Your pov

You typed in your computer, searching stuff. You had a lot of stuff to do because the company is busy. It's because of monsters coming out from Mt.Ebbot. You were all very surprised at first but you all got a long. Well, not all but... Meh... You had big bags under your eyes, coffee on the side of your computer. You had been doing this since earlier this morning and it was stressing you out but, for the sake of your family, your going to do this. Your mother has amnesia while your dad is in the hospital because he got in a car accident. One of your siblings was sick. Good thing there was (sibling name), your other sibling, to watch them. So you worked overnight just to earn money for your family. One of your siblings died and you didn't wanted that to happen to any of your family members, ever. Anyways, you were close to halfway. The deadline of these are tommorow and tommorow, you need to examine your test subject, Sans. He has been in the lab for a couple of weeks because they said that he was fused with another monster and you are all trying to figure out on how he did that. You tried to ask him but he just shrugged and said he didn't remember. He said that he just remembered him being like that. He was one of the test subjects the company has. He was rather... Flirty... He can always make you blush. It was kind of annoying but cute too. You were dozing off. You shook your head and started typing your report.

~The next day...~

You got your folders,papers and reports in the bag while you ran to the lab. You looked at the time. 4:00 am. You were still tired but you have to do this. You went to the boss's office and passed some of your reports. You went to a room and read your reported in front of some people. You got it all finished as you sipped your coffee, heading to G's room. He said to call him that so... You'll call him that. The door opened as you went in. You saw G sleeping in his test tube. Well, it IS 4:30 am after all. You smiled and got your clipboard and pen. You sat down on a chair. Since he hasn't woken up yet, you can't start the tests. So you decided to draw him on the paper.

"Heya doll." You jumped and dropped your paper and pen. You got them as you looked at him. "G please. Don't startle me." You said as you took a sip of your coffee. "Nice drawing." He winked as you blushed. "Heh." You got him out of the tube and started the tests. You wrote down the results. Right now, all the effects are positive.

You smiled as nothing bad happened like usual. You gave him food. "Here. The tests are done for today G." "Can you stay here?" "Hmm? Why?" "I just wanna see your pretty face~" you blushed furiously. "G!" "but no seriously, can you please stay here? It gets lonely without you." You sat back down after nodding. "Sup?" "Nothing much." "Whaddya mean there's nothing? There's a ceiling there ya know." You smiled. Despite him being flirty, he was also punny. "Anyways, what do you want to talk about?"

You stayed with G and talked with him. It was 10:35 pm. You were typing the assignment your boss gave you earlier while G is behind you, watching you work. "Y'know, you shouldn't really stress yourself doll, I don't want your pretty face to get ruined by fatigue." He said, half serious. You blushed nonetheless. "G if you don't stop flirting me and if I mess this up, I'm gonna leave." "*Sigh* alright, whatever you say dove." He grabbed a seat and sat next to you, watching you type away.

It was 12:01 am. G was dozing off. He was trying to stay awake while you were still typing. This was the last assignment and you were almost done. G fell asleep, leaning on you. You blushed, it being barely visible thanks to the computer light but you were still flustered. You finished as you pressed the print button as it started printing. G was surprisingly comfortable. You felt like you were about to fall asleep but you shook your head. You carried G and put him in the test tube. You got him pillows and a blanket. You closed the test tube and smiled. You got the reports and went home.

You opened the door to your room and jumped on the bed after locking the doors and changing into your night gown. You sighed happily and fell asleep.

You were in an open field filled with fresh grass and wonderful flowers. You looked around. You noticed that there was someone is the distance. You walked to them. You recognized him as G. What was he doing here? You were a few steps from him until another skeleton formed beside him. They talked as the other one glitched. Now it had a crazed smile. G was worried and scared. The other skeleton launched at G. You ran to G and blocked the attack of the skeleton. He looked surprised. He had tears in his eyesockets. " ︎📬📬📬⍓︎❒︎❒ □💧 □💧 ❍ ︎🕯✋" he disappeared. G caught you as you fell. You had a big gash on your chest to your stomach. G cried. "No (y/n)! Please! Not again!" again? You smiled at him as your body turned limp, eyes turning dull and then passing out...

