice. You rushed through the arch way, afraid that it may collapse due to it's age. You saw a small patch of grass in the middle of the dark room. It is the only things that has light shining over it. On that patch is a flower. It was the same as the ones that you landed on but it was bigger and it's petals look a little bit burnt. You were about to walk past it when it suddenly turned around. You held back a scream. It had an eye! ONE.FRICKING.EYE!!!! It could have been better if it had a face but nope! It only had a single eye! It looked at you. "Don't get too close..." It muttered/hissed out. "Too close to what?" You asked but it already sunk to the ground. You were a bit terrified. Sure, that was your objective this Halloween but not in a situation like this! You continued forwards to a purple room. It looked like some sort of ruins. At the bottom were buttons and a lever was at the wall in front of them. There was also a sign at your left and a huge set of doors on the front. You went over and tried to read what the sign said but it was covered in dust and it was crumbled to pieces so it was basically unreadable. You tried to push the doors open but it was practically glued shut. I guess you have to solve the puzzle but, how?! You don't have any sort of hints! Wait... You looked at the crumbled sign. You, with your uninjured hand, took out one of the rocks from the sign and threw it at one of the buttons, which was at the middle. You jumped, surprised as the button quite literally broke and fell in the seemingly endless abyss below it. You threw another rock at the other one and the other until you found out the combination. You flicked the lever as the door opened as you went in. It was another room with levers and spikes in front of bridges. The bridges had some dirty rivers at the bottom. Yep, I guess this place is full of puzzles.... Great....

After some treacherous puzzles,monsters and a blood-driven toriel...