You sprung up but your stomach hurt. What? You lifted your shirt and saw a gash similar to the dream but it was smaller. You went to the bathroom,cleaned it and bandaged it up. It still hurt though so you gotta be careful. You looked at the time. 4:00am!!!! You were late! You rushed to the front door after changing and grabbing and apple, ignoring the pain. You ran to the lab and slammed the door startling everyone. They sighed and continued doing their business. You passed the reports to your boss and went to G's room. You heard whimpering. You saw G whimpering in his sleep, mumbling inaudible words. You went to him and opened the door to his test tube. You shook him lightly. "G?" He stirred and sobbed more. You shook him harder. "G!" You shook him more violently. He sprung up, his left eye glowing yellow. More years came out as he saw you. He hugged you and cried on your shoulder. "Bad dream?" He nodded. "Want to talk about it?" He shook his head. He still didn't let go of you. You sighed and rubbed circles on his back as his sobs went down to only hiccups. His breathing was slowing down. Soon, you heard soft snores. You smiled. You put mad him lean on the glass tube and went out.

You came back with a mattress, blankets and a pillow. Boss said that you can borrow it. You set the makeshift bed on the ground as you carried G and tucked him in the matress. You pat his skull and sat down, typing your reports while glancing at G to see if he is fine or if he will wake up.

You woke up to someone tapping your shoulder. You groaned and looked away, almost falling off the chair. "C'mon doll. Wake up. You don't want your boss to know that your slacking off." You groggily opened your eyes and saw G. "How long was i out?" You slurred as he chuckled and blushed a bit. "2 hours." You quickly stood up. "Oh no!" You felt pain from the gash and hissed. You also felt dizzy from standing up too fast. You fell but got caught by G. You looked up at him and blushed. You quickly straightened your posture. "I-im sorry!" "Nah. It's okay doll." You covered your face and went to get the stuff that you use to complete the tests that G needs to take.

You set up the machine and put the liquid you had all accidentally made in the small tube. You all tested it out on a human and nothing really happened. They said that you need to know what it does to a monster so here you are. You plugged some wires,untangled them, putting some other types of the strange liquids in some other tubes, connecting the tubes in the machine... Done! You wiped the sweat off of your forehead. This was the final test that G had to take before he can continue life as normal and for you to get vacation. Actually, you wanted to go with G. You will miss him when he goes. You just... Like him I guess. You blushed a little, averting your eyes as you fidgeted the sleeve of your lab coat. Even when that is happening, a small smile is stuck to your face, imagining a future with you and G. Your blush becoming more red the more you think about it. You won't even get into detail or else it will make you look like chili peppers. You opened the door to where G is. For a second you saw him had a worried and sad face. He looks like he was expecting something bad like, this happened in the past and he just remembered. But he quickly replaced it with his usual smirk and looked at you. "Hey dove. What's with the red face? Am I too hot to handle?" He winked flirtatiously as your neck and ears also became red. "S-stop it G! Anyways, c'mon, we have to go now." He followed you as you went to the room where the machine is. His aura felt, weird. Not the usual flirty and casual aura but it was more of the sad and depressing aura. You were worried but when you tried to ask him, he just replied with a smile and a shrug. You were beyond worried but continued anyways, not wanting to push him and possibly make it even worse. You opened the machine, the lights turning green and the tubes with the liquids lit up. G stepped in it anxiously. You closed the door and typed some stuff in the computer. You were really worried at what the result will be when doing this. You didn't really want to do it but your body was saying otherwise.

Your hand shakily pushed the button as the machine started buzzing and shaking. You were also shaking in fear. The liquids were getting drained as it went into G's body. You can't really see because of the fog inside the machine but you were sure that it does that. This was really tense. Then, you heard him scream. You got alarmed and ran to the computer, trying to stop the machine.

It won't stop. The screams continued as you heard scratching. You spammed the stop button but it didn't work. You went to the machine and banged on it, hoping it will open. You tried crowbarring it open but it still didn't budge. The strange liquids were gone.

The machine door opened and smoke exited. You saw a black figure. It was G. You were about to run to him but you were met with red pin pricks. You shivered and stepped back in fear. The red orbs are switching between red and yellow. The smoke cleared and you saw G. He looked... Normal? Suddenly, his eye glowed a bright red with an outline of yellow as you got flung at the wall. You hit the wall and fell, groaning in pain. Your gash's bandages were bloody and it made the situation worse. G chuckled darkly. He wore a crazy smirk on his face. You were petrified and scooted away to the door. He came closer, bone in hand. He was kind of glitching. For a split second, you saw G crying and in another, you saw his murderous look. "G-G please. Snap out of it!" He was glitching more frequently as he stopped a few steps away from you. He kneeled down and held his skull tightly, tears running down his face. "N0 ÑO nØ nO Stop iT!¡1" he shook his head,growling dangerously at the end of the sentence. You were confused, scared,worried,nervous... So many emotions at once. "Get OuT geT oUt gEt ouT g3t Œūt GÊt œÚt¡!¡11" his growling got louder, nails growing sharper,teeth growing into fangs. His eyes growing into slits as the holes of his hands grew spikes. His form got larger, giant, black and yellowish tentacles grew from his back as well as spikes. He grew a long tail that can definitely make you fly to Pluto. "G3t oùT ÑŒW!¡¡1" he shouted as best as he could. It sounded like multiple people speaking at once. His bones became black and glitchy, multi colored paint were on different sides of his body. His eye was blazing. You were too petrified to move but you were determined to help. A chunk fo his skull came off as his eye had another outline but it was purple. His cracks glowed yellow with some hints of blue. He looked at you and charged, the tentacles going for you and some bloody and dusty bones coming your way. Some knives with purple hue on it was thrown your way as different colored bones flew past. Red,orange,blue,purple,yellow... It all had different magic. "G please! Fight it!" You cried out as you dodged some blasters coming your way. You also saw multicolored ink slashes coming towards you. You dodged but some of them hit you as well as some knives,laser beams and bones. Strings came at your soul as your soul turned blue, the other half was light blue while the other one was purple. It made the fight even harder.

You panted as you got to your knees, catching your breath as blood rushed out of your wounds mixing with your tears. You looked at your status.

You used your coffee. You regained 45 HP! You ran as you saw more attacks coming. As expected, you got hit, getting more cuts,bruises and scars. You saw some scientists outside the room as they tried to break in but, the room cannot be entered even with a strong force. That was G's doing, he was making a forcefield in the room to keep the others from interrupting the fight. You kept on trying to snap G out of it but it seems like he was already struggling, tears flowing down on his face. You went closer to him. He looked alarmed, the attacks he released got more extreme. You got damaged but you still went to him and hugged his leg. He stopped, his face glitching to different but similar faces with different eyes. Suddenly, it turned to a murderous look and a knife was stuck in your soul. It wasn't a regular one though, it has soul poison which means your soul was poisoned and you have little to no chance of survival. Then, G's body glowed, his soul showed and some white streams came out of his soul. He came back to normal. He looked at you and held you. He was choking in his own sobs as he carried you. He teleported to the medical part of the lab. You got laid down on the medical bed as they attached different machines and got different healing potions to pour it on your soul. It still didn't work, in the middle of this, you passed out.