You tried to catch your breath as you escaped the monsters and toriel from the ruins. Geez, they were really out of control! The ruins door were tied with vines. It was constantly getting banged, most likely toriel trying to get out. Sweat poured from your forehead. You almost died out there and your broken arm wasn't helping either! It hurts like heck and it was the reason why they were so blood thirsty because it's bleeding right now! You looked at the snowy biome in front of you, already shivering. The trees of this biome were tall and slender. The snow was high and reached your ankles. You shivered and ran, trying to find a source of heat. You then came across a tall, lanky skeleton. When you say tall, you meant TALL. He might as well be 9 feet. You have to crane your neck all the way up only to see his ribcage. You tapped his long legs and jumped a good feet away from him as he swooped down, revealing a plate of spaghetti on his hands. The spaghetti looks... Indescribable... It looks at you with it's red, jagged teeth. You didn't know if thats blood, ketchup or spaghetti sauce but whatever. It's small, beady dots for eyes looked at you. "HUMAN! YOU ARE SKIN AND BONES! I INSIST THAT YOU TRY SOME OF MY SPAGHETTI!" He, judging by his voice, was very, VERY loud. Even though his appearance is very terrifying, you can see a small bit of innocence shine through his void like eyes. You then remembered the flower's warning. 'Dont get too close.' You thought for a moment. Then you looked at the skeleton. He doesn't seem too harmful so you just nodded. You were scared but felt sympathy for the skeleton. He gave you the bowl as you put it on the ground, due to the lack of hands, twirled the fork with your uninjured arm and ate. You didn't really like the taste but you can't resist his, somehow, cute puppy dog eyes staring at you. You shut your eyes and just ate. He looked at you, surprised. "WOWIE! NOBODY HAS EATEN THAT MUCH BEFORE!" he leans closer. "SO, HOW DOES IT TASTE?!?!?!?!?!?!?" he asked, well, more like shouted. You opened your eyes and managed to show him a smile. You gave him a thumbs up. He leaned away and smiled. "GOOD! EAT UP SOME MORE SO WE CAN DO SOME MORE ACTIVITIES!" (I forgot his line here ;-;) you ate some more and froze. You pulled a thin line from your mouth. It was hair and it is definitely not yours. You looked at it in shock. You gave the plate back to him. "I-i think I had enough..." You murmured, still shocked. "GREAT! NOW THAT YOUR PLEASANTLY PLUMP, WE CAN CONTINUE WITH OUR ADVENTURE! FOLLOW ME, TINY HUMAN!" He walked away. You wanted to just go to the path he blocked before but he shouted. You were shocked that you can still hear it though. With no other choice, you followed him. Soon enough, you saw some kind of stand and a skeleton was sleeping. He had a crack on the left part of his skull. He was wearing a faded blue jacket that had a few red splotches. You stood there, scared. He might wake up! You tried to go back but Papyrus' voice was heard. "NOT THAT WAY! THIS WAY!" this woke up the other skeleton. You stared at him, scared. His void like eyes stared at you. The only light you can see in them is the huge, red pupil. It reminds you of the big, beautiful moon you saw earlier. You stared at the eye, mesmerized. The skeleton looked at you, confused. "hey bucko, stop starin' at me will ya?" His voice snapped you out of your trance. You felt your cheeks heat up in embarrassment. "S-sorry..." You looked away. You heard a chuckle. "it's alright. so, your going to my bro, eh?" You nodded. His grin stretched. "alright but, just a little.... HEADS up." He pulled out a severed head from the small stand and laughed as you stepped away from him in fear. You didn't want to turn into that too! His chuckles slowly subsided as well as his pupil, making you shiver in fear. "don't hurt him or else..." He made the head more apparent to you, not even bother to finish his sentence. You nodded, petrified. His eye went back. "good." He then just stood there, his pupil focused on you. You were really scared but you passed in front of the stand. You tried to calm your heartbeat and went to the next area but almost had a heart attack when you saw the skeleton again, leaning on some trees. How the heck? You shook your head and focused your attention on the other, tall skeleton in front of you, seemingly drawing some puzzles in the snow. "AH! HUMAN!" he looked at you. "WELL, THIS IS EMBARASSING BUT YOU HAVE ARRIVED EARLIER THAN I EXPECTED SO, I DO NOT HAVE SOME PUZZLES PREPARED! WORRY NOT FOR MY BROTHER, SANS, WILL KEEP YOU COMPANY!" You looked at 'sans' as his grin faltered. "ASK HIM ANY QUESTION AND HE'LL ANSWER IT!" sans decided to protest. "nah. i don't wanna." The other skeleton glared. "OH COME ON BROTHER! SHOW HER YOUR SUNNY SIDE!" he grumbled but he didn't say anything. "ASK AWAY HUMAN!" you went towards sans, not wanting to protest. He gladed at you. "look, i'll only do this for my bro. don't try any funny business with me or i'll cut you to shreds, capiche?" You nodded. He smiled. "so, what's up?" You tried to think of a question through all the fear you are feeling. Before you can though, he spoke up. "hey, not to be rude but what the h*ll happened to your arm?" He eyes your arm and looked like he was trying to hold something back. You whimpered softly and silently. "W-well, when I fell, I guess the impact was hard on my arm. You already know what happens." He eyes your shirt and cast that is noticeably made of the cloth on your shirt. "so that's why your shirt looks like it has been eaten by an animal." You chuckled. "Well, that's part of the reason." "and let me guess, you got attacked by the other monsters in the ruins?" You nodded. He smirked. "well, becareful bucko. food is a rare thing down here and we will do anything to get some, even if we have to turn into cannibals." He showed his fangs and his eye turned into a slit. He was especially eyeing your bloodied arm. You shivered. "and we also LOVE blood." He then pinned you to nearby tree. You were shaking, scared. His eye shone bright and it was looking as bloody as ever. His shadow looked over you, making him look threatening. "S-sans....?" You whimpered. That seems to get his attention as his eye went back to normal. He looked at you. "ah s***... sorry bucko. got outta control for a sec there. ya should really replace those 'bandages'. they don't seem ta stop the bleedin' that much." He said. He got off you and went back to his position from earlier. Your cheeks went a bit red. How can he act so chill about that?! You calmed yourself as the blush faded. You then decided to finally ask your question. "What happened?" Sans looked at you questioningly while scratching the inside of the crack on his skull."be a bit more specific than that bucko. i ain't a mind reader." You tried to find the right words. "What happened? You know, like, how did this place turn out like this? Why did it turn like this? Please start from the very beginning." You said, very interested. He sighed. It seems like he recalled a bad memory. You were about to take the question back but then he spoke. "well, it all started when we were trapped down here by the humans after the war. 7 of their greatest magicians created a barrier to keep us down here. we tried to adapt to our new territory. we did but most of us still missed the surface. then, a human fell. they were found by the prince. they were inseparable but one night, they died. that's a story for another day. when they died, the king was mad and made a rule to kill every human that fell. they will collect the souls and use them to break the barrier since it will require 7 souls to break it. the queen didn't like that rule so she left to try and protect the humans. soon, 6 humans fell and they were killed." You winced, trying to not imagine their deaths. " we're so close to freedom but then, a certain human fell. they.... they went through the underground and to the castle. they fought our king and took his soul to cross the barrier-" "Wait!" You said. "If the barrier can be crossed with one monster and human soul, then why didn't the king crossed when he had one and just killed some humans in the surface?" He was about to speak but no words came out. He wondered for a bit. "i don't know... none of us do..." He then shook his head. "anyways, what I was about to say that the human crossed the barrier. strangely enough, the other human souls disappeared with them. the human left us here to rot. they left us here with no hope. they left their 'friends' behind just for their selfish reason to get back to the surface. the monsters fell into despair. without anybody to rule, things turned quite chaotic. then, queen und***, once the head of the royal guard, decided to rule. she just made the place more violent and she tortured us all. she's the one who cracked my skull." He pointed to the massive hole on the left side of his skull. You gasped. Well that wasn't nice. "Why though?" He shrugged. "meh. that's a story for another day." You huffed and pouted which he chuckled at. "moving on, she's an overall bad queen. she turned selfish and insane. i mean, can't really blame 'er. who whouldnt turn insane in this paradise? i would've forgiven her but she hurt paps one day. that is something i can't forgive so i taught her a lesson." He chuckled darkly, his pupil disappearing, as he held an axe, which you didn't notice before, and ran a finger on the edges. You shivered. His pupil returned after a few seconds as he hid the axe. You both sat in silence for a bit. You looked back to 'paps'. He looks like he is done. "Anyways, I think I have to go. Don't want to make him wait." You pointed to the talk skeleton, still not sure what you can call him. He nodded. "break a leg out there bucko. pap's puzzles ain't a walk in the park." You nodded and took a few steps towards paps. He looked at you. "AH! HUMAN! ARE YOU DONE TALKING TO MY BROTHER?" you nodded. He smiled. "GREAT! NOW THAT YOUR BODY AND MIND ARE FILLED WITH SOME JUICY CONTENT..." he took you by the collar of your shirt, taking you by surprise, and lifted you to his height. "LET THE PUZZLES BEGIN!!!"

Timeskip

You shrieked as you ran through the old, deadly bridge, barely getting burnt and bit. Sans seems to have the time of his life, laughing his non-existent butt off as papyrus seems pleased with you. "I MUST SAY THAT YOU ARE GOOD WITH PUZZLES HUMAN BUT, ARE YOU GOOD AT BATTLING WITH THE GREAT PAPYRUS?!" You finally learned his name. You shivered, not only by the cold, but also in fear. All the monsters that you have encountered so far were terrifying and strong. They almost tore your arm off! You really need bandages. Good thing you had some gold. You just need a store. Papyrus ran away, laughing his signature laugh. You tried to catch your breath as sans made his way towards you. "tired?" You nodded. "well too bad. paps is a great fighter and he will knock you down." Your eyes widened, your mind coming up with a few ideas of what he meant
You then went towards the town called snowdin. You saw a shop and immediately went through. There wasn't anybody in there but you. Silence greeted you as well as dust. You looked at the walls and floor only to see old footsteps, claw marks and holes on them. Huh, free resources I guess. You looked under the counter only to see a dust pile with a hat and a few clothes on it. You looked at it with sympathy, silently praying for the poor soul. "I hope you don't mind if I take some stuff..." You muttered, taking a few bags of bunny shaped buns, a few rolls of bandages, a cast and bottles of water. You also took a jacket and a bag. You put all the stuff in the bag and put the jacket on. You put a fair amount of gold on the counter, feeling bad that you have to take some things. You went outside and kneeled by the river to the north of the town. You took your makeshift bandages off and saw how bloody the wound is. You washed the blood off and put on some real bandages. You made sure that it's not too tight not loose before moving on to the next task. You took off your makeshift cast carefully and put the real one on. You sighed, content. You then rolled the sleeves back down and went back in town. You didn't fail to notice the hungry stares and glares that you were getting from the monsters in town. You sweat dropped as you quickened your pace. You eventually reached a foggy part of town. You flinched away as bones were summoned right behind you. You looked in front of you and saw papyrus but, he seems to be out of control. "STAY STILL HUMAN... I NEED FRESH NEW INGREDIENTS FOR MY SPAGHETTI..." He gripped a sharp bone tight. His small, beady eyes were no longer holding a small bit of I, it was holding insanity. This wasn't the papyrus you once knew. You snapped put of your thoughts as he ran towards you and tried to slice you. You dodged but got hit by a few bones that he summoned. You tried to catch your breath. He didn't even let you have your turn! "P-p-papyr-rus..." You breathed out. He didn't pay any attention to it. "P-please..... S-sto-op..." He continued throwing attacks at you non-stop. A few moments flew by, you were getting tired. You only have 1 hp. Papyrus was barely breaking a sweat. The battle got more heated and harder as time went by. Your body was desperately screaming for you to stop but you didn't. Soon, you just got tackled to the ground. You struggled helplessly, knowing that you can't escape it. You just screamed the first person's name that came in your mind. "SANS!" you screamed for help...

*But nobody came...

Yoj just looked down, a look of dismay and disappointment on your face. I guess this is it. You closed your eyes, waiting for the pain and the blood. You were shocked to feel Papyrus' body collapse on you. On instinct, you pushed him away. He flung off of you easily due to his lack of consciousness. You then saw sans.