G's pov

I sat on the bench outside the medical room with a blank expression. How many times did this happen? I chuckled darkly. 1,000 times. I always tried to find a way to make her live but, it all ends up on her getting killed by me. I had tried every single possible choice but, it just won't happen. They soon got her in the hospital since there aren't enough supplies in the room. I waited. Ughh... I should've been there. I should've stopped the other from killing her. I should've got in control before they did. 'Son please don't blame yourself. There was nothing you-' 'no dad. I CAN do something about it. I just didn't do it. This is my punishment. I will accept any punishment but she shouldn't have been involved in it. It's just all my fault...' I ignored gaster as I thought of all the possible things that I should've done. Why am I just so weak? I should've been the one that had died, not her... She didn't deserve it. "Sir? Are you with (y/n) (l/n)?" I nodded and looked at the doctor. I stood up and followed him to (y/n)'s room. I saw (y/n) there, still unconscious. Her soul was out and was connected too different machines. "Sir, I am afraid that she won't make it. We do not know any cure for the sickness that she has in her soul." That made my soul break. I still didn't get used to the doctor's saying that she will die. "She can only live for 1 month. She can go out if this hospital tomorrow after a few check ups. We are really sorry but we do not know what the cure is." The doctor walked away. I got a chair and put it beside the hospital bed with (y/n) on it. I sat on the chair and watched her. Tears flowed out of my eyesockets. "Why does it have to be you? I thought that we can just be happy together. Heh, I guess not all wishes come true." I smiled sadly at her and caressed her cheek. I looked at her soul. It has faint purple veins. They were spreading slowly but surely. They will cover the soul and she will die. The light of her soul was so dim. I sighed. "And I thought that I can have a great future with you." I held her hand and gently squeezed it. "I love you (y/n)." I kissed her hand and watched her for the rest of the day.

Your pov

You woke up. You looked around. You were in a hospital. You looked to the side. You saw your soul with some faint purple veins. You looked at the other side and saw G. He seems to be lost in thought. You smiled and hugged him. He was surprised but chuckled. "Heya dove. Didn't see ya there." He smiled sadly. "Hey doll?" You smiled at him. "Can I tell you something?" "Go ahead."

"I....I Love you..." I said as I kneeled down in front of her grave. This has happened a lot of times but I just can't accept it. I just want a happy future with her. Tears fell from my eyesockets to the dirt of the grave. I placed a bouquet of flowers down. I sobbed quietly as the wind flew past me. Why does this have to happen? I waited... The world will reset at any time now...

B u t  N o t h i n g  C a m e . . .

No... Don't say that it will leave me like this..  that I can't see her again. I put my skull on my hands, sobbing. I just hope that whenever the next reset happens, I can do something to prevent her from suffering the same fate as the other resets including this one.

I waited for the reset. It has been a few months. It has almost been a year. Does this world just want me to suffer? I sighed as I walked outside, hands in my pockets. I watched the orange and yellow leaves fall and get carried by the wind. I hear the chatter of humans and monsters alike and the laughs of children fill the air. "Ooooh! Look sis! A skeleton!" I looked below me and saw a small child. He looks like he was in the age of 6.He did grabby hands, signalling me to pick him up. I chuckled and I did. He laughed. "(B/n)! Don't burden the other monsters!" I heard a familiar voice say. I looked beside me and saw a girl running to us. "Sorry sissy. Sorry skeleton." He said as I set him down. "I'm sorry sir but my brother is just like that when he sees monsters." The girl finally caught up. I examined her features. She looks like... "Nah,it's okay." I acted chill. "What is your name mister? My name is (B/n) and this is my sister, (y/n)!" I widened my eyesockets. She's alive... I smiled at them. "I'm sans but call me G." (B/n) clung on me. "So, where are you guys headed?" "Huh? We are going to grillby's. I heard that there is a job opening there. I need to apply because we need some money for the apartment and so we can buy some food." "I'm heading there too. Shall we go dove?" She blushed at the name. "S-sure." I smiled. I guess we might have a chance to have a happy ending after all...