*Someone did come after all...

You stood up and hugged him. He flinched, clearly not expecting you to suddenly hug him. He hugged back, figuring that you might need his comfort. He was holding the urge to rip your head off and eat you. You were bleeding as of now and he was really hungry for blood but he didn't want to scare you any further. You noticed and quickly let go. He looked at you, confused but then he caught on. "don't worry kid, it's alright, i can control it." You looked at him and hesitated but decided to not torture him with the smell of your blood so you stood at least 3 feet away from him. He sighed and looked down at the unconscious skeleton in front of us. "i'll carry him home. sorry for the attack, he just snapped outta control." You smiled and nodded at him as he carried papyrus back to their house. He looked back at me. "c'mon kiddo, stay with us in the house. i'm sure that paps won't mind it much." You looked at him, shocked. "R-really?" He nodded. You smiled a big one and followed him.

Timeskip

You have been with the skelebros for 3 years now. Papyrus apologized for his outburst as soon as he woke up but you forgave him. You managed to not slip into the insanity of this place and you helped the other monsters back, either in the town or out of it, to their normal selves. Well, mostly anyways. Some scars just wouldn't heal. They still had times where they would snap and try to eat you but you always managed to get them out of it. When the years passed by, you managed to find love in this world of insanity. Who are they? Well, they are no other than the infamous 'Crackhead' as you sometimes call him. He's annoyed with the nickname but other than that, he didn't really mind it much. You were sitting on the couch, scrolling through the channels on the TV , showing no other monster than the sadist and masochist looking robot. You managed to turn him back to normal but not before almost breaking your limbs. Speaking of limbs, your arm was mostly healed
You were grateful because it won't really disturb the monsters. You were so bored. Your not in the mood for TV, most definitely not in the mood to help the skelebros with their 'cooking', not in the mood to go out since it was so cold and your jacket was in the laundry. You don't want to borrow the brother's scarves and jackets since they smell like dead humans with the mix of rotten spaghetti/ketchup. No matter how many soap you washed it with, the smell doesn't come off, oddly enough. When you were about to die of boredom, your saviour in a bloody hoodie came in the door with 3 human corpses, well, more like killer on a bloody hoodie. You recognized it and forgot that those 3 are the last souls you need due to your boredom. You immediately pounced at him as he helped. You both fell as you felt the tip of his axe on your neck, barely touching it. He recognized you and put the axe away, sighing. "(Y/n)-" "I'm sooooooooooooo boooooooorrreeeeddd...." You cut him off, putting your head at the crook of his neck in some sort of way to hug him. Red dusted his cheeks as he closed the door. "(y/n), i almost cut your head, headless to say." He chuckled as you groaned, clearly not in the mood. "Saaaaaaaaaannnnnnssssss!" "fine, just, g-get off me first." You, not minding is stutter, rolled off of him. You didn't stop until you reached the kitchen. Sans followed you, clearly impressed with your actions. He put the corpses in the fridge and looked back at you. "umm.... ya alright there bucko?" You didn't respond, your hair a bit messy because of rolling. You stood up, a bit tired. Well, can't blame you for staying up too late because of you (insert your hobby here)? You looked at him, your eyes narrowing at the small migraine you got from looking at the light on the ceiling. He blushed, finding your expression cute. He kneeled in front of you and put a hand on your cheek, brushing a strand of hair away. You blushed a little. He didn't move, neither did you. He leaned closer to you and then- "THE BARRIER IS BROKEN!" you both jumped at least a feet from each other as Papyrus burst in the door, yelling with Glee. Your shocked. Really? You looked at sans and he looked like he just remembered something. You were both given no time to stand up as papyrus both carried you and ran to the castle, fast. Before you can even scream, you were there. Your eyes were wide in shock, cheeks dusting a red, almost maroon, color from earlier. Sans seems to be in the same condition. You were both outside the barrier. In there were toriel (who you apologized to after a year), alphys, undyne and the three of you. You all stared out at the night sky, at the millions of stars as well as the big, red moon. You can't believe it. You came in and went out at the same time. Today is also Halloween. After a while of talking and declaring you as the ambassador, they all left except for you and sans. You stared at the moon, smiling. Sans looked at you and blushed at the sight. You were looking at the sky peacefully, the stars seeing seen in your eyes. He cupped your cheek and looked at you. You stared back at him. He then leaned in and put his forehead on yours. "(y/n), i don't know if you will ever feel the same as me but, i have to get this off of my chest. i-i... i love you..." You looked into each other's flustered faces. You looked away as your cheeks grew redder. "I-i love you too sans..." His grin stretched. Then, you both shared a kiss under the blood, red moon as the clock struck 12.
